01:14 Everyday they pass me by,
01:20 I can see it in their eyes.
01:27 Empty people filled with care,
01:33 Headed who knows where?
01:38 On they go through private pain,
01:46 Living fear to fear. Laughter hides their
01:55 silent cries, Only Jesus hears.
02:06 People need the Lord, people need the Lord.
02:18 At the end of broken dreams,
02:25 He's the open door. People need the Lord,
02:37 people need the Lord. When will we realize,
02:50 people need the Lord.
03:07 We are called to take His light
03:13 To a world where wrong seems right.
03:19 What could be too great a cost
03:24 For sharing Life with one who's lost?
03:33 Through His love our hearts can feel
03:39 All the grief they bear. They must hear the
03:48 Words of Life Only we can share.
03:58 People need the Lord, people need the Lord
04:11 When will we realize, people need the Lord, amen.
04:24 People need the Lord, people need the Lord
04:36 When will we realize that we must give our lives,
04:47 For people need the Lord, people need the Lord.
05:25 Gracious Heavenly Father, Lord,
05:28 we ask that you would be with us over the next
05:30 few moments that we spend together.
05:32 Lord we ask that you would be seeing not
05:35 Christian Berdahl, I'm just a servant.
05:38 I pray that you would lift our hearts far
05:40 above this world Father and I pray that you would
05:43 help each one of us to be encouraged to be upon
05:45 this narrow pathway of life that leads to
05:48 life everlasting. For we pray this in
05:51 Jesus name and for His sake, amen.
05:57 Every word that I will read are words that
06:00 are not my own, they were found in
06:03 The Review and Herald, January 12,
06:06 1869 and dear Sister White was given these words
06:13 by God Himself. I dreamed of being with
06:16 a large body of people. A portion of this
06:20 assembly started out prepared to journey.
06:22 We had heavily-loaded wagons.
06:24 And as we journeyed, the road seemed to ascend.
06:29 On one side of this road was a deep,
06:32 deep precipice. On the other side a high,
06:35 white, smooth wall, like the hard finish upon
06:38 plastered rooms. And as we journeyed on,
06:41 the road grew narrower and steeper.
06:45 Some places in the road seemed very narrow,
06:48 so much so that we concluded that we could
06:51 travel more safely without the wagons.
06:56 So we then loosed them from the horses,
07:01 and we took a portion of the luggage from the
07:03 wagons and we placed it upon the horses,
07:07 and we journeyed on horseback.
07:16 Storms may rise on seas unknown
07:22 While we journey towards our home
07:28 Surely we'll learn what grace is for
07:34 As We Sail To Heaven's Shore
07:50 Send us strength O pilgrim guide
07:54 Sin would drown us in its tide
08:00 Be close at hand and go before
08:05 As We Sail To Heaven's Shore
08:12 Holy Spirit lead us on
08:17 Give us courage bring the song
08:24 Lord we trust Your Father's care
08:30 Will convey us safely there
08:36 Open or seal off every door
08:41 As We Sail To Heaven's Shore
08:48 Straighten our course with every prayer
08:54 Let heaven's breezes speed us there
08:59 And grant us mercy evermore
09:08 As We Sail To Heaven's Shore
09:25 Draw us near O finest Friend
09:31 From dawn's light to evening's end
09:37 Each passing day we love You more
09:45 As We Sail To Heaven's Shore
09:53 As We Sail To Heaven's Shore.
10:21 And as we progressed, the path still continued
10:25 to grow narrow. We were obliged to press
10:29 close to the wall, in order to save ourselves
10:32 from falling off the narrow road,
10:34 down the deep precipices. And in doing this,
10:37 the luggage on the horses pressed against
10:39 the wall, which caused us to sway
10:41 toward the precipice. We feared that we
10:45 should fall, and be dashed
10:47 in pieces on the rocks.
10:50 We then cut the luggage from the horses,
10:53 which fell over the precipice. Amen.
10:57 So, what do you suppose the wagons represent?
11:03 The loaded wagons I believe represent all of
11:06 the stuff and the weight and care of this world.
