01:05 Hello, friends, welcome to another edition of 3ABN Today.
01:09 And my name is Ryan Day, and it is a blessing, as always,
01:12 to have our friends, our family members,
01:15 from all around the world
01:16 joining us during this special hour.
01:18 We have all kinds of different 3ABN Today programs.
01:21 Sometimes it might be a cooking program
01:24 where you're learning how to, you know, cook special recipes
01:26 and good healthy meals.
01:28 It could be a Today Bible program where we take on a
01:31 Bible topic and we dig deep into the Word of God
01:33 and learn all about what the Bible teaches on a subject.
01:36 It could be a Today music program.
01:39 You've seen myself and Tim, and other musical guests,
01:41 around the piano.
01:42 Those are also a special Today program.
01:45 It may be a 3ABN Today Bible Q and A program
01:49 that airs on Mondays.
01:50 If you haven't checked that out, then you need to.
01:52 Get your Bible questions answered.
01:54 All different types of Today programs that we have.
01:56 Today on this Today program we're going to be interviewing,
02:01 we're going to be getting a special update
02:03 from our good friend, Rodney Reynold,
02:05 the 3ABN representative from Trinidad and Tobago.
02:08 How are you doing, my brother?
02:09 I'm great, thank you.
02:10 ~ Amen. Praise the Lord.
02:12 Rodney has come with lots and lots of incredible updates
02:15 to show us just what God is doing in the country of
02:18 Trinidad and Tobago.
02:19 So it's just going to be a blessed hour.
02:21 You're not going to want to go anywhere.
02:22 But before we do, we're going to have a special musical number
02:26 that's going to be brought to us right now
02:28 by Mr. Gene McDonald.
02:31 You know, when I was in college, a guy by the name of
02:34 Carroll McGruder wrote this song.
02:36 And his wife, Priscilla sang it.
02:39 And it was just amazing to me.
02:44 I didn't realize until I heard this song
02:47 that you can never walk too far from God.
02:50 You know, He will allow you back no matter what.
02:54 And this song means a lot to me because of that.
03:08 I was lost; with loving hands He reached for me.
03:19 So tenderly He sought to give me victory.
03:29 Yet, stubbornly I would not heed the Savior's plea.
03:40 But patiently He kept loving me.
03:51 He kept right on loving when there was no love in return.
04:01 He kept right on pleading when His voice I would spurn.
04:11 And though I went my selfish way,
04:16 and I failed Him miserably,
04:22 patiently He kept loving me.
04:37 Today I know that it was only grace that set me free.
04:47 God could have just as easily gave up on me.
04:55 Oh, persistently He dealt with me until I let Him in.
05:05 Oh, I thank my God that He kept loving me.
05:17 He kept right on loving when there was no love in return.
05:27 He kept right on pleading when His voice I would spurn.
05:36 And though I went my selfish way,
05:41 and I failed Him miserably,
05:45 oh I thank my God that He kept loving me.
05:57 Oh praise the Lord,
06:00 He kept loving me.
06:23 Amen, amen. Praise God.
06:26 Thank you so much, Gene and our good friend Tim Parton
06:29 at the piano there.
06:30 My goodness, just such a beautiful song.
06:32 He just kept loving me.
06:34 That's what this is all about.
06:36 That's what this life is really all about.
06:38 God trying to show and express and share His love with us
06:41 in hopes that it will draw us to Him.
06:44 And praise the Lord for that.
06:45 Thank you, guys. It's such a blessed song.
06:48 If you're just now tuning in, you are watching 3ABN Today.
06:51 And you're not too late, because we're about to jump right in
06:55 to getting to know Mr. Rodney Reynold at little better and
06:58 what God is doing in Trinidad and Tobago on behalf of 3ABN.
07:02 And so, Rodney, tell us a little bit about yourself, brother.
07:06 Because there may be, we have new viewers all the time
07:08 that are tuning into 3ABN.
07:09 And while some of our viewers may be familiar with you,
07:11 others may not be, so tell us a little bit about yourself,
07:14 where you're from, and how you got connected with 3ABN
07:17 and becoming a representative.
07:19 Ryan, thank you for having us here.
07:23 I became a 3ABN volunteer over 18 years ago.
07:27 I met Danny Shelton on the island of Trinidad
07:30 and Tobago when he came.
07:32 He spoke about many aspects of what 3ABN does,
07:37 and I found it to be really dynamic and amazing.
07:42 And it reaches people's souls at their home.
07:46 And we had a great challenge on our island reaching people
07:48 because there were gated communities.
07:50 And I said, "Yes."
07:51 And that's how I came on board.
07:52 And 18 years after, it's been an amazing journey.
07:55 ~ Amen. Praise the Lord.
07:56 Were you born and raised in Trinidad/Tobago?
07:58 Born and raised in Trinidad, a beautiful island,
08:01 on the east coast in north Manzanilla side.
08:04 And it's countryside.
08:07 It's just beautiful.
08:08 I'm now on the west coast, which is in Port of Spain.
08:11 And it's just amazing.
08:12 We have a population of 1.5 million.
08:15 We love food on our island.
08:17 And the people on our island, no matter how much we go through,
08:21 our challenges, personal challenges with family and such,
08:24 there's a great number of love, as we would see
08:27 in some of the projects that we do.
08:29 And what we capture here today is just essence of
08:32 some of what we do in the island to share
08:35 God's love, God's mercies, God's blessings,
08:38 and much, much more.
08:39 Amen.
08:41 So what are the religious demographics like there
08:44 in Trinidad and Tobago?
08:46 Is it mostly Protestant? Is it Catholic?
08:49 If someone were to take a trip there,
08:51 would they see churches on every street corner
08:54 like they might here in America?
08:55 What's it like there?
08:57 We have 160-plus churches, Seventh-day Adventist churches,
09:01 in the island, however, the Catholic are more
09:05 dominant in the island.
09:06 And it's just, everyone comes together at times in need.
