00:08 We sing glory to God in the highest
00:10 and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.
00:13 Celebrate this special season and worship our Savior and King
00:17 as we bring you Christmas with our 3ABN Musical Family.
00:22 Hello and welcome to this special 3ABN Christmas Program.
00:27 We're so happy to be here
00:28 with some of our favorite people
00:30 and singers.
00:31 Thanks for having us.
00:32 And we are glad
00:34 that we're with you at your home.
00:35 Amen.
00:37 I don't know if you're getting ready for Christmas,
00:38 but we want you to sing along with us
00:39 and we want you to know that if you're alone,
00:41 you are not alone.
00:42 That's right.
00:44 You're here with us and God is with you always.
00:45 Yes.
00:46 So we're gonna sing some just familiar carols,
00:48 some familiar hymns,
00:50 and we want you to sing along with us.
00:52 So here's our first one. All right.
01:02 O come, let us adore Him
01:08 O come, let us adore Him
01:13 O come, let us adore Him
01:19 Christ the Lord
01:24 For He alone is worthy
01:30 For He alone is worthy
01:35 For He alone is worthy
01:42 Christ the Lord
01:49 We'll give Him all the glory
01:54 We'll give Him all the glory
02:00 We'll give Him all the glory
02:06 Christ the Lord
02:19 Christ the Lord
02:28 Beautiful.
02:30 Ladye mentioned something earlier about if you're lonely,
02:33 know that God is with us.
02:35 And that's exactly what Emmanuel means.
02:37 That's right. God with us.
02:39 And I can just imagine the night that Christ was born.
02:45 Mary and Joseph are looking into His eyes
02:48 and just looking at each other and saying,
02:51 "Isn't He beautiful?
02:53 Isn't He wonderful?"
02:54 This is the Isaiah the prophet had stated,
02:58 He will be called... His name will be called wonderful.
03:00 Yes.
03:02 Yvonne, you wanna sing?
03:04 Yeah, sure. Come on, girl.
03:06 Beautiful. I have a little lullaby almost.
03:09 One of my favorite singers.
03:16 Isn't He beautiful?
03:23 Beautiful, isn't He?
03:29 Prince of Peace
03:32 Son of God Isn't He?
03:42 Isn't He so Wonderful?
03:49 Wonderful, isn't He?
03:55 Counselor, Almighty God
04:02 Isn't He? Isn't He?
04:09 Isn't He?
04:28 Can you sing Majesty?
04:32 Majesty
04:37 Worship His Majesty
04:43 Unto Jesus
04:46 Be all glory, honor, and praise
04:55 Majesty
04:59 Kingdom authority
05:05 Flow from His throne
05:08 Unto His own His anthem raise
05:16 So exalt, lift up on high
05:21 The name of Jesus
05:27 Magnify, come glorify
05:32 Christ Jesus the King
05:40 Majesty
05:45 Worship His Majesty
05:52 Jesus who died now glorified
05:58 King of all kings
06:03 Jesus who died now glorified
06:10 King of all kings
06:25 Amen. Amen!
06:26 Praise the Lord.
06:28 Wow, isn't Christmas just such an amazing time to reflect,
06:32 and it's a hard time for a lot of people,
06:34 but it's a time to be grateful for everything,
06:39 for all the hard times,
06:40 for the good times, for the struggle.
06:42 I know, you know,
06:44 a lot of times you see us sitting up here and you think,
06:46 "Oh, look, they have all great things to sing about.
06:50 They have wonderful lives." No problems.
06:52 And I wanna tell you,
06:54 no one in life goes without struggle without her.
06:56 I look at all of these great friends.
06:59 And, John, we went with you to New York,
07:01 and we saw where your daddy played.
07:04 And you've had hard things that you've gone through.
07:07 That's right.
07:08 I don't know if you wanna share a little bit about that
07:10 or if you just want to...
07:11 You know, I heard just recently about the fact that
07:16 sun melts butter, but it hardens clay.
07:20 And I thought about it and I said,
07:21 you know, it's not just what you go through,
07:22 it's what you're made of.
07:24 And a lot of times, we could become the victim
07:27 of our circumstances,
07:28 not just what happens to us but our reaction to it.
07:32 And I, you know, being abandoned at three months old,
07:35 being raised at babysitters,
07:36 losing the lady who raised me when I was 13 years old,
07:39 and having to make a decision to from this point on in life,
07:42 I'd have to decide whether I'm gonna make it or not.
07:44 And so here I am many, many years later,
07:46 and I look back at that journey,
07:48 and I realize our journey really becomes
07:51 the tapestry of who we become.
07:53 So when we could pause and sing about
07:56 "Isn't He Beautiful?"
07:57 the Lord is beautiful in the tough times,
08:00 in the beautiful times He's beautiful all the time.
08:03 So praise God for that. That's right.
08:04 And, Celestine, you see this beautiful lady,
08:07 this beautiful woman here of God.
08:09 She has a beautiful heart inside.
08:11 She has a gorgeous voice.
08:13 And you see her, she has a daughter
08:14 that's amazingly talented.
08:16 And you think, "Wow.