11:10 The things, the emotional baggage, the abuse,
11:15 the hurt and when we draw close to the white wall
11:20 which I believe is the righteousness
11:22 of Jesus Christ. When we press close
11:26 to that white wall Jesus says no Christian,
11:29 the things you are holding onto are pressing
11:31 against my righteousness. Let me cut them away
11:35 for you, bring them to me and I will help you
11:39 overcome all that keeps you from me.
11:42 And so they cut the luggage from the horses,
11:45 which fall over the precipices down into the
11:50 deep dark world below. We continued,
11:55 on horseback, greatly fearing as we came
11:58 to the narrower places on the road,
12:01 we feared that we would lose our balance,
12:06 and fall. But at such times,
12:09 a hand seemed to take the bridle
12:13 and carry us over the perilous way.
12:21 He who began a good work in you
12:32 He who began a good work in you
12:42 Will be faithful to complete it
12:47 He'll be faithful to complete it
12:53 He who started the work
12:56 Will be faithful to complete it in you
13:10 If the struggle you're facing
13:13 Is slowly replacing your hope
13:17 With despair Or the process is long
13:23 And you're losing your song In the night
13:33 You can be sure that the Lord
13:36 Has His hand on you Safe and secure
13:40 He will never abandon you You are His treasure
13:46 And He finds His pleasure in you
13:55 He who began a good work in you
14:06 He who began a good work in you
14:16 Will be faithful to complete it
14:21 He'll be faithful to complete it
14:27 He who started the work
14:29 Will be faithful to complete it in you
14:37 Do you believe that? Thank you.
14:44 He who began a good work in you
14:54 Will be faithful to complete it
15:00 He'll be faithful to complete it
15:05 He who started the work
15:08 Will be faithful to complete it in you.
15:30 As the path continued to grow more narrow,
15:36 have you noticed that? You start out when
15:39 I started out I was just a heathen,
15:43 and now I'm just a heathen saved by grace
15:44 through faith in Christ Jesus, amen.
15:47 And so that narrow path was quite broad,
15:50 Jesus says come as you are,
15:51 bring what you have, all of your baggage,
15:54 all of your junk. Everything that you
15:55 have Christian, bring it, come as you are.
15:59 And I promise I will not leave you as you are,
16:02 and so as I journey on this path way with
16:05 Jesus Christ and I prayed to him and I draw
16:07 close to his, his white righteousness.
16:13 He says we're gonna change some things in you,
16:17 because we can make you better then you are,
16:20 we can make you a light. And Jesus Christ has
16:23 said each one of us that sets our feet upon that
16:26 narrow path way, he will make us
16:28 something beautiful, amen. Not perfect yet in
16:36 character we can become perfect and then
16:41 physically we become perfect when we swing over
16:44 to the other side, amen. As the path grew
16:48 more narrow, we decided that we
16:52 could no longer go on horseback with safety,
16:58 and so we left the horses, it sounds like an
17:00 obedient crowd to me. And they went on foot,
17:03 in single file following in the footsteps of one
17:07 and another. At this point, small cords were
17:10 let down from the top of the pure white wall,
17:13 which we eagerly grasped, to aid us in keeping
17:16 our balance upon the path. And as we traveled,
17:18 the cord it moved along with us.
17:23 The path finally became so narrow that we
17:26 concluded that we could travel more safely
17:28 without our shoes; so we slipped them
17:32 from our feet, and went on some distance
17:35 without them. Soon it was decided that
17:38 we could travel more safely without
17:39 our stockings; and these were removed,
17:43 and we traveled on with bare feet.
17:49 It sounds like some denial of self to me.
17:54 And then we thought of those who had not
17:57 accustomed themselves to privations
18:00 and hardships. Where were such now?
18:07 They were not in the company with us.