09:12 And there's a great deal of love, unity, and fellowship
09:15 among each other.
09:17 We don't say, you are of this faith and you are of that faith,
09:19 but there's that love.
09:21 There's that love there for each other.
09:23 And we have a lot of respect as well.
09:26 ~ Sure. Praise the Lord.
09:27 Man, that's incredible.
09:29 Something we could probably learn a little bit about here
09:31 in America where there's a little bit more of a,
09:33 I guess you could say, maybe religious division here
09:36 in this country as opposed to maybe other countries.
09:38 But that's a powerful thing to see.
09:40 All of God's people, no matter what the denomination,
09:43 can still share that love and still, come together like that.
09:46 Powerful. Amen.
09:48 Alright, so give us an update.
09:50 My mind is going back to February or March of 2020.
09:56 Because I was, along with several other of the 3ABN
10:01 personalities here, we were informed that we're all
10:03 going to Trinidad and Tobago for a week or so.
10:07 And I was excited to go and was looking forward to it.
10:10 We had already bought our plane tickets.
10:11 And at the last minute, I was one among all of the other
10:16 personalities that didn't get to come.
10:18 And I so wanted to come and visit your wonderful country.
10:20 But 3ABN, you mentioned that Danny was there
10:24 over, I think, 17 or 18 years ago.
10:26 But then they returned to Trinidad and Tobago in 2020.
10:30 So tell us about that.
10:32 It was divine providence all together.
10:34 But it started in 2019.
10:38 We were at ASI and we spoke to Jill and Greg,
10:44 and they said, "We're coming to Trinidad."
10:46 And everything happened in such a divine providence way.
10:52 And it was just absolutely amazing.
10:54 We have photos to show just to capture it.
10:57 But it was just a tremendous time.
11:00 ~ Amen, let's pull those photos up right now to see them.
11:03 Right, this is at the airport when the 3ABN family came
11:06 in March of 2020.
11:08 And this is one of the churches.
11:10 Now because of the timeline, which is about a week
11:15 that the 3ABN family was there, we could only
11:18 have visited three churches during Sabbath time.
11:21 So initially we selected that church shown in
11:26 Couva Seventh-day Adventist Church.
11:30 It was full to the max.
11:32 They had a tent outside and they had television outside.
11:36 And all of the other three churches that we went to,
11:39 they were full to capacity.
11:40 Up until today, it has never been full that amount of people.
11:45 We just sent out messages on social media platforms:
11:50 WhatsApp, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn.
11:56 All social media platforms, and even more.
11:59 And people were just sharing with others,
12:01 and people were just so happy and thrilled just to meet
12:04 the 3ABN family in person.
12:05 And when the 3ABN family came there,
12:08 they went and they shook people's hands,
12:10 met them in the pews, and they were just so happy.
12:14 And we had one event where the mayor from Port of Spain,
12:19 he came into Stanmore Seventh-day Adventist Church
12:23 and he was wondering whether this is a church or not.
12:28 Because when he walked in, the entire church was just laughing.
12:31 So, I mean, Jill and Greg and Jason had the whole church
12:36 just in laughter in sharing their experiences
12:39 and how they got there.
12:41 And the entire event was just divine appointment.
12:45 It was, it was.
12:46 Up until the day, the 3ABN family came into the island
12:51 and left just a few days before the island shut down from Covid.
12:55 And people were just so amazed.
12:57 And they were so happy just to see the whole 3ABN family,
13:02 and just to connect with them, have a conversation with them.
13:05 And that was just all they wanted.
13:07 And it was just tremendous joy.
13:09 We can't wait for them to come back,
13:11 including yourself and your wife,
13:13 everyone to just come back and spend some time.
13:16 And you will see the love and you will enjoy the food.
13:18 You will enjoy the doubles.
13:20 You will enjoy everything that we have to offer there.
13:22 ~ Praise the Lord, brother. Praise the Lord.
13:24 I know I can feel the love even though I wasn't there.
13:27 Because in the weeks after that event,
13:31 the emails and the messages that I got through social media
13:35 from people there who were saying, you know,
13:36 "Pastor Ryan, so sorry you couldn't come.
13:38 We were looking forward to seeing you and meeting you."
13:40 And so, I just want to give a shout out to my good friends
13:43 in Trinidad and Tobago, thank you, guys, so much
13:45 for your support and your love of 3ABN ministry.
13:49 And evidently, it's clear that 3ABN ministry
13:51 has blessed a lot of people there tremendously.
13:53 And it's great to know that even in a country that, you know,
13:58 I want to say this respectfully, it's a small country, right?
14:01 A lot of people don't think of Trinidad and Tobago, but yet
14:03 the influence of 3ABN is reaching as far across
14:07 the sea all the way to Trinidad and Tobago,
14:09 and lives are being changed because of the gospel message
14:13 here on the network.
14:14 So it's a blessing.
14:15 Because of the 3ABN family visit, one guy recently
14:18 came up to us and he said he gave back his live to God.
14:20 He went out of the church and he came back.
14:23 And it was just a very months ago he came up to me
14:25 and told that to me.
14:27 We have a lot of photos and experiences to share.
14:30 But again we want to share much, but in this short space of time
14:36 there are so many projects and events,
14:39 and what we're doing in the community.
14:43 It's just a picture of it.
14:44 So could you talk about that for a moment?
14:45 Because I know when people think of 3ABN,
14:48 obviously Three Angels Broadcasting Network,
14:51 we're a broadcasting network.
14:52 We are mostly known as a media ministry,
14:55 so we create content in a studio.
14:57 It goes out all around the world for people to
15:00 hear the gospel through media:
15:02 through television, through internet.
15:03 But you guys, God is using you guys in Trinidad and Tobago
15:06 not necessarily to create content for TV,
15:09 but He's using you guys in a different capacity,
15:11 which I found to be pretty powerful.
