01:01 Hello, and welcome to
01:02 Three Angels Broadcasting Network.
01:04 We are right here in our worship center here
01:06 in Southern Illinois, West Frankfort,
01:08 Thompsonville area, Southern Illinois.
01:10 We have a wonderful crowd
01:11 from almost every state in the union
01:14 and several countries
01:15 also represented and yes,
01:17 this is spring camp meeting, 2007,
01:19 and we've been having a wonderful time.
01:21 And you all had a good time in camp meeting so far?
01:22 Yes!
01:24 And when we're talking about a good time,
01:25 we're not just talking about food, right?
01:27 There's been some pretty food,
01:28 Trieste and Gane is doing a good job
01:29 cooking for you all too, right?
01:31 Yeah. But...
01:32 Oh that got him, boy, I see now if we wanna get
01:36 Adventist excited, let's talk about food, right?
01:38 We all get excited about that.
01:40 Well, we not only have good food,
01:43 but we've been having good spiritual food.
01:45 And I am so thankful to all the folk
01:47 who have come and who donate their time.
01:49 And I wanna thank all of you.
01:51 I am amazed, I was saying to Brandy yesterday,
01:53 we went into the lounge and cut line.
01:56 Somebody said we cut line and I know we did but we ask
02:01 and anyway they said we could, but I was standing there
02:03 and I said, I want you to look at
02:04 all of these people.
02:06 Some of these folk have driven a 1,000, 2,000 miles to be here
02:10 and what are they doing?
02:11 They're serving.
02:13 They're in the line serving, they're helping
02:15 with the cooking, they're doing parking,
02:17 they're doing cleaning, they're doing anything
02:19 that needs to be done.
02:20 Folks, you all have a servant's heart
02:21 and that's what Jesus wants us to have is a servant's heart.
02:24 So I want to say a special thank you to
02:26 all of the volunteers that come here
02:29 and are willing to work.
02:30 Some folk miss out on some of the services
02:33 just so they can be preparing food
02:35 or helping in whatever areas.
02:37 How about all the people that are,
02:39 you notice, the young people,
02:40 they have all these classes, all of these things
02:43 going nearly all day long.
02:44 People are volunteering.
02:46 They're driving from a 1000, 2000 miles away.
02:50 They're not getting to come into the main auditorium,
02:53 but they're here.
02:54 Someone said, "Would you work with the children?"
02:56 They say, "Yes, we'll do," volunteering their time.
02:58 That is a...
02:59 You all are special people. Thank you.
03:01 And I praise the Lord that you all are here.
03:03 And I think we've been having a wonderful time
03:05 and I just praise God, for each and every one of you.
03:08 For those of you at home, thank you for your love,
03:10 your prayers, and financial support
03:12 of Three Angels Broadcasting Network,
03:14 as we endeavor to take this gospel into all the world.
03:17 This year, we've called it a year of victory,
03:19 may not always feel like it in our lives, right?
03:21 I mean, if we're being honest, may not always feel like
03:25 the year of victory, but it is a year of victory.
03:26 You know why?
03:28 Because Jesus is greater than Satan, isn't He?
03:30 Greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world.
03:34 So we don't care what Satan is throwing at us.
03:36 He's a defeated foe and when we get,
03:39 when we look at the whole picture,
03:41 it's simply this, we are all sinners in
03:43 need of a Savior and as we submit
03:45 and commit our lives to Jesus,
03:47 He says, I'm willing, you're on My side,
03:50 My blood will cover your sins when you're repentant,
03:53 you're sorry and now we belong to Jesus,
03:56 and what better place to be
03:57 than in the arms of Jesus, right?
03:59 Sheltered in the arms of God.
04:01 So today, we have a lot to be thankful for,
04:03 a lot to be grateful for, and thankful
04:06 for the risen Savior that we serve.
04:08 It's our hope and our prayer here at 3ABN
04:11 that if you're not a Christian today,
04:13 that you will accept Jesus Christ as Lord
04:15 and Savior of your life and if you are a Christian,
04:17 we're hoping that maybe if sometimes we call it a rut
04:21 here in Southern Illinois, we kind of our
04:23 Christian experience gets in a little rut,
04:25 and we lose our first love.
