01:00 Mending broken people
01:14 Hello
01:15 and welcome to another 3ABN Today program.
01:17 We're so very glad that you have joined us today.
01:20 And we look forward to spending this one hour
01:22 with you each and every day.
01:24 Why is that?
01:25 Well, because you're part of our family.
01:26 It's just great to be able to connect with you
01:28 and share what the Lord Jesus Christ
01:30 is doing through the ministry of 3ABN.
01:33 Thank you so much for your prayers
01:35 and financial support
01:36 because you are making a difference in the world.
01:39 Matthew 24:14 says,
01:41 "And this gospel of the Kingdom
01:43 shall be preached in all the world."
01:46 Praise the Lord for that.
01:47 Sweetheart, we're going to another place of the world
01:49 today, but right here in Southern Illinois.
01:51 How's that possible?
01:53 Because we have our family.
01:54 We do.
01:55 We love it when we can bring you Today programs
01:57 that feature especially what God is doing
02:00 in and through the ministry of 3ABN all over the world.
02:04 And we have some of our favorite
02:06 3ABN family here with us today.
02:08 This is, of course,
02:10 we call them our Russian angels.
02:11 I love it.
02:12 Now God led Danny to begin with Dr. Julie Outkina,
02:18 3ABN Russia almost 30 years ago in 1992.
02:22 And it has grown and expanded
02:24 since then and they are reaching the world
02:26 in the Russian language 24/7 in amazing ways.
02:30 So we're going to give you an update
02:32 and hear just a little bit of their heart today,
02:34 what God is doing in and through 3ABN Russia.
02:37 Yeah, absolutely.
02:38 As you mentioned, part of the family,
02:40 you and I've had the privilege of being there
02:42 going to Russia several times
02:44 and what an incredible experience.
02:46 I remember back in the early mid 90s.
02:49 And I heard 3ABN,
02:51 Mr. Danny talking about Dr. Julie Outkina,
02:54 and about what was happening there in Russia
02:56 and how excited he was.
02:57 And I remember my sister
02:58 and I sending a little bit of money,
03:00 whatever we could to 3ABN to help support
03:02 the work that was going on in Russia.
03:04 And we know many of you have and continue
03:07 to support 3ABN's work there in Russia.
03:10 Thank you very much.
03:12 Without any further ado, let's introduce our family.
03:13 Yes.
03:15 We have our sister, Dr. Julie Outkina,
03:17 who's the executive director of 3ABN Russia,
03:20 and we love you.
03:22 You have mentored us.
03:23 Amen.
03:24 And the ministry here at 3ABN,
03:26 you're doing amazing job there in Russia.
03:27 I'm just so glad you're here.
03:29 Thank you so much.
03:30 You, Greg and Jill are my wonderful example.
03:35 Danny has always been and now you are my inspiration,
03:39 you are my encouragement
03:42 and you are an inspiration and encouragement
03:46 to the whole of 3ABN Russia.
03:48 Thank you so much. Praise the Lord.
03:49 Yeah, we appreciate you so much,
03:51 you know, for your dedication through all the years
03:53 because life's not easy.
03:54 No.
03:55 You know, and, of course, Satan likes
03:57 to oppose the work of the Lord
03:59 and seems to cause difficulties,
04:00 but you continue to press on.
04:02 What an encouragement, inspiration to us.
04:04 Thank you so much.
04:05 Praise the Lord. Amen.
04:07 Sitting next to you is another sister.
04:08 That's right.
04:09 This is Angela Buzina.
04:11 And we met you, I'm trying to think,
04:12 if the first time we met you was when we went to Russia
04:16 or if you came here first
04:18 to the United States before?
04:23 Yeah, she thinks when she came here
04:25 to the United States.
04:27 Okay.
04:28 And then we went a few years later year,
04:29 yeah, to Russia.
04:31 That's great.
04:32 So you've been a part of 3ABN Russia
04:33 for how many years?
04:41 Oh, she believes, it'll be four years in July.
04:44 Wow.
04:46 Praise the Lord.
04:47 We're going to hear just a little bit about
04:48 what she does for 3ABN Russia
04:50 and a little bit of her testimony.
04:52 And then last but not least, is Vadim Trusyuk,
04:56 and you are production manager there for 3ABN Russia.
04:59 And we've met you
05:01 and spend some time together too
05:03 and you are a brother and just so glad you're here.
05:05 Thank you.
05:10 I worked with 3ABN Russia for over 15 years.
05:13 Wow.
05:16 And it's not my first visit to 3ABN in the years.
05:24 And each time when I come,
05:26 I'm amazed at the people here at 3ABN.
05:31 And I'm amazed at people in general.
05:37 I love this country.
05:42 It is my honor to be here among you.
05:46 Praise the Lord.
05:47 And it's exciting to see what's happening there too,
05:49 which I think we're going to talk more about that
05:51 because while you're here,
05:52 we're working on some equipment
05:53 because you have a brand new control room
05:56 that's going, been developed
05:58 and put together there in Russia.
06:00 And I just have to say, we've seen many videos
06:02 and you're going to see some videos today,
06:04 some pictures, isn't that right, Dr. Julie?
06:05 Yes. Okay.
06:06 And some more updates to what's happening
06:08 but when we're there, it's amazing
06:09 because they are so resourceful
06:11 and are such great stewards
06:13 of the funds that you support 3ABN Russia with,
06:17 and to just see them building this control room,
06:20 Vadim and many of the other workers
06:21 they're in there too.
