00:28 Worship bells are sweet
00:30 Calling us to meet
00:32 With our best friend Jesus
00:35 Hello and welcome to our Tiny Tot Worship.
00:38 We're so happy that you've joined us.
00:40 And do you know what?
00:42 Jesus is happy that you've joined us too.
00:44 It makes Jesus so happy when we spend time with Him.
00:49 Today, we are talking about one of my favorite subjects.
00:55 Sabbath is a special day.
00:58 You know, we have a special guest
01:01 that's gonna tell us a special story,
01:04 Mrs. Shelley Quinn.
01:06 Welcome Miss Shelley. Thank you.
01:09 It's so much fun to be here with you.
01:11 We're gonna be talking about my favorite day of the week,
01:14 the Sabbath.
01:15 Anybody else, it's that your favorite?
01:17 Mine. Mine.
01:19 That's mine. Good, okay.
01:21 And you know, let's just start with a prayer.
01:25 It's always good to talk to Jesus.
01:28 Nicole, would you have a prayer for us?
01:30 Boys and girls, bow your head
01:32 and close your eyes.
01:36 Dear Jesus, thank you, be with us,
01:39 we can be here to talk to You, in Jesus' name, amen.
01:43 Amen. Amen.
01:45 Thank you.
01:46 Something else we like to do here
01:48 on Tiny Tots is we like to learn memory verses.
01:51 And today...
01:53 Oh, I love this memory verse.
01:56 It's found in Exodus 20:8.
02:00 Now before we say
02:01 the memory verse, boys and girls,
02:03 what is special about Exodus 20?
02:07 What, Ben? It has the Ten Commandments.
02:10 It does.
02:12 And Exodus in 20:8,
02:15 which one of the Ten Commandments
02:16 is verse 8?
02:18 Remember the Sabbath to keep it holy.
02:20 Very good, Luke. The Fourth Commandment.
02:23 Boys and girls, do you know
02:25 that that is the only commandment
02:29 that God said remember.
02:33 Now, why do you think God did that?
02:36 Because He wants us to remember it.
02:38 Yes, He does.
02:40 As when mommy and daddy tell you
02:41 to remember something
02:43 because usually we forget and God didn't want us
02:45 to forget that special day He made for us.
02:49 That's exactly right, Miss Shelley.
02:51 Now this is a very long memory verse.
02:54 But, boys and girls,
02:55 try and learn it as we are saying it, okay?
02:58 Okay, are you ready, boys and girls?
02:59 Yes.
03:00 "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.
03:05 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work.
03:09 But the seventh day is the Sabbath
03:12 of the Lord thy God:
03:15 in it thou shalt not do any work,
03:18 thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter,
03:22 nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant,
03:26 nor thy cattle,
03:28 nor thy stranger that is within thy gates.
03:31 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth
03:37 and the sea and all that in them is,
03:41 and rested the Seventh-day:
03:44 wherefore the Lord blessed
03:47 the Sabbath day, and hallowed it."
03:51 Very good. They did better than me.
03:56 Miss Shelley, we have a special for you.
04:00 Wonderful.
04:02 Luke and Jasmine are twins
04:05 and they are learning to play
04:07 the violin together.
04:08 So you can go get set up
04:11 and they are going to play us a special song.
04:15 I love the violin.
04:17 And I love the fact that brother and sister
04:19 are going to be playing together.
04:22 Me too.
06:10 Oh, yeah, I loved it, yes. Oh, beautiful!
06:13 That was awesome. Well, come sit down.
06:16 Miss Shelley has got a story for us.
06:19 Yes, I do, and I'm excited to share it.
06:22 You know, the story I'm going to tell you today
06:25 is about a boy named Billy.
06:30 And you know what? Let me tell you about Billy.
06:32 He was six years old, and his mommy and his daddy,
06:34 they worked...
06:36 Both worked outside the house all the time.
06:39 And they were loving parents,
06:41 but Billy felt like he didn't get
06:43 to spend much time with mommy and daddy.
06:45 Well, one day, he got invited,
06:48 the whole family to go on a trip and see his aunt.
06:51 And you know what happened?
06:53 His aunt and his uncle had gotten married,
06:56 and they changed churches and they got,
06:58 went off to be missionaries for a year.
07:00 So he hadn't seen them for a whole year.
07:03 They got to his house, and he got to see his cousins.
07:06 Adam was nine, and Sarah was six.
07:10 Do you have cousins? Mm-hmm.
07:11 Yeah, isn't it fun when you get to go visit?
07:14 So what did they do?
07:18 Adam was helping him unpack, and he said,
07:20 "We got to get all your stuff put up fast,
07:23 so that we can get ready for the Sabbath."
07:26 And Billy said, "What's a Sabbath?"
07:29 And Adam said, "You don't know about the Sabbath?"
07:31 He said, "The Sabbath is a special day
07:35 that God created for us.
07:37 Every week, it's a day
07:38 that we get to spend all day with Him,
07:41 and all day with our family and our loved ones."
07:45 Isn't that your favorite part of the Sabbath
07:48 is that you get to be with your loved ones.
07:51 Anyway, that night, they went out
07:54 and they picked some wild flowers,
07:57 and they put them on the table.
