When we talk 06:35 about religion in action it actually is just what James 1:27 06:41 says. You want to know what true religion is, it's really taking 06:46 care of others especially those who are underprivileged in this 06:50 world and that's what the combination of the love of God 06:55 is no matter where you are we can demonstrate God's love by 07:01 looking out for the needy, the homeless and the helpless. 07:05 Mm-hmm. They will see the good works that are 07:19 being done and they will glorify God and be drawn to God as we 07:25 see people that love the Lord sharing the love of the Lord 07:28 with other people. Especially children that are in great need 07:33 Most of the children we know are depending on older people adults 07:40 to take care of them. Unfortunately some children 07:42 don't have a mother, don't have a father and this is why this 07:46 ministry is vital. We want to invite you to tune in an listen 07:50 and hear and try to enter into the experience of the things 07:56 you're going to hear. Yes? 07:59 Well I was looking for Bible texts that may mention orphans 08:06 and the needy and it's very important in the Bible and we 08:11 see different Bible texts Valarie and Jerry about the 08:17 orphans and the widow and the needy. But in Ministries to the 08:20 Cities the book by Ellen G. White I found various paragraphs 08:27 that speak about this. This is what I found. "Then there are 08:32 the multitudes of children who have been wholly deprived of 08:34 the guidance of parents and the subduing influence of a 08:39 Christian home. Let Christians open they hearts and homes to 08:44 these helpless ones. The work that God has committed to them 08:48 as an individual duty should not be turned over to some 08:53 benevolent institution or left to the chances of the world's 08:57 charity. If the children have no relatives able to give them care 09:01 let the members of the church provide homes for them." So this 09:07 is where I gravitate towards that area. Let the church 09:11 provide homes for them. And that is what you guys are doing. 09:16 Falco's Children Village is an orphanage in Tanzania that is 09:22 providing that nurturing, that guidance that these children 09:28 need. Now what kind of children are in your ministry at Falco's 09:34 Children Village I don't know. We haven't gotten into that 09:38 topic yet but He has birthed in your hearts to dedicate your 09:43 lives to nurturing these children and under the 09:46 admonition of the Holy Spirit to learn of Jesus and offer them 09:51 the opportunity of accepting forgiveness, salvation and 09:57 eternal life in Jesus Christ. So thank you. 10:00 Amen. And that is so important for them at this young age that 10:06 we do accept them and it's warm and welcoming for them and they 10:09 gravitate to that readily. 10:11 Amen, amen. He was here on planet 15:34 earth and He was ministering to all the people's needs. There 15:39 were none He would shun away. Right. How do you get 16:40 the children to your ministry and God bless your ministry and 16:43 God bless you for what you're doing. 16:48 Well, thank you again. We work with social welfare. So social 16:51 welfare calls us any time there's a need. And we currently 16:54 have 90 children and we have them as young as four months old 16:57 all the way up. 17:02 We have them from birth all the way up because our last 17:06 baby we received was placed at the doorstep of a stranger and 17:12 he was (skip) so we do have from birth all the way to 18, 19, 20. 17:19 But once you have these children say they're newborns you need 17:26 medical care for them to make sure they're healthy or if they 17:29 need help. Where does that help come from? How does that work? 17:33 Well once we receive a child whether they're newborns or a 17:40 little older we do have an association with one of the 17:44 clinics that are close by. It's called FAMC which is Foundation 17:50 for African Medical Center here in Karatu. We take the children 17:55 in for an initial evaluation so we can identify what the medical 18:00 needs are so that can be addressed immediately before 18:03 coming to the village. Once that has been established we 18:07 continue that relationship with the clinic for child wellness 18:11 checkups, child health care. If anyone gets sick at the village 18:15 then they are taken to the clinic again or hospital, 18:19 whatever the needs are. And we do have such a very close 18:22 relationship. We can just pick up the phone and call and speak 18:25 to a physician and bring the children or a child in. 18:29 Tell us about the location of the children's' village. Where is 18:35 it located and what the village is like? 18:40 We're about 45 minutes from the closest village, Karatu, 18:47 Tanzania and it's a pretty rough road getting there so we're out 18:50 actually in the middle of almost what you'd consider nowhere. But 18:54 we have 70 acres of land. The Lord gave us 70 acres of land 18:57 for free. We have sheep and goats, cattle, bulls and 19:04 almost everything (skips). We have our own greenhouse. We 19:07 raise vegetables here. The children help us with 19:13 everything. 