00:14 Hi, welcome to day nine of Ten Days of Prayer,
00:17 a prayer plan from our friends at revivalandreformation.org. 00:21 In Revelation 18:1 and 4, John says, "After all this, 00:27 I saw another angel come down from heaven 00:29 with great authority 00:30 and the earth grew bright with His splendor." 00:33 Verse 4, "Then I heard another voice 00:35 calling from heaven, 'Come away from her, my people. 00:38 Do not take part in her sins 00:40 or you will be punished with her.'" 00:43 Someday will come a great revival 00:44 among God's true people all over the earth. 00:47 The Holy Spirit will come down in great power. 00:50 This moving of the Holy Spirit was compared in Bible times 00:54 to the latter rains 00:55 that would fall in the Middle East, 00:56 bringing crops to maturity and harvest. 00:59 That can be found in Zechariah 10:1. 01:02 Someday, the people of God will go out 01:04 to share their faith in every way possible. 01:07 Miracles will be performed through Christ. 01:10 Thousands, perhaps millions will be saved. 01:13 The work of the Holy Spirit is to save the lost 01:16 and there is no greater joy than to share in that work. 01:20 Listen to this testimony. 01:22 One Sabbath, Lance and his wife, Renee, 01:25 came to our Seventh-day Adventist Church 01:26 for the first time. 01:28 Someone had left the book "Bible Readings for the Home" 01:31 on their doorstep. 01:32 Because of certain situations in their lives, 01:35 Lance and Renee decided to see what the book had to say. 01:38 Scanning the book, 01:39 they noticed the subject of the Sabbath, 01:40 which really piqued their interest. 01:42 They thoroughly studied that section 01:44 and were convicted that they needed to find the church 01:47 that printed the book. 01:48 Noticing that it was printed by Seventh-day Adventists, 01:51 they located our church and visited the next Sabbath. 01:54 Lance held up "Bible Readings for the Home" 01:57 and asked, "Does your church print this book?" 02:00 "Yes, we do," I replied. 02:02 "Great," Lance continued, "we have lots of questions. 02:05 Is there any chance you would come to our home 02:07 to give us Bible studies?" 02:09 "Of course," I assured them 02:10 I would be delighted to do that. 02:12 When I visited, I learned that Lance and Renee 02:14 and their two boys had been wishing 02:16 for big changes in their lives. 02:18 They had become victims of alcohol and substance abuse, 02:21 and their marriage was severely suffering. 02:24 I knew they needed the liberating power of Jesus. 02:27 As I shared the gospel, 02:29 constantly praying in my heart for God's help, 02:31 I could see the Holy Spirit was deeply convicting them. 02:35 I finished the gospel presentation, 02:37 and I asked, "Is there any reason 02:38 why you wouldn't want to give your life to Jesus?" 02:41 They responded that they would be very happy 02:43 for the forgiveness and salvation of Jesus. 02:45 We knelt in prayer right then 02:47 and I led them through a prayer of confession 02:49 and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. 02:53 With tears, they repeated the prayer after me 02:56 and we rose to our feet with joy. 02:58 The miracle power of the Holy Spirit 03:00 was clearly evident. 03:02 They were both now children of God. 03:04 When I arrived for our next weekly appointment, 03:07 I had barely taken three steps into the living room 03:10 when Lance asked, 03:11 "Pastor, what do you think about cigarette smoking? 03:14 Do you think it's something a Christian should do?" 03:17 I suggested we study the subject of healthful living 03:19 that night, which we did. 03:21 As a result of that Bible study and later visits, 03:24 Lance and Renee became free from all the chains 03:27 that Satan had enslaved them with. 03:29 Soon, they were baptized 03:30 and both of them became powerful helpers 03:32 in the cause of Christ, 03:33 sharing their testimonies 03:35 and giving Bible studies to family members and friends. 