18:26 Every heart is filled with longing
18:34 To be free from all life's pain
18:42 Yet the search through earthly pleasures
18:51 Always ends in vain
18:57 Only God who made the heavens
19:05 Can satisfy our souls
19:13 Apart from Him and all His meaning
19:20 All things fail as they begin
19:28 And hearts deceived Can only know
19:37 A chasing of the wind
19:49 All achievements, all possessions
19:56 All with time return to dust
20:04 Only God can be our reason
20:12 For deep and quiet trust
20:19 He will guard us from the dangers
20:27 That gladly make men fools
20:35 Apart from Him and all His meaning
20:43 All things fail as they begin
20:51 And hearts deceived Can only know
20:59 A chasing of the wind A chasing of the wind
21:21 Why do we live without Jesus?
21:29 Why do we waste another day?
21:37 He is the life that sustains us
21:44 The only hope for us today
21:50 So tell me, why do we live
21:56 Why do we live without Him?
22:10 Why do we live?
22:30 At every change, some were left behind.
22:36 Friends, this is talking about you and me.
22:40 At every change, when Jesus says,
22:42 Christian now we're gonna take you to
22:44 the next step, there's more Lord.
22:47 Oh! There's a lot more Christian.
22:50 At every change, some were left behind and
22:54 friends I hope that's no one here in
22:56 this auditorium. When Jesus calls you to
22:59 do away with something in your life,
23:00 stand firm on the promises and say God
23:04 I will set no wicked thing before my eyes.
23:06 I will walk with you and talk with you and I will
23:09 be totally sold out for the gospel's sake, amen.
23:15 At every change, some were left behind and
23:20 those only remained who had accustomed themselves
23:25 to endure hardships. The privations of the way
23:29 only made these more eager to press on
23:32 to the end. Our danger of falling from
23:34 the pathway it increased. And we pressed close to
23:38 the white wall, yet we could not place
23:41 our feet fully upon the path,
23:42 for it was far too narrow now.
23:49 We then suspended nearly our whole weight upon
23:53 the cords, and would exclaim,
23:56 "We have hold from above!
23:57 We have hold from above!" And the same words were
24:01 uttered by all the company in the narrow pathway.
24:04 As we heard the sounds of revelry and mirth
24:08 that seemed to come from the abyss below,
24:10 what's the abyss my friends? The world, amen.
24:16 It sounds like a big party going on in the world,
24:20 I pray for our church, I see it coming into my
24:23 church and it breaks my heart.
24:27 As we heard the sounds of revelry and mirth that
24:30 seemed to come from the abyss below,
24:32 we shuddered. We heard the profane oath,
24:34 the vulgar jest, and low, vile songs.
24:39 We heard the war songs, the dance songs.
24:41 We heard instrumental music, and the loud laugh,
24:44 it sounds like a great time in the world my
24:46 friends on the broad road, but I'm going,
24:48 I'm here to testify to you,
24:50 I have been in the broad road and it's,
24:53 it's a bunch of facade, it's a bunch
24:56 of sophistry, it's a bunch,
24:58 it's the biggest lie this plant has ever seen,
25:01 there is nothing for us in the world,
25:04 there is nothing there. Please take my word
25:07 for it young people, amen. Pray for me,
25:12 because I'm speaking to your young people in
25:14 their meetings and I have a whole series I'm
25:18 doing with them on, on music and entertainment.
25:20 And parents, I hope that if your
25:23 young people wanna take a stand for Jesus,
25:25 that you don't stop that, that you'll take a
25:28 stand with them and say we're gonna make
25:30 the changes. Because God, my friends is looking
25:33 for a people who will stand without compromise,
25:39 no compromise, a little compromise
25:42 will kill you. You know sister White says,
25:47 when we draw closer, I'm paraphrasing,
25:51 we draw close to that which God would have
25:53 us to be, we will be called by
25:54 the church odd, singular, strait-laced
25:58 extremists, is that you? amen,
26:03 I heard three Amens, I'm half deaf,
26:04 I can hear in this ear, so I heard it over here,
26:06 I'm sorry. That doesn't mean you're,
26:11 you're harsh, that doesn't mean you're,
26:13 you're a wierdo. It means you're not of
26:17 the world, amen. Amen, praise God,
26:24 but it sounds like a party,
26:25 but listen to the rest of the statement.