19:15 Wonderful. So you grow some of your own food. This is a 19:18 wonderful thing. It seems like it's a wonderful atmosphere for 19:22 children to be in. And this is something that we all need. And 19:27 these children are having that blessing of this wonderful 19:32 atmosphere but also keep them a little busy. Huh? (Chuckles) 19:37 Yes. We don't have an idle moment because every part of a 19:43 child's upbringing is really designed to help them to become 19:47 more self-sufficient and as they get older and able to understand the 19:54 vital need to survive on their own. The cleanliness and how to 19:57 raise vegetables, how to raise livestock, even some small 20:02 vocations that will help them as they get older to go on to their 20:06 independence when they leave the village. 20:08 That's right. Well I know that you jumped to the question about 20:14 the actual campus but I wanted to ask another question about 20:20 the medical needs. How extensive are the needs of the children? 20:26 Well we have children that may be as sick as HIV-positive. We 20:34 have children that are newborns. One of our newest challenges 20:40 the baby was born prematurely at 28 weeks and unfortunately his 20:47 Mom died right after the delivery and he is now unable to see. 20:54 He's vision impaired because of retinal detachment. We have 20:58 children that may have other sometimes emotional needs 21:03 because of their background and where they're coming from. And 21:07 we do have our support of the welfare services that help us to 21:12 connect with the extended services on the outside to bring 21:15 them in so that we can make sure that every aspect of the child's 21:20 needs are met. If a child, for example because of my background 21:25 I'm a nurse practitioner for about 30 years now so when I 21:32 identify a child who has a need I will provide that emergency 21:36 first aid needed and if they need to go on to further 21:39 treatment then we can refer them But thank God so far they have 21:43 not had extensive needs but our focus right now is the young 21:50 baby that has a vision impairment and we will be traveling at some 21:53 point to find some extra medical attention for his needs. But all 21:58 in all, we have a strong connection with the FAMC 22:05 Hospital and so our babies go every month even for just 22:08 to check their weight and to make sure they're okay. 22:12 Wow! Wonderful, wonderful. Well I know that you're nurturing 22:16 these babies and how long do you keep them there. But you have a 22:20 program for all ages. So we already saw the field of the campus of 22:26 70 acres the Lord gave you if you will be fruitful and 22:32 multiply, right? 22:33 That field... We have lots of room for them to run and play 22:42 and be normal children and physical capacity. 22:48 We have enough room... We have a portion of the land 22:52 we call Shumba and Shumba in Swahili 22:55 means farm. And so we have a farmland and a greenhouse and 23:00 the children learn (steps) how to farm. They learn how to plant 23:05 the seed and watch it grow and then how to harvest and they're 23:09 also involved in preparing the foods for the meal. They're 23:13 involved in different aspects (skips) We have lots of flowers 23:17 everywhere. That is just to represent the beauty of each 23:21 child and each flower. So we want them to have a beautiful 23:25 environment. But they're also responsible for maintaining that 23:29 environment as well. 23:30 This is wonderful because there's something special about 23:35 preparing the soil, putting the seeds in the soil and then 23:40 starting to see the first bud and then eventually you know you 23:44 get excited. You start watering because you eventually want to 23:47 see fruits and vegetables come out. So this is all very, very 23:52 interesting and exciting for children as well as adults 23:55 because I also enjoy you know doing a little gardening. But 23:58 tell us about school, education is important in a child's life 24:04 as well. How are you preparing them and where do they go to 24:07 school? 