00:39 Previously on Law of Love & Liberty:
00:44 We are standing
00:47 in His presence
00:52 on holy...
00:55 on holy
00:57 ground.
01:01 If God can cause The Red Sea to open up
01:04 and let His people cross that thing on dry land,
01:07 then God can move in your life.
01:09 He's not only Sovereign over the wind and the waves
01:12 He's Sovereign over what's going on in your life, too.
01:15 The word "but" indicates a contrast.
01:19 Here He's actually saying: "Look, I did not come to
01:22 destroy the law... I came to magnify the law. "
01:25 God's means of salvation has always and only been
01:30 salvation by grace through faith.
01:32 The entire Bible - Genesis to Revelation -
01:35 is the progressive unfolding of God's covenant.
01:40 The law is made for the unrighteous we're told.
01:42 That's what it's made for... that's what it's for.
01:44 Let the law do what the law is supposed to do.
01:47 Let the law convict you and let Jesus save you.
01:55 Amen! Good evening and welcome to 3ABN Spring
01:58 Camp Meeting: Law of Love & Liberty.
02:01 Have you been blessed already? Amen!
02:03 What an incredible time we have had!
02:06 I have felt the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
02:08 I have grown spiritually.
02:10 And just to get to spend time with each one of you!
02:13 To get to know you. I met somebody today, and he said
02:16 "You always say I look at you through the screen"
02:19 but now I get to see you face to face.
02:21 To me it's just a foretaste of what heaven is going to be like.
02:25 We are so glad that you have tuned in tonight,
02:28 and I'm just excited about Camp Meeting.
02:30 Oh, Camp Meeting is a really exciting time. It's a blessing
02:32 to meet each one of you. We're hearing incredible stories
02:34 already from the audience that are here.
02:36 Some people just came... Well, first time here.
02:39 Became Seventh-day Adventists, learned about the truth,
02:41 baptized 2017. They're here... very first time at Camp Meeting.
02:45 Amen? Talked to a couple that's here in the local community.
02:49 They're staying in a hotel, and they took a box of
02:52 Ten Commandments Twice Removed books to the manager of the
02:54 hotel here locally and said: "Would you be willing to put
02:56 these in the little drawers with the Bibles? "
02:58 And he said: "Absolutely. " So here in the local community
03:01 praise the Lord. So witnessing is happening right here.
03:03 Exciting things are happening here locally as well.
03:06 So that's a "Go ye... " We ate lunch with
03:10 the Phippses and Frieda today - yes - and on the way up from
03:14 Oakwood she - Frieda? yeah - her car hydroplaned
03:18 Oh boy! and went into the guard rail across the road.
03:21 Totaled her car and she's eating lunch with us today.
03:24 I said: "Are you sore? " She said: "No... not really. "
03:27 I said: "I'm sore when I just get up in the morning
03:29 even if I didn't have an accident. "
03:31 She's doing fine. That's a miracle, folks!
03:33 Amen! A car gets that damaged and totaled out
03:36 and the Lord had a place for her to be:
03:38 it's right here! Amen! We're so happy. We want to thank
03:41 all of you at home for your love and your prayers
03:43 and financial support. Thank you for what you do for the cause
03:46 of God. And you'll be so excited to learn that everybody
03:49 here in the audience has brought big donations for 3ABN
03:53 and they're going to give them to us a little later on.
03:54 We don't even have to ask. They're just going to
03:56 walk to each of us up here and hand us checks.
03:59 Isn't that? I didn't hear one Amen in here!
04:01 Amen! I said: "There you go! That's a good idea! "
04:04 You all have been "Amening" a lot, and then
04:05 all of a sudden it got quiet in there, right?
04:07 Well we're having a great time and we're so thankful
04:10 that you're coming from states all over and numerous countries.
04:13 And we're here to have a great time.
04:15 We're going to have first hour a lot of music. Yes.
04:18 We've got people like they're first-timers to
04:21 maybe sing in public like Wintley Phipps.
04:23 Right... right.
04:26 He sang a few times before. Big Gene McDonald is...
04:29 has sung around the world, and a lot of folks see him with
04:31 the Gaithers. He's here. And we have a number of other...
04:33 Ryan Day's father's going to be here. Yes!
04:36 First time to sing on 3ABN: Randy.
04:38 Great voice and guitar player.
04:40 And we've got other folk back there, so we'll keep that
04:42 a surprise. Pastor John, got a little quick word for us?