26:27 We heard the war songs and the dance songs.
26:29 We heard instrumental music, and the loud laugh,
26:32 mingled with cursing and cries of anguish and
26:38 bitter wailing, and we, we were more anxious than
26:43 ever to keep upon that narrow,
26:47 yes, difficult pathway.
27:04 Just the time I feel That I've been caught
27:11 In the mire of self. And just the time I feel
27:19 My mind's been bought By worldly wealth.
27:26 That's when the breeze begins
27:31 To blow, I know the Spirit's Call.
27:39 And all my worldly wanderings
27:44 Just melt into His Love.
27:50 Oh, I want to know You more!
27:55 Deep within my soul I want to know You,
27:59 Oh, I want to know You.
28:02 To feel Your Heart and know Your Mind,
28:07 Looking in Your eyes stirs up within me,
28:11 Cries that says I want to know You
28:18 Oh, I want to know You more.
28:26 When my daily deeds
28:34 Ordinarily lose life and song,
28:41 My heart begins to bleed,
28:46 Sensitivity to Him is gone.
28:54 I've run the race but set my own pace
28:59 And face a shattered soul,
29:06 Now the Gentle Arms of Jesus
29:10 Warm my hunger to be whole.
29:18 Oh, I want to know You more!
29:22 Deep within my soul I want to know You,
29:26 Oh, I want to know You.
29:29 To feel Your Heart and know Your Mind,
29:33 Looking in Your eyes stirs up within me,
29:38 Eyes that says I want to know You
29:44 Oh, I want to know You.
29:47 And I would give my final breath
29:52 To know You in Your Death and Resurrection,
29:57 Oh, I want to know You more.
30:04 Oh, I want to know You.
30:07 to know You more
30:16 Oh, I want to know You more.
30:46 Much of the time we were compelled to suspend
30:51 our whole weight upon the cords.
30:55 What are the cords represent friends?
30:59 Faith, amen, you know when I ask
31:02 these questions in Adventist congregations I
31:05 always get the right answer,
31:06 because you're a studied people, amen.
31:08 But friends when I ask these questions in,
31:10 in other denominations, they have no idea what
31:14 these things represent it is brand new
31:17 light for them. I say Jesus has dropped
31:20 the cord of faith, he's given every man
31:23 the measure of faith hasn't he?
31:25 I've given it to every man and if you but
31:28 hold on, not by, walk by sight,
31:30 but you walk by faith, you will be safe
31:33 and you'll be with me in Heaven forever, amen.
31:38 And so I noticed that these cords had increased
31:42 in size as we progressed, so what does that mean
31:45 the faith is growing and I notice that the
31:48 beautiful white wall was stained with blood.
31:53 It caused a feeling of regret to see the wall
31:55 was stained; this feeling however
31:57 lasted for a moment. As I thought that it
31:59 was as it should be, you see those who were
32:02 following after will know that others have passed
32:04 the narrow difficult way before them and will
32:07 conclude that if others will were able to pursue
32:10 the Ardmore course that they could do the same,
32:12 amen. And as the blood should be pressed from
32:15 their aching feet, they would not faint
32:20 with discouragement; but seeing the blood upon
32:23 the wall they would know that others
32:27 had endured the same pain.
32:41 We're pilgrims on the journey
32:45 Of the narrow road And those who've gone
32:50 before us line the way Cheering on the faithful,
32:59 encouraging the weary Their lives a stirring
33:05 testament to God's sustaining grace
33:13 Surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses
33:20 Let us run the race not only for the prize
33:28 But as those who've gone before us
33:31 Let us leave to those behind us
33:36 The heritage of faithfulness
33:39 passed on through godly lives
33:48 Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful
33:56 May the fire of our devotion light their way
34:04 May the footprints that we leave
34:08 Lead them to believe
34:11 And the lives we live inspire them to obey
34:19 Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful
34:34 After all our hopes and dreams have come and gone
34:42 And our children sift through
34:44 through all we've left behind
34:49 May the clues that they discover
34:53 and the memories they uncover
34:57 Become the light that leads them
35:00 to the road we each must find
35:06 Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful
35:14 May the fire of our devotion light their way
35:22 May the footprints that we leave
35:26 Lead them to believe
35:29 And the lives we live inspire them to obey
35:40 Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful
35:48 May the fire of our devotion light their way
35:56 May the footprints that we leave
36:00 Lead them to believe And the lives we live
36:05 inspire them to obey Oh may all who come behind
36:14 us find us faithful, amen. Oh may all who come
36:25 behind us find us faithful, faithful. Amen.