04:27 It's our hope and prayer
04:28 that if that's happened to any of us here,
04:31 that at this camp meeting will be renewed
04:34 and will fall in love with Jesus again.
04:36 And when we leave here,
04:38 will be more determined than ever.
04:40 Jennifer sings that song, I am determined, right?
04:43 To follow the Lord, serve the Lord.
04:44 We will be more determined than ever
04:46 to take this great three angels' messages
04:49 that God has entrusted to this church
04:51 and to all the world.
04:52 So based on the year of victory,
04:54 our theme song is Victory in Jesus,
04:56 and I'm gonna ask Pastor John Lomacang
04:58 to come out and lead us and then introduce our music.
05:02 Are you ready to sing about victory?
05:04 Amen. Well let's...
05:05 Those of you joining us via satellite, television,
05:07 internet, however you're joining us,
05:09 we're gonna raise our voices to the glory of God
05:11 because victorious people ought to sing about victory.
05:14 Let's sing the song together,
05:16 Victory in Jesus,
05:17 the words will appear on your screen
05:19 and let's raise our voice this evening.
05:20 Are you ready? Here we go.
05:22 I heard an old, old story
05:26 How a Savior came from glory
05:30 How He gave His life on Calvary
05:34 To save a wretch like me
05:37 I heard about His groaning
05:41 Of His precious blood's atoning
05:44 Then I repented of my sin
05:48 And won the victory
05:50 Raise that chorus, victory.
05:52 O victory in Jesus My Savior, forever
05:59 He sought me and bought me
06:03 With His redeeming blood
06:07 He loved me ere I knew Him
06:10 And all my love is due Him
06:14 He plunged me to victory
06:17 Beneath the cleansing flood
06:21 I heard about His healing
06:25 Of his cleansing pow'r revealing
06:29 How He made the lame to walk again
06:32 And caused the blind to see
06:36 And then I cried,
06:38 "Dear Jesus Come and heal my broken spirit"
06:43 And somehow Jesus came And bro't to me the victory
06:49 Are you ready? Here we go.
06:50 O victory in Jesus My Savior, forever
06:58 He sought me and bought me
07:01 With His redeeming blood
07:05 He loved me ere I knew Him
07:09 And all my love is due Him
07:12 He plunged me to victory
07:16 Beneath the cleansing flood
07:20 I heard about a mansion
07:23 He has built for me in glory
07:27 And I heard about the streets of gold
07:30 Beyond the crystal sea
07:34 About the angels singing
07:38 And the old redemption story
07:41 And some sweet day I'll sing up there
07:45 The song of victory
07:48 O victory in Jesus My Savior, forever
07:55 He sought me and He bought me
07:59 With His redeeming blood
08:03 He loved me ere I knew Him
08:06 And all my love is due Him
08:11 That's right.
08:13 We're gonna sing this chorus one more time, are you ready?
08:15 If you haven't joined us, here we go.
08:17 O victory in Jesus He's my Savior, forever
08:25 He sought me and bought me
08:29 With His redeeming blood
08:32 He loved me ere I knew Him
08:36 And all my love is due Him
08:39 He plunged me to victory
08:43 Beneath the cleansing flood
08:50 Can you say amen? Amen.
08:51 Isn't it good to know that when you sing like that,
08:54 Ellen White says, "When we sing,
08:56 the devil has to flee because he cannot occupy
08:59 the place that Jesus solely reserves for Himself.
09:02 The Lord inhabits the praises of His people."
09:06 You know, we always are blessed
09:08 by the ministry of Steve Darmody
09:09 and as I've listened through the years,
09:11 it seems like he's gotten better and smoother.
09:14 A voice that is not only smooth,
09:16 but the voice that is filled with a resonant Holy Spirit
09:19 that comforts those who are in challenges
09:23 of their lives and reminds us that one great day,
09:26 we're gonna be in the presence to sing
09:28 in the face of Jesus that song of victory.
09:32 He's going to bless us with two wonderful songs,
09:34 One More Day, and To Be Like Jesus.
09:37 Let's make Steve Darmody welcome this evening.
09:46 You know, we may not think of it this way right now.
09:50 How blessed we are to have this life
09:51 with Christ because,
09:53 you know, our lives are filled with trials and difficulties.
