Yes. 00:36 All right, we got a great lively crowd, 00:38 a lot of folk here who love Jesus 00:41 and I can tell it because of the smile on your face. 00:44 Amen. And I think it's encouraging Jim, 00:47 when you travel around the world as much as we do to come 00:50 to places where people, some--we had a pastor one time, 00:54 he used to say "Are you folks happy?" 00:56 And they would say "Yes." 00:57 And he would say "Well, let your face know it." Yeah. 00:59 Because I can't tell from up here, but you all, 01:02 that's not true, you're all smiling and happy 01:04 and we're seeing you out on the camp grounds, 01:07 it's just wonderful gathering of God saints, 01:11 and we're just privileged here at 3ABN, 01:13 aren't we Jim to be a part of this. 01:15 And there is so many of our group from 3ABN here, 01:18 and in fact Brenda Walsh is back here a moment ago 01:23 and somebody asked her if she was your granddaughter? 01:26 What? And...Oh my-my. 01:30 So but anyhow we're having a lot of 01:33 really wonderful time in the Lord here. 01:36 And I want to tell you 01:39 that this is a beautiful part of the country. Yeah. 01:42 Right off the Hudson River. New York. That's right. 01:45 And High Park was the home of FDR, Franklin Roosevelt 01:52 and I've been there before, but Camille and I drove over 01:55 for just a few minutes and sat under a tree there in the car, 01:58 took a little rest, and it's a beautiful place. 02:02 If you haven't been to this part of the country to visit, 02:06 we would welcome you to come. 02:08 And this camp meeting goes again next weekend, next Sabbath. 02:11 Okay. So we hope they will come back. 02:13 Two weekends in a row, 02:15 we're gonna be having camp meeting, right? 02:16 Yeah, we won't be here next weekend, 02:18 but the camp meeting will be here next weekend. 02:19 Okay, good deal. 02:21 All right, then there is other camp meetings going on, 02:23 I guess in other parts of New York? 02:25 That's right. We'll be in the Greater New York 02:26 camp meeting at Camp Berkshire. Okay. 02:29 Next Sabbath. So 3ABN will have our trucks 02:31 and everything there next Sabbath. 02:33 That's right, and we've got some tremendous things 02:36 going on here this week. 02:37 We'll hear more about it later. 02:39 But Ben Roy is one of the most talented individuals 02:44 anywhere and he'll be taping some Kids' Time segments 02:48 here tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. 02:51 And we urge all young people like what, 13 under, 02:56 14 and under to come and be a part of that Kids' Time. 03:01 Thanks, so you'll hear more about that later. 03:04 And then on Wednesday, 03:05 they're gonna have a talent search. Okay. 03:07 And so this is gonna be a big week here in the New York area. 03:13 All right. It's beautiful area out here too. 03:16 Warm though isn't it inside here, I see a lot of fans going 03:20 and that's because it's very warm outside. 03:23 But I don't know what the temperature is here, 03:25 but I know in Southern Illinois yesterday, 03:27 we called back and they said it was 108 degrees. 03:30 Wow. So I don't think it's quite that hot here. 03:33 So we'd feel like we got a little cool streak here. 03:36 Right, yeah. I think it's pushing a 100 here, 03:39 but it had, I don't think it's quite reached yet. 03:42 How many of you here watch 3ABN? 03:44 Get to see a quite a bit. Wow. 03:45 Okay, most of you do and we're so thankful for that. 03:48 Thank you for your love and your prayers 03:51 and financial support of 3ABN, 03:53 because without you, we couldn't be going into all the world. 03:56 And Jim before we get to our music. 03:58 We have some great music today, 03:59 Reggie and Ladye Love Smith is here. 04:01 Again you enjoy their music this morning. 04:04 And they're such an anointing on their singing. Yes. 04:08 Dr. Yvonne Lewis, Melody, C.A. Murray, 04:11 so we got a number of singers. 04:13 We're gonna do some music. 04:14 But I wanna, Jim, maybe to update us just a little bit. 04:17 3ABN, we have a number of channels. 04:20 Yes, we do. And we're on a number of satellites 04:21 and where basically can we be seen and heard. 04:24 We're on nine satellites. 04:25 We can be seen around the world. 04:28 We have at least two billion people 04:31 can turn on their televisions. 04:33 How many? Two billion. 04:34 You say "B" with a... "B" with a "B" 04:37 Well. And billion with a "B" and two billion 04:42 can turn on their T.V. sets, another two billion 04:45 can watch by the internet. 04:47 But two billion can turn on their T.V. sets 04:49 without hooking anything else up and they can receive 3ABN. 04:54 And in the U.S., 1,200 cable outlets. 04:59 We're on the dish network, 9393 on Dish, FiOS, the Verizon FiOS. 05:06 So our coverage is tremendous but what so exciting 05:12 are the people that can pick us up and they don't know why? 05:16 And we have it happened over and over again. 05:20 Somebody will get 3ABN on their television 05:22 and there is no logical reason. Yeah. 05:26 Why they should be receiving it? 05:28 Absolutely. In fact, if I had time 05:30 to do that for just, he jogged, 05:32 we don't really plan this, we pray 05:34 and ask the Lord to, but you like to hear 05:36 a little miracle stories, don't you? Yes. 05:38 I love them because it encourages me 05:40 that God's still alive and on throne, right? Right. 