36:54 It's quite an interesting thing to sing in
36:56 the Arizona desert, excuse me.
37:05 At length we came to a large chasm at which
37:11 our path ended. Amen. Amen, amen.
37:19 You see whatever you're going through,
37:22 the pain, the suffering, the sacrifice,
37:28 one day will all be over. And you know in the
37:33 vision of heaven the program I do,
37:35 she says we try to call up our greatest trials,
37:39 but in light of what was around us,
37:42 we couldn't speak them out and we all declared
37:43 heaven was cheap enough. We came to a
37:48 large chasm, there was nothing now
37:50 to guide the feet, nothing upon which
37:52 to rest them. Our whole reliance must
37:54 be upon the cords, which had increased in size,
37:57 until they were as large as our bodies,
38:01 our faith made complete, amen.
38:03 And here we were for a time thrown into
38:05 perplexity and distress. And we, we inquired in
38:09 fearful whispers, "To what is the cord attached?"
38:13 "To what is the cord attached?"
38:16 My husband she writes, James was just before me.
38:19 And the large drops of sweat were falling
38:22 from his brow. The veins in his neck
38:24 and temples were increased to double their
38:27 usual size, and suppressed,
38:30 agonizing groans came from his lips,
38:35 a fearful struggle was just before us.
38:39 The sweat was dropping from my face,
38:41 and I felt such anguish as I have never
38:43 felt before. A fearful struggle was
38:45 indeed before us. And if we failed here,
38:48 all the difficulties of our experience had
38:53 been experienced for naught.
39:03 Can you see that we are surrounded
39:09 By so great a cloud of witnesses
39:16 Those who paid the price, the supreme sacrifice
39:23 Those of whom this world were not worthy
39:31 Let us run, run the race with endurance.
39:37 Laying aside every weight,
39:39 casting aside every sin Let us run, run,
39:47 fixing our eyes on the son
39:50 Looking to Him, finishing what we've
39:55 begin Let us run,
40:12 And now you see that we are trusting,
40:18 we're continuing What others started
40:25 They have passed the baton straight and fast
40:30 Till we've won, we will run to him who is holy
40:39 So, let us run, run, run the race with endurance
40:46 Laying aside every weight,
40:49 casting aside every sin
40:52 Let us run, run, fixing our eyes on the son
40:59 Looking to Him finishing what we've begin
41:03 Let us run! Oh! And yes,
41:13 there were some who had stumbled, fallen
41:19 God only knows I'm what Still I press toward the
41:26 goal for the Lord he is calling me
41:32 He's gone before, he's my reward
41:35 When I'm down Let us run,
41:43 run the race with endurance
41:46 Laying aside every weight,
41:49 casting aside every sin
41:53 Let us run, run, fixing our eyes on the son
42:00 Looking to Him, finishing what we've begin
42:05 Let us run! Let us run! Let us run! Amen.
42:35 Before us, on the other side of the chasm,
42:39 was a beautiful field of green grass,
42:42 it was about six inches high.
42:45 I couldn't see the sun, but bright,
42:48 soft beams of light, resembling fine gold and
42:51 silver were resting on this field.
42:54 Nothing I had seen upon earth could compare in
42:59 beauty and glory with just this field.
43:03 But could we succeed in reaching it was the
43:04 anxious inquiry. Should the, the cord break,
43:09 we must perish. Again, in whispered anguish,
43:12 the words were breathed, "What holds the cord?"
43:16 And for a moment we hesitated to venture.
43:19 And then we exclaimed, "Our only hope is to
43:22 trust wholly to the cord. It has been our
43:24 dependence all the difficult way.