08:17 And it is why our God has blessed her so greatly."
08:20 But, you know, she's been through
08:21 hard times too, haven't you?
08:23 Yes.
08:24 You want to share a little bit about that?
08:26 I don't know. I'm gonna cry.
08:28 It's okay. You don't have to share it.
08:30 You just tell them the basic. Yeah.
08:35 Yeah, she's struggling
08:37 and she really needs our prayers.
08:40 You know, like, on and off,
08:43 but God blessed her so much that at least she's still...
08:51 You know, that... Love God.
08:52 Lots of prayer for each of us.
08:54 We each struggle, we go through ups
08:56 and we go downs in life.
08:57 Yeah.
08:59 And, you know, we've all had them.
09:00 And, you know, you and your family...
09:01 John's had problems and you all had problems.
09:04 We should have ours.
09:05 You have yours, and you have yours.
09:07 But guess what?
09:09 He is faithful. He is faithful.
09:10 He is the constant.
09:12 He will bring you through whatever you are going through.
09:14 I just wanted to say that
09:15 not to bring it all down but for you to know.
09:17 You have hope today. Yes.
09:19 You have hope in Jesus. Amen.
09:20 And He will never, never, never leave you nor forsake you
09:23 no matter what you're going through at this moment.
09:25 I just wanna say that 'cause there's someone right now
09:28 that is at the bottom of their rope,
09:30 and they're saying, "Christmas, now really?
09:33 God, I don't even know
09:35 how to call your name out right now."
09:36 But He says, "I will never leave you or forsake you."
09:38 Yes. He really wants you to come on.
09:40 He does.
09:41 And, you know, it's not just what we have,
09:43 but it's who has us.
09:44 That's right.
09:45 I think we have to remember
09:47 that there's nothing that happens.
09:48 We're in the hand of a potter, we're still His clay.
09:50 He's still molding us.
09:51 So we may fall apart, but we're in His hand.
09:54 We may leak, but we're in His hand.
09:56 So it's not just what is going through,
09:58 what we're going through, but it's who has us.
09:59 And it may be clay,
10:01 but you are His precious treasure.
10:03 That's right.
10:04 He loves you so much. He made you.
10:06 And He's going to be there for you.
10:08 So you know what, you do have hope.
10:09 And we can celebrate Christmas and we can be happy today.
10:13 And we can be... We can cry, and we can call out to God,
10:16 and we can also have joy
10:18 in the midst of anything you're going through.
10:20 So we're gonna have joy today.
10:21 We're gonna have... Even in the midst.
10:23 Even if we're the parents of 17-year-old.
10:24 That's right
10:26 You know,
10:27 so how old is your daughter now, Celestine?
10:29 Nineteen. Nineteen, okay.
10:31 So teenagers are tough.
10:33 I didn't realize how tough this was.
10:35 Oh, yes. I thought that, "Okay.
10:37 I can't wait them to get big and everything."
10:40 And boy, they're so challenging.
10:43 Just think what our folks went through. Right.
10:46 I can't even imagine.
10:48 We're not the first generation,
10:50 you know, our folks went through...
10:51 I know mine did with me for sure.
10:53 Oh, Danny, not you.
10:55 Oh, you're not an instigator. I know you weren't.
10:57 No, not unless I get a chance.
10:59 Then you weren't turning flips off the back of cars
11:01 or anything like that, were you?
11:03 I was, yeah. Yeah.
11:04 And didn't even worry the folks,
11:06 you know, I'm doing backward flips off of cars
11:08 and climbing up stairs on my hands
11:10 and they didn't worry about it.
11:12 Sometimes I think I'm too protective over mine,
11:14 you know, Melody, she's little
11:15 and little Trinity who is 19 now.
11:18 Not little anymore. I'm so protective of them.
11:20 Back in day, it was like, "Okay, just go for it.
11:22 Come back at... You know, if you're outside playing,
11:24 come in before dark, you know,"
11:25 But that just, you know what, it all worked out.
11:27 They didn't know to be afraid. Yeah. Today we know it.
11:30 But, you know, I'm just thinking about,
11:31 you know, our children, our teenagers
11:33 and you were teared up about that, thinking about that.
11:36 And Brett our son is 17.
11:39 And, you know, he's trying to find,
11:41 you know, his way independently from his parents,
11:45 you know, in so many ways.
11:47 And we love him so much.
11:50 You love your daughter, your children so, so much.
11:53 We pour our lives into that.
11:55 That's our priority, right? You pour your love.
11:58 And sometimes you feel like,
12:00 "I don't have any more to pour into.
12:02 I'm literally at the end of my rope. What do I do?
12:04 Because I'm not necessarily getting the response back
12:07 that I think I should at this moment."
12:10 And then I think about,
12:12 you know, how the Lord is so faithful to us
12:16 'cause we're His children.
12:18 And I respond like a teenager.
12:22 There you go.
12:24 Think about how we respond to Jesus so many times.
12:25 To Him so many times, but yet
12:28 He keeps being faithful
12:31 and loving through my teenage years...
12:36 Not really, you know, let's not even talk about ages, okay?
12:39 But so... But...