04:46 Yes. Keep praying for me. I'm ready to speak;
04:49 I'm not ready to sing... but we have enough singers
04:52 and I know the Lord has blessed anyway.
04:54 I think that we should just recognize God's presence
04:56 as He's been here from meeting to meeting
04:58 and ask the Lord to bless us tonight.
05:00 Should I just have a prayer? Yeah, sure! OK.
05:02 Let's just bow our heads. Loving Father in heaven,
05:05 we are just instruments. You are the One
05:08 who moves in us. In You we live and move
05:11 and have our being. And Lord, we don't want to use
05:13 any of Your gifts to rob You of Your glory.
05:16 And so, Lord, through this Camp Meeting
05:18 let each manservant, maidservant, everyone
05:20 You've called to ministry, whether the spoken word
05:23 or the word communicated through the ministry of music
05:26 may it be a part of Your grand plan
05:28 to draw someone closer to You.
05:30 And we give you the praise for the theme of the messages.
05:33 May souls be changed, converted, and prepared for
05:36 eternity by Your grace. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
05:41 Amen! Thank you. And Brother Kenny, you got
05:42 a real quick word for us?
05:43 Oh, I do. You know you were talking about the excitement
05:46 of Camp Meeting and I said: "If I could put them in order
05:49 how would we order it? I would say number one
05:51 we need the power of the Holy Spirit. Right? Number one.
05:53 Yes! You know, number two is certainly
05:55 the spoken word and the music that's so wonderful
05:59 and the third, just in my opinion, is you.
06:02 It's each one, because we have just so enjoyed
06:05 people coming by the booth and meeting people
06:07 and talking with them. Seeing old friends and making
06:11 new friends: that to me is so exciting.
06:14 So thank you for stopping by the booth.
06:16 Thank you for stopping by and patting us on the shoulder
06:18 and having a word in due season.
06:20 Let's don't stop. We've got the rest of the
06:21 Camp Meeting to do it. Amen! Amen!
06:23 OK, Sr. Yvonne... you singing tonight?
06:26 I am! Oh good! What are you going to be singing?
06:28 Alabaster Box. Oh, I love to hear her sing.
06:31 Incredible, incredible voice.
06:33 Sr. Shelley, have you said anything for us tonight here?
06:36 Give us a word. Well, my thought was this:
06:38 as sweet as the fellowship is
06:41 don't forget that we're here to worship the Lord.
06:45 And that's what Camp Meeting is all about is so that we can
06:49 grow spiritually but that we can return our praise to Him.
06:53 That's right... great. Well right after a short video
06:56 the next thing that we're going to have is... we're going to
06:59 have... Bro. Gene McDonald is going to come out and sing
07:01 for us.
07:04 I remember being in a suburb in Chicago,
07:08 Idalia, many many years ago.
07:09 Um-hmm. And we were looking for a parking space.
07:13 And there was this sign that caught my attention.
07:16 Um-hmm. And it said: Do not even think
07:19 of parking here. So I said to myself:
07:23 "Well, that sounds, you know, very threatening. "
07:26 But when I think about the Ten Commandments
07:29 it's a totally different picture
07:31 because it's a message from God
07:36 telling us He wants us to be happy. Um-hmm.
07:39 Well, we know that it reveals God's character...
07:43 God's love for us. Um-hmm.
07:45 I personally struggle every day to keep the Ten Commandments.
07:49 But by God's grace, you know, the Bible also tells me
07:52 that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
07:55 Amen. So don't be discouraged. Just trust in the Lord that
07:59 the Lord will give you the desire of your heart.
08:02 And the Ten Commandments? I thank the Lord for them
08:05 because it's a guide - yes - you know, and also it shows us
08:09 how the Lord protects even us. Um-hmm.
08:12 So when I think about that sign in Chicago
08:14 and I think about what God tells us,
08:16 Jesus said: "If you love Me, keep My commandments"
08:20 I say: "This is a wonderful plan.
08:22 This is a totally different picture God is trying to bring
08:25 to us because it really prepares us to be in companionship
08:28 with angels and people of other worlds. "
08:31 And I really believe it is truly a law of love
08:35 and liberty. Amen.
08:37 All right! Thank you John and Idalia.
08:40 So great to have Bro. Gene with us tonight.
08:43 Thanks for lettin' me be here.
08:44 Gene, you come all the way from? Originally from Kennett, MO.
08:48 Kennett, MO. Not too far. That's still in distance of
08:51 the Lambert's home-throwed rolls, right? That's right.
08:54 All right. Anybody been down there?