24:10 Well we built a secondary school before the village. When they 24:17 gave us the land they had started building a secondary 24:20 school on the land but they only had money to build two 24:23 classrooms. So we built the entire secondary school. So they 24:26 have eight classrooms and eight toilets for the girls, eight 24:29 toilets for the boys, administration building so all 24:32 of the children that are ready for the secondary school is going 24:35 to start attending or have started attending the secondary 24:39 school we built. The other children, the younger children, 24:42 go to a primary school and they all walk to school. It's 24:44 approximately two to two and a half miles that they walk to 24:48 school every morning. They get up around 5:30 in the morning, 24:52 have breakfast at six. They're walking to school at 6:30 every 24:56 morning. 24:58 Well, bless their little hearts. 24:59 And they walk back. So they're quite active. They walk a lot. 25:05 Bless their little hearts. Children. Well you talk about 25:11 children in the U.S. are either driven to school or the school's 25:14 very close. They don't have to walk that far. 25:19 Unclear. Glad we don't have a bus and they have to get there 25:23 on time. 25:24 That's right. That's right. Well I think that walking that mile 25:29 will surely have the children bright and awakened by the time 25:33 they get to the classroom. And they have all the other needs 25:37 so it's okay. You know I was wondering if they do attend school 25:44 two miles away and also you have the secondary class or the 25:48 school on your campus. Now I'm thinking you have 92 children or 25:54 sometimes more. I don't know what your capacity is. How do 25:58 you take care of all these children. I mean, it's only two 26:01 of you but who else? 26:06 We have 37 full-time Tanzanian helpers helping us. We have 26:10 about 20 mamas. The mama's work two weeks on and two weeks off. 26:14 You know we have nine homes. Show the picture of the nine 26:19 homes. 26:20 Each one of the homes have (skips) groups and we have mamas 26:25 in each one of the different homes. We've been known as the 26:28 number one orphanage in the country in Tanzania a number 26:32 of times. We've had a number of people come because we have 26:36 family-style cities for each one of the homes, each one of the 26:40 children. So the children really feel like they're home when 26:42 they're here with us. 26:45 That is wonderful, that is wonderful. That home atmosphere 26:48 That's a wonderful thing because (security) security. A sense of 26:54 Yes, a sense of belonging (sense of family) and you have your 26:57 routine you know that the children can have and get 27:01 accustomed to. Now we talked about them having to walk to 27:06 school for the primary school students, but you have the 27:10 secondary school. And we talked a little bit about the farm that 27:14 you have and how you teach them how they work the field with you 27:19 guys. What vocational training do you have available for the 27:23 children? 27:27 Well at the current time most of our children, especially the 27:32 older ones that are in their form school. Form school is 27:36 equivalent to high school in America. So those form school 27:42 students they go to another school outside of the campus 27:47 around Tanzania. These schools are assigned by the government 27:51 for the children to go to. So we have at least five different 27:55 form schools where the children that are old enough to go are 28:00 currently attending. They come home twice a year. And when they 28:07 do come home we have them readily engaged in the farming 28:10 Most of our children, because the orphanage is only nine years 28:15 old we've gotten these children young so the vocational schools 28:20 that are available to us on the outside. Our first graduate is 28:25 now going to, she's becoming a chef. She's graduating in 28:30 November. But we plan to provide vocational training, computer 28:36 science. We plan to do soap making. We plan to do the 28:42 farming, security, masonry. Those are some of the plans when 28:46 the children get older we have provided as they get older 28:50 to be involved in so that when they do leave the village at 28:54 some point we must transition that into the environment. We 29:00 want them to have these skills of their interest that will help 29:05 them with their families as well 29:08 Mmm, excellent. 29:09 Excellent. Can you tell us a little bit about the churches 29:13 around the area, how the village and the children work together. 29:19 Is there a way that you work together? 