06:22 You see him in a suit, and a tie,
06:24 and a nice white shirt.
06:25 Well, I've seen video with him with,
06:28 yeah, and what we would call more work clothes,
06:30 he's in like jeans and a shirt and they're there painting,
06:34 doing the fabrication.
06:36 You're in that building and hammering too.
06:43 I keep remembering,
06:45 famous phrase that Mollie Steenson once said.
06:53 She said, "I'm here at 3ABN"
06:55 and at that time she was vice president.
06:57 So she said, "I'm here second after Danny."
07:03 But when there is need,
07:04 I change my clothes and I go and clean the bathroom.
07:17 And this is how 3ABN Russia is
07:19 when there is need then they stand up
07:22 from their working places,
07:23 from their computers or from their cameras,
07:26 and they change their clothes
07:27 and they just go and do everything
07:29 that's needed to be done.
07:40 We have very many funny pictures
07:42 when someone in working clothes just all,
07:45 you know in dusty,
07:48 but he needs to do something in his computer.
07:51 So he just runs to his working place
07:53 all in inappropriate attire
07:56 and we just take pictures of that
07:57 because those are funny moments.
07:59 Amen.
08:00 Thank you all for your dedications.
08:03 It's amazing to me what 3ABN Russia does,
08:05 the creativity, the gifts
08:07 that your team has is just incredible.
08:09 When we went there, it just blew our mind.
08:11 Not only their hospitality and their warmth,
08:14 how well they took care of us,
08:15 but also just what God is doing
08:18 there in Russia is amazing.
08:19 So let's hear just a little bit of your own journey.
08:22 What brought you to 3ABN Russia and your walk with God?
08:26 And, Angela, can we start with you?
08:33 My way to God started from my childhood.
08:42 I was about six months old
08:44 when my parents started attending
08:46 Pastor John Carter's meetings in Nizhny Novgorod.
08:51 That is a very special moment in the life of our family.
08:59 And since then I've been in church.
09:08 I praise the Lord
09:09 that I have a desire to serve in my church.
09:23 Because at a teenage, when a person is a teenager,
09:27 then it may be difficult to make a decision
09:30 to stay in church.
09:31 But she has never had any desire
09:35 to leave the church.
09:36 She has always wanted to be in church.
09:41 I first ministered in the children's department.
09:49 And then I met one of the workers of 3ABN Russia.
09:53 You know him.
09:54 Yes.
09:55 Yeah.
09:57 Daniel?
09:58 Yes. Yes.
09:59 Oh, yeah, he's been here at several many times.
10:01 That's correct.
10:07 We discussed a lot his work at 3ABN Russia.
10:17 And a moment came in my life when I was looking for a job.
10:32 Because my previous job didn't satisfy me
10:34 in the meaning that
10:35 I was not bringing any good to society
10:40 by working at that place.
10:43 Not making any difference.
10:49 She was an administrator in a secular company.
11:04 And then I came to 3ABN Russia at Daniel's suggestion
11:08 and try myself there.
11:20 And I said, "How can I be useful there?
11:24 I don't have education in this field.
11:27 I don't know how to tape the videotape.
11:30 I don't know how to add it.
11:31 I don't know anything in that profession,
11:35 because my education is Economics."
11:44 But I have always been
11:46 very much interested in photography,
11:52 and Photoshop program and others.
12:01 And so I was encouraged
12:03 that I can master the video also.
12:06 Daniel said, "Why don't you try it?"
12:08 Good.
12:11 And so I tried.
12:21 And I don't regret.
12:23 I'm happy that I undertook this profession,
12:35 because what I do at 3ABN Russia
12:38 is much more than just a job.
12:47 And I'm also involved in media ministry in church.
13:00 And now my work at 3ABN Russia,
13:03 my ministry to the people through church,
13:05 this is one whole thing not divided.
13:09 Amen.
13:18 And I'm happy that my certain capabilities
13:22 that my certain gifts that God has given me
13:26 and ability to learn.
13:32 With the God's help,
13:33 I direct into the right direction.
13:40 So I feel happy
13:42 that this is happening in my life.
13:45 It's amazing.
13:47 Yeah, it is.
13:49 Amen.
13:50 It's incredible,
13:52 you know, we can attest to her photography skills.
13:55 She's an amazing photographer,
13:57 and you do video editing as well.
14:00 I remember when we went to Russia,
14:02 I think it was the first time.
14:03 Angela, as soon as we come off the plane,
14:05 here she was taking pictures of everyone.
14:06 And we thought, "Oh,
14:08 she's just documenting the experience."
14:10 And then at the very end,
14:13 you all stayed up all night
14:14 to put together these books for us
14:16 with the pictures printed out of our journey
14:18 and our time there in Russia.
14:20 Amen, beautiful.
14:21 But you have an amazing heart for people,
14:24 and to be able to use that in ministry
14:27 and to put those gifts
14:28 such that other people are blessed is amazing.
14:33 You know, I think it's a testimony
14:35 to someone that is willing when God calls to just listen.
14:40 Because you could say, okay, I have...
14:41 Well, you have no education.
14:43 Right? No educationalist field.
14:44 But, okay, God's calling,
14:46 He's asking us to be willing vessels.