15:13 So talk a little bit about the mission that God has
15:17 placed upon your heart as a volunteer to reach out to
15:20 these people in the community of Trinidad and Tobago.
15:22 We take the content that 3ABN produces
15:25 and we share it with people.
15:28 For example, we have over 200,000 people
15:31 with diabetes in the island.
15:32 We share the health message.
15:35 We have people who have mental issues, mental health.
15:38 There is depression.
15:40 There is a lot of violence in schools because of
15:43 coming back from out of the Covid.
15:46 And other things as well.
15:48 So we share on people's well-being.
15:54 How to add value to their life in any possible way,
15:56 down to the exercise program, counsels.
16:00 Every aspect of 3ABN we connect with the community.
16:04 Kids network, even 3ABN Latino, right?
16:07 We have people from Venezuela, over 20,000 who fled from
16:11 Venezuela to come to Trinidad for safety.
16:15 And then we have people from Cuba coming also to Trinidad.
16:18 We share 3ABN Latino with them
16:20 in so many ways and let them know.
16:23 And that's just some of what we do to impact
16:25 in our small beautiful island.
16:28 ~ Absolutely.
16:30 And so you're sharing 3ABN content with people.
16:32 But then, of course, you were talking with me earlier
16:35 about this missionary aspect in the sense that
16:38 it's not like you're just handing our DVD's
16:40 or handing out content, you know.
16:42 God is using you guys as actually boots on the ground,
16:45 get out there and meet people's needs
16:48 and ministering to them in a very loving way,
16:50 as the gospel commands us.
16:54 Talk to us about what happened...
16:56 I mean, because just a few days after the 3ABN family left,
17:01 the country was shut down, right?
17:03 ~ Yes. ~And then Covid comes.
17:06 But you guys didn't stop, right?
17:07 So you kept pressing forward.
17:08 Talk to us about some of the projects
17:10 that God has used you to do since then.
17:13 It was such an amazing year for us in 2020.
17:17 There's so much to share about that.
17:19 But in essence we received 100,000
17:22 "Ten Commandments Twice Removed" books
17:24 that was donated by 3ABN to the beautiful island of
17:26 Trinidad and Tobago.
17:28 And we had volunteers come, even though we had
17:31 the island shut down, came and packaged it,
17:34 and we went out in the community across the island
17:37 and met people where possible door-to-door.
17:39 Prayed with them, gave them a book.
17:42 And we just go right around the island, every aspect of it,
17:46 and people were well receptive of it.
17:48 And a lot of them did not know about 3ABN.
17:51 They don't know about the book, Ten Commandments Twice Removed,
17:54 about God's love in His law.
17:56 And it was just so dynamic.
17:59 We had an estimated 2000 volunteers in that given year.
18:05 Right, and there was Covid shutdown as well.
18:07 We also went during curfew.
18:10 Always curfew started from 9:00 pm.
18:13 We were out there in the community at nights as well
18:17 reaching out to people.
18:18 People would call us and say, "We have no food.
18:21 We have children."
18:23 So we got donations from many organizations
18:27 and we went and delivered hampers to people
18:32 in all parts of the island.
18:36 Plus we had, one of our highlights was that during Covid
18:43 we went out and were distributing,
18:45 Ten Commandments Twice Removed, books.
18:47 That was a daylight curfew.
18:49 And the police saw us. It was an unmarked vehicle.
18:54 And they stopped us; four men heavily armed with guns.
18:58 They surrounded the vehicle and asked us,
19:00 "What are you doing here?"
19:01 So we presented our documents, we had permission
19:05 by the commissioner of police to be in the community
19:08 and to be out in curfew hours.
19:10 And it was about five of us there.
19:13 And we told them what we were doing,
19:15 who we are, and such and such.
19:16 And they said okay, they took pictures of the documents
19:20 and such, and before he left, I said, "Thank you for your time.
19:25 And this is a gift from us."
19:27 And we gave him the, Ten Commandments
19:29 Twice Removed, book.
19:30 That man just paused, looked back, and said,
19:32 "This is what you're doing in the community?"
19:35 I said, "Yes."
19:36 "By all means, no police will stop you,
19:38 because of what you are doing.
19:40 You have official pass from the government,
19:43 and this book, Ten Commandments Twice Removed,
19:46 my sister is a Seventh-day Adventist."
19:49 And he shared with all the police officers.
19:53 And we had quite a few experiences where police
19:56 stopped us on the road, and we gave them a
19:57 book, saying, "Thank you."
19:58 We had one police officer just pull up, "3ABN? 3ABN?"
20:03 I said, "Yes, we're here."
20:04 And he said, "3ABN?" I said, "Yes, we're here."
20:07 And he said he didn't know.
20:08 "I will tell my mom."
20:10 Right, and he was so excited. Really excited.
20:13 If he could have run over to the car and give me a hug,
20:15 he would have done that.
20:16 But it was just a joy when we meet people in the community,
20:23 police officers, anyone in the community that
20:26 just love 3ABN.
20:28 ~ Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
20:29 And I know that you guys have seen obvious results
20:33 from what you're doing.
20:34 I mean, even some baptisms.
20:36 I think we even have some pictures of some baptisms.
20:38 And I think we might even have some pictures
20:40 of the "Ten Commandments" project
20:43 that you guys were doing.
20:44 So let's pull up the first baptismal picture.
20:47 And just walk us through who this is and the story behind it.
20:50 This is in the picture, the person in the white is Michelle.
20:53 She is watching 3ABN just about a year and a half.
20:57 And her husband had passed away.
20:59 And this is how she got connected to 3ABN
21:03 just flipping through the channels.
21:05 And she lives in Westmoorings aspect
21:07 in the west of the island.
21:09 And it was just so amazing.
21:10 She just walked in the Woodbrook Seventh-day Adventist Church
21:14 and said she would like to get baptized.
21:15 And the picture there is Pastor Eshan Arjoon
21:19 and Pastor Gabriel as well.