29:21 Yes we have services here every Sabbath and that's what we're 29:28 doing right now. We're expanding the dining hall in order to have 29:32 more room for the church services. Also, Child Impact is 29:36 in the process of giving us money to build a multipurpose building 29:39 So here in a few months, we're going to have a large facility 29:42 for church also. At the same time we're going to teach sewing 29:49 and all the different vocational classes in the multipurpose 29:51 building when we get it finished 29:54 As far as the community's involvement we have as many as 30:00 120 children from the 30:03 community come to worship with us on Sabbath so we swell to 30:07 numbers over 200 at times (skips). We have churches, our 30:13 local Seventh-day Adventist churches bring their Pathfinders 30:16 over to have a wonderful play day and the children worship. So 30:21 the children also are aware that they can be involved in 30:25 different activities like Master Guide or Adventurers or (skip) 30:31 That is something that the children are so excited to see 30:33 the uniforms and the marching and the (skip) It's something 30:39 that we love to collaborate with our neighboring churches on 30:43 Sabbath. It's a wonderful time. 30:45 (Nice.) Excellent. This is wonderful. (It is) 30:49 You're not missing out at all. 30:50 We try not to. 30:54 Can you walk us through what would be a typical day. We 30:57 already know that by 6:30 they have to be on their way to 31:00 school. What's like a typical day? 31:03 A typical day for a child going to school is that at 5:30 their 31:11 mamas wake them up. When they wake up they have to first clean 31:17 their environment because they cannot leave home without 31:20 cleaning up. (Making their bed) They got to make their bed, they 31:23 have to mop the floors. They have to make sure everything's 31:27 in place. Then they have worship have morning worship and then 31:32 they have breakfast. After breakfast they head down to the 31:36 security gate. He accounts for all the children at the gate 31:39 and there's an attendant at the gate that will assist them to 31:43 the school. At lunchtime the children come back from 31:47 school because they do eat lunch at home and then go back to 31:51 school. So after they come home between 4 and 5 o'clock in the 31:58 afternoon, when they come home, at that time they have to take 32:01 their uniforms off. If it is soiled they have to wash their 32:05 clothes. They have to clean their clothes for the next day 32:08 and then at 6 o'clock, they are going to get their supper. 32:13 Supper is prepared for them. They will eat. After eating they 32:17 have to clean the dining area make sure it's ready for worship 32:21 again at 7. The mamas are very involved with each child in each 32:27 home so each child separates into their own homes according 32:30 to their age group so that they can have their Bible study. 32:33 After Bible study they get their homework done and then Mama puts 32:36 them to bed right around 9:30 in the evening. 32:42 Wonderful. (Wow) It's a full day It's a full day of activity. 32:45 Yes, it's a full day. 32:48 Yes and when you said they are coming home for lunch that must 32:54 be quite an experience. They walk to school, walk back home, 33:00 then walk back to school and then walk back home again. They are 33:05 getting their exercise. 33:08 And you know if they have time they always, they never miss a 33:13 day Monday through Friday they will be on the soccer field 33:17 which they call football. They will never miss a football 33:21 practice. They have one in the community, they are the number 33:25 one football player in our community because they 33:28 never miss a day. 33:30 Oh wow, that's exciting. Well you know it's nice to be involved 33:34 with the community. The sports is important just like academics 33:38 is important and it's very good and therapeutic for the children 33:45 to work with the soil to work in the on the farm. 33:50 And to be aware of what it requires to take care of a home 33:56 because someday they will be out on their own and no one's going 34:00 to be there to make their beds for them and clean after them 34:04 And some people may say that I still, wash my children's 34:08 clothing. Well you know that might get...when they learn 34:12 their colors the kids already know how to do laundry. So but 34:18 it's admirable you know to see the children they learn the 34:22 rhythm of life and their responsibilities and how proud 34:25 they are to do a good job you know. And they'll come and say 34:29 I am done. I did it and of course acknowledge the job well 34:35 done. So praise the Lord for that. Now we talked about the 34:42 medical and the physical and the school stuff but you know 34:46 sometimes there is an area that we overlook and that is the 34:50 dentistry work. Because as far as general checkups, well every 34:55 body does that. You know after certain months you have to go 35:00 get a check and monthly year checkup but what about the 35:04 dental. Do you need help in taking care of the children's 35:07 teeth? 35:11 Yes, we do. We have Art and Heidi Let's see where are they from. 35:16 (Tennessee) Tennessee and they came and they examined all of 35:20 the children about a year ago and out of all the children we 35:23 only had five cavities in all the children. We don't give them 35:30 candy or sweets as such but still, we could use dentists to 35:33 some on a regular basis to come and help. And the closest 35:38 is four hours from here. So any time we need to take a child to 35:40 the dentist it's a long, long trip just to take them to the 35:45 dentist. And it generally takes two days to drive over there 35:47 go to the dentist and come back So we can always use dentists. 