09:56 But you know, one day we will tell
09:58 all the unfallen beings how wonderful it is.
10:02 One more sun
10:06 One more sky
10:11 One more time to hide
10:15 In the green pasture by Your side
10:20 One more prayer
10:23 that I can pray
10:28 Thank You for one more day
10:37 One more time that I can rest
10:45 And feel the comfort
10:48 of Your love Your peace,
10:51 Your happiness
10:54 One more soul
10:58 to send Your way
11:03 Thank You for one more day
11:11 I used to think
11:14 that I could make it on my own
11:20 Never knowing
11:22 that You were with me all along
11:28 But, oh how good it feels to know
11:33 That You are there
11:37 And I love the time we share
11:46 One more song
11:49 to sing Your praise
11:54 An opportunity to share Your sweet
11:59 and precious ways
12:03 One more time
12:07 that I can say
12:11 Thank You for one more day
12:19 You know there's an old hymn that we're all familiar with,
12:23 entitled the sweet hour of prayer.
12:26 Very last line, last stanzas in the last line
12:31 describes the time
12:33 when we'll be caught up together
12:35 and we will ascend to meet
12:36 and forever be with the Lord in the air,
12:39 but we will look back on earth
12:41 and regret the loss of what?
12:47 The precious sweet hours of prayer
12:50 we've had with Christ.
12:54 I used to think that I could make it
13:00 on my own
13:04 Never knowing
13:06 You were with me all along
13:12 But, oh how good it feels to know
13:17 That You are there
13:22 And I love the time we share
13:30 One more song
13:34 to sing Your praise
13:39 An opportunity to share
13:42 your sweet
13:45 And your precious ways
13:48 One more time
13:52 that I can say
13:56 Thank You for one more
14:01 Thank You for one more
14:05 Thank you for one more day
14:13 Lord, I thank you
14:17 for one more day
14:42 Amen.
14:49 Coming to the 3ABN Camp Meeting,
14:51 being a part of the remnant people
14:53 that go by the name of Christian
14:56 means that you're seeking to have your life
14:59 transformed into His image.
15:03 A little boy is crying for affection
15:10 A little girl needs a hand to hold
15:17 And oh, how he loves those little children
15:24 How he longs to be a friend
15:29 to young and old
15:33 His tender spirit welcomes all
15:39 who seek Him
15:41 His giving heart
15:43 asks little in return
15:48 And I have found his promises faithful
15:54 I seek to live my life
15:59 that I may learn
16:02 To be like Jesus
16:11 To be like Jesus
16:17 To be the one
16:20 I was created to be
16:30 To be like Jesus
16:34 To be like Jesus
16:43 May all who see my heart
16:48 Find him in me
17:02 When I received
17:05 His supreme salvation
17:09 His heavenly love
17:12 Filled my earthly soul
17:17 And I became a new creation
17:22 My brokenness
17:24 He made completely whole
17:28 And through the darkness of this world
17:32 I've been commissioned
17:35 To be a light that shines
17:38 For Him alone
17:41 Surrounded by His infinite mercy
17:48 May my life always be known
17:57 To be like Jesus
18:05 To be like Jesus
18:12 To be the one
18:15 I was created to be
18:25 To be like Jesus
18:29 To be like Jesus
18:41 My only earthly goals fulfilled
18:47 When I'm centered
18:51 In His will
18:54 May all who see my life
18:59 Find Him
19:04 in me
19:27 Amen.
19:30 Thank you, Steve.
19:35 He's not bad for tenor singer, is he?
19:39 I'm standing here, of course, with Pastor Wintley Phipps.
19:41 Wintley, it's good to have you here.
19:43 Oh, it's great to be here.
19:44 And You're one of the busiest man
19:46 that I know on the face of the earth.
19:47 Oh, well.
19:48 You travel on airplanes every week, I guess.
19:51 I've been on an airplane once or twice a week
19:53 for almost 30 years, every single week of my life,
19:57 but I heard an old black preacher say
19:59 someone asked him one day,
20:01 "All that traveling, don't you get tired?"
20:04 And he laughed and said, Yeah,
20:05 he said, "Sometimes I get tired,"
20:07 he said, but you know what?
