00:01 Okay, the first thing I do when I'm getting ready
00:03 to decorate my table is I decide the color scheme 00:08 that I wanna use. 00:09 And then I decide like a theme, 00:12 I always work with the theme 00:14 and I love nature and I absolutely love angels. 00:19 Not so fond of cherubs but I love angels, 00:22 I collect them and so this year, 00:25 I decided to do a burgundy theme 00:28 and burgundy, cream and gold. 00:31 And so I started with the table and I did a... 00:36 This is a cream colored table with table cloth underneath 00:41 with burgundy in it 00:43 and then I put a burgundy square topper on it, 00:45 so that I could have the angles 00:48 and then I decided on a more elegant runner. 00:51 And so this is my runner and I dearly love these, 00:56 so, sis, if you guys, if you'll take this 00:59 and Linda's husband actually came in our woods, 01:05 we have quite a bit of acreage, 01:07 I actually live in a farm 01:09 and we do have a lot of acreage. 01:11 And Linda's husband came and cut down some cedar trees 01:15 in different links for me. 01:16 So put this in... 01:19 And I'm gonna do a buffet table today 01:21 but you could put this closer together 01:24 and if you wanted to do it for... 01:26 Just a family table. 01:27 Just for a sit down family table. 01:29 So let's do it in three places, 01:32 okay, does that look about even? 01:34 Okay, let's do it right in the middle. 01:37 Does that look right even? 01:39 May be that needs to go in there. 01:40 Okay, then let's do that. 01:42 And then let's each take a wreath, now on the wreaths, 01:47 I have these little lights, these are battery lights... 01:52 They're the coolest things. 01:53 They're very inexpensive, so I'm gonna turn them on, 01:56 I wrapped them around and I'm gonna stick that 02:00 over each of the cut out pieces of wood 02:06 that your husband did. 02:07 That's pretty. It's beautiful. 02:09 And then you just hid that battery pack in that there? 02:11 And I hid the battery pack, so this will burn 02:14 for quite a while, there we go. 02:17 Well, it doesn't burn, it just stays lit, right? 02:19 Yeah, I'm sorry, you're right. 02:21 It just stays lit. 02:23 The battery will last quite a long 02:25 and so I'm gonna turn this one on, 02:27 let's move this over a little bit more. 02:31 And depending on the size of your table, 02:34 you could just do two if you wanted 02:36 or you could do the three, which I have room for three. 02:40 Then I decided I wanted to add some silver to it, 02:44 so I'm gonna put some silver candle sticks 02:48 in the middle and use this... 02:52 Whatever you have. 02:55 There's something special about candle sticks for holiday times 02:57 anyway, it just seems festive. 02:59 If you guys want to tweak the lights for me 03:01 while I'm adding this other stuff. 03:03 Okay. 03:04 I also... 03:07 Since I do live on a farm, I love trees. 03:11 My husband, whenever I hear his chainsaw start up, 03:16 it's a joke because they go, "You wanna get Cinda 03:18 of out of the house fast, startup your chainsaw," 03:22 'cause I run out of the house, 03:24 I go, "Joe, Joe, what are you cutting down? 03:26 No." 03:27 And he'll go, "Honey, this is dead, 03:29 it's gonna fall on our house." 03:31 "Okay, and, Joe, at least do something." 03:34 So I really... 03:35 The ultimate tree hugger right here. 03:37 Yeah, I am the tree hug, I love trees. 03:39 Now I don't know if you can see that, oh, yeah, you can. 03:42 Oh, yeah. 03:44 I actually got this, I found it really... 03:46 You wanna put that one on that end 03:48 and then let's put two more, turn them on. 03:52 Okay. 03:53 And I'm gonna put two more on here. 03:56 Anybody want these? 03:57 Actually I'm gonna put, let's put two in the middle. 04:04 Okay. 04:05 Well, actually let's just put the tall one in the middle, 04:07 let's put one over here, put one over there. 04:11 We can do two here carefully. 04:15 Which one's taller? 04:16 That off now. Go ahead and turn it on. 04:23 No, it's on, it's just dimmer than the others. 04:25 Okay, I love angels, so we're gonna use, 04:29 I found this at a really cool bargain store in Knoxville. 04:34 And so that's why I'm using these angels and just, kind of, 04:38 position the angel, put that in the middle. 04:42 Then I found some little angels that are like it, 04:45 just like it and so I'm gonna put an angel here 04:50 and I'm gonna put an angel here, let's see, you want... 04:54 It reminds to me the song, "Angels watching over me." 04:57 Yeah. 04:58 Yeah. 05:00 And you really want to try and work in, 05:05 I have a little uneven number, so you don't want everything 05:10 to be exactly the same, 05:12 you want a little bit off there. 05:18 Let's see, where should we put the third angel? 05:22 You want three in the middle. 