35:51 Of course, we can use anybody to come and volunteer and help us 35:53 for a period of time. Out of the eight homes we have one home 35:57 just for volunteers and guests. And we have solar electricity, 36:01 solar hot water, well we don't have hot water because the hot 36:04 water tanks need to be replaced. But we have Wi-Fi as you know 36:07 because that's how we're with you. So we have a three-bedroom 36:10 home for anybody who wants to come and visit us. 36:13 Excellent, excellent. So there is housing available for someone 36:17 that wants to go and visit and get to know the ministry, see 36:21 the children and...you know it's one thing to see pictures and 36:24 videos and all but it's another thing to actually be there. 36:28 And one of the items that you mentioned Jerry one of the items 36:34 that you just mentioned is the solar-powered water heater and 36:41 all these items. There is a special need for the solar 36:46 panels, right? 36:47 No, the solar hot heaters. See we built this village 12 years 36:50 ago. I've actually been in Tanzania since 2009 but all of 36:55 the solar hot water heaters were put on the homes in 2012 and 36:59 they are not working. We couldn't find the parts for them 37:03 and they all need to be replaced We need approximately $20,000 37:07 just to replace the solar hot water heaters for the children 37:10 Currently none of the children have hot water. We always have 37:13 some kind of special need and that's one of the needs. Talking 37:17 about solar, we own the solar system and our batteries need 37:21 to be replaced also because they're two years old. 37:25 In October we're going to have some lithium batteries shipped 37:28 to us so we'll be having the power then but right now we're 37:34 missing electricity almost every night just because our batteries 37:36 need to be replaced. So we need $5500 just to replace the 37:40 batteries to get us by until October We'd appreciate that too 37:45 Excellent, so $5500 for the batteries right now and $20,000 37:50 for the whole water heater that you need. 37:55 Because we need 10 of them and they're averaging about $2000 38:00 apiece. 38:01 That's wonderful. You know you mentioned volunteers. What type 38:05 of volunteer work. When somebody says I want to be a volunteer 38:08 what can they expect as far as a volunteer to be able to do or 38:16 it's just you have different needs and they can do either 38:21 medical or hands-on. Like perhaps you need some remodeling 38:26 done in some of these homes. What kind of volunteers do you 38:29 need? What do you need? 38:30 As a matter of fact any type of volunteering is acceptable 38:36 because we're a home and we have children. And we've had 38:40 volunteers that come to do painting. They paint rabbits on 38:45 the wall. We've had volunteer ophthalmologists who come to 38:49 check the children's eyes. We had a physician that has come 38:53 to the village to do check ups, wellness checkups. So we 38:59 have volunteers that promised that they would like to build a 39:02 walkway, construction, anything at all. If you like to cook 39:08 there's the kitchen. If you like to plant there's the farm and if 39:12 you like to tell stories there's the children. If you like to 39:15 sing they love to sing. Anything at all, we want (skips) 39:20 That is wonderful. (Great) Well I do know that we have some 39:24 videos to share with our family at home so would you like to go 39:30 to a video? 39:34 Wonderful, sure. You're welcome. 39:35 Okay. Well we have a video about Grace, tell us a little bit 39:42 about Grace before we see the video. 39:43 You know, she's been with us for I think 10 years. We've had one 39:51 that's been with us for 14 years No one really resigns because we 39:54 take care of even our mamas and our staff that are part of our 39:58 family. She just shares some of her experiences while she's been 40:02 here helping us. 40:03 All right. Well we'd like to introduce you to Grace and you 40:07 can hear from her, her experience. 40:09 My name is Grace Meyer. I have been at Falco Children's village 40:17 for? years now. My sister has been here for 11 years 40:25 and most of my staff have been with us for many years like 40:32 we have had one of us for 10 years (Unclear) we join with 40:38 Falco's Children's Village because 40:48 Also, they make us the best family of Falco's Children Village. We 40:53 enjoy being working with _ (Unclear) 40:59 Well, thank you, Grace. I hear the children. You know praise 41:06 the Lord for a noisy house you know. That means the children 41:12 are well and happy and healthy. 