05:43 And we need to know that from time to time, 05:45 because the devil is out here and he's got all these things 05:47 going to try to distract us and we need 05:50 to be keeping our eyes on Jesus. 05:52 But I know one time I got a call from somebody 05:55 who said to me this was years ago before there was 3ABN Radio. 06:00 And he called and they said a man 06:02 wants to talk to you, would you call him? 06:03 And he said, I wanna thank you for 3ABN Radio. 06:07 He said I've always had an interest in prophecy. 06:10 He said I listen to 3ABN every morning on my way to work. 06:14 And I said, where do you live? 06:15 And he said Denver, Colorado. 06:17 And I said before without thinking which I do quite often, 06:22 sometimes I said well, you were in Denver, 06:25 you're driving to work in Denver, Colorado 06:27 and you're hearing us on the radio everyday? 06:29 And he said yes, 3ABN Radio. 06:31 And I said, well, I'm sorry we don't--we're television, 06:34 we're not radio at the time, you know? 06:36 Yeah. And I said we don't have any channels. 06:39 He said, sir, how do you think I got this number to call you? 06:43 He said, I'm driving down the road and everyday 06:46 I've been listening to your prophecy programs. 06:49 And we weren't even on radio. 06:52 There were no radio stations that we knew of carrying us. 06:55 Then out in Washington State, a lady called 06:58 and one of her workers in the mail room was talking to her 07:03 and she said what an answer to prayer. 07:05 She said, I have been praying to understand prophecy for months. 07:09 This yesterday morning, she said I turned on--this morning 07:13 I turned on my television set, 07:15 and there you had that Bible prophecy studies 07:18 on Daniel and Revelation. 07:19 I'd like to have some of those, could you send them to me? 07:23 And the person said, oh, sure, we'll be happy too. 07:26 How are you watching 3ABN? 07:28 Oh, through television. 07:29 He said, why, I know but I mean, are you watching through UHF, 07:33 like is there a station in your area? 07:35 Are you watching on a Dish network? 07:37 Or how are you watching? 07:39 She says oh, I don't have anything, I just got an antenna. 07:42 Well, where do you live? 07:44 Well, our downlink stations 07:45 will cover maybe 30 to 40 mile radius. 07:48 She lived over a 100 miles from any downlink station, 07:52 from any T.V. station and she said this morning 07:55 is the first time that I ever got this programming. 07:59 I wrote your name and your number down to get these studies 08:05 and by this evening, I can't get your channel anymore. 08:08 So could someone help me? 08:09 So we had a live program that night. 08:12 I said are there any Adventist ladies out here who would like 08:16 to meet a new friend and she's interested in Bible studies. 08:19 Three women called in, Adventists from her area, 08:22 gave her Bible studies and she joined 08:24 the church, accepted the Lord. Praise the Lord. 08:26 So it's amazing that, you know, we do our part, but God's 08:31 really setting it all of this. Amen, amen. 08:33 This whole thing is a set up, isn't it? 08:35 It's a set up in our favor. 08:36 And God has set it up. 08:38 He said that, "He died that not one should perish 08:40 but all should have everlasting life." 08:44 So that's the kind of God that we serve. 08:46 And it's amazing that we live in a time that God 08:49 has given us technology to reach the entire world. 08:53 Yes. It is, then you know, we ought to go individually, 08:57 however if some of you live down in the city, you know, 09:01 that you cannot get into so many of those buildings. 09:05 They won't let you pass the guard. 09:08 And but television gets into those living rooms. 09:13 It gets into their homes, and they are able to receive it. 09:18 We have a big move on now around the world, Elder Ted Wilson 09:22 got this launched for us to reach 09:24 the big cities of the world. 09:26 You have in your conference the biggest city 09:28 we have in the United States, New York City. 09:31 And the only way I believe that we're going to be able 09:35 to really make a total impact upon these cities 09:40 is with television and radio. 09:43 Getting behind those doors, people 24x7, anytime 09:48 they want to hear the message, they can by turning it on. 09:55 And you know, anytime 09:56 they want to talk about it, we may not be available. 09:58 We may be working or we may be sleeping, 10:00 but 3ABN is there for them 24 hours a day 10:06 and they can turn on at their convenience and study the word. 10:10 There was another man in Kentucky 10:12 that called me, they said he really 10:13 wants to talk to you, so he told me 10:16 his story and here's the story. 10:18 He said this week I'm going to an Adventist church 10:21 for my very first time. 10:23 He said, but I need to tell you how it happened. 