03:38 They too began to share in the work of the Holy Spirit 03:41 by spreading the gospel to all around them. 03:45 What a miracle and how powerful the power of God! 03:50 And it's made evident through the Holy Spirit 03:55 as it's displayed in these miracle scriptures. 03:58 Listen to these scriptures. 03:59 Acts 9:36 through 42. 04:03 At Joppa, this is a great story, 04:05 there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, 04:08 who became sick and died. 04:11 Peter was summoned to come to the home 04:13 where her body lay. 04:15 And when he arrived, 04:16 he knelt down by her and he prayed. 04:20 And turning to the body, he said, "Tabitha, arise." 04:24 She opened her eyes, 04:25 and when she saw Peter, she sat up. 04:29 Then he gave her his hand and lifted her up. 04:31 And when he had called the saints and widows, 04:34 he presented her alive. 04:36 And it became known throughout all Joppa 04:39 and many believed on the Lord. 04:42 The purpose of miracles 04:44 is so that people may have evidence 04:48 by which to believe in Christ Jesus. 04:52 You see, the change 04:54 that happened in the lives of the couple 04:55 from this testimony I read, 04:58 it's a miracle that God can use to draw others to Himself. 05:03 That's what miracles are for. 05:06 Mark 16:15 through 18, "Jesus said to them, 05:11 'Go into all the world 05:12 and preach the gospel to every creature. 05:15 He who believes and is baptized will be saved, 05:18 but he who does not believe will be condemned. 05:22 These signs will follow those who believe. 05:25 In My name, they will cast out demons 05:30 and they will speak with new tongues. 05:33 They will take up serpents 05:34 and if they drink anything deadly, 05:37 they will by no means hurt them. 05:40 They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.'" 05:47 Friend, God is calling each of us 05:49 to go into all the world to heal the sick, 05:53 to preach the gospel message, 05:56 and to demonstrate the character of God 05:58 to everyone. 06:01 Will you accept His call? 06:22 Rescue the perishing 06:25 Care for the dying 06:29 Snatch them in pity 06:31 From sin and the grave 06:35 Weep o'er the erring one 06:38 Lift up the fallen 06:41 Tell them of Jesus 06:44 The mighty to save 06:49 Rescue the perishing 06:52 Care for the dying 06:55 Jesus is merciful 06:58 Jesus will save 07:07 Though they are slighting Him 07:10 Still He is waiting 07:13 Waiting the penitent child to receive 07:19 Plead with them earnestly 07:23 Plead with them gently 07:26 He will forgive 07:29 If they only believe 07:33 So, rescue the perishing 07:36 Care for the dying 07:40 Jesus is merciful 07:43 Jesus will save 07:55 Let's take time to pray. 08:00 Dear Father in heaven, 08:01 I ask that You would make me Your servant. 08:07 Help me share the message of Your love and salvation. 08:13 By Your grace, Lord, 08:14 I dedicate myself to becoming educated and equipped 08:18 to share the gospel in the way You choose for me. 08:25 Baptize me in Your Holy Spirit 08:27 so that I will be driven from within 08:29 to overcome obstacles and fears. 08:34 Let me be a channel of Your power 08:38 and the saving message 08:40 of the crucified and risen Christ. 08:48 Lord, I ask that You will bless the efforts of pastors 08:51 and Bible workers and teachers and evangelists 08:54 all over the world. 08:57 Fill them with great power and authority. 09:01 May millions of your children be saved this year in 2020. 09:06 God, save millions of souls. 09:10 Please let our families reveal Your love 09:12 in our homes and our communities. 09:16 We ask that You would bring harmony into our homes, 09:20 heal broken relationships, 09:22 protect the vulnerable from abuse, 09:24 reveal Your sanctifying power 09:27 in seemingly hopeless situations. 09:30 And then use all of these healings 09:33 and use Your working... 09:40 to win others to You, 09:43 when others see the miracles in the lives of those 09:46 that have been changed. 09:50 May our church members around the world 09:52 feed on Your word every day, God. 09:55 Give us a closer walk with You, Lord. 09:58 May we also seek 10:05 Your daily word in our personal prayer life. 10:10 Remind us that without you, Lord, we can do nothing. 