12:42 Sometimes we stay teenagers with Jesus, with God, don't we?
12:44 Yeah, we do. Till we're 80.
12:46 Yeah, terrible truth. Terrible truths, exactly.
12:50 We revert back to it with Celestine,
12:51 be encouraged because...
12:53 That's right. The Lord's got your back, girl.
12:54 Yes, yes. He's got your back.
12:56 I'm just so glad that she's loving God
12:58 and she's trying so hard and I'm so proud of her.
13:03 We are too, Celestine. Thank you.
13:06 She's so talented.
13:07 Well, you know what,
13:09 I think we need to hear from Tim Parton.
13:12 Okay.
13:13 And he's got a song for us.
13:15 And what would you like to do, Tim?
13:17 I think I'm just gonna play a couple.
13:18 Okay. This is...
15:01 Amen. All right.
15:03 Hey, Tim.
15:05 Wow. That's wonderful.
15:06 Beautiful. What an incredible gift.
15:07 And that got us into the spirit and got us happy.
15:09 But even if you think about those lyrics,
15:10 they were exactly what we were just talking about,
15:11 comfort and joy.
15:13 You're a piano player, you're sitting there watching.
15:16 Does that amaze you what he does?
15:17 He's amazing.
15:18 I'm telling you, you know,
15:20 I had the opportunity to work in Nashville
15:22 with a lot of wonderful, wonderful pianists.
15:24 I'm turning tops right here, Tim.
15:26 And Timothy Wayne is amazing. Timothy Wayne.
15:28 I called him Timothy Wayne. I called him Timothy Wayne.
15:31 We're not even sure that's his name.
15:32 My mother called me that.
15:34 Oh, it scared me, but when Reggie calls it,
15:35 it's endearing for some reason.
15:37 It's endearing and sends a shiver up his spine.
15:41 But, no, Danny, I'm... Reggie has a way of doing that.
15:45 My daughter Melody, from the time she was little,
15:49 you know, her mother died when she was 11,
15:52 but nobody would call her Mel.
15:54 Melody. You do not call her Mel.
15:57 So after, of course, her mother died,
15:58 Melody went through teenage years,
16:00 nobody... 'Cause somebody said,
16:02 "Hey, Mel." She said, "My name is Melody."
16:04 Reggie does it, and it's endearing.
16:06 She loves it.
16:07 She said, "Reggie is the only person in the world..."
16:09 Oh, I didn't know that. He says, "Hey, Mel."
16:11 But here's what she says. "I love it when Reggie...
16:14 He's the only person..." I've never... I'm her daddy,
16:16 I wouldn't call her Mel.
16:17 She said when Reggie does it, it's just so endearing.
16:19 It's so natural.
16:21 Reggie is everybody's big brother.
16:22 That's what it is. He's just like a big brother.
16:25 Reggie can do that.
16:26 I won't call you Timothy Wayne though.
16:28 Okay, please don't. please don't.
16:29 You know what I do wanna hear?
16:31 I wanna hear... No, do you know what I wanna hear?
16:35 Do you hear what I hear?
16:37 I wanna hear John sing "Do you hear what I hear?"
16:41 Okay. All right. All right.
16:42 Not only can he preach, he can sing.
16:45 Yes. Praise the Lord.
16:46 You know why this song is important to me
16:48 is because I've seen so many things in life.
16:50 You know, when my wife and I
16:51 travel around the world together,
16:52 we see different things in different places.
16:54 We come back home and we now become
16:56 a product of what we just saw and what we just heard.
16:59 And this song talks about that.
17:00 We hear what the Lord wants us to hear and we see
17:04 what the Lord wants us to see.
17:06 And this beautiful story is told
17:07 about that little lamb who had...
17:10 He had a gift to give to all of us,
17:12 but He said, "Do you hear what I hear?"
17:14 So sit back and enjoy
17:16 the message of the season of the Lamb Christ Jesus.
17:30 Said the night wind to the little lamb
17:36 Do you see what I see?
17:41 Way up in the sky, little lamb
17:46 Do you see what I see?
17:51 A star, a star, dancing in the night
17:56 With a tail as big as a kite
18:00 With a tail as big as a kite
18:08 Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy
18:14 Do you hear what I hear?
18:18 Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy
18:24 Do you hear what I hear?
18:29 A song, a song, high above the trees
18:34 With a voice as big as the sea
18:38 With a voice as big as the sea
18:46 Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king
18:52 Do you know what I know?
18:57 In your palace warm, mighty king
19:02 Do you know what I know?
19:06 A Child, a Child shivers in the cold
19:11 Let us bring Him silver and gold
19:16 Let us bring Him silver and gold
19:26 Said the king to the people everywhere
19:32 Listen to what I say!
19:37 Pray for peace, people everywhere!
19:42 Just listen to what I say!
19:47 The Child, the Child, sleeping in the night
19:52 He will bring us goodness and light
19:57 He will bring us goodness and light
20:13 Yes, he will. Yes. Amen.
20:15 Beautiful.
20:16 He will bring us goodness and light.
20:18 He brought us goodness and light.