10:25 I live in Kentucky, I'm out in the country 10:28 and he said I'm kind of retired, so I have this little collocate 10:32 that you can drive in and go around and I love 10:35 planting flowers and keeping it nice, but people will end up 10:39 going down my road and it's a dead-end road, 10:41 so I put signs up, dead-end, no trespassing, do not enter, 10:47 so that no one would come in my road 10:49 because when they turn around, 10:51 they'll get into my flower bed and what have you. 10:53 So he said six weeks ago, I started, 10:56 turn on my television set and 3ABN was there. 11:00 And he said, it just really I can't explain it 11:03 but it's something I've been looking 11:05 for all my life, this truth. 11:07 So he said I decided you know what, Lord, 11:10 I wanna go visit an Adventist church, 11:12 but he said I don't know where there is one? 11:15 Where's there an Adventist church? 11:17 I have no idea. 11:18 So he said I've never really prayed, 11:21 but I said well, I'll tell you what I'm gonna do? 11:23 I'm gonna pray and ask God 11:26 if he wants me to go to Adventist church, 11:28 He'll have to send somebody to me, all right? 11:32 You're with me so far? Amen. 11:34 You have to send somebody to me 11:35 because I don't--he looked in the phonebook, 11:37 he said I couldn't find 11:39 an Adventist church in the phonebook. 11:40 So he said for my first time, I actually knelt down, 11:44 I had seen some pastors on 3ABN kneeling. 11:46 I knelt down and I said, Lord, if you want me to go 11:49 to an Adventist church, You have to send somebody to me 11:53 and he said all of a sudden, I heard this noise, 11:56 it wasn't a car, it was a big truck like a big truck out 12:00 in front of me, and my first thought was oh, no, a truck 12:05 cannot turn around without tearing my yard up, 12:08 so he said since I've never prayed to God before, 12:11 I said, Lord, I'm sorry if this is okay, 12:13 but I've got to take a break for a minute, 12:15 I got to go talk to somebody. 12:17 So he said, I was really upset, I threw open my window, 12:22 there was a big truck and on the side of it said 12:25 Seventh-day Adventist community services. 12:30 Seventh-day-- now what he'd been doing, 12:32 he was on his knees, couldn't find an Adventist church 12:35 and said, Lord, if you want me to go to an Adventist church, 12:38 you have to send somebody to me. 12:40 So he said I ran outside, the guy got out of his truck 12:44 and he saw that it was too big with--he was worried 12:47 about messing up my flowers 12:49 and I said I want-- he said sir, I'm so sorry. 12:52 I just want to know one-- I've got one question, 12:55 are you a Seventh-day Adventist? 12:57 And the guy said, yeah, he was still very nervous, 13:00 you know, yes, I'm, but I'm so sorry. 13:02 No, that's okay. 13:04 You're a Seventh-day Adventist? Yes, I am. 13:07 I was just praying that the Lord and the guy 13:09 said well, I'm sorry that I drove through here 13:12 and that I turned around but he said, you know, really? 13:16 The driver was trying to defend himself, 13:19 actually since you don't have a big area, 13:21 you should put up a sign for people 13:23 maybe let them know it's a dead-end. 13:25 He said sir, it's-- I have several signs, dead-end, 13:29 no trespassing, do not enter, all of those things. 13:33 And the driver said, I never saw one of those. 13:35 You think the angels had--maybe covered his eyes right then? 13:40 Yeah. You see God is in the business 13:42 of creating miracles. Amen. 13:44 I have reason to believe in miracles like the dawn expects 13:47 the sun and I'll not accept defeat 13:49 for my trust in Him is complete 13:51 and my victory has already been won. Amen. 13:54 And that I praise the Lord. Amen. All right. 13:57 It is and so we see this kind of things happen all the time. 14:01 We hear about them and they are exciting to us. 14:04 So we know they're exciting to you, because we will have people 14:08 run down the hall with a note saying listen, 14:11 we just talked to this person and guess what? 14:14 And they'll give us an experience 14:16 like this that has taken place. 14:18 I believe that God is getting ready to mushroom 14:21 this thing clear across the world. 14:24 We already are seeing, our message is out in Russian. 14:28 I'm praying for the day that somebody comes forward 14:31 and says pastor I'll give the $20,000 a month 14:36 that it would take to put the Russian Network 14:42 on that satellite that goes across 14:45 all the former Soviet Union. 14:47 And at $20,000 a month, 14:50 we could reach millions with the gospel. 14:52 And I believe that day is coming 14:55 and that's an inexpensive way 14:57 of reaching all of those people. 14:59 But we have seen so many things like this 15:03 that it does keep us always excited 15:06 and enthusiastic about how God is spreading the gospel. 15:11 But we want to give God all honor 15:13 and glory and all praise, and I wrote a little song 15:16 a couple of years ago and it's just entitled, "All my Praise." 