00:01 (Breath Of Life Music)
00:01 #S093 - “Crazy Praise” (Part 2)
00:19 Welcome to the Breath of Life.
00:21 Television Ministries broadcast with Pastor Debleaire Snell.
00:25 Now in today's episode, Pastor Snell preaches part
00:28 two of the powerful message, “Crazy Praise.”
00:33 Now let's go deeper into the word of God.
00:37 Oh, God, I wish I had somebody that was with me today.
00:40 How many of us know that God is not a stingy God?
00:43 That you got to pry his hands open with?
00:46 Hey, no, that is not the purpose of faith.
00:50 Faith is not prying open hands that God wants to keep close.
00:54 I need you to know that God's
00:55 hands are already open toward his children,
01:01 and he delights to supply whatever you stand in need of.
01:05 You hear me? Today, Church?
01:06 In other words, I need somebody to be clear on this truth
01:10 that God is not and type blessing.
01:12 He is not trying to withhold any good faith.
01:16 In fact, when you read Deuteronomy 28,
01:19 he says to Israel, I want you to be the head and not the tail.
01:24 I want you to be above and not beneath.
01:27 I want you lending and not borrowing.
01:30 In fact, he says,
01:31 I don't want you to run around chasing blessings.
01:34 But he says, if you obey my commands
01:37 and keep my statutes, the blessings of the Lord
01:40 will chase you down and overtake you.
01:45 Are you hear what I'm saying?
01:46 And so if you realize the way that God blessed Joseph,
01:51 the way He blessed Solomon, the way God took care of Joe
01:55 teaches us that God is not against blessing His children.
02:00 But there is a caution for us to embrace
02:03 going in your Bible's first Timothy chapter
02:05 six, first Timothy Chapter six and verse ten.
02:08 When you get there, let me hear you
02:09 say, Man, that's over there.
02:10 Toward the end of the New Testament verse, Timothy,
02:13 chapter six.
02:14 Could you just give you this one caution first, Timothy?
02:18 Chapter one and verse six.
02:20 And the reason this is critical is because we are in the age
02:25 where we might have to give up some things.
02:29 You see how you
02:31 see how you see.
02:33 You see, all we want to do
02:34 is debate this stuff in Sabbath school.
02:37 But when it's time for us to talk about living it,
02:39 you'll get quiet on that first.
02:41 Timothy chapter. Chapter six.
02:43 We might be about the age where we've got to
02:45 give up some things.
02:47 We might have to give up some things.
02:51 That's why the Bible says
02:52 Now godliness with contentment is what is great game.
02:57 But we brought nothing into this world
02:58 and it is certain that we can carry what nothing out.
03:04 And having food and clothing with these things
03:07 we shall be content.
03:08 But those who desire to be rich fall into what
03:12 temptation and a snare and into many foolish
03:16 and harmful left which drown men and destruction
03:18 and prediction for the love of money
03:24 is the root
03:25 of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the free
03:31 in their greediness
03:32 and pierced themselves through many sorrows.
03:34 The Darkest Saturday Church.
03:37 Now again, I want to be clear.
03:38 I'm not saying that money is evil or having is wrong,
03:43 but notice that the Bible says it is the love of money
03:48 that is the root of all evil.
03:50 And one of the things I simply want to encourage us
03:52 to do is to move away from the place
03:55 where we're where wealth is, our metric
03:57 for success, happiness, peace and contentment.
04:02 And what I'm saying today.
04:03 CHURCH In other words, what I simply want to encourage
04:05 the church to do is to make sure we chase God more than we
04:09 chase things.
04:11 And this is the formula.
04:13 If you chase God, you will never lack things.
04:16 So God.
04:20 And what I want to say to some young person
04:21 is, I don't want you to chase possessions.
04:25 I want you to chase your purpose.
04:27 And when you find your purpose, guess what possessions
04:30 and things are going to find you.
04:34 You see, reason Joe was able to possess things
04:38 was because he was possessed by the Spirit
04:41 more than he was possessed by things.
04:44 And let me just say this,
04:45 because I'm using this word being possessed intentionally.
04:49 Because when we think about being possessed,
04:51 what do we think about?
04:51 We think about demons.
04:53 We think about the seven sons of Shiva
04:57 who are attacked by a man possessed
04:58 by a hostile, evil spirit
05:00 who overwhelmed them and beat them down
05:03 and bring them out naked.
05:04 When we think about being possessed,
05:06 we think about the man at the gate
05:08 who reads, who could not be held with a feather or chain.