08:55 Not that far from southern Illinois.
08:57 Now you do a lot of... You've traveled around the world.
09:00 You do a lot of singing. You do concerts on your own
09:03 and you sing with the Gaithers a lot -
09:05 yes, sir - and travel with them
09:07 'cause Reggie tells me all about it.
09:08 And he loves you. You know he and Ladye love you a lot.
09:11 But what an incredible talent this man has.
09:15 What an anointing that he has!
09:18 And I look at him as a brother in the Lord.
09:20 It's great to be a friend and great to have you here tonight
09:23 to minister to our folks. You going to do a couple songs
09:25 to begin with? What are the names of the songs?
09:28 Love Lifted Me and He Kept Lovin' Me. Love it!
09:30 All right! Thank you.
09:34 Love lifted me! Love lifted me!
09:37 Love lifted me!
09:41 I was sinking deep in sin
09:45 far from the peaceful shore.
09:48 Very deeply stained within...
09:52 sinking to rise no more.
09:55 But the Master of the sea
09:59 heard my despairing cry.
10:02 From the waters lifted me
10:05 now safe am I!
10:09 Love lifted me!
10:13 Love lifted me!
10:16 When nothing else could help
10:19 love lifted me.
10:23 Love lifted me!
10:27 Love lifted me!
10:30 When nothing else could help
10:34 love lifted me.
10:37 Souls in danger: look above.
10:41 Jesus completely saves.
10:44 He will lift you by His love
10:48 out of the angry waves.
10:51 He's the Master of the sea,
10:55 billows His will obey!
10:58 He your Savior wants to be...
11:01 be saved today.
11:05 Love lifted me!
11:09 Love lifted me!
11:12 When nothing else could help
11:16 love lifted me.
11:19 Love lifted me!
11:23 Love lifted me!
11:26 When nothing else could help
11:30 love lifted me.
11:33 Love lifted me! Love lifted me!
11:37 Love lifted me!
11:46 Great song! Thank you so much.
12:09 I was lost. With loving hands
12:14 He reached for me.
12:19 So tenderly
12:21 He sought to give me victory.
12:29 Yet suddenly
12:32 I would not heed
12:35 the Savior's plea...
12:40 patiently
12:42 He kept lovin' me.
12:50 He kept right on loving
12:54 when there was no love in return.
13:00 He kept right on pleading
13:05 when His voice I would spurn.
13:10 And though I went my selfish way
13:15 and I failed Him miserably
13:21 patiently
13:23 He kept lovin' me.
13:36 Today I know
13:39 that it was only grace
13:42 that set me free.
13:46 God could have just
13:49 as easily gave up on me.
13:55 But persistently
13:59 He dealt with me
14:02 until I let Him in.
14:06 Oh, I thank my God
14:10 that He kept lovin' me!
14:17 He kept right on loving
14:21 when there was no love in return.
14:27 He kept right on pleading
14:32 when His voice I would spurn.
14:37 And though I went my selfish way
14:42 and I failed Him miserably
14:48 patiently
14:50 He kept lovin' me...
15:00 Praise the Lord!
15:03 He kept lovin'
15:10 me!
15:29 Hi! I'm Pr. Kenny Shelton along with my wife, Chris Shelton.
15:32 Hi. We're talking about the Ten Commandments
15:35 and our love for the Ten Commandments.
15:37 And I'm very grateful and thank- ful we have this opportunity
15:40 and privilege to be able to just share a little bit
15:41 and hopefully encourage somebody about what the commandments
15:44 mean to them. Yes. It really means to me
15:46 life and death. It means love; it means encouragement.
15:49 It means strength. It points out things in my life
15:51 that need to be changed, you know. I was raised in it,
15:54 praise God... you weren't. No... not all the time.
15:57 I certainly wasn't, no. In fact, only when I was at
16:00 my grandmother's house... And I did live with my
16:01 grandparents for a while. And back then it was more like
16:04 the do's and the don'ts... just kind of an outline
16:07 where you can't do this at this time
16:09 and you can do that. And I have learned as I've
16:12 grown older and grown closer to Christ
16:15 that they are really a hedge of protection.
16:18 They're a love letter as it were
16:20 to us from our heavenly Father.
16:22 He want so much to protect us...
16:24 to protect us from evil... and to re-create in us
16:28 His character. And they're a transcript of His character.
16:31 Amen. One of my mother's favorite verses was John 14:15.
16:35 And Jesus says: "If you love Me,
16:37 keep My commandments. " And I have learned to love Him.