07:59 And that night at dinner, everybody lit a candle,
08:02 and they had a beautiful supper.
08:05 Do you like special foods for Sabbath evening?
08:09 Yeah. And then guess what happened?
08:12 His aunt had a bowl of candy, and when she passed it around,
08:16 every little piece of candy
08:17 had a Bible promise wrapped around it.
08:19 Oh, that's special.
08:21 And he said, "Why did your mommy do this?"
08:24 He asked Sarah. And you know what Sarah said?
08:27 She said, "The Bible says,
08:28 'Taste and see that the Lord is good.'"
08:32 And that Bible promise, she said,
08:34 "Now we recite it every night for this week,
08:38 and then we'll say it again next Sabbath."
08:41 Well, you know what?
08:42 They had so much fun that night,
08:45 they had Bible stories,
08:47 and they just had a wonderful time
08:49 sitting around and talking.
08:51 And when his aunt put him to bed that night,
08:55 you know what Billy told her?
08:56 He said, "I enjoyed the Sabbath.
08:58 I'm sorry it's over so soon." And she said, "No, it's not!
09:02 We get to have a lot more Sabbath tomorrow."
09:05 So they got up in the morning, and after breakfast,
09:08 where do you think they went?
09:09 Where'd they go, Nicole? Church.
09:11 They went to church, they went to Sabbath School,
09:15 and he got to listen to more stories about Jesus.
09:18 Guess what they did after church?
09:22 They went on a picnic. They did go on a picnic.
09:25 You must go on picnics. So you've done that.
09:27 Have you done that before that, huh?
09:29 They went on a picnic,
09:31 and then they went on a nature walk.
09:34 Have you been on a nature walk?
09:35 Yup. Yeah.
09:36 What do you like about a nature walk?
09:39 You can see all kinds of animals and plants.
09:42 You see the animals and the plants,
09:44 and guess what they did?
09:46 They cut some more wild flowers,
09:47 and they brought them home.
09:49 And that night, they used them to make cards.
09:52 It was such a special, special day.
09:55 And when Billy went to sleep, he said,
09:59 "Oh, dear Jesus, please let my mommy and daddy
10:01 start keeping the Sabbath."
10:03 And guess what happened?
10:05 They did start keeping the Sabbath,
10:07 and he was so happy about that 'cause it's a special day.
10:13 Oh, thank you, Miss Shelley. It is a special day, isn't it?
10:17 Yeah.
10:19 Do you know, we have another surprise for you
10:23 because I was talking about the Sabbath,
10:26 and Ben just went to the piano and started teaching a song...
10:32 He learned, teaching himself a song that I was singing.
10:35 What song was Miss Cinda singing?
10:37 "Sabbath..."
10:39 Yeah, "Sabbath is a happy day." Could you play it for us?
10:41 Uh-huh. So Ben plays by ear?
10:43 I'm impressed. Ben plays by ear.
10:45 Wow.
10:46 I was singing it
10:48 while we were talking about the program, and...
10:50 That's a special gift from God.
10:52 Okay.
11:07 Sing it.
11:09 Should we sing it with them?
11:10 Sabbath is a happy day
11:13 Happy day, happy day
11:17 Sabbath is a happy day
11:21 I love every Sabbath
11:26 Ben, that is beautiful. That's special.
11:29 I can't believe you just taught yourself
11:32 just listening to Miss Cinda sing.
11:35 That is amazing.
11:37 Do you know that Jesus gave you that gift?
11:39 Amen. Yeah.
11:40 And Jesus gave you the gift of music, too.
11:43 Jesus loves music, doesn't He? Mm-hmm.
11:46 What do you guys like about the Sabbath?
11:49 What?
11:50 It's that you could worship Jesus and have fun.
11:52 That's right.
11:53 Who can tell me when Sabbath begins?
11:56 Friday night.
11:58 Friday night at...
11:59 When? When the sun goes down.
12:02 When the sun goes down.
12:04 And Sabbath goes from when the sun goes down
12:07 on Friday night till when?
12:09 When does Sabbath end?
12:11 When the sun goes down on Saturday night.
12:12 When the sun goes down on Saturday.
12:15 That's right.
12:16 So sun down...
12:17 It's from sundown on Friday night
12:20 to sundown on Saturday night, isn't it?
12:23 And you know what so neat
12:24 is because not only do we get to go to church
12:26 and have fun, but mommies and daddies
12:28 don't have to work so hard,
12:29 and they can spend all that time with you.
12:32 That makes it special, doesn't it?
12:34 It does.
12:36 You know, let's sing our prayer song
12:38 and have us have a prayer.
12:40 And, Ben, could you have our prayer for us today?
12:44 Yup. Okay.
12:46 I will bend my knees
12:50 I will fold my hands
12:54 I will bow my head
12:58 I will close my eyes
13:02 And very, very quiet be
13:07 While the prayer is said
13:12 Dear Jesus, thank you that we all got together.
13:16 Thank you for another day of life.
13:19 Amen. Amen.
13:23 And you know...
13:25 that's Mr. Rooster. Already?
13:26 He says that's all the time we have for now.
13:29 So until next time, remember, boys and girls,
13:33 that Jesus loves you.
13:44 Worship bells are sweet