21:22 They gave her Bible studies and preparation,
21:24 and she got baptized.
21:26 From the moment she's baptized, and she was watching 3ABN
21:30 and involved with what we are doing,
21:32 we asked her to come on the ground with us
21:34 when we go into all the communities.
21:35 And she is just so amazing.
21:37 She just prays with people and she has a connection
21:39 with young people; talking to them, getting them all excited,
21:44 getting them to know about the love of God.
21:47 And in our island, in 3ABN Trinidad and Tobago,
21:51 we use our mission slogan,
21:53 "We are mission-focused, mission-driven.
21:55 More mission and less talk."
21:58 We go on the ground; grassroots.
22:01 We meet people where they are and connect with them.
22:04 Sharing the love of God with people in such a dynamic way
22:08 that people don't expect to see you as a television station
22:12 reaching out to people.
22:13 Not just tell them, "Here is information about who we are."
22:17 We connect with them.
22:18 If they're going through depression,
22:20 if they're going through stress management,
22:21 we say, "Hey, look on our app. Just type in 'stress.'
22:24 We have these presentations at no charge.
22:27 And you just watch these presentations.
22:29 And we can add value to your life."
22:31 And we try to let them know, every aspect of their
22:35 family life, we can add much more value to it as well.
22:39 ~ Praise the Lord.
22:41 That's really what it's all about.
22:42 Yes, you want to see those baptisms,
22:44 you want to see those people give their heart to Christ
22:47 and be brought to that watery tank in which
22:49 they're giving their life to Jesus
22:51 and burying the old man behind.
22:52 But then, you know, you don't just want them to just
22:54 go on from there and do nothing.
22:56 We want to graft them into the mission of our church
22:58 and be able to carry on the same work that we're doing as well.
23:02 And so, praise the Lord for that.
23:03 I think we have another picture of someone who was baptized.
23:07 And who is this we're looking at?
23:08 Dr. Stacy and Richard.
23:10 Richard got baptized in 2021 from watching 3ABN,
23:15 and also Amazing Facts as well.
23:17 And he has just been on the road with us, on the ground.
23:21 He's really hands-on.
23:23 His wife has volunteered her time in the capacity of
23:26 medical doctor.
23:27 And she has been with us in health fairs all over.
23:32 And her mother as well.
23:33 So wherever we go, I ask them to come.
23:35 His wife comes most of the time.
23:37 And when he comes, he gives his testimony to people.
23:40 He encourages young people to come out
23:43 and share the love of God.
23:44 And if you're not in love with God, he'll share his life story.
23:49 And everybody has a life story.
23:51 And once you give your testimony of how God has been such
23:55 amazing in your life when you think He wasn't there,
23:58 these testimonies are just incredible.
24:02 ~ Praise the Lord. Thank you for that.
24:04 Praise God for Richard and Dr. Stacy.
24:06 And we also have a third picture here we want to show
24:09 of that baptism.
24:10 What's happening here?
24:11 This is an evangelistic series.
24:14 An evangelistic series that we had in late November.
24:18 We went in the community and met people on the ground
24:21 letting them know about the event and know about 3ABN.
24:24 And we told them that here's what is happening
24:28 in your community right there.
24:29 We will assist you if you need to come.
24:33 Come meet us there.
24:34 This is hosted by the St. Helena Seventh-day Adventist Church.
24:38 So we partnered with the church went on the ground,
24:41 met people door to door, and we just let them know
24:46 that we are here for them.
24:47 And during that time they had many activities
24:50 in the community, and people still came to the event.
24:53 And it was such an amazing experience.
24:58 At the end of it, 63 people gave their souls to Christ.
25:01 Some of them, we met them door to door
25:04 and spoke to them about 3ABN.
25:06 Some of them even got married there.
25:08 So we said, here's what.
25:10 On 3ABN app, on our station, we have good material for marriage,
25:15 to help you build your marriage.
25:16 And the guy, I spoke with a gentleman and he was
25:18 just so amazed to know that this is in his island.
25:22 And he was from a former faith, and he and his wife
25:25 got baptized as well.
25:27 And there's so many stories.
25:29 - So many stories to share. ~ Praise the Lord.
25:31 ~ I mean, that's the gospel. That's the real deal.
25:34 To see the gospel actually manifesting itself in
25:37 people's life and to see people's lives changed.
25:40 That's what we do. That's what we're here for.
25:42 Praise the Lord.
25:43 Now I think we also had some pictures to go along with the
25:46 project that you did,
25:47 the 100,000 "Ten Commandments Twice Removed."
25:51 So would you like to look at those now?
25:53 ~ Yes, certainly.
25:54 Walk us through what we're seeing here.
25:56 Right, this is Sabita.
25:57 She's one of our team leaders in Tabaquite.
26:01 Sabita, her husband and the children, and the entire
26:04 church of Brother's Road, hello to them.
26:07 They have been a tremendous support to 3ABN.
26:09 They go out into the community and meet others.
26:11 This is a picture from Toco where the volunteers went from
26:15 Matelot to Sangre Grande in one day.
26:21 So we had book distribution, we had hamper distribution.
26:24 In this picture is Navan, Lindi, and their boys.
26:28 They are a powerhouse for the Lord.
26:30 They're amazing.
26:31 He and his family went to Matelot, which is the peak
26:34 of the island, and they came down.
26:36 This is another photo from the same book drive in Rio Claro.
26:41 When we went to Rio Claro, Michelle was with us.
26:43 And it was just a tremendous blessing
26:46 to connect with the people in the community.
26:48 And a whole lot more we did.
26:50 ~ That's amazing.
26:52 ~ Three vehicles, people packed.
26:54 ~ You guys are all throughout the city.
26:57 ~ What's this here?
26:59 During the Covid time we got many requests from people
27:02 asking for hampers because they were unemployed.
27:05 They were not in a position financially.
27:08 So we received donations from many organizations
27:12 to purchase grocery items.
27:16 A lot of them donated grocery items to us.