41:17 Same as Grace and Elaine. 41:18 She and her sister have been in ministry with you guys there 41:20 (Wow) They both are administrators and are really 41:29 loving, loving sisters. They have families of their own but 41:32 they have devoted their time to the children wholeheartedly. No 41:37 matter what your need is they are there and they are wonderful 41:41 to have. 41:42 That's wonderful, wonderful. 41:44 If you share the video of Jennifer. Jennifer is one of the 41:48 girls that was in the process of being sold to be either a 41:51 prostitute or a wife. We have a number of our girls that were in 41:55 that process that we started taking care of. That's something 41:58 else we haven't shared so far is some of our children that we 42:02 have, have been thrown in toilets, some were abandoned in 42:05 the field. Our youngest son that we adopted was buried alive. 42:09 We have also had children that had burns all over them because 42:16 whenever a child is abandoned to a stranger and the stranger 42:17 did not want them they sometimes throw boiling water on them to 42:21 run them off. So we had children that had a lot of needs and had 42:26 been abandoned and abused severely in the past. But when 42:30 you come you really can't tell that because the children are 42:33 laughing, enjoying, and running and playing. Maybe one time 42:37 every two or three months you see a couple of children 42:40 fighting each other because we really are a wonderful loving 42:44 family. And I'm not saying that just because of Valerie and I. 42:48 When you come you'll see that. You'll experience that when you 42:51 come visit us. 42:53 (For sure.) That's wonderful You know you just mentioned briefly 42:56 a great danger because some of these children are sold 42:58 as slaves. 43:00 And as young brides...At what age, do you have an idea of what 43:04 age some of these children could become...they sell them as 43:08 prostitutes or wives. 43:13 Well the children...we have right now with us twins and when 43:21 their father passed away the uncle, which is the culture 43:28 the uncle takes charge of that household. The brother of that 43:34 deceased man will take charge and he didn't really want to 43:37 have the girls and so he wanted to sell the girls off the be 43:42 young brides. They were 11 years old at the time. And one girl 43:49 would be worth about 20 bulls so having to sell two you would 43:53 get 40 bulls. So they were in the process of being sold. But 43:58 the mother who was a Christian went to her pastor for help in 44:04 secret and they are here currently in secret going to 44:09 school and getting an education because you know in that culture 44:14 if the mother were to stand up against the uncle and say no, no 44:17 these are my girls. She is at risk for danger herself so we do 44:24 have children that are unfortunately in that 44:27 predicament. We have one young lady who was about to be sold 44:29 for a bag of sugar and we rescued her as well. So we had 44:34 three different children at risk but we have provided homes 44:40 through the grace of the Lord and with the help of our 44:42 supporters around the world to give these children a second 44:45 chance, one that the desperately long for. They are so 44:48 grateful. 44:51 Yes (Amen) Can you translate that into...you said 40 bulls. 44:54 How much is that in dollars? Can you help us with that. 45:00 Bulls would be around $400 here approximately. That would be 45:06 quite a bit of money here in Tanzania. 45:11 Bulls are not commodities so if you have a bull, you have 45:15 bulls. The more bulls you have the wealthier you are considered 45:20 to be. 45:23 So you are providing... 45:26 The prettier the girl the more bulls that they have to pay 45:27 for her okay. 45:31 So this is a rescue mission as well as a family shelter 45:37 protection. So we praise the Lord for what you are doing. 45:40 We want to go to Jennifer's story. Let's go ahead and begin 45:42 with the first video about Jennifer. 45:44 Hi, my name is Jennifer. I'm 10 years old and I have 45:47 a relative in Falco's Children's and I'm waiting for the address 45:51 to grade school. I won't forget my life at Falco's Children 45:55 Village because before I joined 45:57 Falco's Children Village my life wasn't very good and I come from 46:03 a polygamous family where my father has two wives. And he was 46:09 not able to provide all the needs for me and my relatives 46:12 so that's the reason why I came here. The shelter was not 46:16 very good and I would even sleep without eating. And I 46:19 always saw people wearing fancy clothes and good clothes but 46:22 I wish I could do so. But it was only one day when Papa 46:28 was passing and helped me out I came to Falco's Village. 