16:40 I hope you're learning to love Him, too.
16:42 Amen. You know, the commandments... He talks about
16:44 first one is our duty to God. Yes!
16:48 And He said the second is our duty to man.
16:50 And very interesting... I was just reading the other day
16:52 how interesting it is. When that's really completed
16:54 in us: love God supremely;
16:57 love your fellow man, you know, as yourself
16:59 then the work of Christ will be complete in us
17:02 and we'll be ready for heaven. Amen!
17:04 So I have some growing to do. I don't know about you.
17:06 But I'm looking forward to this weekend spending time together
17:09 about the commandments and about loving Jesus.
17:11 They're a moral absolute.
17:13 I don't know what we would do without them.
17:15 We would have no moral guide.
17:17 And I hope that you will continue to study more about God
17:21 and accept His commandments as your moral guide
17:24 'cause He loves you so very very much.
17:29 Praise the Lord! Such an honor for me to introduce
17:32 my father, Randy Day.
17:34 A big inspiration to me musically and spiritually.
17:37 And the song we're going to sing is entitled Joy in the Morning.
17:40 A song that my mother used to stand beside his side and sing
17:44 and I want to sing it with him today.
18:23 Tears often fall
18:27 from my face of sorrow
18:33 as I walk on
18:37 through the long, lonely nights.
18:42 And often I cry...
18:47 it seems no one hears me.
18:52 But then through the shadows
18:55 I can see
18:57 the dawning of light.
19:02 Though shadows may fall
19:07 and my cross is heavy
19:12 and sometimes it seems I'll never see
19:17 another day dawning.
19:21 But I remember God's Word
19:26 though the night finds me weeping
19:31 'cause He's promised me
19:34 surely there'll be
19:37 joy in the morning.
19:43 Soon this old life
19:47 and all of its trials
19:52 will be left behind.
19:57 There's a new day a'dawning.
20:02 Those shadows of sin
20:07 will vanish forever
20:12 and forever I'll find
20:15 where the sun always shines
20:17 joy in the morning.
20:22 Though shadows may fall
20:27 my cross gets heavy
20:32 sometimes it seems
20:35 I'll never see another day dawning.
20:41 But I remember God's Word
20:46 though the night finds me weeping
20:52 'cause He's promised me
20:54 surely there'll be
20:57 joy in the morning...
21:02 He's promised me
21:04 surely there'll be
21:09 joy in the morning.
21:22 Amen!
21:27 The next song I'm going to sing:
21:30 God's Love Is Real.
21:32 God's love IS real, isn't it?
21:37 Amen!
21:44 Some of my songs
21:48 just come out love songs.
21:54 It could be
21:56 because that's all I feel.
22:04 I've got no place for feelin' down...
22:08 have no place to wear a frown
22:13 since I discovered that
22:16 God's love is real.
22:22 I've discovered that
22:25 God's love is genuine.
22:31 It's not a fantasy
22:35 or just a state of mind.
22:40 But it's the kind of thing
22:44 you can see and hear and feel.
22:49 In every way and every sense
22:54 I've found God's love is real.
23:01 All my friends have noticed
23:04 such a change in me
23:09 since my new attitude
23:13 has been revealed.
23:18 There's something about this Christian walk
23:23 affects how I live and talk...
23:26 since I discovered that
23:30 God's love is real.
23:35 Oh, I've discovered that
23:39 God's love is genuine.
23:44 It's not a fantasy
23:48 or just a state of mind.
23:52 Oh, but it's the kind of thing
23:57 you can see and hear and feel.
24:02 In every way
24:05 and in every sense I've found God's love is real...
24:13 in every way
24:15 and in every sense
24:17 I've found God's love is real.
24:29 Amen.
24:33 When I hear the Ten Commandments I remember of a story
24:36 that my grandfather told me when I was four years old
24:38 trying to cross the street.
24:40 My grandfather told me: "Un-uh, you'd better not
24:42 cross that street. " And I, of course, went ahead
24:45 and crossed that street. And he had to take me aside
24:48 and have a little discipline talk with me
24:50 on why I needed to stay off the street.
24:53 It was for my protection just like the Ten Commandments
24:56 is a protection for His loving people.
24:58 He wants to show His love for us.
25:00 It's interesting that the fourth commandment starts with
25:03 "Remember the Sabbath day. "
25:05 Again, that's talking about a relationship between us and God
25:09 just like the first four commandments are.