27:19 And a team of us, we came together, packaged the items,
27:23 and went in, this is in Manzanilla.
27:26 Three pickups.
27:28 The road is so terrible that he had to use pickups.
27:32 And we just went from one end of Manzanilla to the other end.
27:38 Because we got a list, and we could only complete
27:41 so much based on the donations that we received
27:43 of the grocery items as well.
27:45 ~ Wow, that's amazing.
27:47 So, when you're out there and you're handing out these
27:49 "Ten Commandments Twice Removed" books,
27:52 what are the people's responses?
27:54 I mean, I've always been interested in that because
27:56 here in America, you know, you might get a mixed response.
27:59 Were people positively responsive to this?
28:02 Or did you have, you know, some people that were like,
28:04 "Get off my property. I don't want your book."
28:06 What were your responses there?
28:08 Overall, the majority of responses are really
28:10 receptive and positive.
28:11 People are happy to know that we are in the community.
28:15 We have youths, children giving out these books.
28:18 And when you have young people giving out these books,
28:20 to mature people as well, adults,
28:22 they tend to be more receptive as well.
28:25 And in the community, when we reach out to people,
28:27 some people, a few, not too many, they say many things about
28:33 God's ten commandments.
28:35 And we tell them that God's ten commandments still exist.
28:38 If you read the book and contact us,
28:41 we can reach out to you, we can do Bible studies with you.
28:44 We can tell you more.
28:45 We also have our flyer inside of the book
28:47 where you can watch 3ABN to know about the love of God
28:50 and what the love of God entails entirely in His law,
28:54 the ten commandments, and a whole lot more.
28:56 ~ Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
28:58 So I don't know, I'm looking at this.
29:00 You guys have done so much.
29:03 And it's incredible to see what God is doing to use you,
29:06 Rodney, and the volunteers there
29:08 in Trinidad and Tobago to reach the people there.
29:11 And you know, I don't know if you want to
29:14 go to the flood first, you want to go to the health fair
29:17 that you guys have been doing.
29:18 Which one do you want to take on at this point?
29:19 Let's do the flood.
29:21 Okay, yeah, so let's talk about this flood.
29:23 One of the other pictures that we saw just a moment ago
29:26 showed those three vehicles.
29:28 And you had mentioned that it was because of the bad roads.
29:31 You had to have some pickups.
29:32 And I know recently you guys had some flooding
29:36 in Trinidad and Tobago that required a much larger truck.
29:39 Tell us a little bit about that and what happened,
29:41 and how God used you guys to minister to the community.
29:44 Yes, in our island in late 2022 there was a series of
29:49 massive flooding.
29:50 And a lot of people were displaced in so many ways.
29:54 Sometimes three to five feet of water covered.
29:57 A lot of people lost almost everything in their house.
29:59 And when we say, "everything," and you go and see the house,
30:03 it's a shell.
30:05 And people from all over the island, someone people
30:07 reached out to us and said that, "We would like to get help
30:10 in some way."
30:11 So we reached out to the authorities in the area
30:15 and let them know there's this family that needs help
30:20 in relief supplies or rescuing.
30:23 From day one, Dean, he has the most, he has the largest F250.
30:32 ~ Yes he does.
30:33 Let's show that picture. Pull his picture up.
30:35 Look how big this truck is.
30:37 That's a big truck, man.
30:38 That's a mini monster truck is what that is.
30:40 That's Dean in the back there.
30:42 And that is his monster truck.
30:44 It's the largest F250 in the Caribbean.
30:48 He modified his vehicle.
30:50 That's one of his businesses.
30:51 He also has a garage for repairs.
30:55 He uses his business truly to share the message of salvation
31:03 and share the love of God.
31:05 He was saved by 3ABN.
31:07 And he has also a house that he invested
31:11 near the mountain top called Mount Zion.
31:13 That's his street name.
31:14 And it's a spectacular view.
31:16 He takes people up there and gives them his personal
31:19 testimony, and does Bible study with them.
31:21 When he meets them in the shop, he says, "Come up to my house."
31:24 And they come, and after they just take that view in,
31:29 it's just breathtaking.
31:31 And he does an amazing ministry and keeps letting people know
31:34 to watch 3ABN and see how God's love,
31:38 God has changed him from where he was
31:41 to where he is now, and where he can go forward.
31:44 It's so amazing when you see someone has met Jesus
31:50 and fallen in love with Jesus.
31:51 And when they do that, and they use their business,
31:55 their resources to continue that mission,
31:58 it is just such a tremendous joy.
32:02 What he does, he has been out there
32:04 in the flood for three days with his crew.
32:09 Three vehicles day after day, and in the night,
32:12 finishing late at night.
32:13 During that flood we were there, we were, like,
32:16 rapping up around 7:00 pm at night.
32:18 Someone just came and donated 200 meals, hot meals.
32:23 And we didn't turn it down.
32:26 So we just went into the communities nearby and
32:29 we gave out in one area, we thought the cars were parked
32:34 for the apartment, it was actually women and children
32:38 sleeping in the vehicles because they cannot pass.
32:41 And that broke us.
32:42 We just gave them hot food, we had drinks, we had water.
32:46 And those who were asleep, we put water on their vehicles
32:50 so when they wake up they can at least have some water to drink.
32:53 This was not just for a night, it was for a few nights, people
32:57 were just completely displaced.
32:59 And people get to know about who 3ABN is,
33:04 where we can connect.
33:05 In one area where we went, this guy had two daughters,
33:08 his said, "Here's what, I cannot sleep at night."
33:11 Because when the rain falls, it just makes him very anxious.
33:18 And he just doesn't want to go to sleep because
33:23 of what might repeat.
33:24 And it was that same way for so many people.
33:27 We had quite a few of our team members as well
33:30 who lost almost everything, except the music system.
33:34 So it was just really trauma for a lot of people.
33:38 It was an amazing opportunity to share the love of God,
33:42 that God still cares about you.