46:34 I was amazed to see a nice environment people who 46:35 are very happy and they were welcoming me. And I really thank 46:40 God because I got clothes, shelter and food. 46:46 Praise the Lord. Shelter and food and a home atmosphere. This 46:51 is life-changing for these children. 46:54 That's right. (Yes it is) That's how she got there and now she 46:56 was in the program and we have another clip with her right? 47:00 Yes. Okay. Let's go to that clip 47:03 To sit on the fence Falco has made me very, very, very with a 47:09 a lot of things. I grew mentally, spiritually, and physically. I 47:16 wish for a long time to attend school but when I came here I 47:17 was amazed to go away to school so I was very happy. But also I 47:22 wanted to have good clothes but I was surprised to be given a 47:26 lot of clothes and it was only for like a Christmas and it was 47:31 given a lot of clothes also I was happy. But also I enjoyed the 47:34 food that was being provided here, finding friends and seeing 47:38 people who are with me. I was very happy. It helped me grow 47:41 spiritually. I know the Bible. I know the Bible stories and 47:44 I can even tell people what they have to do. I can 47:50 motivate and help them so that they cannot give up and that was 47:55 not the end because I was in a bad situation. But now I am in a 47:58 good situation so Falco's for me And also they helped me grow 48:04 mentally because now I have graduated and I also have food. 48:08 Amen and amen. Wow. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. 48:11 Just when you probably gave up all hopes and just was probably 48:17 when Jennifer thought that there was no way of fixing her life 48:21 the Lord has made provision and the Lord is faithful and He will 48:27 provide for her every need. We don't know how. We don't know 48:31 through whom and it may be perhaps that the Lord is calling 48:35 you at home to be that help that they need. We have this last 48:40 clip of Jennifer and we'd like for you to see what her plans 48:42 are. 48:44 Falco's has made me to be a demand woman because now I 48:52 want to be a social worker because for the life I passed 48:56 through I want to help others to know that is not the end. If you 49:01 have a hard situation God still loves you and will always be 49:03 with you. So I want to help with broken marriages and bring 49:06 them back together. The separate families and the poor children 49:09 who are disabled. I would have to help them and motivate them 49:14 in various ways. And also I want to thank the sponsors and 49:18 people out there who are helping Falco's Children Village. May 49:22 God bless you in whatever you do and wherever you go and fill your 49:25 baskets until they cannot get in anymore. I also want to thank 49:29 Papa and Mama because a lot of people who are reached have 49:34 forgotten that there are people who are poor and have given their 49:37 time and even everything they have can help people. So may God 49:41 bless you and be blessed. Thank you. 49:44 Wow. Thank you very much. You know I see your faces smiling 49:49 You enjoy what you do. But you do have needs. What's your 49:52 monthly budget? What are the needs that are most pressing for 49:56 Falco's Children's Village? 49:59 Well right now is to replace our batteries which is about $5500 50:03 for the batteries. And we need about $20,000 so we have solar 50:07 hot water for the children again Right now the children don't 50:10 have any hot water. We tried to replace them. We tried to buy 50:14 the parts for them. After 12 years there wasn't anything we 50:17 could do. 50:19 Very good. Well thank you very much. I imagine that you may see 50:24 other needs that maybe they didn't mention. There's a need for 50:26 clothing. There's a need for other things that children need. They 50:30 talked about needing computers in the future to help them learn 50:35 that aspect of vocational training. So we encourage you to 50:39 support this ministry. This is a ministry that's making a 50:42 difference in the lives of children that potentially could 50:44 be out in the street and be sold as slaves or be sold as 50:50 prostitutes. They are doing a work that should be prayed for. 50:55 We encourage you to pray for them and we are going to share 51:00 with you. The contact information You can also visit their website 51:02 and see a lot of information there. So we're going to go to 51:07 the contact information. We're going to do news about 3ABN 51:09 and then we'll be back in just a moment. 51:11 If you would like to contact or know more about 51:19 Falco's Children Africa, Inc. you can write to them at 51:23 PO Box 14, Sapulpa, OK 74067 You can also visit the website 51:36 FalcosChildrenAfrica.org or you can email them at 51:44 info@FalcosChildrenAfrica.org |