20:08 "It's still better than picking cotton."
20:14 All right. Love it.
20:16 So when you put it in perspective,
20:18 there's a lot of worse things we could be doing.
20:20 That's right, everything is relevant and right.
20:21 That's good.
20:23 I'm gonna remember that sometime.
20:24 I didn't pick cotton, but I picked tomatoes.
20:26 That's right.
20:27 So it's better than picking tomatoes, too.
20:29 And I know that you're, in fact, in just a week or so,
20:32 you're going somewhere and you've been invited.
20:35 Tell us what's happening there?
20:36 Yes.
20:38 I have been honored, been asked to sing
20:41 for the opening of the Billy Graham library.
20:46 You know, every president has a library
20:50 and it's opening on the 30th in Charlotte, North Carolina,
20:56 and they kind of made me a little nervous
21:00 because they said, I'm singing between
21:03 three living US presidents.
21:05 So that's a little nerve wracking.
21:07 Well, yeah, it might be,
21:10 I suppose they lost my cell phone numbers but...
21:12 Yeah.
21:14 So well, anyway, we'll talk about that later on
21:18 but I just assumed.
21:19 We want to talk about World of Praise Network.
21:22 Tell the folks out here about World of Praise Network?
21:24 Well, God is raising up an amazing opportunity for us
21:29 to minister to people
21:31 in the urban cities of this country.
21:35 And I'm so excited about it.
21:37 Because, you know,
21:41 if our cities go,
21:43 so goes the rest of this country.
21:46 You've got to understand that and that's where most
21:49 of the people in America live today
21:53 in these urban areas, and so,
21:56 we're gonna get in and we've gotta get in
21:58 with unique messages and unique perspectives.
22:02 We got to speak to them in the technology
22:06 and in the language that they understand.
22:10 Amen.
22:11 You know, even the servant of God says,
22:14 "You speak to people, as God gives you opportunity
22:19 upon points of faith on which you can agree first."
22:25 Let me ask you a question.
22:28 Can you do this without compromising the message?
22:32 Absolutely.
22:34 What you have to do, first of all,
22:37 is to understand that
22:39 behind the message are principles
22:43 that are timeless and universal.
22:46 Okay.
22:47 Believe me, and you have to present
22:50 those principles
22:52 and you have to present it in a way that you connect.
22:56 For example,
22:57 if somebody is struggling with health issues,
23:00 you speak to that first, servant of God says
23:03 that opens the heart.
23:06 Amen.
23:07 So that when you do speak of testing truths,
23:10 when you do speak of this last day message,
23:13 they will listen in a way that
23:16 they won't if you didn't come that way.
23:19 And so God is doing,
23:20 and also the technology is changing.
23:25 I wish I could tell you that television
23:30 is the future.
23:34 But it may not be.
23:36 It may not be.
23:37 It may be what's happening today
23:39 but we're going to have to change,
23:41 you know, that's why I love reading
23:43 Ellen White, you know, because the Spirit of Prophecy
23:46 has so many powerful principles to guide us.
23:49 One of the things she says is that
23:52 when the enemy becomes acquainted
23:56 with your strategies,
23:59 for you to win the war
24:02 you have to change your strategies.
24:06 That's powerful.
24:07 I mean and it's common sense.
24:09 You know, by the time the devil catches up
24:13 with how you'd carrying out God's work,
24:17 Ellen White says, you're gonna have to change
24:19 your strategies to stay ahead of him.
24:22 Amen.
24:23 That's true and that's why 3ABN,
24:25 we're not sticking
24:26 with just downlink UHF stations,
24:28 we've gone the cable...
24:29 Cable is changing.
24:31 So we've gone on the Verizon, you know, AT&T, Quest,
24:36 all of these phone companies
24:38 now are offering broadcast signals.
24:41 So now we've signed with those.
24:43 We're using the internet
24:44 where people can get us 24 hours a day.
24:46 And now we're also changing,
24:48 I call it MO TV with the MO Box
24:50 that Moses Primo has come up with that
24:53 I believe that World of Praise is gonna be on there.
24:56 World of Praise is gonna be on there,
24:57 and let me tell you how powerful this is.
24:59 This will amaze you but...