20:20 Can you imagine what it was like
20:23 when that Baby Jesus was born?
20:25 I mean, it was an ordinary day for most people, right?
20:27 They had no idea that this was the Christ King.
20:30 So what child...
20:32 When this Little Child came...
20:33 Celestine, sing for us about that baby.
21:02 What Child is this
21:06 Who laid to rest
21:10 On Mary's lap is sleeping?
21:17 Whom angels greet with anthems sweet
21:24 While shepherds watch are keeping?
21:31 This, this is Christ the King
21:36 Whom shepherds guard and angels sing
21:43 Haste, haste to bring Him
21:47 Laud The Babe,
21:50 the Son of Mary
21:57 Why lies He in such mean estate
22:03 Where ox and ass are feeding?
22:09 Good Christian, fear, for sinners here
22:14 The silent Word is pleading
22:20 This, this is Christ the King
22:25 Whom shepherds guard and angels sing
22:31 Haste, haste to bring Him laud The Babe,
22:38 the Son of Mary
22:56 So bring Him incense, gold, and myrrh
23:02 Come peasant, king to own Him
23:08 The King of kings salvation brings
23:14 Let loving hearts enthrone Him
23:22 Raise, raise a song on high
23:28 His mother sings her lullaby
23:33 Joy, joy for Christ is born The Babe,
23:40 the Son of Mary
23:47 This, this is Christ the King
23:52 Shepherds guard and angels sing
23:58 Haste, haste to bring Him laud The Babe,
24:06 The Son of Mary
24:19 Amen. Thank you.
24:22 I hope you don't mind we couldn't stand it.
24:24 We had to just chime in right there with you.
24:27 That was beautiful.
24:29 And, you know, there's another song,
24:31 an older song that when I was little,
24:34 every Christmas Eve, we had a service
24:37 and my dad would play this on the mandolin.
24:39 And I heard Tim and I heard Yvonne backstage
24:42 just for the first time I think listening to it.
24:44 Yeah, yeah, my first time singing it.
24:47 And she's never sung it, but guess what,
24:49 you are going to do it, Yvonne.
24:50 That never stopped us, did it not?
24:52 No, that's true. That is true.
24:53 Let me tell you, Yvonne, I know everyone
24:56 that watches 3ABN knows what an amazing singer you are,
24:59 but I hope they know what an amazing person you are.
25:02 Aw, praise the Lord. And you have the best heart.
25:04 You see God, you see His love all in your face.
25:07 And you've done so many amazing things
25:09 in your life that, you know,
25:11 if you wanted to go by the world standards,
25:14 you could just totally think of yourself so highly
25:18 and call yourself a third person.
25:21 Oh, my goodness.
25:23 Something stars do that are so crazy
25:25 and talk about themselves as if they were someone else
25:28 or their alter name, but not Yvonne.
25:30 She's such a woman of God. Praise the Lord.
25:32 And that's the whole idea of this song.
25:34 It's just to talk about how the Lord is so good
25:40 and how we just love Him.
25:42 Yes. How can we not love Him?
25:44 He's so good to us.
25:46 So He came, He left glory.
25:50 I mean, when you think about what He left to come here,
25:55 so how can we not love Him?
25:56 So this song is an offering to God to say thank You, Lord,
26:01 for coming down because we love You so much.
26:04 And I love you guys too.
26:14 Down from His glory
26:21 Ever living story
26:27 My God and Savior came
26:33 And Jesus was His name
26:38 Born in a manger
26:44 To His own a stranger
26:50 A Man of sorrows,
26:55 Tears, and agony
27:03 O how I love Him
27:10 How I adore Him
27:15 My breath, my sunshine,
27:21 My all in all
27:26 The Great Creator
27:30 Became my Savior
27:36 And all God's fullness
27:42 Dwelleth in Him
27:54 What condescension
28:00 Bringing us redemption
28:06 That in the dead of night
28:12 Not one faint hope in sight
28:18 God, gracious, tender
28:24 Laid aside His splendor
28:29 Stooping to woo, to win,
28:34 To save my soul
28:42 O how I love Him
28:48 How I adore Him
28:54 My breath, my sunshine,
28:59 My all in all
29:04 The Great Creator
29:09 Became my Savior
29:16 And all God's fullness
29:22 Dwelleth in Him Beautiful.
29:40 Beautiful. Gorgeous.
29:42 Oh, my goodness, Yvonne.
29:44 That was just beautiful.
29:46 Yvonne, do you realize what the Lord has given you?
29:50 What the Lord has given us.
29:53 Oh, amazing...
29:55 She can't take a compliment. I guess that's good.
29:58 You just sidestepped us.
30:00 You know what, but that was just beautiful.
30:02 And you know what, you've sung a lot of big hits
30:06 and a lot of things through the years.
30:08 Yes.
30:09 And the Lord has used you not just,
30:12 you know, on this television that work but he's used you
30:17 in the world too.
30:19 You were in the world but not necessarily of the world.
30:21 Praise the Lord. Yes. Yeah. Yeah.
30:24 Not of the world.
30:25 But he's using you
30:26 in such a mighty way all over the world.
30:30 Now...