15:36 All my praise 15:39 I give You all my praise 15:47 That's all I have 15:52 To offer You 15:58 I now build a sanctuary 16:03 So deep within my heart 16:09 Oh, and all my praise 16:13 I offer up to You 16:22 I love You Lord, 16:25 Oh how I love You Lord 16:33 I bare my heart 16:37 And soul to You 16:44 I'm an empty broken vessel 16:49 Filled with hurt and pain inside 16:54 Still I offer up 16:58 All my praise to You 17:07 Fill me Lord, 17:12 Oh please fill me Lord 17:18 With Your Holy Spirit 17:24 Fill me now 17:30 For I long 17:33 For Your anointing 17:35 That I may work for You 17:42 Fill me Lord, 17:45 Touch me Lord just now 17:53 All my praise, 17:58 I give You all my praise 18:06 That's all I have to offer You 18:16 I now build a sanctuary 18:22 So deep within my heart 18:28 All my praise. 18:32 I offer up to You 18:34 All my praise I offer up to You 18:38 Oh, and all my praise 18:43 I offer up to You 18:47 All my praise 18:56 All right, well, it's my privilege 18:58 at this time I'm gonna-- we're gonna really get 19:01 into some great music, some great people. 19:04 See what I do, I've been doing this now 3ABN, 19:06 this November, the idea came 28 years, 19:10 November will be 28 years. 19:12 We've been on the air about 25 years. 19:14 So even somebody like me that may be 19:17 from a little country area and a little bit 19:19 of hill belly maybe, if we learn things after so many years, 19:23 one of the things that I've learned 19:25 as you don't sing after Reggie and Ladye Love Smith, 19:28 you sing before them, right? 19:31 You don't want to be the one to come up after Reggie 19:33 and Ladye Love, at least I don't anyway, 19:34 some of these other folks may feel comfortable 19:36 about it so, I got my little song out of the way. 19:40 But I want to invite Reggie and Ladye Love Smith 19:42 to come up, they're all the way from Nashville, Tennessee. 19:45 It's all right to make them welcome. 19:47 Reggie and Ladye Love sing, 19:49 I don't know if any of you here watch the Gaithers, 19:51 who watch the Gaither videos, 19:53 that you will see these folk on the Gaithers. 19:55 They travel around the world, they just got back from Norway. 19:58 They actually are back up singers on Grand Ole Opry. 20:02 In fact they came home from Norway the other night, 20:04 did a couple of nights at Grand Ole Opry and then came here, 20:08 because you would all had asked for them 20:10 and we wanted them to come 20:12 and you all wanted them to come. 20:13 We appreciate and love you guys so much. 20:16 They're not only great talents 20:18 and they have an incredible individual gifts 20:22 that God has given them, but they're wonderful people. 20:24 They love Jesus and Dr. Lewis and Melody and I, 20:28 who is traveling with them say, 20:29 I don't know anybody you could travel 20:31 with them and have more fun. 20:32 Everybody knows they're Christians 20:33 and know that Christians have fun. 20:35 And I think Christians ought to be the happiest 20:37 most excited people on planet earth, shouldn't we? Yes. 20:41 We go into a restaurant somewhere and people come over 20:44 and it's like what in the world 20:45 and you see people looking at us, 20:47 and I've actually had people say, 20:49 oh, you guys have so much fun, what are you talking about, 20:53 you know? So we do, we have a great time, 20:55 but I'm so thankful that they're here today 20:57 and that they consented to sing for us, and minister to us. 21:00 You guys are gonna do several songs. 21:02 Then we'll have you back a little bit later on the program. 21:05 Thank you, Reggie and Ladye. 42:25 We have hard times. 42:27 But I was thinking about the things that we do have 42:30 and that we can praise the Lord for, 42:32 and that we can be grateful for. 42:34 And so I started thinking and I have to use this analogy 42:36 before one morning my car wouldn't start 42:38 and I was trying to get to somewhere 42:40 and I was running late and I'm ahhh, you know 42:43 and then I remember but I have a car. 42:46 And you think, I started 42:48 thinking in a different perspective in my life, okay. 42:50 Here are the things that don't have 42:51 or here are the things they're not so great right now, 42:53 but here are the great things right now. 42:56 In my life, I have my family, I have my friends, 42:59 I have wonderful memories 43:00 and people like from all over that I met along the way. 43:03 They share their stories 43:05 and given me hope and encouragement. 43:07 And so I just want to ask you today 43:09 that as we sing this song, 43:11 that if you could just think about your life and the things 43:14 that you have to be thankful for, 43:16 that you can be grateful for, 43:17 because life is so short, isn't it? Murray 52:39 that says he's singing with you. 52:41 And I said well, I don't know C.A. if he can sing or not. 52:44 I mentioned this morning, I know most black people can sing, 52:46 but you know, there is always exceptions to the rule 52:50 and I don't know if he can sing and I'm not sure 52:52 I want to get up and sing on live television 52:54 without practicing with someone, 52:56 but it just occurred to me, we're doing that exactly now. 52:59 We haven't sung this song maybe once in three years 53:02 and we did not go over it. 53:04 So but we did and C.A. did know his part, 53:07 did a great job on it 53:09 and so we became great friends and brothers. 53:12 Here's the real story. 53:17 I was living in the house down here at the end of the road, 53:20 the old by feral house. 