14:48 That's what He's asking all of us.
14:50 You are, you are, you are, we are, you are too at home
14:53 when God calls you just say yes.
14:56 Don't say, "Well, I don't have this.
14:57 I don't have that."
14:59 You know what, just go,
15:00 because when God calls, He'll provide.
15:02 And thank you for listening to the call of God.
15:13 It's good to be open only to...
15:17 also to the...
15:19 when God speaks to you through other people
15:21 because He uses circumstances,
15:23 He uses other people,
15:24 so it's good to listen to people.
15:26 That's good.
15:27 Amen.
15:29 What about your journey, Vadim?
15:34 I can say that I haven't come to church.
15:39 I was brought into church in hands.
15:44 I was carried into church.
15:48 By your mother and father?
15:54 Because I'm a Seventh-day Adventist
15:56 in several generations.
16:06 In our family, my grandfather,
16:11 my great grandfather
16:13 lived through a very difficult life
16:15 of persecution.
16:16 Under communism.
16:18 Yes.
16:20 They all were ministers, church pastors.
16:29 My great grandfather was exiled
16:32 to some faraway island in Siberia for 10 years.
16:37 That place is called Taymyr.
16:44 Because he was a pastor in church
16:46 and he clung to his church, to his beliefs.
16:52 He didn't want to give up and so.
17:02 Then my grandfather was a pastor also,
17:05 and for six years he was also in exile.
17:17 Then my parents in the years
17:19 of the Soviet Union for their beliefs,
17:22 for their faith were persecuted also.
17:24 They felt pressure.
17:29 They would be fired from their work.
17:38 They would be made fun of or mocked
17:42 in front of the co-workers
17:47 or in front of school when they were schoolchildren.
18:00 But in spite of these or probably thanks to all this,
18:04 their faithfulness, their faith only grew
18:08 and this is why I'm in church.
18:11 Wow.
18:17 My father is a minister too.
18:18 And in my childhood when we're very little.
18:25 We came to Nizhny,
18:28 to our city, to 3ABN Russian Evangelism Center.
18:37 And we were little kids at that time
18:40 and, of course, children would run around
18:43 in all the hidden places in the building.
18:49 But that part where 3ABN Russia studios were,
18:53 it was always locked.
18:57 We will always look through the windows,
18:59 what's going on there.
19:02 This is what all children...
19:03 Me too. You too.
19:05 Kids did. Her too.
19:10 And when I grew up.
19:15 My dad came as a pastor to Nizhny Novgorod.
19:21 And I started
19:24 in a college.
19:28 And I started looking for a job.
19:43 And the first place where I went to was 3ABN Russia
19:47 because both work and ministry
19:51 in one place is your highest dream.
19:54 Amen.
19:56 Absolutely.
19:59 I started as a cameraman.
20:03 I was the floor director.
20:08 Then I started to be a director, a video director.
20:16 And then my administrative responsibilities
20:18 were added.
20:22 I was studying how to be an administrator.
20:29 Then video archive and radio archive.
20:38 Video library, like...
20:43 Radio library, library of all the programs.
20:46 Okay. Sure.
20:57 And so now for about five or six years,
21:01 I'm a production manager.
21:03 Amen.
21:05 And doing a very good job.
21:06 Yes. Praise the Lord.
21:07 He that is faithful
21:09 in that which is least is faithful
21:10 also in much, you know?
21:11 Starting with camera
21:13 and then transitioning to other responsibilities,
21:15 so praise the Lord.
21:16 Amen. Yeah.
21:17 Thank you for your dedication to the work of the Lord.
21:20 And probably you never thought as a little kid running around
21:25 that you would end up working there
21:27 and have the position you have now.
21:29 It's neat how the Lord leads in one's life for sure.
21:33 Amen.
21:34 Sister Julie, I just have to comment on this.
21:36 You know, I think about the translation
21:37 that you're doing right now.
21:40 Tell us how you've learned English
21:41 because it's so good.
21:43 You know, and I know it's part of the story,
21:44 and I know Mr. Danny talks about that,
21:45 but just gives a little bit of your testimony
21:47 briefly of how the Lord has led in your life?
21:51 I learned to be a teacher of English there in Russia
21:54 and I became a teacher of English.
21:57 It was under communism, correct?
21:59 Oh, yes, it was under communism.
22:01 And I was 39 when Pastor John Carter
22:05 jointly with 3ABN came to my city,
22:08 Nizhny Novgorod.
22:09 And my reason for going to those meetings
22:12 was to listen to English
22:13 because I have never heard any person
22:18 whose mother's tongue is English talk.
22:21 So this is why I went,
22:25 and then the Lord penetrate my heart
22:30 with His message of love,
22:33 with His message of acceptance,
22:35 of accepting me the way I am,
22:38 and being willing to change me
22:41 to make me new and just...
22:46 Yeah.
22:48 So English is the reason
22:50 why I started going to the meetings.
22:53 And then I had such a good use of English
22:56 because 3ABN was looking for...
23:00 3ABN had John Canter as a supervisor
23:03 of the construction
23:04 of 3ABN Russia Evangelism Center,
23:06 and they needed a translator.
23:08 And the Lord, in a miraculous way,
23:11 led me to a meeting of Danny
23:13 with the conference people about this,
23:16 and the translator who was supposed to be there
23:19 just couldn't come.