25:02 I some years ago sang
25:05 with Bill Gaither at Carnegie Hall,
25:10 and I made a presentation of Amazing Grace
25:12 and the black notes on the piano, etc.
25:15 And someone took that clip and put it on the internet,
25:21 on YouTube.
25:23 Now, I know most of y'all don't know what YouTube is.
25:27 But YouTube is a phenomenon,
25:31 a worldwide phenomenon,
25:33 where people are watching every kind of video
25:37 you can imagine on YouTube.
25:40 So somebody put that up on YouTube.
25:42 I didn't do it.
25:43 But all of a sudden, it took off.
25:47 And it is now the most watched Christian video
25:52 worldwide on YouTube.
25:55 Amen. All right.
25:56 It is unbelievable, I didn't expect it.
26:00 As a matter of fact, in the last couple of months,
26:04 over half a million people have downloaded it
26:08 and many of them have responded
26:09 how much they've been blessed by it and you know,
26:12 I'm gonna say this is the old days,
26:14 Danny, remember in the old days
26:15 people used to walk up to you and say,
26:17 I saw you on television.
26:18 Now they say, I saw you on YouTube.
26:22 I saw you on the internet if you just put my name in,
26:25 Wintley Phipps on YouTube and just watch, it's amazing.
26:30 Somebody sent that to my personal email address
26:33 so I just punched the button and I saw you singing that
26:36 on YouTube and next they'll be saying
26:38 I saw you on MO TV.
26:40 That's right. That's right. That's right.
26:43 And the other thing that's really incredible
26:46 is that this generation of young people
26:50 are watching computer screens
26:54 more than they are watching television.
26:59 Now isn't that mind blowing? That is.
27:01 This generation spent, of young people,
27:05 they spend more time in front of a computer screen.
27:09 Remember when we used to say,
27:10 we gotta get them away from that television.
27:12 They're getting away from their television,
27:14 but they're on something else now,
27:16 and that is their computer screen.
27:17 And if we're going to reach them,
27:20 we've got to reach them through this technology
27:23 and it is critical because you know,
27:26 one other thing, 95% of all teenagers
27:32 in America do not attend any church.
27:39 Ninety five percent, that's a Barna Study.
27:43 Ninety five percent of all teenagers in America
27:46 do not attend any church regularly.
27:49 And many of them are getting their faith content
27:54 from the internet.
27:57 That's where they're getting their religion from today.
28:00 And there are a lot of people right now watching us
28:03 on their computer screens.
28:05 That's true.
28:06 Some are even watching it on their iPods and other devices.
28:09 Somebody is sitting down...
28:11 You mean, they're watching us right now?
28:14 Yeah, they are.
28:17 I should have looked in the mirror.
28:20 So it's a new day and that's World of Praise
28:25 is designed to reach this generation
28:29 in the urban areas, using the perspectives
28:34 that will capture their imagination
28:37 and their attention and using the technologies
28:40 that they're receiving
28:42 most of their information through.
28:43 World of Praise, hopefully, this thing is coming together.
28:46 Progress is making, you have a little studio,
28:49 you're cranking out programming.
28:51 We're gathering program together to get literally
28:54 a network going.
28:56 An exciting announcement too,
28:59 with the help of the Palm Bay Church,
29:03 in Palm Bay, Florida, we have purchased,
29:08 the church has purchased 14 acres of land.
29:14 And it is our hope to build by the grace of God
29:18 a television studio that is also a worship center.
29:22 Much like what you're looking at right here today
29:25 where people come to worship, but we also tape programming
29:31 and broadcast programming from that, that place.
29:35 So God is good.
29:36 Thank you, Pastor Phipps.
29:38 So we'll be seeing you in a bit.
29:39 You have a special, can you give us a little hint,
29:41 what are you going to be preaching about tonight?
29:43 Oh, stay tuned.
29:44 Okay. All right. God bless.
29:47 Hey, I'm going to introduce right now a friend of ours,
29:50 and Pastor John Lomacang
29:52 and he's gonna be singing for us.
29:53 Praise God.