43:27 It will not fail us now." But still we were
43:30 hesitating and distressed. And friends,
43:33 sometimes in your walk your,
43:35 you're hasting and distressed and God in our
43:37 ministry many times we didn't know Lord,
43:40 where do you want us to go?
43:41 How do you want us to accomplish
43:42 different projects? How do you want us to
43:44 go forward in faith? We'll hold on but Father,
43:47 we're distressed we don't necessarily know
43:49 sometimes how to go, how to proceed.
43:51 I wanted to get a program like this,
43:53 this program finished;
43:55 I didn't know how to do it?
43:56 We didn't have the funds, so instead of sitting
43:58 around not doing it, I said let's get some
44:01 brothers and sisters together.
44:03 Hey, you play the horn, you play the clarinet,
44:05 you play the string, a bunch of amateurs in
44:07 my basement recorded this music, amen.
44:11 And I'm not an engineer I said then he said
44:14 okay Lord, I'm praying,
44:15 God teach me how to be the,
44:17 the microphone man and so he says okay Christian
44:20 let's go. And he taught
44:21 me how to microphone all this and I don't know
44:23 nothing friends, I'm a video guy not the
44:26 audio guy. But friends, I wanna declare to you,
44:31 God has something for you to do and if he's
44:33 called you and it's God will, it's God's bill,
44:36 you go forward. And God will bless your
44:41 little tiny efforts, that's what we did,
44:43 we just said okay God, let's go, record this stuff
44:45 in my basement. On to a computer,
44:51 that that blows my mind, a bunch of amateurs
44:55 and God says well, well use it anyway.
44:59 We were still hesitating in distress.
45:02 The words were then spoken,
45:04 "God holds the cord, and God holds the cord.
45:07 We need not fear." Amen. God holds your
45:11 ministries in his hand, God holds them not you,
45:15 not your supporters, not the promotion
45:18 that you do, the newsletters that you do.
45:20 Do you realize we put like five newsletters in
45:23 ten years. We're still here, because its God,
45:27 can you say amen? Amen.
45:34 God holds the cord; these words were then
45:37 repeated by those behind us, accompanied with,
45:41 "He will not fail us now.
45:43 He has brought us this far safely."
45:59 I will speak, I will wait,
46:05 I will send prophets among them
46:12 That they might hear, that they might see
46:18 and understand how much I love them
46:25 Then they will know that I am Father,
46:32 then they will know I am Lord
46:38 They'll walk with Me and be My people
46:44 I'll walk with them as their God, as their God
46:58 I will strike, I will scourge and
47:04 carry out vengeance upon them
47:11 But I will heal the wounds I make
47:17 and tenderly take them back to me
47:24 They will know that I am Savior,
47:30 I am Redeemer and Friend
47:36 Immanuel, the God that is with them,
47:43 the God who gives all He can
47:49 He is salvation, He is the kingdom,
47:55 to know Him is paradise
48:15 He will come, My own Son,
48:21 a Word faithful hearts can't help hearing
48:28 And by His death, with His last breath a
48:34 Father's forgiveness comes flowing
48:40 Then they will know that I am Father
48:46 Then they will know I am Lord
48:52 They'll walk with Me and be My people
48:59 I'll walk with them as their God,
49:05 He is salvation, He is the kingdom,
49:11 to know Him is paradise Then they will know
49:20 that I am Father Then they will know
49:26 I am Lord, I am Lord, I am Lord.
49:57 I see that my time is running short and I
50:00 needed six minutes to do the last song and I
50:02 have five minutes left, I don't know what to do.
50:10 Do it you say, the production crew says no.
50:14 My husband James, she says was right before
50:17 me and he swung himself over the fearful abyss
50:20 into the beautiful field beyond.
50:21 And I, I immediately followed she writes.
50:25 And oh, what a sense of relief and gratitude we
50:27 felt to God! I heard voices raised in triumphant
50:30 praises to God. I was happy,
50:33 perfectly happy, she writes.