10:18 Father, I ask that You will raise up nurses and doctors 10:24 to plant new churches 10:25 among the nearly 2,000 people groups 10:30 in the 22 countries in West Central Africa. 10:38 Lord, I pray for the 49 million people, 10:41 49 million people in the 19 least-reached cities 10:46 of trans-European division. 10:54 God, so many people need You. 11:01 Lord, please let our youth not only preach the sermon, 11:06 but also be the sermon. 11:08 Lord, that goes for young and old. 11:15 God, we ask You to bless Global Youth Day efforts, 11:21 and the 100,000 total youth involvement initiative. 11:29 Wonderful plans 11:33 to win the lost to you, Lord. 11:37 We pray for the people who were on our list, 11:42 who need You, 11:46 who need Your healing, 11:49 need salvation. 11:57 Lord, give them hearts to know You 12:03 and give us hearts for the lost. 12:10 Rescue the perishing 12:14 Duty demands it 12:17 Strength for thy labor 12:20 The Lord will provide 12:24 Back to the narrow way 12:27 Patiently win them 12:30 Tell the poor wand'rer 12:33 A Savior has died 12:37 Rescue the perishing 12:41 Care for the dying 12:44 Jesus is merciful 12:47 Jesus will save 12:52 Rescue the perishing 12:54 Oh, care for the dying 12:59 Jesus is merciful 13:03 Jesus will save 13:14 Lord, we are a needy people and we need You. 13:21 We need You, God, to move in our lives, 13:25 to give us direction. 13:32 Lord, we need You to bring healing 13:34 to our frail bodies. 13:37 Even at our healthiest point, 13:38 we are simply dust. 13:43 Who is man that You are mindful? 13:49 And yet You are our only hope, God. 13:55 So many of us are in need of You 14:00 to move in our lives, 14:05 to provide a miracle 14:06 that will bring us through the valley. 14:16 Thank You for being the great shepherd 14:19 who walks with us through those valleys 14:23 and who will bring us out 14:29 that we may share our victory with others. 14:39 Lord, again I bring to you marriages 14:43 that need mending. 14:48 God, I ask that You would, please, 14:52 draw husbands and wives 14:57 close to You 15:02 that they might be close to one another. 15:09 Lord, remind them of the love 15:10 that they once had for each other. 15:19 Draw them close, change their hearts, God. 15:31 Father, 15:32 for those who don't have 15:35 proper health insurance, 15:40 who can't afford to have 15:44 tests, 15:48 who are facing conditions 15:52 and they've been diagnosed and... 16:00 Lord, they need a way to pay. 16:05 God, be their provider. 16:10 And, Lord, Your word declares and tells us 16:15 that we are to bear one another's burdens. 16:18 So, I ask that You will lay it upon our hearts 16:20 to take that to heart, 16:24 and if we see a financial need where we can be of assistance, 16:30 Lord, help us to obey Your Word. 16:39 Lord, we don't have to ask You to help us obey 16:43 when we're hungry to eat, because we do that. 16:50 May we be as hungry to obey Your Word 16:55 as we are to satisfy our own appetites, God. 17:03 Lord, for those who are facing depression 17:06 due to a loss of income, 17:10 due to financial difficulty, 17:15 Lord, I ask that you would intervene, 17:18 lift their spirits by providing them a miracle, God. 17:22 Show them a way through. 17:32 Lord, I know that there's someone watching 17:35 that needs deliverance from impure thoughts. 17:42 Someone needs deliverance from anger. 17:50 Someone needs deliverance from fear. 18:04 Fear can take so many different... 18:08 There are so many different kinds of fears. 18:13 So, God, I ask that You would 18:18 meet this fear with Your power and deliver. 18:28 God, I lift up Christians 18:32 who are working in the public school systems 18:36 that they may reflect Christ 18:39 to the students that they teach. 18:42 What a wonderful opportunity that they have, 18:47 to be Christ to their students 18:50 and yet we know 18:51 how careful they have to be 18:56 to witness. 19:01 So, I ask that You would give them wisdom, God, 19:06 and that You would bless them financially. 