05:13 When we think about somebody being possessed,
05:15 we think about the young boy
05:16 that threw himself into the fire and the water
05:19 and he found at the mouth.
05:20 And the reason we think about possession in this way
05:25 is because we realize that there can be a power
05:28 that controls your words, your minds,
05:30 your movements and your priorities.
05:34 Why am I saying that?
05:35 Because I believe that in our time,
05:37 one of the
05:38 things the devil is going to operate in is misdirection.
05:41 And he knows
05:43 that some of us are on guard for that type of possession.
05:48 In other words, we can see that type of darkness coming.
05:51 So we're not going to allow
05:52 ourselves to be possessed in that way.
05:56 But one of the things I want to pause
05:58 and stand on business and say, well, we've got to guard against
06:01 is the spirit of materialism
06:05 that literally disrupts
06:07 the character of the layered descent church
06:12 that cannot see its flaws because it says, I'm rich
06:15 and increase with good and have need of nothing.
06:19 In other words, some of us are not possessed
06:22 by an EMP, but we're possessed by an iPhone.
06:28 Some of us are not controlled by a spirit,
06:30 but we're controlled by spending.
06:33 Some of us are not in bondage to a demon,
06:36 but we're controlled by the car dealership.
06:38 Y'all not here with me today.
06:40 Some of us are not bound by the spirit,
06:43 but some of us are bound by Nike.
06:46 We're bound by Netflix, we're bound by gambling.
06:49 We're bound by sports.
06:51 We're well controlled by Instagram
06:54 than we are by Emmanuel.
06:57 Some are more possessed by Mary Kay than we are by the Master.
07:02 Some are more to Mercedes than we do to the Messiah.
07:05 Some love Michael.
07:06 Cause more than we love Michael.
07:08 Who is Jesus?
07:12 So I'm sorry. You all are going to be strange.
07:13 Oh, no, Pastor, I'm not possessed by things.
07:17 Well, how do you know if you're possessed by things?
07:19 If things become your validation,
07:22 if things bring stature, it bring.
07:26 If things connote worth, if things bring
07:30 you security, then things are what are possessing you.
07:35 Okay,
07:37 you're possessed.
07:39 If you have an innate need to keep up
07:42 with the Joneses, you're possessed.
07:49 If you have a need to upgrade devices,
07:51 that ain't got nothing wrong with them.
07:54 Oh, yeah, yeah.
07:55 I'm rolling right down your holiday.
07:56 I told you I was going to go home, but I'm not staying here.
07:58 Where are you on this?
08:00 Watch this.
08:01 You're possessed when you see other people's lack
08:04 as their problem.
08:15 I need to know it is something wrong with the body of Christ
08:18 when we see other people's lack as the curse of those
08:22 who have led, as opposed to the opportunity of those
08:25 who have abundance.
08:29 No, no, no, no, no.
08:30 Wherever there is lack, that is not their responsibility.
08:35 It is our opportunity to show forth the praises of him
08:39 that has brought
08:40 us out of darkness and into this marvelous light.
08:44 How many of us understand that God blesses you,
08:47 that God shows you favor, that God doesn't just meet
08:51 your basic needs, but God has all that.
08:54 Your needs are here.
08:55 But His supply is here.
08:58 But God has not called you to be a collector.
09:02 God has called you to be a conduit through which
09:04 the blessings of God flow earthward toward man.
09:09 Okay, let me take you out to the Bible.
09:11 Can I say something?
09:12 Got to go with me in your Bible.
09:13 To Ezekiel, chapter 16.
09:15 Ezekiel, chapter 16.
09:17 I want you to see some real quick.
09:19 Do you know why God actually destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah?
09:23 I want you to see this thing in your Bible.
09:26 Ezekiel, chapter 16.
09:27 And I'm going to look over here at verse 49.
09:31 Ezekiel 16, when I'm with you, look at verse 49.
09:35 See, the problem is we so surface
09:37 that all we do is we look at symptoms,
09:39 but we don't never understand the virus.
09:41 We actually think the reason that God rained streams of
09:46 brimstone and fire was because God
09:49 was wanting to punish the sin of homosexuality.
09:53 I need you to know that God don't hate homosexual sin
09:57 more than He hates. Heterosexual said.
09:59 If they deserve to be all quiet today,
10:02 if they should about guess what?
10:03 We ought to be burning too.
10:06 But that wasn't really the issue is the key of chapter
10:09 16 and verse actually 48.
10:12 Look at what the word saying is.
10:13 The Bible says as I live, saith the Lord.
10:16 Neither your sisters, Sodom, nor her daughters have done
10:19 as you and your daughters have done.
10:21 Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom.