50:37 I awoke, what a hard thing to be a prophet,
50:43 wow! The clock just gave me seven minutes,
50:46 pray, and it's God's number 7 amen!
50:51 Hallelujah! Oh! Father God, you are so merciful,
50:55 amen. And I immeditely followed And oh,
50:57 what a sense of relief and gratitude we
51:00 felt to God! And I heard those
51:01 voices raised in triumphant praises to God.
51:04 I awoke and I found that from the anxiety I had
51:07 experienced in passing over the difficult route,
51:10 nearly every nerve on my being seemed to be
51:15 in a tremor. Friends, she's talking about those
51:21 who have ceased to send the hundred and forty
51:25 four thousand who stand without a mediator,
51:30 do you understand the gravity of that?
51:33 And friends, we will not stand then if we
51:36 don't stand now, it is time for us to be
51:39 Seventh-day Adventist Christians and to
51:42 march to the beak of Jesus Christ the drummer,
51:45 amen? Amen, it's time to be His people,
51:48 it's time to walk forward, it's time to cast
51:51 every sin and every weight aside,
51:53 it is time to show the world that God loved us
51:56 who could wash one and another's feet, amen.
52:00 And this dream she says, it needs no comment.
52:03 It made such an impression upon my mind
52:05 that probably every item in it will be vivid
52:10 before me while my memory shall continue.
52:25 We were prepared for the journey with
52:29 our wagons loaded down We had all the things
52:35 we needed and some more of what we had found
52:39 But as the road then narrowed,
52:43 so the wagons could not climb
52:46 We journeyed on with our horses,
52:49 leaving things of ours behind.
52:53 Traveling the narrow way of the
52:57 steep and windy road A smooth white wall on one
53:02 side and a precipice below As we journey on the
53:11 way grows smaller still
53:14 Stripped of all earthly support
53:17 We cling unto His will
53:25 To save ourselves from thorn
53:28 We press close to the wall
53:32 Our luggage was interfering
53:34 we cut it loose and let it fall
53:39 And such times when we were fearful
53:41 And our bodies began to sway,
53:46 our hands seem to take the bridle
53:48 and guide us over the way
53:52 Traveling the narrow way of
53:56 the steep and windy road
53:59 A smooth white wall on one
54:02 side and a precipice below
54:06 As we journey on the way grows smaller still
54:13 Stripped of all earthly support
54:16 We cling unto His will
54:34 With our horses now left behind us
54:37 We traveled on in single file
54:41 Our feet exposed to grip the rocks
54:44 We were fearful all the way
54:48 Small cords came down from above us
54:51 To keep our balance on the path
54:55 We've hold from above, we were shouting
54:58 It seem like this is all we have
55:01 Traveling the narrow way of
55:06 the steep and windy road
55:09 A smooth white wall on one
55:11 side and a precipice below
55:15 As we journey on the way grows smaller still
55:23 Stripped of all earthly support
55:26 We cling unto His will
55:37 From those not used the hardship
55:40 we heard complains time and again
55:45 While they chose to stay behind us
55:47 We eagerly pressed on to the end
55:51 The wall once white and beautiful
55:54 Now had a bloody stain
55:58 If others were able to pursue this course
56:02 Then we can do the same
56:05 Traveling the narrow way of
56:09 the steep and windy road
56:13 A smooth white wall on one
56:15 side and a precipice below As we journey on,
56:22 the way grows smaller still
56:26 Stripped of all earthly support
56:29 We cling unto His will
56:37 Where a narrow path now ended,
56:40 lay a chasm deep and wide
56:44 Scenes of beauty beyond compare
56:47 await us on the other side
56:51 Again, in whispered anguish we
56:55 breathe who holds the cord
56:59 Assured it was none but God himself
57:02 We swung unto our reward
57:06 Traveling the narrow way of
57:10 the steep and windy road
57:14 A smooth white wall on one
57:16 side and a precipice below
57:20 As we journey on the way grows smaller still
57:27 Stripped of all earthly support
57:30 We cling unto His will
57:38 Stripped of all earthly support
57:41 We cling unto His will.