30:31 It's such a privilege
30:33 and I know you all share this, you know, we are in ministry,
30:37 and what a privilege it is to, you know, use our gifts for God
30:42 instead of just like singing about mundane things
30:46 like toilet tissue, you know, but...
30:49 Have you sung about toilet tissue?
30:51 I have. And I just...
30:52 Which is necessary.
30:54 Which is necessary. It's necessary.
30:56 Is it one better than the other
30:57 or just they paid better so you went...
30:59 I only do one. I get offered that.
31:02 But it is such a blessing and a gift from God
31:05 to be able to serve Him with the gifts He's given us.
31:09 And it makes all the difference because this helps people
31:13 to find Him.
31:15 It's something that is used for eternity,
31:18 not just for the here and now.
31:20 And so it is such a privilege to be able to be
31:22 in ministry and with all of you in ministry,
31:26 I'm just so honored to be with you and ministry.
31:29 And speaking of incredible talent
31:31 and they also can't take a compliment...
31:34 Yes.
31:35 But we haven't heard Ladye Love.
31:36 I wanna hear you sing. Yes.
31:38 "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" with you.
31:40 That will be good. Oh, yeah, I like that.
31:42 Another brand new one.
31:43 Oh, yeah, absolutely, incredible gift
31:46 and I'm glad you all are on God's side for sure.
31:49 You can do a lot of damage if you're on the devil's side.
31:51 Yes, indeed. Praise the Lord.
31:52 You're on God's side.
31:54 You know, that's what it's all about.
31:56 I mean, honestly, I'm so grateful
31:58 that I was reared...
32:00 Yeah.
32:01 With a family, faithful family, Christian family,
32:05 my mom and dad, you know,
32:06 thinking about Christmas right now
32:08 and I know Ladye is gonna sing this song
32:09 "Heard the Bells" but my mom just came through a surgery.
32:13 And it was a knee replacement,
32:16 you know, just something new every day,
32:17 but she...
32:21 Had complications. Had complications.
32:23 And pneumonia and then a kidney failure
32:26 on the back end of that and at same time,
32:30 so but now I have to report she's doing great.
32:33 Oh, praise God. Hey, mom, if you're watching.
32:36 Hey, mom.
32:38 And she is watching right now and dad too.
32:40 Great mom and dad. Hey, dad. Great mom and dad.
32:42 But you met them, but they,
32:43 of course, love you too so much.
32:44 But, you know what, thinking about this Christmas
32:47 and get to go home and spend some time
32:49 with mom and daddy and eat those peas and cornbread.
32:52 I mean, that would... Peas and cornbread.
32:54 You're about to make me break all the rhythm
32:58 and see if Tim could hear a chord
32:59 and find a key for Ladye,
33:01 "I'll you all be home for Christmas"
33:02 you just said. "I'll be home for Christmas."
33:05 You want... Let's try.
33:06 Can we try that, little bit of that?
33:07 Yeah, you guys do that.
33:09 You just wanna start? Here we go.
33:14 I'll be home
33:20 For Christmas
33:25 You can plan on me
33:32 I'll be right there with you, baby.
33:36 Please have snow
33:39 And mistletoe
33:44 And presents
33:47 Under the tree
33:54 Christmas eve
33:59 Will find me
34:05 Where the love light
34:10 Gleams
34:14 I'll be home
34:19 For Christmas
34:24 If only
34:27 Only
34:29 In my dreams
34:35 If only
34:41 In my dreams
34:53 Okay, we're going home now.
34:56 Was that silky or what?
34:58 Danny, did you...
35:00 Liquid silk.
35:01 You set it up.
35:04 You know, you set up the home for Christmas.
35:05 I did. Thank you.
35:07 Talking about the folks, Mom and Dad.
35:08 Oh, my goodness. That was so beautiful.
35:10 Wonderful.
35:11 But she still doesn't get out of your other songs.
35:12 That's right.
35:14 Sing a little bit of the...
35:15 This is a brand new song, but the words are...
35:18 Brand new to you. Brand new to me.
35:19 It's an old song. That's right, Tim.
35:21 That's right, Tim.
35:23 But listen to these words.
35:24 "I Heard the Bells."
35:26 It tells a beautiful story.
35:36 I heard the bells on Christmas day
35:42 Their old familiar carols play
35:48 And mild and sweet their songs repeat
35:55 Of peace on earth good will to men
36:06 And in despair I bowed my head
36:13 There is no peace on earth I said
36:19 For hate is strong and mocks the song
36:26 Of peace on earth, good will to men
36:40 Then rang the bells more loud and deep
36:46 God is not dead, nor does he sleep
36:52 The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
36:58 With peace on earth, good will to men
37:09 Then ringing singing on its way
37:17 The world revolved from night to day
37:22 A voice, a chime, a chant sublime
37:29 Of peace on earth,
37:34 Good will to men
37:44 That's our prayer, isn't it? Praise the Lord.
37:46 We're having church, aren't we?
37:48 We are having church.
37:49 Yes, indeed. It's a great song.
37:52 It's just to thank that I get to hear her
37:54 sing on Christmas day.