30:12 There are places
30:14 I remember All my life
30:21 Though some have changed
30:24 Some forever not for better
30:29 Some are gone
30:32 And some remain
30:35 All these places have their moments
30:40 With people and friends
30:43 I've known before
30:46 Some are dead and some are living
30:52 But in my life
30:55 I love them all
31:05 But of all these friends
31:08 And loved ones
31:11 There is no one compared with you
31:17 And these memories lose their meaning
31:22 When I think of love as something new
31:28 Though I know I'll never lose affection
31:33 For people and friends
31:36 I met before
31:39 I know I'll often stop
31:41 And think about them
31:45 But in my heart
31:48 I love you more
31:59 But soon we'll come
32:03 to the end of life's journey
32:08 And perhaps
32:10 we'll never meet anymore
32:17 Till we gather in heaven's
32:21 Bright city
32:25 Far away
32:27 on that beautiful shore
32:33 So if we never meet again
32:37 This side of heaven
32:42 As we struggle through this world
32:46 And its strife
32:51 There's another meeting place somewhere in heaven
32:59 It's by the beautiful river of life
33:07 Where the charming roses
33:10 Bloom forever
33:16 And where separations come no more
33:24 So if we never meet again
33:28 This side of heaven
33:32 I will meet you on that beautiful shore
33:48 Amen.
33:56 All right, thank you, John.
33:58 I'm going to walk out here to the crowd for a second.
34:00 I'm looking, is anybody here named Norma?
34:03 Let's see.
34:04 Is there a Norma around here somewhere?
34:06 Where's Norma? Here's the Norma.
34:08 I'm gonna come back and talk to you.
34:09 Can you meet me in the aisle over here?
34:15 You know what I should come here.
34:16 You stay right there. I'm sorry.
34:18 I'll come around that way.
34:19 No, I changed my mind.
34:22 I didn't realize how long the aisle was,
34:24 it's about the same distance for you.
34:26 I'm gonna do, can I hold your hand a second?
34:28 Can you come up here just a little bit.
34:29 All right.
34:31 She's saying,
34:33 "What in the world is going on?"
34:35 All right, let me get you up here
34:36 in a little bit of light.
34:37 Your name is Norma Willington?
34:39 Wellman. Wellman.
34:40 All right. Where are you from?
34:42 Carrollton, Ohio. All right.
34:44 You wrote in it, let's get over a little more
34:46 this way, won't get you in the light.
34:47 Okay.
34:49 Now you wrote a letter to Shelley and me
34:51 a few weeks ago,
34:53 and I said this was an incredible testimony.
34:56 And then I was surprised
34:57 they said the lady who wrote the letter
34:59 is in the audience tonight, and I said,
35:01 I wonder if I could get her to give her testimony.
35:04 So you're probably used to being on television, right?
35:07 No. Oh, no.
35:08 Is this first time? Yes.
35:10 I wouldn't worry about all the people
35:12 looking at us.
35:13 It's no big deal. Right? Okay.
35:14 Now, honestly, you have an incredible testimony.
35:17 And why don't you maybe share with us about what happened
35:21 when you were thinking about, she wrote and said,
35:23 "I was thinking about
35:25 passing out the Ten Commandments,
35:26 but I just didn't really feel like it the book that weekend."
35:29 Tell us about it?
35:30 Well, I had, it was the Sabbath,
35:33 and I'd been to church and I heard some bad news
35:37 and I was going through some really bad things.
35:40 So when I got home, I thought about going out
35:43 and I got my book bag ready and,
35:46 and I was feeling so bad.
35:47 I just went to bed and cried, cried, and cried
35:51 and I had this thought come to me.
35:53 Get up, wash your face and go out
35:55 and pass out those books.
35:57 And I was still feeling really bad
36:01 and I just couldn't do it, and I just laid there
36:03 and I cried and cried and cried,
36:04 some more it was quite a while and I got the feeling
36:09 or the impression again.
36:11 Get up and wash your face
36:13 and go out and pass out these books.
36:15 And so I knew it was the Lord.
36:18 And so I got up and I got ready.
36:20 I don't even think I washed my face.
36:22 I just was...
36:23 After him telling you three times.
36:26 Twice. Twice, okay, I'm sorry.
36:29 Twice, and well, you know.
36:33 That's okay. I'm just having fun.
36:35 All right, sorry. I messed up your story.
36:37 Okay. Forgive me.