05:24 Let's put three in the middle 05:26 and let's back this one up a little bit. 05:29 Now I wanted to give it a little bit of texture, 05:33 so just something different and so I'm gonna add 05:39 these trees to bit. 05:41 And if you guys wanna just, kind of, position this, 05:47 so that'll go behind. 05:48 No, I have a bigger one for there. 05:50 Okay, well, there we go. 05:53 Here we go, how about this? 05:58 There you go. 05:59 Oh, that's a big one. 06:00 And here's another big one if that works. 06:04 Okay. This one... 06:05 And then, Brend and mom and I were shopping 06:09 and we decided to, you know, we wanna add... 06:12 Little sparkle, what was that. 06:13 Just a little sparkle 06:14 and so we got some little sparkle garland, 06:19 look how pretty that is. 06:21 Now if you can't find this stuff, 06:24 you can get at dollar stores, they're very inexpensive. 06:28 It's... 06:30 But you got to be careful, 06:32 you almost have to decorate yourself 06:34 because this... 06:37 You get tangled up. 06:38 It gets real tangled up, so you just, kind of, you know, 06:41 wear it a little bit. 06:44 Well, gets you in the holiday spirit, sis. 06:47 Another truth. 06:49 But you see, how you just, kind of, look and see, 06:53 what do you think would add a little bit, 06:55 so you wanna tweak 06:57 the branches of your wreath too, 07:00 so that it looks nice and I'm just, kind of, 07:03 going in and out and just kind of, 07:05 land it nice so that it... 07:07 Just look at it, just gives a little bit extra sparkle 07:12 and you see how... 07:14 You can see this one next to this. 07:17 It made a huge, it made a pop. 07:19 It just kind of, it makes a big difference, doesn't it? 07:20 It made a pop. It does. 07:22 So I'm going to go ahead and put this. 07:26 And I think it also, it picks up the lights on that 07:29 that you put out there 07:30 and makes it sparkle little more, 07:32 the lights blinks in the afternoon. 07:33 And just makes it sparkle a little more. 07:34 Here, sis, I'm gonna hand this to you and go around. 07:39 And, Linda, I should have one more laying somewhere. 07:43 Here it is. There you go, awesome. 07:47 Do you see what we mean? 07:48 This is just getting really tangly 07:50 but it's so pretty. 07:54 Just adds a little bit of sparkle, 07:56 I think I got there. 07:57 Give me the end. And you want it... 08:01 Don't lay it evenly in your wreath, 08:03 you just wanna lay it there. 08:04 Yeah, just kind of just... 08:06 You just and you can even tuck it 08:10 under some branches 08:11 because you don't want it to look like 08:14 you just flopped it there. 08:17 So put this one around the back? 08:20 Sure or you could, yes, there you go. 08:28 What do you think? 08:30 I think it's gorgeous. Yeah, that's good. 08:32 And you could also add, if you want it, 08:37 I have some big pine cones that you can add 08:42 and you can add some little balls you can... 08:45 Oh, you know what I do have? 08:47 I have some gold... 08:49 Can you... 08:50 Just off the set, there's some gold pine cones. 08:52 Okay. 08:54 Just to give us a little sparkle. 08:55 And I love candles but I also love safety 09:02 and so since this is a buffet, 09:04 we're not gonna be monitoring the candles 09:09 with people leaning over... 09:10 Oh, isn't that beautiful? And so we'll do that. 09:12 Okay, sisters and mom, you want to just lay this... 09:16 It's over here. In among the garlands. 09:19 See, look, I'm just laying them here 09:23 and you wanna lay them in different directions. 09:25 So you don't want everything to go uniform, you know, 09:30 like you're out in nature, you don't see pine cones 09:34 lying all the same way, so tilt them this way, that way 09:39 and look how that just kind of makes it go, 09:44 pop, just adds what you need. 09:49 And since it's buffet, 09:51 we're doing the back too, okay? 09:57 And if you want, you could lot of times, 10:00 I'll go outside 'cause I have a holly bush, 10:03 I will cut pieces off of my bushes and tress 10:09 and I'll add that. 10:12 You know, if you wanna add some berries and, you know, 10:18 like I have some magnolia leaves 10:20 which are actually very beautiful with this. 10:24 And look at the half here. 10:26 And we have, look we have our take home gifts right here. 10:32 Not our take home gifts 10:33 but our gifts that we made to pass out, 10:38 speaking of take home gifts which I have, 10:42 I have a take home gift for each of my sisters 10:47 and our mother. 10:48 Oh, thank you. 10:50 And I wanted to show you 10:51 a take home gift is always such a... 10:52 Thanks, sis. Thank you. 10:54 Nice touch for when people come over 10:58 and it doesn't have to be expensive. 11:01 I wanted to show you what is inside the bag. 11:02 We'll take this one down for it now. 11:04 Sure. 11:06 You can take this one down too so that, 11:09 just so that you guys can see. 11:12 I want to show you what's in this bag 11:14 and it's very simple, 11:16 you can go to a dollar store and get a little candle holder, 11:18 this is a little crystal star... 11:20 Just like a star. 11:21 It's not crystal, it's glass but... 11:23 And then I just got a little angel ornament 11:26 and I sit it right there and they've got a candle 11:30 and they've got an ornament or they can leave it like this. 11:33 And that's a take home gift that people can use 11:35 and that they're gonna want. 11:37 And so I love useful take home gifts. 