37:55 Christmas day, I get to hear...
37:57 It didn't sound quite like that.
37:58 People think, "Oh, you're going on singing..."
38:00 And we're like, "Stop singing." Stop singing.
38:04 You know, listen when we travel with them in restaurants
38:07 or anywhere else, if something strikes,
38:10 we all start singing.
38:11 That's right. No matter what...
38:13 Well, I don't because I play the piano.
38:15 And there's never a piano in a restaurant.
38:17 So I'm over there like... You're over there singing.
38:18 No, that's where you the grab some spoons
38:21 and play with spoons.
38:22 Do you remember?
38:23 Remember, we were going to Russia
38:25 and we had our little group back there on a train one time.
38:27 And they shut us all that they were like,
38:29 "Be quiet, you're too loud."
38:31 So we said, "What's wrong?
38:32 We're just having some, you know, our normal sound."
38:35 But the Russians, they didn't appreciate it.
38:36 Like they were more stoic and we're like laughing
38:39 and finally conductor comes and says
38:40 through the translator,
38:42 "You Americans have to be quiet, you're too loud."
38:44 So, well, we sing and we talk and we do whatever.
38:48 We're laughing.
38:50 So you see him here singing and everybody here,
38:52 we all sing everywhere else too.
38:54 We were having fun in the sleeping car.
38:56 That was it. That was it.
38:58 I didn't know it was a sleeping car.
39:01 That's probably why I was so bad.
39:03 Know when to sing and when not to sing, right?
39:04 But we were in eight hours difference or something.
39:07 So we weren't sleeping.
39:08 Then I said, you know what, at Christmas and at home,
39:10 we say don't sing and not all the time we do that,
39:13 sometimes we do that.
39:14 Most of the time. But you know what?
39:16 I do like to hear you sing. Really?
39:17 Yeah, and I love "Sweet Little Jesus Boy."
39:20 Would you sing that for us?
39:22 I will. Yes, sure.
39:25 Tim will play. What key you got in mind?
39:27 I have no one of them.
39:28 Okay, just start singing. I'll find it.
39:31 Get in D and we'll get started.
39:42 Try F.
39:47 Sweet little Jesus boy
39:53 They made you be born in a manger
40:00 Sweet little holy child
40:05 Didn't know who you was
40:11 Didn't know you'd come to save us, Lord
40:18 To take our sins all away
40:22 Our eyes was blind
40:27 And we could not see
40:33 And we didn't know who you was
40:41 Long time ago
40:47 You was born
40:52 Born in a manger, Lord
40:58 Sweet little Jesus boy
41:03 The world treat me mean, Lord
41:09 Treat me mean too
41:14 But please, Sir
41:19 Forgive us, Lord
41:26 And we didn't know it was You
41:35 Sweet little Jesus boy
41:41 Born a long ago
41:46 Sweet little holy child
41:52 And we didn't know who you was
42:11 Amen.
42:13 Beautiful. Beautiful.
42:14 And Reggie and Ladye were talking
42:15 about you being humble.
42:17 I think Reggie just recently, where did you get a Dove Award?
42:21 Maybe more than that... Oh, my goodness...
42:23 You probably got more Grammys and Doves than we can count.
42:25 No, no, no, not at all.
42:26 Actually the Gaither Vocal Band,
42:28 one artist Southern gospel artist of the year,
42:32 which was a wonderful award that...
42:35 Now do you each get a Dove or do you have to share it?
42:37 We each get a bird.
42:39 You each get one? We each get one.
42:40 That's good.
42:42 No fight and all that. No, no, no, no.
42:44 We each get a bird and then so that's so nice
42:47 and so we won the one last year.
42:51 What a great accomplishment. Yeah.
42:53 I mean, like we talked about, you know, Bill Gaither,
42:57 what he's done for gospel music is been amazing
43:00 and to get the gospel to the world,
43:03 being able to put together groups like a vocal band
43:06 and bring all the family gathering,
43:08 homecomings together so that people that no matter
43:11 where they are around the world,
43:12 we travel to other countries and people are like,
43:15 "I see Reggie and Ladye on the Gaithers."
43:16 And, you know, what an impact to, you know,
43:20 you're traveling with him day and night,
43:22 man's 80 plus years old and Reggie says
43:24 he's about to wear these boys out.
43:26 Boys out...
43:27 Danny only walks 12,000 steps a day.
43:29 Twelve thousand steps a day, what an amazing individual.
43:32 And praise the Lord for people like Mr. Bill Gaither
43:36 for what he does.
43:37 And so thankful that you're a part of that
43:39 and the vocal band.
43:40 Love hearing you guys sing.
43:41 It still makes time for us. Yeah.
43:44 Let me just say praise the Lord for people like you too
43:46 and 3ABN because this message goes worldwide.
43:50 This message you take it to places
43:52 that it would never be
43:53 and we go places and people that was from 3ABN
43:56 and everywhere we go to...
43:57 I know it is for you as well, right?
43:59 Matter of fact, yesterday, we were in Georgia.
44:03 Todd Suttles' father had passed away.
44:06 We were at the memorial, funeral service there.