25:11 The fifth commandment says: "Honor your father
25:15 and your mother. " Again, you need to have time
25:18 with your parents. Just like God wants time with us on Sabbath
25:21 we need to have that time with our parents to honor them.
25:24 And we want to have that relationship with Christ.
25:27 So the Ten Commandments for me is all about relationships
25:30 and our protection that God wants to show with His people
25:34 and how much He loves us.
25:36 I look at the Ten Commandments in a little different way
25:40 but the same way:
25:42 as our relationship with our heavenly Father
25:44 and our relationship with our brothers and sisters.
25:48 It's interesting how the first four talk about
25:51 how our relationship with Jesus and with our heavenly Father
25:55 are very important.
25:56 When I look at our heavenly Father and He says:
25:59 "I'm a jealous God" I used to think that is
26:02 something that wasn't too good.
26:03 But then I realized how much Jesus loved me
26:06 and I thought: "Wow! He's a jealous God because
26:09 He wants to spend time with us. "
26:12 When I look at the other six commandments and I look at
26:15 how we should, like you said, honor our mother and father,
26:18 we shouldn't steal. You know, we don't want to lie.
26:22 And what does that do if we did do that?
26:24 It would break up relationship; it breaks up trust.
26:27 And to avoid that these Ten Commandments
26:31 are there for us to build a relationship
26:33 not only with our heavenly Father
26:35 but with our brothers and sisters.
26:48 I'm satisfied with
26:53 just a cottage below...
26:57 a little silver
27:01 and a little gold.
27:05 But in that city
27:09 where the ransomed will shine
27:13 I want a gold one
27:17 that's silver lined!
27:22 I've got a mansion
27:26 just over the hilltop
27:30 in that bright land where
27:34 we'll never grow old.
27:38 And someday yonder
27:43 we'll never more wander
27:47 but walk on streets that
27:51 are purest gold.
27:56 Don't think me poor or
28:00 deserted or lonely.
28:04 I'm not discouraged...
28:08 I'm heaven bound.
28:12 I'm but a pilgrim
28:16 in search of a city.
28:20 I want a mansion,
28:24 a harp, and a crown!
28:28 I've got a mansion
28:33 just over the hilltop
28:37 in that bright land where
28:41 we'll never grow old.
28:45 And some day yonder
28:49 we'll never more wander
28:54 but walk on streets that
28:58 are purest gold...
29:02 Oh, I've got a mansion
29:06 just over the hilltop
29:11 in that bright land where
29:15 we'll never grow old.
29:19 And some day yonder
29:24 we will never more wander
29:28 but walk on streets that
29:32 are purest gold!
29:37 Purest gold!
29:46 Amen! Hallelujah!
29:52 Amen! I look forward to spending eternity
29:56 with the One who means the world to me.
29:59 He's the Lion of Judah,
30:02 the sweet Rose of Sharon,
30:04 the fairest of ten thousand,
30:06 the Ancient of Days.
30:08 Alpha, Omega,
30:10 the King of all glory,
30:12 the bright Morning Star,
30:14 and the God of my praise.
30:17 Who can describe everything that He is?
30:21 All I can say is: "He's mine and I'm His. "
30:26 'Cause the One who walks on the wings of the wind
30:31 walks beside me.
30:35 And the One who's holding the world in His hand
30:40 holds my heart.
30:43 He spoke, and the world was created in space
30:48 and yet He was willing to die in my place!
30:52 Redeemer, Deliverer,
30:54 the ransom that sets my soul free...
31:00 Hallelujah!
31:02 What a Savior He is to me!
31:08 Anybody agree? Oh, yeah.
31:12 He's the strength in my weakness,
31:15 the joy in my sorrow,
31:17 the peace like a river that flows in my life.
31:21 He's new morning mercies
31:23 and hope for the journey
31:25 and love that will conquer the struggle and strife.
31:29 Who can describe everything that He is?
31:33 All I can say is: "He's mine and I'm His! "
31:39 'Cause the One who walks on the wings of the wind
31:44 walks beside me.
31:47 And the One who's holding the world in His hands
31:51 holds my heart.
31:55 He spoke, and the world was created in space
32:00 and yet He was willing to die in my place!
32:04 Redeemer, Deliverer,
32:06 the ransom that sets my soul free...
32:12 Hallelujah! What a Savior
32:15 He is to me!
32:20 Oh, I can't describe everything that He is.
32:24 All I can say is: "He is mine and I am His! "
32:31 'Cause the One who walks on the wings of the wind
32:35 walks beside me.