19:10 Lord, oftentimes our teachers aren't paid well. 19:17 And there are those 19:18 who are paying off college debt. 19:23 Father, all these prayers, 19:25 they're not just random prayers, Lord. 19:27 We know that You are touched with our needs. 19:34 And that's why we bring these prayers to You, Lord. 19:38 We know that You can provide. 19:45 We know that You have the answer, God. 19:50 And, Lord, I lift up our service people, 19:52 our policemen, and our armed guards, 19:56 those who protect us day by day. 20:00 God, I pray 20:04 that You would touch them. 20:06 Lord, I know we live in such a volatile society 20:11 where people are losing their ability to be civil, God. 20:19 Lord, protect our servicemen and women 20:21 with safety and with favor. 20:25 Help us to live peaceably together. 20:45 Help us to spread the Great Commission, 20:50 or to fulfill the Great Commission, 20:54 to go and tell the world about You 20:56 that You are alive and well. 21:08 We have heard the joyful sound 21:12 Jesus saves! 21:14 Jesus saves! 21:17 Spread the gladness all around 21:21 Jesus saves! 21:24 Jesus saves! 21:26 Bear the news to every land 21:31 Climb the steeps 21:33 and cross the waves 21:35 Onward! 21:37 'tis our Lord's command 21:41 Jesus saves! 21:43 Jesus saves! 21:50 Sing above the battle's strife 21:54 Jesus saves! 21:56 Jesus saves! 21:58 By His death and endless life 22:02 Jesus saves! 22:04 Jesus saves! 22:06 Sing it softly through the gloom 22:10 When the heart for mercy craves 22:14 Sing in triumph o'er the tomb 22:19 Jesus saves! 22:21 Jesus saves! 22:35 Give the winds a mighty voice 22:39 Jesus saves! 22:41 Jesus saves! 22:43 Let the nations now rejoice 22:47 Jesus saves! 22:49 Jesus saves! 22:51 Shout salvation full and free 22:55 Highest hills and deepest caves 22:59 This our song of victory 23:04 Jesus saves! 23:07 Jesus saves! 23:15 Thank You, Father, for salvation. 23:24 Almighty God, 23:27 You hold all things together, 23:31 from the smallest seed to the largest tree, 23:36 from each microscopic species to the fiercest lion, 23:41 from the depths of the oceans 23:43 to the great expanse of the universe. 23:49 Thank You for the beauty around us, God. 23:53 Thank You for the complexity of life within us. 23:59 God, thank You for growth, 24:01 for renewal, for breath. 24:09 Lord, You sustain the whole earth, 24:12 bringing food and nourishment from the soul... 24:16 from the soil. 24:19 You have showered the land with streams of water. 24:24 You have warmed our lives with the heat of the sun. 24:28 And You have blessed our dwellings with rain. 24:33 Thank You for all this abundant, 24:35 incredible beauty and intricate life. 24:38 And more than this, 24:41 You have paid the price for the sins of man, 24:47 and You have laid out a path straight into Your heart. 24:52 You have adopted us as sons through Jesus Christ 24:55 and invited us to call you Abba Father. 25:03 So, Lord, I thank You and I lift Your name on high 25:08 and I sing praises to Your name, God, 25:11 for Your name is great and greatly to be praised. 25:17 I love You, Lord. 25:22 Thank You for salvation, God. 25:27 Thank You for hope, for eternal life. 25:34 Thank You that You have a plan, 25:37 and a purpose, 25:40 a destiny for us. 25:50 We will proclaim Your greatness, 25:56 and we will proclaim Your message, Lord. 26:02 I am not ashamed to be a Christian, 26:08 not ashamed to spread Your word, 26:12 not ashamed to pray, 26:17 I'm not ashamed to serve You. 26:27 In Matthew 7:7 and 8, 26:32 this is great. 26:34 It says, "Ask and it will be given to you. 26:37 Seek and you will find, 26:39 knock and it will be opened to you. 26:42 For anyone who asks, receives. 26:45 And he who seeks, finds. 26:49 And to him who knocks, it will be opened." 26:54 So, don't be afraid to go to God in prayer. 27:05 Again, remind someone that you're praying for them. 27:13 Such a powerful thing to know 27:15 that we can rely on each other 27:19 to lift one another to God in prayer. 27:33 We have heard the joyful sound 27:37 Jesus saves!