33:44 And we provided hot meals in capacity with other NGO's
33:49 that we work with.
33:51 We helped provide 200 to 400 assistance in transportation
33:57 from point A to point B.
33:59 And whatever it took.
34:00 We had volunteers with us from throughout the island helping,
34:04 but we focused on a central area.
34:07 That was our earmarked area because
34:08 they got one of the most affected.
34:12 It was just a tremendous disaster.
34:15 And it was a joy to be with people there
34:18 and assist them during their time of need.
34:21 It was just an incredible time.
34:23 And Dean got an award from the commissioner in the area
34:28 for being there for people.
34:30 One of his team members walked through the flood
34:32 in water up to almost his neck.
34:36 And the lady said, "Thank you for coming.
34:39 Thank you for coming so much.
34:42 But there's a caiman I saw some time ago just across there."
34:46 So the guy dropped his relief supplies and just went back
34:50 quickly as possible.
34:52 But what they did in those three days, him and his team
34:55 in three vehicles, it was just a tremendous help to the people
34:59 in whatever the capacity.
35:00 No food, no water, and a whole lot more.
35:04 ~ That's amazing, brother. That's amazing.
35:06 Yea, when people's lives are being shaken
35:09 that much by, you know, catastrophes like this,
35:11 or certain events like this where mother nature just
35:14 seems to wreak havoc on our homes and on our lives,
35:18 when they're shaken the most, that's when
35:20 they need to hear the gospel.
35:22 That's when they need to see it, not just hear about it.
35:23 They need to see it.
35:25 And that's what you guys are doing.
35:26 There on the ground, out in there.
35:28 Were you in the truck when they went out into...
35:31 ~ Sometimes. - Sometimes.
35:32 ~ What was the deepest water you guys went through?
35:34 Probably over five feet.
35:36 ~ Wow! - Five feet.
35:37 ~ That was probably scary. ~ Yeah.
35:39 ~ Kayak, we used a kayak to carry some of the supplies.
35:43 The amount of people that came and helped,
35:46 we had people from all different walks of life.
35:48 All different faiths, from Christians to Hindu, and Muslim.
35:52 Love was there.
35:53 People from south of the island to east of the island,
35:57 people just came and just shared the love and donated.
36:00 And Dean, as he has one of the largest F250 monster trucks
36:04 in the island, he has followers,
36:07 and the followers saw what he was doing.
36:10 So from another area south of the island, they came
36:13 with about seven vehicles and came with hundreds of
36:15 hot meals late at night and just went and gave it out as well.
36:20 ~ That's amazing. That's great stuff.
36:23 So you guys are passing out biblical literature,
36:28 you're sharing 3ABN programming with people,
36:31 you're obviously, I mean, you're out there during
36:33 the times of floods and these natural disasters
36:37 that are happening and just destroying people's live.
36:38 But you're there to share the love of Jesus
36:40 with them in these times.
36:42 But you know, there's also, you know, the health crisis
36:45 throughout the world, and you guys are also, you have projects
36:48 in which you are conducting health fairs nationwide.
36:52 Tell us a little bit about what 3ABN representation of
36:56 Trinidad and Tobago is doing with these health fairs.
36:59 In Trinidad, we have been invited to many health events,
37:04 health seminars, health fairs.
37:06 So we go in the community where we are invited,
37:09 we do an assessment of the area demographic,
37:12 and we see where 3ABN programs can assist people.
37:15 If in that area there's large amounts of diabetes,
37:19 if there's depression, maybe mental health,
37:21 we share what we offer.
37:23 We talk with them one on one.
37:25 Our doctors are there, our nurses are there
37:29 to give them any sort of a guidance,
37:31 and a whole lot more.
37:33 And of course, we let them know entirely
37:36 what 3ABN can help them with at no charge.
37:40 So we show them the app,
37:42 we show them that we're on the cable station.
37:44 If they don't have the cable, lots of them have the internet
37:48 in their home, they can watch us.
37:50 And we encourage people during their times of needs,
37:54 during all the destructions of life,
37:57 we want them to watch 3ABN.
37:59 Fall in love with God and see how God's love
38:02 is just so amazing.
38:04 When you start to watch 3ABN, the Holy Spirit speaks to you
38:07 and says, "Watch this part.
38:10 Watch this aspect of it."
38:12 The Lord will speak to you.
38:14 And there's so many people we have like that in the past
38:17 and up until now, people watch 3ABN for like three days,
38:20 and they say, "This is it.
38:23 This is God's truth."
38:24 It's completely from the Bible, biblical cover to cover.
38:29 And people just love what we offer.
38:32 And once it's shared, they want to support us
38:35 by volunteering their time.
38:37 If they have a business, they will say, like, if they're
38:39 doing baking, they will say, "I bake some bread for you all
38:42 to give out to the community."
38:44 We collect it and give it out to the community.
38:46 Whatever it be, just to share God's amazing love.
38:49 Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
38:51 That's amazing, brother, what you guys are doing there?
38:54 And you're also networking with other organizations as well.
38:58 So it's not like you guys are just there by yourselves.
39:00 You've got connections and you're doing projects with
39:04 other organizations as well.
39:05 So talk to us. I was reading one here.
39:06 You're in with the U.S. Embassy, the UN,
39:10 and other organizations as well.
39:13 And talk to us about this mental health initiative
39:15 that you guys are doing.
39:17 Because that one really touched home.
39:18 You know, I understand that the mental health crisis,
39:22 it's worldwide.
39:23 So obviously it's also affecting people there
39:26 in Trinidad and Tobago since Covid.
39:29 So talk to us a little about the connective networking
39:32 that you're doing with these embassies and with these
39:34 other organizations, and about the mental health
39:36 initiative as well.
39:38 We network with the U.S. Embassy, and they
39:40 have community-based projects where they go out
39:43 far and wide to reach children, any family.
39:46 Sometimes we do special projects like assisting an elderly home.