23:21 And so I was invited by chance
23:23 and Danny invited me to work
23:25 at 3ABN Russia right at that meeting.
23:27 Amen.
23:28 That's divine providence.
23:30 It is. Yeah.
23:31 God orchestrated the events
23:32 because He saw down the stream of time,
23:34 there would be 3ABN Russia that you would be needed,
23:38 your English skills,
23:39 your heart for God, your organization,
23:41 your creativity, to be the executive director,
23:44 and then each one of you would be there
23:46 as well as the rest of the 3ABN Russia team.
23:49 That's amazing.
23:50 That's amazing. The Lord is amazing.
23:52 I would never believe if someone told me
23:56 that such an amazing ministry
23:59 would be in Russia that it would flourish so much
24:03 that it would reach so many people
24:05 with the Lord's message
24:07 and with the amazing media resources,
24:12 amazing media opportunities.
24:17 I wouldn't believe that.
24:19 The Lord does miraculous things,
24:20 you know, just making ourselves available
24:22 to what He wants us to do.
24:23 And I know we've got some videos
24:25 we want to go to.
24:26 You want to go to one of those now
24:27 or do you want to wait?
24:29 Oh, yes, with me.
24:30 Yeah, okay. Yes.
24:31 Probably before that we may mention
24:33 how many stations we're on.
24:34 Let's do that.
24:36 Yeah, how big 3ABN Russia is, let's do that.
24:37 3ABN Russia is big.
24:38 It just started with a small, small, small
24:40 ministry of several people,
24:42 and only one station there take us there
24:46 that take our programming in 1993,
24:49 and then they started receiving up
24:51 to 1000 letters a week.
24:53 And they said, "Wow, you're more popular
24:55 than any central channels here."
24:57 Wow, praise the Lord.
24:58 And now we are on 547 stations around Russia.
25:04 We are on two...
25:06 This is a cable company.
25:07 Yes. We are on two Russian satellites.
25:09 And thank you 3ABN and the viewers of 3ABN
25:12 who make our satellite broadcasting possible
25:14 because it costs a lot of money.
25:16 And so over 500 cable companies receive our signal
25:21 and rebroadcast it in their areas.
25:25 And it covers over 3,600 cities and towns of Russia.
25:30 We don't know how many people or how many millions of people,
25:34 but we know that the potentially
25:36 those are millions and millions of people
25:39 who watch these programs.
25:40 Amen.
25:41 And we have 13,000 video programs.
25:45 We have 11 over, over 11,000 radio programs,
25:49 and our programming is so diverse.
25:51 We have Bible studies, practical theology.
25:55 We are not that big in,
25:57 you know, just theological discussions,
25:59 but we make the theological issues
26:02 practical for people.
26:05 Programs on relations, on family,
26:07 programs for children, programs for youth,
26:10 programs on health, against addictions,
26:13 programs on music, nature, history, culture,
26:17 so many of them.
26:19 And we have brought today...
26:22 We haven't been in Russia
26:24 due to these recent circumstances
26:26 for over two years.
26:28 So today we have decided to bring to you for this visit,
26:32 and praise the Lord that it could happen.
26:35 The new programs that we created,
26:37 developed, produced during the past two years.
26:39 Wow!
26:41 We didn't have much time to prepare,
26:42 so I'll have to comment upon them
26:44 while we watch, so.
26:46 And this took place during COVID.
26:47 You're recording new programs amidst of COVID.
26:49 Praise the Lord, it didn't stop you all.
26:51 No, praise the Lord.
26:52 Yeah, we praise the Lord.
26:54 Should we go to the video now then, you can, okay.
26:55 Yes, before we go to the video,
26:57 I want to say that it has an open.
26:59 And there in the open
27:00 it speaks about 37 years of 3ABN
27:04 and Russia is 29 years of those 37.
27:07 Amen.
27:08 Praise the Lord Yeah,
27:10 and that open highlights some special moments
27:12 of 3ABN and 3ABN Russia together.
27:15 And then right after the open is over,
27:18 I will start commenting upon different segments
27:21 of the new programs developed
27:22 during the past two years.
27:23 Excellent.
27:25 Okay, let's go to that role right now.
28:04 So one of the new programs that we have created,
28:06 it is called unanswered.net In Russian,
28:11 the word Nyet means no.
28:13 So the name of this new series means,
28:16 at 3ABN Russia there are no unanswered requests,
28:20 prayer request, letters, telephone calls.
28:23 This is a new inter program graphics fill a series
28:27 with our viewers prayer requests.
28:30 We received them from Russian speaking people
28:32 from every corner of the globe.
28:34 Wow.
28:35 Thus we join with our viewers in their petitions to heaven,
28:39 for health, for good relations, for their financial problems,
28:43 for their children, for their work,
28:45 for strengthening faith, and for much more.
28:48 Amen.
28:49 I love that program.
28:51 Yeah.
28:52 Here's another one during these past two years,
28:55 it's called Memory of Generations.
28:57 And as you can see from the pictures,
29:00 it's dedicated to May the 9th Victory Day,
29:04 which is a memorial day of the end
29:06 of the Second World War for Russia.
29:09 Church members are taped in these programs,
29:12 who talk about their childhood during the war,
29:15 the heroism of their families,
29:17 their dedication to what they were doing.
29:20 Only our memory, the memory of generations
29:24 will help to remember the heroes
29:27 and always strive for peace.