53:22 He came to my house and ate my food. 53:27 And I figure, if you go eat my food, 53:29 you got to let me sing, isn't that fair? 53:32 Yeah, tit for tat, so it was all right. 53:35 And we did it. Murray, you're gonna sing a couple of songs for us. 57:27 That's what they told me. 57:29 I'm so thankful that we-- how long have you been at 3ABN? 57:32 Seven years. Seven years? 57:34 Seven years. That's a great number. 57:36 But we like it to go a lot more. 57:38 C.A. and I've not only become great friends 57:40 but I really consider him a brother. 57:42 I love him with all my heart and he and Irma, 57:44 what a great family you all have. 57:46 What a great inspiration he is, 57:49 one of the hardest working people 57:51 that I have ever met in my life. 57:52 He's early at morning, he's late at night 57:55 and he's focused on what God has called him to do. 57:58 And I know that you probably had a lot of jobs 58:00 that doesn't require so much of your time and organization 58:04 but all of the production, he's our production manager. 58:07 We have him wearing hats from pastoring, 58:09 you name it to counseling if we need it to, whatever else. 58:12 But C.A., you're just such a great addition to 3ABN 58:15 and I know that God had a plan 58:17 and directing you to be a part of this ministry 58:19 in the closing moments of earth's history. 58:24 In the second volume of Testimonies, page 318, 58:28 Ellen White writes a letter to a woman 58:32 who had been ill for a long, long time. 58:34 And you know when you are in pain 58:36 for a long period of time, it does something to your mind 58:39 and can do something to your relationship 58:41 with God if you let it. 58:42 Her friends began to tell her that 58:44 your protracted illness is testament 58:46 that God is not pleased with you. 58:48 You got something in your life, 58:50 you need to get rid off and the pain will go away. 58:52 So they were feeding her bad information 58:54 that she was beginning to buy into. 58:57 And so Ellen White was shown her case 58:59 and wrote her a long and pointed letter 59:02 that appears in Second Testimonies 318, 319. 59:05 She said a couple of things. She said number one, 59:07 you worry too much. 59:09 She says you're about to worry yourself out of the hand of god. 59:14 Your problem is you take your problems to the Lord 59:17 and instead of leaving him there, 59:18 you pick them back up and carry them. 59:20 She said you're about to worry yourself 59:23 out of Jesus' hands and we can do that. 59:26 She said if you'd just trust God, 59:30 you will find that He is a constant 59:34 and consistent helper and friend. 59:37 She says what you've done is allow the devil 59:41 to put you in prison. 59:44 You need to come to the Lord and go free. 59:49 You need to get free. 59:51 She says, if you will do that,, 59:52 she says, first of all talk faith and hope. 59:56 Don't always talk about the blues, and how bad you are, 59:58 and how big and bad the devil is, talk about Jesus. 01:00:02 Then she said something powerful, 01:00:03 last paragraph first line, one of the most powerful 01:00:06 statements Ellen White ever made. 01:00:07 She said this to this lady. 01:00:08 She said, you need to hope and trust in Jesus. 01:00:13 If you cannot, we will trust in Jesus for you. 01:00:19 Then she says, God accepts our faith in your behalf. 01:00:26 Powerful statement. 01:00:27 God accepts our faith in your behalf, 01:00:31 so the next time you get on your knees 01:00:33 and pray for a wayward child, or some of us not in the faith, 01:00:38 the next time you intercede for someone, 01:00:41 remember there's a God in heaven 01:00:43 who accepts your faith in their behalf, amen. 01:00:48 Amen. 01:11:08 I get to introduce somebody that I've baptized, 01:11:12 oh, many, many years ago, 01:11:14 and she had been in the church, grew up in the church, 01:11:18 went to local college 01:11:20 and discovered that she could sing. 01:11:23 And the world discovered that she could sing 01:11:26 and she's spend a lot of time singing for the world 01:11:30 and then she came back to the Lord 01:11:32 with a number of people who came to Ephesus church 01:11:35 who determine that there was certain kinds of jingles 01:11:39 and commercials that they wouldn't sing anymore. 01:11:42 And Yvonne was one of them. 01:11:43 They weren't going to sing anything for liquor, 01:11:45 they weren't going to sing anything for smoking, 01:11:47 they weren't going sing anything that was bad for your health. 01:11:50 And immediately they took a massive cut in pay, 01:11:53 because the liquor people and the cigarette people 01:11:56 and the people who had those things said, 01:11:58 if you don't want to sing we'll find somebody else. 01:12:00 But they determined 01:12:02 that they're gonna do this for Jesus. 01:12:05 And so she switched careers, went back to school, 01:12:08 got a degree as a naturopathic doctor, 01:12:11 is a doctor of naturopathic medicine. 01:12:13 She's now our General Manager of our Dare to Dream Network 01:12:18 and works tirelessly, works very, very hard. 01:12:22 It's an urban focused network. 