39:50 If you're home needs rebuilding, or if the community needs
39:54 some sort of place for children to play or children to be,
40:00 we go and we assist them in whatever capacity we can,
40:03 in volunteers.
40:05 We connect with the United Nations where they help
40:08 Venezuelan refugees.
40:10 And we have much more projects we do with them.
40:14 When it comes to mental health in our island,
40:16 because of the Covid aspect, a lot of children were at home.
40:22 And being confined to your home is not something that
40:27 they are accustomed to.
40:28 And some people are aware that they are depressed,
40:31 or they have stress issues.
40:34 And it is now coming out in the schools.
40:38 A lot of schools are
40:40 experiencing violence in children.
40:42 Some schools are being shut down because violence is so great
40:45 against children among themselves,
40:48 and it's also going with the teachers as well.
40:50 So teachers are frightened, so afraid of their lives
40:54 because children are coming in there and you don't know
40:57 what they're experiencing in their minds.
40:59 So we try to connect with the children, and more so the
41:03 parents to guide them.
41:04 3ABN has fantastic presentations
41:07 on dealing with mental health issues.
41:10 And that is something not just because of Covid, right,
41:14 but throughout your life sometimes you're not knowing
41:17 that you are depressed or you have any mental aspect
41:20 of your life from childhood, or what be.
41:22 And when you listen to these programs on 3ABN,
41:24 you would just say, "Wow, I can connect with that.
41:27 I can relate to these events."
41:29 And that's just one aspect.
41:32 The Ministry of Health, we want to reconnect with them
41:34 and go out into the community and let people know
41:37 the programs that we have that can actually help
41:40 their families, their children, every single body as well.
41:44 That's powerful, man.
41:46 Because we, especially here, you know, where I live in the
41:48 United States, we see this every single day.
41:50 And more and more organizations are starting to bring about
41:53 awareness of this mental health crisis we have on our hands.
41:56 It's a crisis in a sense that, you know, many, many people
41:59 are dealing with some type of mental health disorder
42:02 or mental health handicap of some kind.
42:06 And to see that you guys are addressing that, and it's,
42:09 you know, helping the people there in Trinidad and Tobago,
42:12 especially these children, man, that's powerful, it's powerful.
42:16 So it's a blessing to see you guys doing that.
42:19 Let's talk...
42:20 We have some more pictures here.
42:22 I think we have some pictures of your supporters.
42:24 Maybe you can talk to us a little bit about it.
42:27 Let's bring those pictures up of your supporters,
42:29 and tell us a little bit about this.
42:30 This gentleman, he is a true supporter of 3ABN.
42:34 He allows us to have a table with our
42:36 "Ten Commandments" books, and others.
42:38 So he has a lot of customers coming.
42:42 He's called, Gifted Hands, in his community.
42:47 This lady, we met her when we were on the north coast
42:50 at the beachside.
42:52 And she just got so excited to know, "3ABN is in Trinidad?"
42:56 We said, "Yes."
42:57 And we gave her one.
42:59 And during the time of Covid, we want to recognize
43:04 and honor our wonderful pioneer volunteer, Deborah.
43:12 It's sad that during that time in her business
43:16 there was Covid, and she did not recover from it, unfortunately.
43:21 It was such a great loss for us as a team.
43:26 Her husband and her daughter are doing their best to
43:30 recover from the loss of Deborah.
43:35 And we just want to say she's a great loss to us.
43:39 She had been a tremendous support to us.
43:42 When we were out in the community, she would get up by
43:44 3:00 in the morning and prepare meals for the entire team.
43:49 She would come at our little warehouse and help us.
43:54 And then much more things that she used to do,
43:56 she and her husband, and including her daughter as well.
43:59 ~ Praise the Lord.
44:00 Praise God for the supporters and those who believe
44:03 in the gospel message and the gospel commission
44:06 that we have, that God has given us
44:07 to get the gospel out there.
44:08 And sometimes it's not just sharing the Word,
44:11 even though, yes, we share the Word of God,
44:12 and it's our job to share the Word of God,
44:14 sometimes people need to see the Word of God
44:17 taking place and in action in your life.
44:19 And that's what you guys are doing.
44:20 So praise the Lord for what you're doing there.
44:22 I know I'm seeing, I'm looking back on my list here.
44:25 We have many, many pictures for this hour,
44:27 and I love the pictures because it helps
44:29 give a visual of what you guys are doing there.
44:31 There's a number of pictures here that we're going to show
44:34 in regards to a second project that young guys have done.
44:37 Why don't you lead us through that
44:39 as we look at these pictures.
44:40 ~ Certainly.
44:41 We were part of a beach cleanup on the Mayaro coast
44:45 on the eastern side of the island.
44:48 A lot of our volunteers, they just love to do community work
44:51 and help the environment, help others.
44:54 And in this aspect, when we clean the beach up,
44:57 turtles can come and hatch.
45:00 This is one of the colonels from the U.S. Embassy.
45:05 And we were part and parcel of their health fairs that they had
45:10 throughout the island.
45:11 They only allowed us to be there.
45:14 We shared 3ABN with people who came there.
45:18 And thousands and thousands of people came.
45:21 We also were part of sports day with the Venezuelans
45:27 in our community.
45:28 We also work together with
45:31 the Woodbrook Seventh-day Adventist Church
45:33 to uplift a children's home called, Princesses of Belrum.
45:37 And we not just painted the entire compound,
45:42 we did an entire facelift to the community.
45:45 One aspect of this is that there were tons of wheelchairs
45:49 in an upper room, and they tried to have that removed.
45:52 And in doing that, we got volunteers to come
45:56 with a 20 feet bin, and we just dropped the wheelchairs in.
46:02 And when the directors came and they saw that,
46:05 they were just so amazed to know that here's what
46:09 we have been waiting for so many months
46:11 to have these wheelchairs moved,
46:12 to help these children in the communities as well.
