00:06 and I'm ready to play while you sing along.
00:10 And if you don't remember all the words,
00:12 don't worry, they're on the screen.
00:14 And now, Your Favorites By Request.
00:17 Your Favorite By Request La-la-la
00:21 Welcome to Your Favorite By Request.
00:24 Recitations.
00:26 They're not my specialty,
00:28 but I've had a few requests for this first song.
00:30 And I really do like the concept of the song
00:32 that reminds us how Christ carries us
00:36 through our toughest circumstances.
00:38 So feel free to sing along, speak along,
00:41 on footprints in the sand.
00:44 One night I had a dream.
00:46 I dreamed I was walking along the beach
00:48 with my Lord.
00:50 And across the sky flash scenes from my life.
00:53 For each scene, I noticed
00:55 two set of footprints in the sand.
00:58 One set belong to me, the other to the Lord.
01:03 When the last scene of my life flashed before us,
01:06 I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
01:09 And I noticed many times along the path of life,
01:12 there was only one set of footprints.
01:15 And I also noticed that
01:16 it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in my life.
01:21 This really bothered me,
01:23 so I questioned the Lord about it.
01:29 One set of footprints In the sand
01:35 Lord, you promised me You'd hold my hand
01:41 Tell me why In the troubled time
01:45 I looked back to only find
01:49 One set of footprints in the sand
01:56 Lord, You said that one side decided to follow you.
02:00 You would walk with me all the way,
02:04 but I noticed
02:05 that during the most troublesome times in my life,
02:08 there's only one set of footprints.
02:10 I don't understand
02:12 why in times where I needed You most
02:15 that You should leave me.
02:19 The Lord replied,
02:21 "My precious, precious child,
02:24 I love you,
02:25 and I would never ever leave you.
02:28 During your times of trial and suffering,
02:32 when you saw only one set of footprints,
02:36 it was then that I was carrying you."
02:42 One set of footprints in the sand
02:48 Oh yes, at last, I understand
02:54 Through every storm He carried me
02:57 Now I praise the Lord each time
03:00 I see one set of footprints
03:05 In the sand
03:09 One set of footprints in the sand
03:19 That's a great idea, isn't it?
03:21 That's true, you know.
03:22 Yeah.
03:24 He does...
03:25 He carries us. Carries us.
03:26 He does carry us
03:28 and He never leaves or forsakes us.
03:29 That's right. I love that.
03:30 I love that.
03:32 There's a great scripture in Matthew 18:11-13,
03:37 that talks about the shepherd,
03:42 Christ as the great shepherd who goes after the one sheep.
03:47 He has 99...
03:48 Right.
03:50 And, but He goes after the one that has gone astray.
03:54 And there's a great song that goes along with those,
03:59 I think two or three verses in the scripture, but...
04:04 Yeah, the verses are short,
04:06 but the song is very descriptive
04:07 of that whole scene.
04:09 Yeah.
04:10 It paints a great picture of Him.
04:11 It's a great picture of Christ's desire
04:13 not to even let one be lost.
04:15 Yeah. The 99.
04:20 There were ninety and nine That safely lay
04:26 In the shelter of the fold
04:32 But one was out On the hills away
04:38 Far off from the gates of gold
04:43 Away on the mountains Wild and bare
04:50 Away from the tender Shepherd's care
04:56 Away from the tender
05:01 Shepherd's care
05:05 Lord, Thou hast here The ninety and nine
05:11 Are they not enough For Thee?
05:16 But the Shepherd made answer
05:20 This of Mine Has wandered away from Me
05:27 And although The road be rough and steep
05:33 I go to the desert To find My sheep
05:40 I go to the desert To find My sheep
05:48 But none of the ransomed Ever knew
05:53 How deep were the waters That they crossed
06:02 Nor how dark was the night
06:05 That the Lord passed
06:09 Ere found His sheep That was lost
06:15 Out in the desert
06:19 He heard its cry Sick and helpless,
06:25 And ready to die
06:28 Sick and helpless, And ready to die
06:38 And all thro' the mountains, Thunder-riv'n
06:44 And up from the rocky steep
06:49 There arose a cry To the gate of heav'n
06:55 Rejoice! I have found My sheep!
07:01 And the angels echoed Around the throne
07:07 Rejoice, for the Lord Brings back His own!
07:14 Rejoice, for the Lord
07:18 Brings back His own!
07:27 That's great.
07:28 And we'll be back right after this.
07:31 So come back.