01:12:25 It is 3ABN with a little cayenne and pepper thrown in. 01:12:32 I only had one problem with Yvonne, 01:12:34 never came to church on time. 01:12:36 Oh, I can't believe you're telling this. 01:12:40 But I could forgive her because every week 01:12:43 when she came to church, 01:12:44 she brought a line of people to church with her, 01:12:46 see any pastor will take that. 01:12:48 She would bring four, five, six, seven, eight, nine people, 01:12:51 bring them right down the aisle 01:12:52 and sit them right on the front row. 01:12:54 And I see that the current pastor 01:12:56 of the Ephesus church here, 01:12:57 they would open up their notebooks and take notes, 01:12:59 so I didn't mind that she came late, 01:13:01 because she brought whole entourage with her 01:13:03 and some of those people we baptized, 01:13:04 in fact a bunch of them we baptized. 01:13:06 So she's got stars in her crown, 01:13:08 so I forgive her for being late. 01:13:09 All these years I haven't forgot, but I do forgive. 01:13:11 Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. 01:13:13 She has come to 3ABN and done a fabulous job. 01:13:17 She is a tireless hard worker. 01:13:20 And God has blessed her ministry. 01:13:21 We do have a loving family at 3ABN. 01:13:24 We not only like each other, we love each other. 01:13:27 Amen. Praise the Lord. 01:13:48 It is so good to be home, 01:13:50 you know this is my home conference, Northeastern. 01:13:54 And so the camp meetings, you know, 01:13:56 I used to look forward to it 01:13:57 and in fact I lived here for a while, 01:14:00 okay, okay, I have to tell you a secret. 01:14:03 Let me tell you a secret about me. 01:14:05 I am directionally challenged. 01:14:09 So I was riding around here, 01:14:11 I lived up here for years 01:14:13 and I was in the car with Danny, Melody, 01:14:16 Reggie and Ladye and there were saying, 01:14:18 okay, so which way do we turn to get back? 01:14:21 And I'm like let's go left, took us about a half hour 01:14:25 out of the way, I mean I'm just the worst. 01:14:27 So pray for me, pray for my sense of direction. 01:14:32 Thankfully, the Lord is blessing 01:14:34 and my sense of direction is not impeding Dare to Dream. 01:14:38 I'm gonna tell you a little bit more about that later. 01:14:41 I want to tell you right now that I'm amazed 01:14:44 that what God has done in my life. 01:14:46 You see when I went to 3ABN two years ago, 01:14:50 I had left alternative medicine or I left acupuncture. 01:14:56 I was doing acupuncture in traditional Chinese medicine 01:14:59 and the Lord took me out of that 01:15:01 and my income dropped again about 95 percent. 01:15:07 But I knew because God had been so faithful all the time. 01:15:13 I knew He was gonna take care of me and He did. 01:15:17 He brought me out of that and put me into Dare to Dream 01:15:21 which is more than I could ask or think. 01:15:24 So I want to let you know today 01:15:26 that whatever challenge you are facing, 01:15:28 don't be discourage, 01:15:30 because God does have something great for you. 01:15:33 And wonders never cease 01:15:36 about what God can do in your life. 01:21:02 I really want to see all your hands go up. 01:21:05 Can we have that promo to show? 01:21:11 I grew up in a home 01:21:12 that we were below the poverty level, my father was disabled. 01:21:15 We had--five kids in the family, 01:21:17 seven of us and not much of an income. 01:21:20 I guess I'm no different than a lot other folks 01:21:22 whether in inner city 01:21:23 and you grow up with a certain economic, 01:21:26 you might say disadvantage, 01:21:28 the difference to me is was my folks were Christians 01:21:32 and they introduce me to Jesus. 01:21:33 And by doing that it allowed me to dare to dream 01:21:38 to do more than what I can do. 01:21:40 Maybe I could with God's help 01:21:41 build a television network that would reach the world 01:21:44 with an undiluted Three Angels' messages, 01:21:46 one that would counteract the counterfeit. 01:21:49 3ABN by counteracting the counterfeit 01:21:52 is to say, you know what? 01:21:53 That Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 01:21:56 That's what we wanna present, 01:21:57 but there are many ways of doing it and many flavors, 01:22:00 the gospel can take on many flavors, 01:22:03 but the inner city, there are specific needs 01:22:06 and we have dare to dream that it will work. 01:22:19 Right after graduate school, 01:22:21 I started working in the field as a social worker 01:22:24 and I was working in the inner city. 01:22:27 And I had a chance to see what was going on there, 01:22:30 and that was in the 70s. 01:22:32 And I'm looking at where we are now 01:22:34 and we're actually worse than we were in the 70s. 01:22:38 Sixty percent of young me who are over 18 01:22:42 by the time they are 30 will be in prison. 01:22:45 One out of three, 01:22:46 African-American male is either in prison 01:22:49 or supervised by the court system. 01:22:52 We have over 70 percent of the votes 01:22:55 in the community are out of wedlock. 01:22:58 The child that was born in slavery time 01:23:01 had more of a chance to be raised 01:23:03 by two parent household than a child born today 01:23:07 in the African-American community. 