44:09 And several ladies came in and gentlemen came to us
44:13 and said, "We watch you all the time on 3ABN."
44:16 We watch you.
44:17 So it's out there, it get out there.
44:19 That was in rural Georgia, small town.
44:20 Rural Georgia. Yeah. So beautiful.
44:23 And we're just honored to be able
44:25 to be here with you, Danny.
44:27 You know, I tell people all the time.
44:29 A lot of people, you know, say we've seen you on 3ABN
44:33 and I say, "Well, I'll let Danny know that..."
44:36 I'll try to let Danny know that we saw you and you said
44:40 you're watching."
44:41 And I tell them every time, I said,
44:44 "Yes, Danny and I, we all have fun
44:46 and Yvonne and Ladye or the four of us
44:47 have a great time and of course John and Angie."
44:51 But Tim and Celestine of course,
44:54 and all the camera people, you know,
44:57 and the sound technicians...
44:59 No, but...
45:00 You know, Danny, I tell them
45:03 that you're one of my best buddies in the world
45:06 and I feel that same way for you.
45:09 I feel like if I got in a spot that you have my back
45:14 and I have yours and I tell people all over the world,
45:17 but we're buddies off the camera.
45:20 As much as we're off the cameras,
45:21 we are on the camera.
45:23 And, you know, we have fun on the camera...
45:24 We're all together in kinds of stuff,
45:26 jump off of the blue hole, clear up together.
45:27 Jump off the blue hole together.
45:28 All kinds of stuff.
45:30 And he loves to get me on the ping pong table
45:32 and just whacks me, you know?
45:34 And of course, shooting around the hall, you know?
45:36 Let me say this, you know, in Christmas tour,
45:38 oh, not the Christmas tour, the regular tour,
45:40 the Gaither tour, reggie walks on his hands.
45:42 Now that's hilarious, right?
45:44 He comes on second half walking,
45:45 but guess where he probably learned that
45:47 not only from his dad but from Danny.
45:48 My dad and Danny because he knew that and I remember
45:52 when we were in Australia
45:54 several years ago and Brett was...
45:55 Our son was younger.
45:57 And you were walking on your hands
45:58 and he was just taking with Mr. Danny.
46:01 "So he can do anything, daddy.
46:03 He can do anything and do it well."
46:06 But, Danny, all I'm saying is thank you guys for allowing us
46:09 to be part of your ministry.
46:11 And we don't take it lightly.
46:13 We don't.
46:14 It's a great family and it's great family
46:16 that we have with you.
46:18 Without you, we'd be sitting here by ourselves
46:20 and none of this would be
46:22 getting to those around the world
46:24 who really need not only this time of year
46:27 but need to hear the gospel,
46:28 all literally around the world and 24/7, I'm so thankful
46:34 for Jesus Christ and His great plan of salvation
46:38 that He loved us enough to come down to this earth
46:41 and to dwell among us.
46:44 There's a song that says "There's No Place Like Home."
46:48 And maybe we could just try that together.
46:50 We've never really sang it together,
46:52 but if you all will take the verses...
46:53 You all need to stop giving away our secrets.
46:56 Okay.
47:08 When the soft snow is falling
47:15 Each roof becomes a dome
47:21 Then you'll hear your heart calling
47:27 There's just no place like home
47:34 There's no place like home
47:41 That's when you must believe
47:47 There's no place like home
47:53 I'm longing to be there
48:05 And the meadows gleam neatly
48:12 As though brushed by a comb
48:17 And the night bird sings sweetly
48:24 There's just no place like home
48:29 And there's no place like home
48:37 The song will sweetly say
48:42 There's no place like home
48:50 I'm longing to be there
49:04 And though blessing they find you
49:11 Wherever you may roam
49:17 With your loved ones all around you
49:23 There's just no place like home
49:29 There's no place like home
49:37 That's when you must believe
49:42 There's no place like home
49:49 I'm longing to be there
49:55 There's no place like home
50:02 That's when you must believe
50:07 There's no place like home
50:14 And I'm longing to
50:21 Be there
50:24 Okay.
50:30 Amen. Beautiful.
50:34 Oh, nice harmony, almost making I wanna quit.
50:38 All right, what we're gonna do now, Ladye Love,
50:40 we got about few minutes left.
50:42 Let's do a fun song. All right.
50:44 How about that? Let's do...
50:45 Do we know that?
50:47 That's the funny part.
50:49 It'll be fun if we know it.
50:50 That's the fun part. Let's do "They Rejoiced."
50:53 Yeah, with exceedingly great joy.
50:55 "They Rejoiced."
50:57 Talking about shepherds and the wise men...
50:58 Oh, yeah. Let's sing.