10:25 She and her daughters had what?
10:27 Pride, fullness of light
10:30 and abundance of what?
10:32 Neither did she.
10:34 Strengthen the hand of the poor and the needy.
10:38 And they were hearty and committed abomination before me.
10:42 You catch Saturday church.
10:43 Do you understand the way God created Sodom?
10:46 It is
10:47 actually compared in Scripture to being like the garden of God.
10:51 In fact, Ellen White makes it clear that God men
10:53 are decorated, solemn, with such ease
10:57 that it was so comfortable with the climate that you didn't
11:00 have to build the house you can live outside
11:03 that the city of five them actually irrigated itself
11:07 so that you did not have to dig ditches or wells
11:10 in order to here give water.
11:11 And that God blessed the trees to be of such a height
11:15 where you didn't have to climb the trees.
11:17 They actually handed you the fruit every day.
11:20 And the problem with Saddam is they got so high minded
11:23 and so full of themselves
11:25 that they kept every blessing unto themselves
11:29 and they did not help those around them.
11:34 And if they covered in judgment, guess what?
11:36 We better be praying for grace for ourselves.
11:42 You know how you possessed
11:44 is if things
11:46 change the way you praise God,
11:51 so that if the subtraction of things
11:54 creates a subtraction of praise,
11:59 if the loss of things equates to a loss of praise.
12:05 In other words, if your praise meter
12:08 is always in harmony with the abundance of things,
12:12 there is something fundamentally wrong in the way
12:15 we are doing worship.
12:16 Because the truth is,
12:17 no matter how much I possess or how much I don't have,
12:22 the truth is that God is still worthy to be praise.
12:26 And I stand here in the strength of the Lord
12:30 to declare that the exorcism that needs to take place
12:34 in the contemporary church
12:35 is that there doesn't need to be the calling out of a spirit
12:39 in the traditional form.
12:41 But what we need to be loosed from
12:43 is the spirit of comparison.
12:46 We need to be free from the spirit of competing.
12:50 We need to be loosed from the spirit of trying to have.
12:53 Some of us need to be free from the spirit of materialism.
12:57 And I stand here in the power of Jesus of Nazareth.
13:02 And I don't call out a demon,
13:04 but I rebuke the spirit of materialism
13:08 and I pray, God, that you are loosed and set us free
13:14 in Jesus name.
13:15 Today.
13:19 Third thing before I get to this,
13:22 I do want to pause and say one thing, quick thing,
13:24 and this is kind of a little bit of power from the sermon.
13:26 One thing I want to say real quick is that it is bad theology
13:30 to blame every bad thing on God.
13:34 No, no.
13:35 I need you know, that that is a bad approach to things.
13:38 So so that when you look at when the one servant came
13:41 to tell him about what happened to some of his possessions.
13:44 Notice what he said.
13:45 Now, remember, we know the behind the scenes
13:48 that Satan comes and seeks out permission to bring harm to Joe.
13:53 So the attack does not come from God?
13:59 No. This speaks to the magnitude of Job's faith.
14:04 Because notice what he says.
14:05 It says The fire of who fell on the things.
14:09 The Bible says the fire of God fell upon them.
14:13 But understand,
14:14 a part of Satan's deception is to get you to believe
14:19 that God is responsible for his handiwork.
14:24 So I need you to know that there is something wrong with us.
14:26 See, one of the things that's wrong with us is because we have
14:29 is that we have to find a reason for every bad thing.
14:33 And so what we tend to do by nature in it is what
14:35 literally what kind of caused jobs, friends to go straight,
14:39 you know, really, they were good at first
14:41 and first they just came sat down and shut up.
14:46 And can I say, when somebody is grieving,
14:47 sometimes it's okay to come without a solution,
14:51 a word of encouragement, an answer to every problem.
14:55 Sometimes the best thing you can do
14:57 is just come sit down and be present in Jesus name
15:01 and let your presence be.
15:03 Provide the comfort.
15:05 But notice where they messed up is they had to have a solution.
15:09 So essentially what they say to Joe, man, you,
15:11 you, you, you, you got to have done something wrong
15:17 for all this stuff to be happening to you.
15:20 And in other words, there's always a need to assess blame.
15:23 And one of the things I need
15:24 somebody to understand fundamentally about God.
15:26 We heard it earlier, John, chapter ten and verse ten,
15:29 the thief comes
15:32 to steal to kill.
15:34 And what?
15:36 But Jesus says, I have come.
15:39 That they might have life and life more abundantly.
15:43 Let me be true clear.
15:45 There are some things that God allows.