01:23:09 That is so frightening, that is so disturbing. 01:23:12 How did we get here? 01:23:14 And how do we get out of here? 01:23:17 The people in the inner cities are languishing and suffering 01:23:20 and we have a message for them. 01:23:23 We have hope for them and it's Jesus. 01:23:26 There are many people who will never watch 01:23:29 and have the privilege of watching 3ABN 01:23:32 that most of us see around the world. 01:23:35 Dare to Dream is gonna add to the complete mission, 01:23:37 Jesus said "Go ye into all the world." 01:23:39 Incredible tools that can work with God's blessing. 01:23:54 That just gave you just a little bit of the flavor. 01:23:56 You saw the station ID 01:23:58 and you heard the station ID music. 01:24:01 We really have looked out the various challenges 01:24:04 that affect inner city residents, poverty, 01:24:07 crime, sexual purity, 01:24:10 money management issues, health issues 01:24:13 and we've designed programming around those needs. 01:24:16 So this is something that you can share with others. 01:24:20 You can tell people, hey, check out Dare to Dream 01:24:23 and then we can really build the local church. 01:24:26 We can--as people watch, they will get tools for living, 01:24:30 and mostly, they will get Jesus. 01:24:33 That is the most important thing. 01:24:35 So make sure that you please tune in. 01:24:39 We need three things from you. 01:24:40 First of all, we need your prayers, 01:24:42 because this is a major undertaking. 01:24:45 We're going up against the kingdom of darkness. 01:24:48 You know that Satan wants the air waves for himself. 01:24:51 We wanna reclaim the air waves for Jesus. 01:24:54 Can I get an amen? Amen. 01:24:56 So we really want you to really pray 01:24:59 that God is gonna open the doors 01:25:01 with request number two of you to go to your cable companies, 01:25:06 write them, call them, tell them, 01:25:08 that you want Dare to Dream on cable. 01:25:11 We want people to be able to just turn on the television 01:25:14 and watch Dare to Dream. And so all your musical instruments. 01:34:35 So it's a wonderful, a way to come in 01:34:38 and have a live talent search. 01:34:41 It is amazing how that kids ministries, 01:34:45 mainly largely due to the work 01:34:48 of the Micheff sisters are reaching out. 01:34:50 How many people have taken the Bible course now? 01:34:53 Well, I'm really excited. 01:34:55 We have right now we started about 10 years ago, almost 11, 01:34:59 God impressed me to start a Bible study club for kids 01:35:02 and I didn't have anybody to do it and I was really, 01:35:06 you know what, my plate was full, 01:35:07 but I knew God wanted me to do that. 01:35:09 So I was able to organize it, get it going and I said mom, 01:35:13 would you just take over for this, 01:35:15 for just a couple of weeks till I can find somebody. Yeah. 01:35:19 That was almost 11 years ago. 01:35:21 And we want to thank Bernice Micheff, 01:35:23 and her husband Jim for all the great work 01:35:26 that they do for 3ABN. 01:35:28 They worked tirelessly on Kids Club. 01:35:30 My mom just eats, drinks, 01:35:31 sleeps it all day long, Kids Club. 01:35:34 Can I share with them, Jim? Please. 01:35:36 Today, we have over 20,000 children 01:35:41 enrolled in Bible studies. Twenty thousand. 01:35:43 From over 100 different countries around the world. 01:35:45 Praise the Lord. Amen. 01:35:48 In fact, Pastor Gilley, just this morning 01:35:50 as I was getting up my cell phone, 01:35:52 I have one of those iPhones 01:35:53 and it dings when an email comes in. 01:35:55 I received an email from a young man, 01:35:57 his name is Orator from Zambia, 01:36:00 and Orator if you're listening 01:36:01 I want to tell you, 01:36:03 thank you so much for that letter. 01:36:04 He emailed me and said 01:36:06 he had just completed the Kids Club lessons. 01:36:08 He had just received his free Bible 01:36:10 that comes in the mail once you complete the lessons. 01:36:13 And he said I want you to know 01:36:15 those lessons have changed the course of my life. Amen. 01:36:20 He said I'm now planning 01:36:23 on meeting you in the kingdom. Amen. 01:36:25 So it's really, Jim, such a blessing 01:36:28 and I get letters like that everyday. 01:36:30 I get thousands of letters every month just like that. 01:36:32 There's not a day goes by someone doesn't tell me 01:36:35 they've given their heart to Jesus. Amen. 01:36:38 Let me tell you, Brenda, we at camp meeting, 01:36:40 we heard something about love rules. 01:36:43 Tell us about love rules. 01:36:44 I will, in fact, before I get to that 01:36:47 I got to share with you one more thing. All right. 01:36:49 Okay, because that's really an important project. 01:36:52 I want to share with you about a new project 01:36:53 that I want you to pray about 01:36:55 that we're trying to launch for next year 01:36:57 called Kids Time Missions. 01:36:59 And it's about really Kids Time program, 01:37:02 we're going over to other countries 01:37:04 and featuring children helping children. 01:37:07 And Danny Shelton actually wrote the song 01:37:09 for that called Kids Time Missions. 01:37:11 And he wrote that song in 4 minutes and 32 seconds. 