32:39 And the One who's holding this world in His hands
32:43 holds my heart.
32:47 He just spoke, and the world was created in space
32:51 and yet He was willing to die in my place!
32:55 Redeemer, Deliverer,
32:57 the ransom that sets my soul free...
33:02 Hallelujah! What a Savior
33:06 He is to me...
33:10 What a Savior
33:13 He is
33:17 to me!
33:32 Rosemary, you know for me the Ten Commandments
33:35 are so unique. The Bible tells me that God actually
33:38 wrote the Ten Commandments with His finger on stone.
33:42 It's something that is lasting; it doesn't disappear.
33:46 But what's interesting, I find, Rosemary, is that
33:48 the Ten Commandments are a revelation of God's character.
33:52 The God who made us set in place a system
33:55 for us to live happily, joyfully,
33:58 and peaceably upon this earth.
34:00 Laws are important. Wherever we go in society
34:03 there are laws. Not just for people making laws
34:06 but it's for the good of the whole society.
34:08 And God in His wisdom
34:09 saw that men have ways of twisting the laws
34:13 and perverting them. So God wrote them in stone
34:16 for you and I to know how to live a life
34:18 that He intended for us on this earth.
34:20 And that same law governs the universe.
34:25 The laws are the laws of love
34:27 and each one of us needs to grab hold of them,
34:30 learn them, memorize them.
34:32 Well for me, one of the things I think about with the
34:34 Ten Commandments is that a lot of Christians don't realize
34:40 that they are important. Jesus said:
34:43 "I give you two new commandments. " They say:
34:46 to: "Love God with all your heart and soul and mind
34:48 and to love your neighbor as yourself
34:50 and you don't have to keep the Ten Commandments. "
34:52 But Romans 13:8-10 tell me
34:56 that the Ten Commandments are all about loving your neighbor
35:01 as yourself. Verse 9 talks about some of the commandments
35:06 and finishes by saying:
35:08 "And if there be any other commandment
35:10 it is briefly comprehended in this saying,
35:13 namely: 'thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. '
35:16 Love worketh no ill to his neighbors.
35:18 Therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law. "
35:21 And in I John 4:8 it tells us that God is love.
35:25 It's a transcript of His character
35:27 and it is the law of God and we need to keep it.
35:30 We certainly do. Amen!
35:33 Thank you John and Rosemary all the way from Down Under
35:36 from Australia.
35:38 Shelley and I wrote a book some time ago
35:40 called The Ten Commandments Twice Removed.
35:42 We're going to have to do a new edition called
35:44 The Ten Commondments Twice Removed.
35:48 Thank you, Rose, for helping me.
35:50 I always called it Ten Commandments
35:51 but I found out it's Ten Commondments.
35:53 All right. Standing with me needs no introduction
35:56 but Bro. Wintley Phipps. Anybody know Br. Wintley?
35:59 Yes! All right... there you go.
36:01 And Wintley is here. We're so thankful he's here.
36:04 He's going to be preaching. When are you preaching?
36:05 In a few moments. All right, you're going to be right after
36:08 this. We're looking for that.
36:10 OK. Now... you're going to be doing a song
36:13 that literally, man, I'm hearing things about it
36:16 around the world. A song written by Lanny Wolfe.
36:20 And actually, Yvonne is co-writer with him -
36:22 right - called Glorious Church. Yes.
36:25 Tell us a little bit about it. Lanny Wolfe wrote it
36:27 and we had a number of other people we were looking at.
36:30 He said: "Only one person can deliver this
36:32 the way it should be, and that's Bro. Wintley Phipps. "
36:35 My, my. And he said to us, he said to us
36:37 "I've written over... " Lanny wrote Surely The
36:39 Presence of the Lord is in this Place,
36:41 and Whatever It Takes, and More Than Wonderful.
36:43 All of those songs. He said: "I've written over 700 songs.
36:47 This is the only song that God took the pen
36:50 from my hand and wrote it straight from the Bible. "
36:53 And so we're so thankful that you're here
36:57 and that this song when you heard it
36:59 you didn't hesitate, right? Absolutely not!
37:01 It's a song that tells about the triumph of the church of God
37:06 over Babylon,
37:10 confusion, and foolishness.
37:14 And I love singing it all over the world.
37:18 Wherever I go I share this song.
37:20 And it's one of those songs where we put our message
37:23 in really miniature in a song. And so I love doing it, Danny.
37:28 That's great. All right.
37:48 The shining jewel of the ancient world:
37:53 Babylon worshiped gods of stone.