29:29 Here is another program.
29:30 It is about the Passion Week, Christ our Passover.
29:34 Past year, we taped and aired live
29:38 pastors of our conference
29:40 during each respective day of the Passion Week,
29:43 as they're described in the Bible.
29:45 And we did it on the week
29:48 that precedes Russian Orthodox Easter.
29:50 So every day they show one of these programs,
29:53 according to the Bible,
29:55 the entry of Christ into Jerusalem,
29:57 the expulsion of the merchants from the table,
29:59 and so on, from the temple.
30:02 And here is another new program.
30:04 This is a graphic series
30:06 that is made as a Bible Dictionary.
30:08 The meaning of various Bible concepts
30:12 are presented in a text form,
30:15 with a voiceover illustrated by Bible texts and by pictures.
30:20 We chose those Bible terms
30:23 that help our viewers to understand
30:25 God's beautiful plan of salvation.
30:28 And it is becoming more and more popular
30:30 with our viewers.
30:31 Amen.
30:33 Another program, again, you see 3ABN Russia Evangelism Center.
30:36 We've developed a new series of programs
30:38 with these graphics,
30:40 where we offer viewers a variety of live sermons
30:43 recorded during Sabbath worship services
30:46 at 3ABN Russia Evangelism Center.
30:49 Among the preachers are pastors, elders,
30:52 the leaders of Seventh-day Adventist Church in Russia.
30:55 So we just use these sermons for the people to know
31:00 what the Protestant Church,
31:01 what an Adventist Church is all about,
31:03 how it has its worship services,
31:06 what messages it preaches.
31:09 Praise the Lord.
31:10 Yeah, a good program.
31:14 This would be something maybe as 3ABN Worship Hour
31:16 or something similar.
31:17 Yeah.
31:19 Absolutely, a weekly church service.
31:20 Yes. I love that.
31:21 Yeah, another one.
31:23 It's called A Word For This Hour.
31:25 Multiple events that happen around change the world
31:29 that people have been used to live in,
31:31 how to respond, give into panic,
31:34 try to ignore the changes.
31:37 What does the Holy Scriptures tell us
31:40 about various crises and disasters?
31:43 How can we maintain moral courage and common sense?
31:46 The program assures the viewers about the Lord's faithfulness.
31:52 Here's another one and another new program.
31:54 It's called The Territory of Reality.
31:57 It is a talk show for youth.
31:59 Here's Vadim hosting it,
32:00 he opened every one of those programs.
32:03 And we have live audience with young people
32:06 and we have pastors, Christian psychologists,
32:10 and sociologists as our guest,
32:12 musicians and different other specialists,
32:17 pastors, health specialists.
32:19 We discussed the issues
32:20 that confront young adults today.
32:23 Another one,
32:25 which is Jill's favorite I think,
32:27 it is called I Can And You Will Be Able To.
32:32 It is a youth series to learn a vast variety of skills.
32:36 In these programs,
32:38 experts in their field teach how to play guitar,
32:41 make desserts, take pictures, sing,
32:45 also viewers will be able to develop
32:47 some grafting techniques like scrapbooking, patchwork,
32:51 soap making, landscape design.
32:54 The programs are produced to attract young people
32:58 to watch our channel
32:59 and see how practical and beneficial it is.
33:01 Yeah, that's great.
33:03 Another one, it is called Reviving Russia.
33:06 Russia is a multi-national, multi-religious
33:08 and multi-cultural country.
33:11 Our history remembers numerous conflicts,
33:14 as well as great examples of consolidation.
33:17 How to keep peace
33:18 and promote the development of society
33:21 in every aspect of life.
33:23 Reviving Russia is a program about religious freedom,
33:26 interfaith dialogue and spiritual values.
33:29 Amen.
33:31 And that's hosted by Valery.
33:32 I see Valery. Yeah, yeah.
33:33 That's right.
33:35 And another one, which we do like
33:37 is called the Angles Of The Events.
33:39 It is an informational analytical program,
33:44 which talks about actual and important news
33:48 of social and religious life of our country.
33:52 And we have a host, our worker Maria,
33:55 and a pastor, who comments
33:57 upon different events that happen or...
34:00 Here's another pastor.
34:01 Here's an interview outside in the streets.
34:05 These are some special events,
34:08 some special holidays at 3ABN Russia.
34:11 So these are the new programs
34:15 that we developed during the past two years.
34:17 I just want to say, all in two years.
34:20 I know. Praise the Lord.
34:21 Wow, that's incredible.
34:26 And we develop them
34:30 alongside with recording our current series,
34:34 which we've already developed
34:36 and just which were on the air already.
34:40 That makes me tired just thinking about that.
34:42 Yeah, that's a lot of work.
34:44 I was trying to count and then I lost count.
34:45 Was it eight, nine new programs in the last two years?
34:47 One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
34:51 Ten? Yeah.
34:53 Plus everything else that you're normally doing.
34:55 Yeah, that's incredible.
34:56 Praise the Lord.
34:57 But they're practical, they're relevant,
34:59 current events, scriptural, biblical.
35:01 I love that.
35:03 Great job.
35:07 Even when pandemic came to Russia.
35:15 Of course, there came restrictions
35:17 to what we could do.
35:26 But when we summed up our results
35:28 because we sent our reports to Jill weekly
35:32 about our accomplishments.