36:38 So anyways, I got the books
36:41 and I got down on my knees and I prayed.
36:44 I prayed for the, you know, that they be given to,
36:49 you know, people would be blessed
36:51 by the books I gave and I asked the Lord, I said,
36:54 "Lord, You show me where you want me to go."
36:57 And so the thought, well, I don't even know
37:01 if I thought about it then.
37:03 But when I got out, see,
37:04 I had to walk to where I was going.
37:06 It was about a half a mile away, ended up.
37:09 The thought came into my mind where to go.
37:12 And so I went up on this street and I started knocking
37:16 on the doors and most of the people, nobody was home.
37:20 In fact, I don't even remember before I got to this one home.
37:26 And there's little old lady came to the door.
37:29 She was probably about 87 years old.
37:32 And I asked her,
37:35 she opened the door up just a little bit,
37:37 and I handed her the book inside
37:39 and I told her I had a gift book
37:40 for her and she took it.
37:44 And then she said, Well, I can't see to read very well.
37:49 So she didn't want it.
37:50 And I said, normally I wouldn't have pressed it.
37:53 But I just said, do you have somebody here
37:56 that can help you read?
37:57 Well I talked softly and she couldn't hear me.
38:01 So she opened up the door a little bit more
38:04 to hear what I was saying.
38:06 And when she did, I smelled gas.
38:09 And I, I told her, I said, I smell gas.
38:13 I said, you need to call the gas company.
38:16 And she couldn't smell anything.
38:19 And I said, well, do you have a gas stove?
38:22 And she said, yes.
38:23 And she wanted me to come in and look at it.
38:27 And I was a bit reluctant to go
38:29 in because you never know about people.
38:32 But I did and I checked the stove out.
38:36 But every all the burners were off
38:38 and so I could still smell the gas.
38:42 And she told me she had a gas furnace
38:44 down the cellar.
38:46 And I was even more reluctant to go down there.
38:52 But I started down the steps.
38:54 Well, I couldn't smell anything.
38:56 So I said no, I don't smell anything,
38:57 I said, we need to call the gas company.
38:59 Well, she couldn't see
39:01 well enough to read the phone book.
39:04 So she took me into this little room
39:06 that had one of these rotary dial phones
39:08 and so I'm trying to call the gas company
39:12 and I get this automated voice.
39:14 And it tells me to push this button
39:16 and push that button and there's no buttons to push.
39:19 And so I thought, well, when she said to,
39:22 you know, if it was an emergency to push two,
39:25 I dialed it, well, it didn't work.
39:27 So anyways, I remembered
39:31 that she was holding a telephone
39:33 when she came to the door.
39:35 And I asked her, I said,
39:36 where is that little phone you were holding.
39:38 So, she couldn't remember but I remembered it
39:41 laying somewhere.
39:42 So I found it and I said, we got to get out of here,
39:45 I said, and don't turn on any lights.
39:49 I said it could explode.
39:51 So we get out on the porch, and I called the gas company.
39:55 About probably an hour later,
39:57 the gas man came and he thought I lived there.
40:02 And I said, No, I was passing out these books
40:04 and I gave him one.
40:07 And so anyways, when he went in the door,
40:12 I could hear the machine going off, the gas.
40:17 And then he came to know that she had a bad leak
40:21 and it was in a really bad place.
40:22 He didn't know if he could get it, get to it.
40:25 But he was going to try.
40:28 So I went out and passed out the rest of the books,
40:30 and I came back and he was heading in there
40:33 and oh, no, he came out and went around the house
40:39 to turn off the gas.
40:41 And she was sitting on the swing
40:43 and she kept saying,
40:44 "You saved my life.
40:46 You saved my life."
40:47 And I said, "No," I was down on my knees.
40:49 "It was God that saved your life.
40:51 He showed me where to go."
40:53 And then after I passed out the books,
40:58 came back, he was gonna head inside
41:00 and try to fix that.
41:03 And she was, I went back to see if she was okay.
41:06 Then I went on down back home.
41:09 And later I called her and she was so excited.
41:11 She kept telling me you saved my life and I'm like,
41:14 "No, God saved your life."
41:17 And she said that he had fixed the gas leak
41:20 and he didn't charge or anything.