46:14 The pictures you've seen as well is a lot of those supporters.
46:18 Doctor and Pastor Clive Dottin.
46:20 He is a legend on our island, well known.
46:22 He's well-known, well loved, well respected.
46:26 And he loves 3ABN and he would support 3ABN.
46:29 We have done projects with him in dealing with crime.
46:32 Crime is really out of control in our island.
46:38 And we want to share what we offer on 3ABN to people
46:43 across the island and let them know that God is love.
46:47 And if you have the love of God in you,
46:49 you will not commit any acts of crime or anything.
46:53 So there are many people.
46:54 And there was Michelle and Morita in Rio Claro
46:59 on the south side of the island.
47:02 There are so many aspects of projects:
47:05 community, to the ground.
47:06 We reach people where they are, where they're hurting.
47:10 Mending broken people.
47:11 ~ That's right, brother. - Mending broken people.
47:15 People have to understand we're broken because of sin.
47:17 And when you reach people where they are,
47:20 it connects with them.
47:22 And the Holy Spirit takes it from there.
47:25 We're called to catch the fish.
47:27 Not to scale it or to clean it.
47:29 That's the Holy Spirit's job.
47:31 So our job is to let you know, we're here to help you.
47:36 So we give them opportunity and the options.
47:39 Here's what, we can bless you by just watching 3ABN.
47:42 And people will just say, "Who is 3ABN?"
47:45 "What is 3ABN?"
47:47 I say, "I'm glad you asked."
47:48 And then we tell them all that we offer,
47:51 and a whole lot more.
47:52 ~ Amen. Praise the Lord, brother.
47:54 You guys have done some amazing things.
47:58 And it's very clear.
47:59 I want to just say a special thank you to you, Rodney,
48:01 and all the volunteers in Trinidad and Tobago.
48:04 I hope you guys see this program.
48:05 And I hope you know that we appreciate
48:07 and we are seeing, even though we are several thousand miles
48:10 apart, we're hearing, we're seeing, and we're recognizing
48:13 the work that you guys are doing there.
48:14 We just praise God for the Holy Spirit that's working through
48:18 you to reach out to other people who are in need.
48:20 Because that's what the gospel is all about.
48:21 It's one thing, yes, to share the Word.
48:24 And we should share the Word, we should be sowing seeds,
48:26 and we should be proclaiming the gospel message.
48:28 But it's a whole other thing to be able to live that out,
48:31 and to see it in the lives, and to see the love of God
48:34 transforming hearts and lives from what it is that you're
48:37 actually doing to affect someone.
48:39 So thank you, guys, so much for all that you do.
48:41 And we just praise God and we know that God is going to
48:44 continue to use you guys.
48:46 We're running down, we've got about 3 minutes left
48:48 in this main portion before we have our final words.
48:51 But I understand that you guys have some plans for the future.
48:55 And I thought that 100,000 books was a lot, but I'm looking at
49:00 here a much larger number of this "Focus on Truth" booklets
49:04 initiative that you guys have planned for 2023.
49:07 So tell us a little bit about that.
49:08 We're embarking on one of the largest mission projects ever
49:11 on our island with 300,000 "Focus on Truth" booklets:
49:16 Truth About Hell, Truth About Salvation,
49:19 Truth About the Ten Commandments.
49:21 These books written by Danny Shelton are amazing.
49:24 Simple little booklets that people can just read.
49:27 They can also download them from the 3ABN website
49:30 and read it.
49:32 And so we are going to bring that 300,000 pretty soon.
49:35 It has been donated by 3ABN to the island
49:39 of Trinidad and Tobago.
49:40 And it's such a fantastic mission opportunity.
49:44 And we want to let the volunteers know,
49:46 and want to let the people of the island know that
49:48 we need their support.
49:50 Shipping cost has increased tremendously.
49:54 So that raises the bar of what we can afford.
49:57 And so we would love people to support us in that aspect.
50:00 - Yes. ~Yes, absolutely.
50:02 In fact, you guys are going to see this in just a little while.
50:05 I'm just pulling this up right here real quick.
50:07 Not because you're going to be able to see it very
50:09 clearly on my big iPad here, but maybe you can a little bit.
50:12 So you just go to 3ABN.tv and you're going to see this
50:15 in just a few moments as they pull up the address roll
50:19 where you can go, but this is the main website for 3ABN.
50:23 So 3ABN.tv, and when you get onto the mail website,
50:26 up in the far right-hand corner there's a donate tab.
50:29 So if you click on the donate tab there,
50:31 it will pull up this second screen here
50:33 where you can make a donation to 3ABN's main ministry.
50:36 Or if you go down and scroll down, you'll see
50:39 all of these individual tabs right here.
50:41 And the number you want to look for if you want to support
50:44 the effort for Trinidad and Tobago and what Rodney is
50:48 leading out in there at the 3ABN ministry
50:50 to the wonderful people in Trinidad and Tobago,
50:52 you want to go to number 394.
50:55 I believe on my list it's right there at the top right.
50:58 It's in the second column on my iPad here.
51:00 I'm not sure how it will appear on your screen,
51:02 but number 394, that's the one you want to look at.
51:05 And you want to find it, click that donate tab,
51:08 and you can donate to this wonderful cause.
51:11 Rodney, I'm just thrilled with what you guys are doing.
51:15 It's such a blessing to see what the Lord
51:16 is doing, the 3ABN ministry is able to do
51:20 to help the wonderful people of Trinidad and Tobago.
51:22 It's not just about, again, proclaiming the Word,
51:25 because that's a powerful way of witnessing,
51:27 but also living it out, showing it, and taking the love of God
51:31 to the people and meeting them where they are.
51:33 My friends, if you want to support this ministry,
51:35 I encourage you to.
51:36 Help get the gospel to the people in Trinidad and Tobago.
51:40 So wherever you are, it's right here.
51:42 You can go online, you can call us up and find out
51:45 more information, and this is how you do it.