38:00 Power and pride were evil twins
38:06 which ruled her heart and throne.
38:15 She was likened to a harlot;
38:20 fornication was in the wine
38:27 that filled the cup from which she drank
38:33 sins of every kind.
38:53 The golden head of Daniel's vision
39:00 would topple given time
39:06 as would nations, kings, and merchants
39:11 intoxicated by her wine.
39:21 The prophets tried to warn her:
39:27 "Read the writing on the wall.
39:32 Turn from her wicked ways
39:36 before the day
39:39 the wrath of God would fall. "
39:48 Oppressor of God's people:
39:54 Babylon so powerful and strong.
40:00 She thought she was invincible
40:06 but God would
40:09 prove her wrong.
40:24 An angel filled with glory
40:30 shall descend, with a shout proclaim:
40:36 "Babylon the great is fallen;
40:42 she will die in sin and shame. "
40:51 Another voice from heaven
40:57 will be heard across the earth
41:02 to give a warning loud
41:06 and clear to those
41:09 who claim to be God's church.
41:18 "Come out of her, My people.
41:24 Be not partakers of her sin.
41:30 For I'm coming back
41:33 for a glorious church
41:36 undefiled and pure within.
41:42 To him that worships Me
41:46 in spirit and truth
41:48 and is faithful to the end
41:53 I will say 'Well done! '
41:59 'A crown of life you've won. '
42:04 'Come sit and reign with me
42:10 throughout eternity'
42:16 thus saith
42:18 the Lord. "
42:24 "To him who worships Me
42:28 in spirit and truth
42:31 and is faithful to the end
42:36 I will say 'Well done! '
42:42 'A crown of life you've won. '
42:48 'Come sit and reign with Me
42:54 throughout eternity'
43:00 thus saith
43:04 the Lord. "
43:10 For Thine
43:14 is the kingdom,
43:17 and the power,
43:20 and the glory
43:24 forever!
43:32 God's
43:34 glorious church!
43:39 Oh Amen...
43:43 Amen!
44:25 The room grew still
44:28 as she made her way to Jesus.
44:32 She stumbled through the tears that made her blind.
44:40 She felt such pain
44:44 Some spoke in anger
44:47 Heard folks whisper: "There's no place here
44:51 for her kind. "
44:56 Still on she came
44:59 through the shame that flushed her face
45:02 until at last she knelt
45:05 before His feet...
45:09 and though she spoke no words
45:13 everything she said was heard
45:17 as she poured her love for the Master
45:22 from her box of alabaster.
45:27 I've come to pour
45:32 my praise on Him
45:34 like oil
45:38 from Mary's alabaster box.
45:43 Don't be angry
45:46 if I wash His feet with my tears
45:49 and dry them with my hair.
45:56 You weren't there
46:00 the night He found me
46:03 You didn't feel what I felt
46:06 when He wrapped His arms around me
46:10 And you don't know the cost
46:14 of the oil
46:16 in my alabaster box.
46:32 I can't forget
46:34 the way life used to be.
46:37 I was a prisoner
46:39 to the sins that had me bound.
46:44 And I spent my days
46:48 pouring my life without measure
46:51 into a little treasure box
46:53 I thought I'd found.
46:58 Until the day when Jesus came to me
47:04 and healed my soul
47:06 with the wonder of His touch.
47:11 Now I'm giving back to Him
47:14 all the praise He's worthy of.
47:17 I've been forgiven
47:19 and that's why I love Him so much!
47:27 I've come to pour
47:32 my praise on Him
47:34 like oil
47:37 from Mary's alabaster box.
47:42 Now don't be angry
47:45 if I wash His feet with my tears
47:48 and I dry them with my hair.
47:53 Oh, you weren't there
47:58 the night my Jesus found me
48:02 You didn't feel what I felt
48:05 when He wrapped His arms of love all around me.
48:09 And you don't know the cost
48:12 of the oil...
48:14 no, you don't know the cost
48:18 of my praise...
48:23 you don't know the cost
48:26 of the oil
48:30 in my alabaster
48:36 box.
48:48 Amen!
48:50 Thank you. Beautiful!
48:53 Wow! You've been blessed?
48:55 Amen!
48:56 Well I sat back there gettin' the goose bumps off of me.
49:00 I feel anointing of the Holy Spirit here. How about you
49:02 tonight? We've got a few more minutes.
49:04 And so we're going to be blessed... Tim, I'm sorry
49:07 I didn't introduce you earlier with Gene.