35:40 We were amazed to see that at that difficult time,
35:44 God allowed us to do more
35:46 than we would usually accomplish
35:48 during the same amount of time.
35:49 Wow, praise the Lord.
35:51 Yeah, praise the Lord.
35:53 Slava Boga.
35:54 Very good. Praise God.
35:55 We have another video to go to, but I have several questions.
35:59 Sister Julie, how large is the staff of 3ABN Russia?
36:03 We have 32 full-time positions,
36:07 which are comprised of 26 full-time workers
36:12 and I believe six part-time workers,
36:14 which all together make 32.
36:16 Okay.
36:17 How many studios do you have?
36:19 Well, we have one studio, and we have another smaller one
36:23 for which we're building a control room.
36:24 That's right.
36:26 So we even didn't have a separate control room
36:28 for another studio.
36:29 So actually, there was one control room
36:31 and two studios, one major one and one small one.
36:35 How many people help in production
36:36 or what's your production staff,
36:38 like camera, video director?
36:43 We have two camera people.
36:45 We have two video directors and they exchange their roles.
36:49 So sometimes the same person is a video director
36:51 and then the same person is a camera person,
36:54 then a sound person.
36:55 So I don't know, five or six.
36:57 Five or six people.
36:59 Well, that's incredible.
37:00 Yeah, but of course, as far as program development,
37:02 we try to pay attention to that.
37:04 And so we have a certain amount of workers,
37:07 who are...
37:09 We call them editors or producers,
37:12 so who think on how to create, how to produce.
37:16 Amen.
37:17 I know we want to talk about YouTube as well.
37:19 Sister, do you want to talk about that now
37:20 or do you want to put YouTube
37:22 something new that 3ABN Russia is doing?
37:23 Do you want to talk about that part now?
37:25 What God is doing there
37:26 or do you want to go to the other video?
37:28 Yeah, let us talk about YouTube
37:30 because I don't remember when...
37:32 Jill, you just said,
37:33 YouTube is a very promising area of development.
37:37 It was not a very long time ago.
37:39 But I think it was during my previous visit
37:42 which is over two years ago.
37:44 And we are used to satellite
37:47 and satellite is wonderful, it is great.
37:50 It reaches so many people,
37:51 but you never have feedback except of some letters.
37:56 But you don't know how many people watch,
37:58 you don't know how long they watch.
38:00 You don't know what comments they make,
38:03 not everyone writes back.
38:04 And so we just...
38:08 We were inspired by this new direction
38:11 that 3ABN was taking
38:12 and we decided to develop our YouTube.
38:15 It took us a while.
38:16 We have just started developing it very recently.
38:20 And we have a graphics, if...
38:24 Yeah, look at this, it's not a very comprehensive graphics,
38:28 but the blue line shows how the amount...
38:32 It is from January 2020 to September 2021,
38:36 so the blue line shows
38:38 how the amount of subscribers steadily grows
38:41 and we have...
38:45 We have over 41,000 subscribers at this time.
38:49 And then you see these peaks, these ups and downs,
38:53 these on that same graph.
38:55 This is...
38:57 We have found with YouTube
38:58 that this is how it works because on YouTube,
39:03 all of a sudden one program becomes popular,
39:05 we don't know why.
39:06 And then YouTube is in an amazing instrument.
39:10 I know that those who created it
39:12 were not thinking about God,
39:15 but we do know that God is in all that is happening
39:18 and we see it as an amazing missionary tool
39:21 'cause one of our programs just reaches this peak
39:25 of viewership
39:26 of just attention of the viewers,
39:31 when people watch it, when people comment upon it,
39:33 when people like it, then YouTube automatically...
39:36 It has very smart algorithms.
39:38 It sure does.
39:39 YouTube is an official channel of Google.
39:42 It is a very, very advanced organization,
39:45 a very rich one.
39:47 And there are, I think,
39:50 eight billion people living on this earth
39:53 and YouTube says that
39:55 3.2 billion people watch YouTube.
39:58 That's incredible.
39:59 So you know, over a third of the mankind watches YouTube.
40:04 So no wonder they invest so much into it.
40:08 They make it so, you know, state of the art.
40:11 So YouTube has very smart algorithms.
40:14 As soon as there is activity around a program,
40:16 then it starts promoting
40:18 the programs of the same channel.
40:20 It is not biased.
40:22 It would promote terrible things,
40:23 which I don't comment...
40:25 Well, I cannot...
40:26 Yeah, but it also promotes good things
40:29 for the glory of God.
40:31 So we have prepared another video.
40:35 And I don't know if you will be surprised or not,
40:37 which of the videos have brought those peaks those...
40:41 Yeah, but probably the viewership
40:45 for 3ABN Russia is bigger.
40:48 So the blue is the subscribers how that's grown,
40:50 the red that's the views,
40:51 you see the peak and the valleys
40:53 and then the duration of views,
40:54 which we keep as yellow.
40:56 Yes.
40:57 How long we keep the attention of the viewers
41:00 is very important.
41:01 So let me now show you the video again.
41:06 We didn't have time to do a right voiceover at all,
41:10 so we're going to be doing it on the spot.
41:12 I don't know if I'll do as great with this one.
41:15 So if I'm behind just bear with me.
41:16 No, that's great.
41:18 Let's go to that video right now.