01:37:14 I know because from the time I called him to ask him 01:37:18 and the time he called me back 01:37:19 and saying it on the phone, 01:37:21 that's what my phone said 4 minutes and 32 seconds. 01:37:23 And I got to thinking about the other day, 01:37:25 it was probably really less than that 01:37:27 because it probably took him time 01:37:28 to go get his guitar and sit down, right? Right. 01:37:31 So isn't God good, I know that's of the Lord 01:37:33 and I do want to talk about this incredible project. 01:37:37 And we also have VBS coming, you know that? 01:37:40 Exactly, we got to talk about VBS. 01:37:42 Have you all heard about our VBS at 3ABN? Okay. 01:37:45 Yes, well, it's happening July 16 through 20 01:37:49 and we are going to be live 01:37:51 every night from 6:30 Central Time 01:37:54 to 8 P.M. Central Time, and we are going 01:37:57 to be bringing VBS around the world. 01:38:01 And it's gonna be an incredible program. 01:38:03 It's gonna be hosted by my sisters 01:38:05 Linda Johnson and Cinda Sanner 01:38:07 which you know as Aunty Linda and Miss Cinda and myself. 01:38:11 Jimmy Rhodes, the talented Jimmy Rhodes 01:38:13 is gonna be there on the organ and I'll be on the piano. 01:38:16 We're going to have so much fun. 01:38:17 Ranger Dwight will be there, 01:38:19 Farmer Manny, we're gonna have a wonderful time 01:38:21 praising the Lord together at VBS. 01:38:23 If this date of July 16, 01:38:26 that week does not work for you, 01:38:28 no problem, because right after that 01:38:31 you can get the DVD from 3ABN 01:38:33 and have it anytime you want. 01:38:36 And I want to encourage people even open up 01:38:37 and have VBS in their homes. 01:38:39 That's right, in your homes, in your church, 01:38:42 wherever you can have VBS, July 16 through 20. 01:38:47 July 16 through 20. 01:38:49 So plan to join us for VBS, it's incredible. 01:38:52 And now Jim last but not least, 01:38:53 we got to tell you 01:38:55 something about this incredible project, 01:38:57 new project that Danny has. 01:38:59 When he asked me to co-produce this with them, 01:39:01 I was blown away at the privilege and the honor 01:39:04 because this is probably I think, 01:39:05 musically the best thing you've ever done. 01:39:07 I mean I love your music but this is incredible. 01:39:10 Let's tell him about it, Danny. 01:39:12 Okay, has any of you heard any the music 01:39:15 from Love Rules, it's a children CD? 01:39:18 All right, if you haven't 01:39:19 we're gonna play you something here. 01:39:21 After doing the Pillars Project, 01:39:25 the people seem to appreciate it so much 01:39:28 because the Pillars Project for those of you who don't know 01:39:31 are songs written about the pillars of our faith 01:39:33 as Christians and Seventh-day Adventists 01:39:36 like Reggie just sang while ago "I have fixed my mind", 01:39:39 like Yvonne was singing 01:39:40 and you know they sang earlier 01:39:42 "Remember the Sabbath" 01:39:43 and all of these songs 01:39:45 and I said we need something like that for children. 01:39:47 So last fall I was thinking about it 01:39:49 and it was like the Lord just began to give me songs 01:39:51 just one after another one. 01:39:53 So we put together this project, 01:39:56 wasn't sure what to call it, 01:39:57 thought I was finished writing all the songs 01:40:00 and then one night this little song called Love Rules 01:40:02 just came to me, so I said you know when it's all set and done, 01:40:06 what rules this universe? 01:40:08 God does and God is by Bible definition, God is love, right? 01:40:13 Amen. So the Love Rules, in the end 01:40:16 so when we get discouraged and what have you around us, 01:40:19 we can look and say, you know what, love rules the universe. 01:40:22 God is still in the business of saving souls. 01:40:24 Danny, you know what I love about this project too 01:40:27 is that all the Bible scripture 01:40:29 that God impressed you to put in it, 01:40:30 because there's a particular song called Ten Commandments. 01:40:34 "Love God and keep His commandments." 01:40:36 and this--how many here have memorized the Ten Commandments. 01:40:40 If I had to have, you come up here live 01:40:41 and repeat them, could you do it? Yes. 01:40:43 Most of you could not repeat them verbatim, 01:40:46 but yet this is an incredible song where kids are actually, 01:40:50 you know saying the Ten Commandments in the song 01:40:52 and it's a wonderful way to teach our children 01:40:54 our Bible truth. It's incredible part yet. 01:40:56 We have songs on the Sabbath and we use all the scriptures. 01:40:59 We're gonna show you one of the songs, 01:41:01 we had a number of kids coming to our studio 01:41:03 just a couple of months ago and start doing this, 01:41:06 so we made DVDs of these songs. 01:41:08 We have CDs also, it's available for your young children, 01:41:12 so that they can learn, 01:41:13 for instance the Ten Commandments. 01:41:15 They can learn about the Sabbath. 01:41:18 Which day is the Sabbath? How to keep the Sabbath? 01:41:20 Learn about what happens to you when you die? 01:41:23 I've done it all for children, 01:41:24 so we give God the credit.