49:09 I didn't know you were playing.
49:10 One of the greatest piano players in America, honestly.
49:14 Incredible.
49:16 What a very very humble guy also. If you try to brag on him
49:20 he will like turn his head away. He won't, won't look at you.
49:23 Whatever. But amazing, amazing talent.
49:26 And we want to ask Big Gene to come out again.
49:30 That be all right? Big Gene... there he is.
49:31 I don't know why they call him Big Gene. He doesn't look
49:34 any bigger than me. So... let me see.
49:37 We're lookin' eye to eye. I see his eyes
49:39 and he sees mine, so there we go.
49:42 I'll lift you up so you can see more forward.
49:46 Thank you. Hey, what are you going to sing for us?
49:49 He Looked Beyond My Fault and Saw My Need. Oh, I love that!
49:52 Love it. Thank you.
50:00 Amazing grace
50:06 shall always be
50:10 my song of praise
50:14 for it was grace
50:20 that bought my liberty.
50:27 I do not know
50:33 just why He came
50:36 to love me so
50:41 He looked beyond
50:46 my fault and saw my need.
50:53 I shall
50:56 forever
51:00 lift my eyes
51:03 to Calvary
51:07 to view the cross
51:13 where Jesus died for me.
51:20 How marvelous
51:26 the grace that bought
51:29 my fallen soul!
51:35 He looked
51:37 beyond my fault
51:41 and saw my
51:45 need.
51:49 How marvelous
51:55 the grace that bought
51:59 my fallen soul!
52:09 He looked beyond
52:15 my fault
52:17 and saw
52:20 my
52:26 need.
52:38 Praise the Lord! Thank you! That was absolutely beautiful!
52:42 How many octave range do you have? Don't go away.
52:44 Come on up here a minute. We've got a couple minutes.
52:46 I work on a 2-1/2... maybe a little bit over.
52:50 Sounds like you've got about a four octave range!
52:52 Isn't that beautiful? Amen! What an amazing talent.
52:55 Aren't you glad he's on God's side?
52:57 I am for sure.
52:59 Tim, we haven't heard the folks sing out here
53:02 so I think we should do like He Touched Me.
53:05 Whatever song. Gene, what key do you like it in?
53:08 Whichever one you choose.
53:10 E flat, whatever Gene does. And then we're going to get
53:14 you all to sing He Touched Me with us, right?
53:16 You do the first verse, Gene.
53:20 Shackled by a heavy
53:25 burden,
53:29 'neath a load of guilt
53:33 and shame.
53:38 Then the hand of Jesus
53:43 touched me
53:46 and now I am no longer
53:52 the same. Let's sing it with him:
53:56 He touched me!
53:59 Oh, He touched me!
54:05 And oh, the joy
54:09 that floods my soul!
54:15 Something happened
54:20 and now I know
54:25 He touched me
54:27 and made me whole! Second verse:
54:35 Since I met this blessed
54:40 Savior,
54:44 since He cleansed
54:47 and made me whole
54:54 I will never cease
54:58 to praise Him!
55:03 I'll shout it
55:06 while eternity rolls!
55:12 Because He touched me!
55:16 Oh, He touched me!
55:22 And oh, the joy
55:27 that floods my soul!
55:32 Something happened
55:37 and now I know
55:42 He touched me
55:45 and made me
55:50 whole!
55:55 Heavenly Father, we thank you for Your many wonderful
55:57 blessings. We thank you, Lord, that
56:00 You could look down and see us as fallen, sinful man
56:04 and that You would make a plan of salvation
56:06 where we could someday be restored to the way
56:09 You created us, to rule and reign with You forever.
56:12 Father, I'm praying for each viewer, each listener
56:15 of 3ABN tonight that as this music has been imparted
56:18 by the different singers, the folk that are here,
56:21 and the sermons that are being preached
56:23 that Father, somewhere there'll be people around the world
56:26 be drawn closer to You and accept You as Lord and Savior
56:30 of their life. And tonight for each and every one of us
56:32 Lord, I rededicate my life and I ask You
56:35 for that brand new touch that only You can give.
56:38 Thank you for touching us.
56:40 Thank you for healing us, for making us whole.
56:43 In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
56:46 All right. Last chorus one more time; we got it.
56:50 He touched me!
56:53 Oh, He touched me!
56:57 Sounds good, y'all.
56:59 And oh, the joy
57:04 that floods my soul!
57:09 Something happened
57:14 and now I know
57:19 He touched me
57:21 and made me
57:26 whole.