41:19 Yeah.
41:20 This one is called Male and Female He Created Them,
41:24 and this one brought us 526,000 views.
41:28 Wow.
41:30 And it is about relationships
41:32 or relations between husband and wife after 50,
41:36 including intimate relations.
41:38 And we are so happy that we can give them
41:41 healthy Bible-based advice,
41:44 which will make their life really good.
41:47 Here is another one
41:49 and it talks about men's menopause.
41:51 And again, it's popular.
41:53 It has 136,000 views
41:57 and good advice is given by Christians to the people.
42:01 Here's another one, it is called Helpful Minute,
42:04 this series of programs, Helpful Minute.
42:06 And the first one, yeah, you can see from the open.
42:09 Weight loss.
42:11 Exercise.
42:12 Yes.
42:14 The first one which is most popular
42:16 has 447,000 views and it's about squats.
42:21 And this attracts people
42:23 because squatting relieves your heart muscle
42:27 because then your leg muscles start working
42:29 which is good.
42:31 Then another one is about sciatic nerve
42:35 because a lot of people have pain in the back
42:38 or in these areas.
42:40 So 318,000 views,
42:45 and people are so happy
42:47 that we give them good health recommendations.
42:49 Exercise, we don't put them on medication,
42:53 but offer them healthier lifestyle,
42:56 including this program, which is,
42:59 which talks about there is a way out.
43:02 And here, it talks about withdrawal...
43:05 How to overcome withdrawal symptoms
43:07 when you quit smoking,
43:08 and people appreciate it.
43:09 Yes, 389,000 views.
43:13 Another one, How to Increase Your Melatonin Level
43:17 by Natural Means, by food, 83,000 views.
43:21 These are different kinds of foods.
43:24 Another one, which is very impressive,
43:27 we're so thankful that in this program,
43:30 we have 388,000 views.
43:34 It is called Bible Prophets in the Quran,
43:37 because Quran and Bible have...
43:39 You have the same people that they talk about
43:42 and the Muslims are very much interested
43:45 to hear this information.
43:48 This one is about Jesus and Muhammad
43:51 and it compares how are they different.
43:54 Where are they alike, but where are they different?
43:56 So Jesus is God, He is not just a prophet.
43:59 Then another popular program
44:01 among the Muslims is 139,000 views,
44:05 Did Jesus Die On The Cross, And What It Means?
44:10 Well, and this one is the two favorite singers
44:14 of 3ABN Russia.
44:18 This is Xenia Lapitskaya, 380,000 views.
44:22 Wow!
44:24 And it's a song of her singing that?
44:25 Yeah. Okay.
44:26 Just a simple song and a simple set
44:29 and so many people watch and this song is about heaven.
44:32 Amen.
44:34 Praise the Lord.
44:35 And here's another one and the last one.
44:38 It has 245,000 views, Angelika Yuzna.
44:42 And it says, "How thankful I am to the Lord
44:46 for dying for me on the cross."
44:47 And 245,000 people viewed the message
44:52 through the song.
44:53 Wow. That's incredible.
44:55 So all of these programs that we're just watching now
44:57 that you have or that you're showing us
44:58 were on YouTube and all the views,
45:00 were they all filmed or shot recorded
45:02 at 3ABN Russia studios?
45:03 Oh, yes, yes.
45:05 They were all recorded at 3ABN Russia.
45:07 They have these peak views and they...
45:12 You know when some program is viewed intensely,
45:16 then as I told you,
45:18 YouTube algorithms start recommending
45:21 other programs of the same channel
45:23 or of the same producer.
45:25 And Vadim prepared me figures that one of our programs,
45:30 it was watched by 1000 viewers.
45:33 It is called False Prophets, Who Are They?
45:38 One thousand doesn't bring these peaks,
45:39 but still it's a lot.
45:41 It's not little.
45:43 And then YouTube itself.
45:45 We didn't ask it. It promotes.
45:46 Yeah, we even didn't know that it would do it.
45:49 It promoted the program, which is called
45:53 The Death of The Kingdom of Antichrist.
45:56 And for two years, that program was on the air.
46:00 It had 550 views and then after this one,
46:04 which was popular about false prophets,
46:08 immediately, during one day,
46:12 it had from 550 views,
46:16 it was viewed by 3300 viewers.
46:20 So it's amazing what a tool YouTube really is.
46:23 Because YouTube was promoting and saying,
46:25 "Wow, you've watched this one
46:26 so we're going to show you this other program."
46:28 You know the world is a world of searching online, right?
46:31 It seems that this where the world is,
46:33 we go to Google, like you mentioning Google,
46:35 you know, how old is this?
46:37 What is that? And I don't understand this.
46:38 It's amazing the answers that are out there,
46:41 that's the power of YouTube.
46:42 It's an evangelistic tool.
46:44 3ABN is into that too,
46:45 and I'm so happy that 3ABN Russia is doing this
46:47 because people are searching and trying to find something.
46:49 It could have be at 3 AM in the morning.
46:52 It could be at noon during their lunch break.
46:54 Where is God when I need Him?
46:56 So you don't know then what happens,
46:57 but YouTube and all these back engines
47:00 are then saying,
47:01 "Hey watch this video or watch this sermon."
47:03 That's beautiful
47:04 because what a powerful evangelism tool this is,
47:08 so praise the Lord for what He's doing.