15:49 But those are not things that He intends.
15:53 I, I need to know every bad thing that happens to you.
15:57 It is not the curse or the judgment
15:59 or the punishment of God.
16:01 The truth is,
16:01 we're going to have some hardships
16:03 and we're going to have
16:04 some difficulties simply because there is an enemy
16:09 who is the prince of this world, who is going to do everything
16:11 in his power to plan you away from your trust in God.
16:18 And I need somebody
16:19 to be loose and free from the anger
16:24 and resentment that you have been holding against God.
16:27 Because a mama died,
16:28 because a bill didn't get paid, because an accident took place.
16:33 And you assume that God said certain things as punishment.
16:36 When the truth is all, trouble is not earned.
16:38 Some trouble is just inherited.
16:42 Do you realize that as descendants
16:45 of Adam, we receive an inheritance
16:48 and a part of that inheritance is hardship
16:51 and calamity and death.
16:51 If you want to be mad at somebody
16:53 when we get to heaven, let's pull Adam to a corner.
16:58 Are you hear what I'm saying to the church?
17:00 And what I'm saying to somebody today
17:02 is that some of us have been blaming God for some things.
17:05 That was the work of the enemy.
17:08 It is the enemy that did this.
17:09 Do you realize that
17:10 death is the cause or the coworker of our enemy?
17:15 That calamity?
17:16 It is the work of our enemy.
17:18 That destruction.
17:19 It is the work of our enemy.
17:21 I need you to know that God is not the author of pain.
17:26 Even if He allowed it.
17:28 And even you realize that
17:30 even in God, what God allowed and he allowed a lot on Joe.
17:35 And so
17:36 sometimes some of us have the theology
17:37 that says all of us are going to be tested like Joe was.
17:39 No, actually, that's not true.
17:41 Joe was actually man and outlier.
17:44 It was written for our benefit.
17:47 Everybody is not going to go through this test.
17:49 You ought to praise God.
17:51 You ought to say, man,
17:53 it was written so that we understand
17:54 what is happening behind the scenes,
17:56 but understand
17:57 and that that the Lord even and all that he allowed
18:02 he gave the devil some restrictions.
18:05 He says, Don't you go past a certain point.
18:08 He says, You can go here and no further
18:11 that he gave trouble a boundary.
18:12 Oh, you not hear me today?
18:14 I need you to know that it would have been worse for Joe
18:18 if God didn't give His trouble some boundaries.
18:22 And I need to say to somebody that's in a dark space today,
18:25 as bad as it is, it could be a thousand times
18:29 worse if God didn't give Joe trouble a boundary.
18:34 If He didn't say here and no further.
18:37 And how many of us know that what was permitted
18:41 is never as bad as what was intended?
18:45 If you
18:46 could see what the devil intended for you,
18:49 if you could see what he intended for your health,
18:52 if you would see what was intended for your kids,
18:54 if you would see
18:55 what was intended for your faith, guess what?
18:57 You would have to be held down.
18:59 We would have to bound you to keep you from praising God
19:04 because you would realize that when the weapon formed
19:07 and the heavenly
19:08 God intercepted it before He got to the earthly.
19:13 So that what touched you was only a portion
19:16 of what was sent for you?
19:18 Can you praise him that the weapon that was found
19:22 did not get permitted to prosper
19:25 because God blocked it?
19:29 God held it back.
19:31 God gave it a boundary.
19:33 God says they can handle this.
19:36 So I can only go so far
19:42 and hang on. Like
19:44 that's the most I read story.
19:45 Joe, you know,
19:46 I said, Lord, this week I was like, Lord, I knew.
19:48 Yet because the Bible says
19:53 he has perhaps the worst day imaginable.
19:59 I mean, he just he's
20:02 just trying to eliminate him.
20:05 He's just trying to get to the end of the day, one comes
20:08 and says, all the oxen,
20:11 all the cattle.
20:13 Let me say to Joe, all your money has been taken
20:16 and I'm the only one to tell you another.
20:18 Well, that one is still speaking.
20:20 Comes and says this joke man, all the fields
20:24 have been overtaken in and that's been taken in.
20:26 And the rest of your assets they've been to
20:27 and I alone have been alone to take you
20:29 and maybe Joe can stand up under this.
20:33 But man, I mean, I think all the parents identified with this.
20:35 Listen, this is like, yo, listen, I was there, man.
20:37 When your kids I don't know if they say because I was eating
20:41 and drinking like they always do.
20:45 And a great windstorm came and knocked down the pillars
20:47 and it collapsed on all of the children.