11:40 Yes. And it's... 11:42 Well, sis, I think this is absolutely gorgeous 11:45 and what a wonderful idea, 11:46 hope she's giving you some ideas of things 11:49 that you can do for your holiday table 11:51 and don't forget to invite your friends 11:54 and your loved ones and your neighbors 11:55 and may be even strangers that you have, you know, 11:58 that really get to know you yet, 11:59 somebody in church that seems rather lonely, 12:01 bring them over and really share God's love with them. 12:04 That's right. 12:05 That's what each of us got from you and daddy, mom. 12:08 You always invited people into our home 12:12 and you've always made them feel a part 12:14 and welcome and included them 12:18 and that's what we all try to do, I know all of us, 12:21 even Jimmy and Kenny, our brothers, 12:24 invite people into their homes... 12:25 They do. 12:26 And just include them into your holiday celebration. 12:30 So, mom, we just wanna say, thank you so much 12:32 for joining us. 12:34 We wish daddy could be here too, 12:35 may be next time we can get daddy here, 12:36 it would be wonderful 12:38 but we're thrilled you're here... 12:39 That's right. 12:40 And really it's a special holiday 12:42 when our family is together, 12:44 the family is really why holiday is all about, 12:46 isn't it? 12:47 So, mom, I just thought it would be really special 12:51 if you could just have a prayer to ask God 12:55 to bless the families around the world 12:57 not just during this holiday season... 13:00 Right. But everyday of the year... 13:02 Yes. 13:03 And that hearts will be drawn closer to Jesus, 13:05 shall we just bow our heads? 13:06 Precious Heavenly Father, we will call upon you, 13:10 we wanna thank you for your love, 13:12 we wanna thank you for the great gift 13:14 that you've given us of your life 13:16 and the privilege that we have to belong to you. 13:19 We pray, Heavenly Father, a blessing to every family 13:22 that's watching here today, we want you to bless them, 13:28 draw them ever so close to you... 13:30 Amen. Amen. 13:31 Amen. 13:33 Give them good health and joy and help them, Father, 13:35 to stay close to you, 13:38 to not go the way of the world. 13:42 I pray, Heavenly Father, that some day soon 13:45 we can have a home in heaven with you 13:47 when you come... 13:48 Yes. 13:50 That we will all be ready to meet you in the end... 13:51 Amen. Amen. 13:52 And we give you all the glory and we just thank you... 13:56 Restoring the praise and the honor. 13:58 Yes, Lord. 13:59 Thank you. In Jesus name. Amen. 14:04 You know, mom, you know, I just wanna tell you and personally, 14:07 I and my sisters, we join together in telling you, 14:10 thank you for always having Jesus in our home. 14:13 Yes. 14:15 And the importance 14:16 and teaching us the importance of sharing Him with others. 14:18 And invite people into our home. 14:20 That's right. 14:21 Especially, at the holiday season 14:22 because so many are heartbroken, lonely 14:26 because they have no one to share the holidays with 14:29 and by sharing your home, you're sharing Jesus. 14:32 That's right. That's right. 14:34 So we hope we've given you some ideas this holiday season 14:37 of things that you can do and you can ask God 14:40 to give you ideas of things, 14:41 the other things that you can do. 14:42 You know, if you say, "Well, baking isn't my specialty." 14:45 Then guess what? You don't have to bake. 14:47 Go to a bakery, go to your grocery store... 14:48 That's right. 14:50 And then you can give those, if you say, 14:51 "I don't have the means to do that." 14:53 So I think that the most important thing 14:56 is that we give gifts of love and from the heart. 14:59 That's right. 15:00 And if you don't have the means, 15:02 invite someone into your home 15:03 and just you can read the Bible together, 15:05 you can sing Christmas songs together. 15:07 That's right. 15:09 You can holiday songs 15:10 and you can share the season in sharing Jesus. 15:13 And let them know, that you care. 15:16 And one thing that we always try to remember is that 15:20 Jesus is the reason for the season. 15:24 Every season of our life, all day along... 15:27 Everyday. Everyday. 15:29 That's true. 15:30 It's Jesus, is the reason for living and... 15:32 That's right and we'd like to encourage you to make Jesus 15:35 your best friend. 15:36 Amen. 15:37 And renew your commitment to Him, today. 15:39 Well, unfortunately our time is all gone 15:42 and we just wanna say, 15:44 may all your holidays be seasoned with God's love. 15:50 Bye bye, everybody.