47:09 And what's so exciting to me is that people are watching
47:12 and we won't know till heaven,
47:14 the full impact of the work that is going on.
47:16 Praise the Lord.
47:24 And through the feedback that YouTube gives us,
47:28 we can understand what people are looking for,
47:30 what are their hurting points.
47:32 Yeah.
47:34 And it makes our work more purposeful,
47:38 more oriented to people's needs and to people's hurts.
47:43 And also, I don't want to spend much time on that
47:46 but we're trying to have church members involved
47:49 as much as we can, which is promoting churches.
47:53 What 3ABN Russia does
47:54 and we encourage them to watch our programs,
47:56 does not just increase the viewership but be fed,
48:00 be nurtured by themselves,
48:02 or recommend it as a missionary tool,
48:05 use it as a missionary tool,
48:07 recommended for the others to be watched.
48:09 So it's a big thing
48:10 that we are trying to achieve now,
48:12 you know, to reach different churches
48:14 without presentations, with our encouragement.
48:16 So as Angela said,
48:18 working together church and 3ABN,
48:22 so we're looking forward to huge expansion of YouTube,
48:26 due to the work jointly with the churches.
48:28 Amen.
48:30 Because that's networking,
48:31 really, that what you're doing is networking.
48:33 You're connecting with the churches.
48:35 The churches are fed spiritually
48:36 by the programs, and then they share it
48:39 on their social media sites with other people
48:42 and then other people watch and then YouTube's algorithms
48:45 pushes other people to watch.
48:47 And people who never would have even searched for 3ABN Russia,
48:50 they never would have searched for religious program
48:53 and yet here it is in front of their face.
48:55 And then they have the opportunity,
48:57 the privilege to hear truth, so what a blessing.
49:00 We only have a few minutes left
49:02 before we go to the address here,
49:03 but what are some more future plans?
49:06 I know YouTube is a big part of that.
49:09 What are some other future plans
49:10 for 3ABN Russia?
49:14 Our closest plan is to tape another series
49:17 of Territory of Reality.
49:21 You know its motto is, you think that
49:23 you confront so many problems in your reality,
49:27 but let us tell you that there is another reality
49:31 and that is the reality with God.
49:32 So we're taping a third season of it.
49:35 Yeah.
49:41 We're also preparing a series of new movies
49:46 about or documentary movies
49:48 about seven-day Adventist veterans.
49:51 And it's a good historical material
49:55 and it's a good material for the viewers of today.
49:59 Praise the Lord.
50:05 Yeah.
50:07 We hope for to continue our charitable concert
50:09 for the Christmas time.
50:12 But most of all, of course, our biggest project is the...
50:16 And thank you 3ABN
50:17 and thank you the viewers of 3ABN
50:19 that our new control room is finished and it is equipped.
50:25 Praise the Lord.
50:26 3ABN has bought us the equipment.
50:28 We're taking back to Russia with us during this visit.
50:30 Praise the Lord.
50:31 So this is an amazing thing
50:33 that we're going to use this control room.
50:34 We want to tape live programs in it.
50:37 We will have two simultaneously working
50:39 studios now with these new control rooms.
50:41 Amen.
50:43 Praise the Lord. Amen.
50:44 Yeah, I'm so excited about
50:46 3ABN Russia like I've mentioned.
50:47 We've been there, I'm always encouraged.
50:48 And we want to encourage you
50:50 and say thank you for your support of 3ABN.
50:52 And we want to encourage you
50:53 if the Holy Spirit is impressing you now
50:54 as you're watching this program
50:56 or you're just like "Wow, I just feel that,
50:58 I need to support the work that is going on there."
51:00 We want to encourage you to contact 3ABN.
51:02 You can do it a number of ways.
51:03 One of the ways is calling the number
51:05 that's on your screen right now,
51:06 that's (618) 627-4651
51:09 during regular business hours,
51:10 and we have an actual fund code for 3ABN Russia.
51:13 We've had it for years.
51:14 So many of you've stepped up to the plate as we say,
51:17 and continue to support.
51:18 You mentioned the satellite cost
51:20 because even though we're focusing on YouTube,
51:22 we're still continuing with satellite.
51:23 All these cities, the incredible population,
51:26 I believe there's over 120 million
51:28 in the country of Russia.
51:29 Is that correct, yeah, over that?
51:31 It's lot of people.
51:32 So we need funds for that,
51:34 of course, every month and pay the satellite bill.
51:36 And, of course, the work that's going on there,
51:38 the expansion that continues to happen,
51:40 or you can always send a check here to 3ABN
51:42 that's PO Box 220, West Frankfort,
51:45 Illinois 62896.
51:48 And we'll put 100% of it to 3ABN Russia
51:51 and the work that's going on there.
51:52 Or you can donate online.
51:54 Thank you for talking about going online.
51:55 Go to 3abn. tv
51:58 and you just click on the Donate tab,
52:00 3abn. tv And you just scroll down
52:04 to 3ABN Russia and click on that,
52:06 that way 100% of the funds you donate for that
52:09 will go specifically for 3ABN Russia
52:12 and for the work that's going on there,
52:14 so that the gospel can continue
52:16 to go forward around the world.
52:18 Absolutely.
52:19 What we're going to do right now
52:21 is take a really quick break
52:22 and we'll come back for a couple of minute
52:23 with some closing thoughts.
