00:01 I just absolutely love the practice of a family
00:04 that prays together, 00:06 that minister together, stays together. 00:09 Amen. That's right. 00:10 And so, as we got these last two minutes here, 00:14 just share your heart? 00:17 You know, JD, I believe that 00:19 one of the most important things 00:21 to understand is this, 00:23 is that if a family is going to serve together, 00:29 it has to be because 00:30 they each have their own 00:32 personnel intimate relationship with Jesus. 00:35 Whoo! That's good. 00:36 You know, as a pastor I'm talking to some pastors 00:38 who are viewing today. 00:40 You know, sermon preparation is one thing, 00:43 but having your personnel devotion, 00:45 connecting with Jesus is another. 00:48 And that needs to be a fundamental priority. 00:52 Pastors' wives, you know same thing as a family, 00:55 pastors' kids, 00:56 all children need to develop that time, 00:59 the quality time with Jesus. 01:01 And that has been one of our priorities, 01:03 something that we seek 01:06 to implement on a daily basis. 01:10 You know, as we each have 01:11 our personal relationship with Jesus, 01:14 that's going to produce fruits of the spirit, 01:19 fruits of love, of joy, of service. 01:22 And so what fuels our ministry, 01:25 we've come to understand that 01:26 what fuels our ministry as a family 01:30 is that quality time with Jesus alone, 01:34 in His Word and in prayer. 01:37 And I know it that's the truth for me as a father 01:40 and as a husband and also for Heidi 01:42 as a mother and a wife. 01:44 You know, I as a licensed clinical social worker, 01:47 I work about a day and half a week, 01:49 I also home school Elijah and Moriah. 01:52 So I've lot of in my plate, 01:53 but I see a lot of people that are really hurting. 01:57 And all around us there's people hurting. 01:58 Yes. 02:00 And we, we're hurting ourselves many times. 02:03 And when we have that personal relationship with God, 02:07 it gives us a joy in our heart that no... 02:11 We can't get anywhere else. 02:13 And beyond that, it gives us 02:14 something we can share. 02:16 And as a family being able to share 02:20 Jesus' love with other people, 02:23 and being able to minister together. 02:26 For me that has been a dream. 02:30 Amen. 02:31 Well, we are just, we can tell with your lovely children how, 02:36 how the Lord is working in your lives. 02:38 And we wanna thank you so much for the pointers 02:41 that we've been given here today, 02:44 and it is true for all of us that we have to have that 02:48 personal relationship. 02:49 You can't just be studying your Bible 02:51 to answer the questions 02:53 on your Sabbath school quarterly, 02:54 you've got to press into God's presence. 02:57 God bless you, and join us again. 02:59 Amen. |