20:50 And I alone have escaped to tell you
20:54 and friends of mine, I'm going lie.
20:56 Listen, the best part of the story
20:59 is just really jobs response
21:02 for the Bible says
21:07 that when all his stuff is taken away
21:10 and his income is stripped away from it,
21:14 and his stature as the greatest of the all the people in
21:16 the East is taken away, even when his offspring
21:21 are snatched and the twinkling of an eye.
21:25 The Bible doesn't say that.
21:27 John stood on the hill, shaking his fist
21:31 with a mouthful of curses toward the most high.
21:35 But the Bible says in Greek that Joe shaved his hair,
21:39 that he tore his robe, and the Bible
21:43 says that Joe falls on his face
21:49 and he worships
21:52 he gives God a crazy praise because the praise
21:57 is not congruent with his circumstance.
22:01 And I don't know if somebody has missed it yet.
22:04 The Bible says he believes so much
22:06 in God that when they took his stuff
22:10 and they took his name and they took his statue
22:14 and they took his kids, the Bible says that he fell
22:19 on his face and said, the Lord gives
22:23 and the Lord takes away, but I'm still going.
22:27 Bless the name of the Lord,
22:32 he says, even in my despair,
22:35 the Lord is worthy.
22:38 I said, The Lord is worthy.
22:41 When you are certain that the Lord is worthy, he says,
22:45 the Lord is still worthy to be praise.
22:51 John says,
22:53 from the rising of the sun to the going down of the say
22:57 that the name of the Lord is to be praised.
23:01 And it shows us something because we say
23:05 worship is a response, worship and a response.
23:10 Worship ought to be a reflex.
23:14 See, see.
23:15 Worship is not a response to good music,
23:19 because if the music ain't good, then I don't respond.
23:22 Worship isn't a response to God's circumstance,
23:26 because if the circumstance ain't good, I don't respond.
23:29 But when worship is a reflex,
23:31 the Bible says that John praise God regularly.
23:35 He sacrifice regularly,
23:38 that he trained himself in worship,
23:41 that he trained himself in praise,
23:44 that he trained himself in adoration,
23:47 so that when hardship came, oh, that happened.
23:51 Is that his training kicked in
23:54 like a reflex.
23:56 It was his default setting.
23:58 And I need to know, do I have some folks
24:01 that make it up for you? Oh, my God.
24:03 That worship is going to be your reflex.
24:06 You don't praise them in the morning.
24:08 You don't praise them at the nighttime.
24:11 You don't praise them when you got money
24:13 and you go praise them when you got.
24:15 No, you don't praise them when they talk.
24:17 Well, how can you praise them when they talk bad?
24:21 Can you praise them when you got a job?
24:23 Can you praise them when you get unemployed?
24:26 Can you praise them in good health?
24:28 Will you praise them on your sickbed?
24:30 Because when you praise them like that, rush hour becomes
24:34 a reflex and your training kicks in whenever distress shows up.
24:40 And I just need to know, do I have some last day saints
24:44 that, like David will say, I will bless the Lord
24:48 at all times
24:50 and his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
24:54 My son will make His boss and the Lord
24:59 the humble John here thereof, and be glad.
25:03 Oh, good university. Church.
25:06 Will you magnify the Lord with me
25:12 and let us exalt His name together?
25:17 Do I have some that will rejoice in the Lord
25:19 always and again I say rejoice.
25:24 I said, He is a worthy God.
25:27 No, no, he's a worthy God.
25:30 He is a faithful God.
25:32 He provides, he protects,
25:36 but I praise him because he retains.
25:39 If you keep letting losing happen to you,
25:42 if you keep letting people do, he wouldn't
25:43 treat you any kind of way.
25:44 It's going to become our culture winners.
25:46 Winners and losers lose the Vision and Dream Dreams
25:49 conference has been a true blessing.
25:50 My breakout sessions for amazing
25:54 practical ways for entrepreneurs
25:55 to start their business, all of the guest speakers,
25:57 I mean, it's quite amazing calling of Dreamers,

26:26 I'm going to exhort you and teach you in the world
26:29 on how to crystallize and walk in the visions God gives you.
26:32 And then that afternoon,
26:33 we're going to hear
26:34 from the leadership voice of this generation, Dr.
26:37 John Maxwell.
26:38 And then we're going to close out the day
26:40 with the anointed one God's woman, Miss Tabitha Brown.
26:45 And when we come together that Sunday,
26:47 you're going to attend a number of breakout sessions
26:50 that are going to build, instruct and encourage you
26:53 and how to make those visions a reality.
26:56 And then we're going to conclude with our second annual vision