51:07 Over mountains and valleys it led than each night
51:13 A star of most radiant light
51:19 The wise men rejoiced as they journeyed afar
51:24 To behold such a beautiful star
51:30 When they saw the star
51:32 They rejoiced with great joy
51:35 When they saw the star
51:37 They rejoiced
51:41 When they saw the star
51:43 They rejoiced with great joy
51:45 They rejoiced with exceeding great joy
51:51 When they saw the star
51:53 They rejoiced with great joy
51:57 When they saw the star
51:59 They rejoiced
52:02 When they saw the star
52:04 They rejoiced with great joy
52:07 They rejoiced with exceeding great joy
52:13 Others saw the star but they followed it not
52:18 To them it would come and would pass
52:24 The wise men kept trusting with all of their hearts
52:29 That the star would find the Baby at last
52:35 When they saw the star
52:37 They rejoiced with great joy
52:40 When they saw the star
52:42 They rejoiced
52:45 When they saw the star
52:48 They rejoiced with great joy
52:50 They rejoiced with exceeding great joy
52:56 When they saw the star
52:58 They rejoiced with great joy
53:02 When they saw the star
53:04 They rejoiced
53:07 When they saw the star
53:09 They rejoiced with great joy
53:12 They rejoiced with exceeding great joy
53:18 When they saw the star
53:20 They rejoiced with great joy
53:23 When they saw the star
53:25 They rejoiced
53:29 When they saw the star
53:31 They rejoiced with great joy
53:34 They rejoiced with exceeding great joy
53:39 Great joy
53:42 They rejoiced with exceeding great joy
53:55 Amen. Wow. That was fun.
54:00 Can you imagine now, Danny?
54:01 Can you imagine the shepherds on the hillside
54:04 rejoicing with great joy because they know
54:06 this is the Christ, this is the Son of God.
54:09 Absolutely.
54:10 Born here in this manger rejoicing.
54:13 Oh, my goodness, they would have been doing a little dance.
54:15 Absolutely.
54:17 And we're gonna do some in heaven I got a feeling too,
54:19 you know, just to thank you made it there.
54:21 Right.
54:22 But you know what, Danny, meeting Christ now in our lives
54:26 we should each day face each day
54:29 with exceeding great joy knowing that He's our hope.
54:31 Hope not only for the future
54:33 but He's our hope to get us through today.
54:36 That's what I love. He still He remains.
54:38 Christians are to be the happiest
54:39 most excited people on earth.
54:40 Absolutely.
54:42 Absolutely, no humdrum for us.
54:43 That's right. Okay.
54:45 We love it. We love it.
54:46 Except when we're doing laundry.
54:47 I think that's a little humdrum.
54:49 Even then aren't you grateful to have a washing machine?
54:50 That's exactly right.
54:52 And I was mopping floors just last week.
54:54 Actually I am so grateful that she has a washing machine.
54:57 Yes.
54:59 Honey, you know, you had mentioned about,
55:01 you know, at the first of the program about,
55:02 you know, you might be, you know,
55:04 if you're lonely or what, if you're there doing chores
55:06 in the house, so I was wondering
55:08 if you were starting to make a list for me because...
55:10 I am.
55:12 There's so much today when we get home.
55:13 And, you know, we are laughing and everything but, you know,
55:16 there is a difference.
55:17 We can't be doing that laundry, mopping every week.
55:19 I hope that you've been dancing around and singing your praises
55:22 to God as you're doing that today
55:23 while you've been listening to this music.
55:25 And I hope that you do find that true joy
55:27 that Christ only gives.
55:28 That's right.
55:30 I mean, He is the only thing that can get you
55:32 through the humdrum, the horrible times
55:35 this humdrum times, the times when you might feel like,
55:38 "I'm just doing the same old thing again today,
55:40 I'm doing the laundry, I'm doing the wash,"
55:41 but, you know what, He is with you
55:44 and He can make it be something new every day.
55:47 You can't find...
55:48 Like Tim just said, but we're grateful to have
55:50 a washing machine and you can find the joy
55:53 in everything that you do every day.
55:54 And God is not finished with you yet either.
55:57 No matter your age, no matter what you're doing every day.
56:00 I went to McDonald's last week, and I walked in and the lady
56:04 goes, she starts to type my order, and she said,
56:08 "What would you like, love?"
56:10 And I went...
56:11 And she didn't know my name was Love.
56:12 And I just...
56:14 Oh, but it's like, you know, when you go to another place
56:16 and they say my pleasure to serve you,
56:18 it did something...
56:19 I said, "You have no idea
56:21 the ministry you have right here.
56:22 Do you say that to everybody?" She said, "I do."
56:24 I said, "You have an incredible ministry."
56:26 So you have an incredible ministry.
56:28 Whatever we do every day, we can make a difference
56:30 in the smallest things God can use you.
56:32 Absolutely.
56:33 And then once you come to Jesus at the foot of the cross,
56:36 submit and commit your life to Him.
56:38 You're supposed to go and tell...
56:39 That's right.
56:41 "Go Tell It on the Mountain." How about that?
56:42 Let's try that.
56:44 Go, tell it on the mountain
56:48 Over the hills and everywhere
56:53 Go, tell it on the mountain
56:56 That Jesus Christ is born!
57:01 Go, tell it on the mountain
57:05 Over the hills and everywhere
57:09 Go, tell it on the mountain
57:12 That Jesus Christ is born!
57:17 That Jesus Christ is born!
57:27 All right.
57:35 Jesus Christ is born!
57:40 All right, well done.