41:22 So. All right.
41:23 That says, isn't that incredible testimony?
41:25 Thank you, Norma.
41:27 But can I say something else?
41:33 I wouldn't have had those books
41:36 had not two people that work here,
41:40 Jim and Mary Jo Madison,
41:42 come bringing them all the way back
41:43 to our church, when her father had died
41:48 and they were having a memorial service.
41:52 And they brought them back for our church to give out.
41:54 Now, it was all of us working together
41:56 and you given him to us
41:58 and other people paying for him, so.
42:01 All right. Thank you, Norma.
42:02 God bless
42:08 Isn't that a great testimony?
42:10 I'm gonna ask Dwight Hall
42:11 from Remnant Publications to come out.
42:13 But you see, she didn't feel like doing that.
42:17 She said, No, I'm gonna go back to bed.
42:19 She was crying, feeling, just having a terrible day.
42:23 But she did listen to the Lord and by her getting up,
42:26 she obviously saved a life physically.
42:29 I liked her letter she said, we may have saved two lives
42:32 you know, the books
42:33 because she gave it to the gas man too,
42:34 how about that I really appreciate,
42:36 I appreciate that.
42:37 Dwight How about that story?
42:39 I was listening back there and what's so amazing is that
42:42 it's all about teamwork, right?
42:45 It wasn't just her handing out the book.
42:47 She listened to that still small voice,
42:49 but somebody from here got her the books
42:51 and there's a quote that I read.
42:54 Do you know that our guardian angels,
42:56 you all believe you have guardian angels?
42:58 Amen.
42:59 We're told that our guardian angels
43:00 watch everything that we do, not only that,
43:04 they take every bit of our means
43:07 that we give away, that we donate,
43:09 the books that we give out,
43:10 those whatever we do,
43:12 and by faith when we're in heaven,
43:13 those angels will let us know what those books did,
43:17 what those funds did.
43:18 Amen?
43:20 So we don't know what's gonna happen
43:22 with all these things that are going on,
43:24 but God is working on us as a people.
43:26 It takes teamwork, every one of us.
43:28 I'm excited.
43:29 It's great and you've printed up
43:31 these Ten Commandments Twice Removed books.
43:32 How many of y'all print it up now
43:34 and gotten out with the help of the people?
43:36 Is that total or just this year, Danny?
43:38 Total probably about, let's see, six,
43:41 probably close to seven million books.
43:42 Wow, isn't that amazing? Amen.
43:44 Seven million books.
43:48 Thing it is I have to put weights in my shoes
43:50 because when I start talking about this,
43:52 I wanna start floating in the air.
43:54 You probably get scared and so would I,
43:55 but it's just exciting to see what God's doing.
43:58 I'm thankful for what you do and what Remnant does
44:01 and how you helped and you're sending out
44:02 to zip codes, people are wanting these books
44:06 passed out and so there, you're actually sending
44:09 the whole zip codes for people.
44:11 Also you all have been sending out these books
44:14 and you all have been sponsoring them
44:16 to cover every state in the United States with,
44:22 and you may have how many states we have so far?
44:25 Yeah, it again, it's so exciting and...
44:27 Of course, is to churches, you're sending these
44:30 to every church in America.
44:32 Right now, all the Christian denomination,
44:35 Catholics, Baptists, you name it,
44:37 there was around 257,000 in the United States churches.
44:42 And right now because of all your help,
44:44 the people that are obviously watching,
44:46 not just the ones here,
44:47 we've gotten out 38 states completely.
44:50 Amen, 38.
44:52 And we've gotten five states that are partial,
44:54 which makes it 43 and so I don't want anybody
44:57 to quit yet because I want to see us get
44:59 to every church in the United States
45:03 and it's because of your help
45:04 that we're getting these things out like this.
45:06 And pastors, remember, it's not just one person,
45:10 these church represents millions of people,
45:12 Danny, millions.
45:14 It really does.
45:15 And we appreciate all that you all are doing to support,
45:17 but we have something else that's really exciting.
45:19 I wanna take the next few minutes
45:21 and talk about Bibles for Africa.
45:23 And what's happening, some incredible things
45:25 are happening, an opportunity.
45:27 Dwight is a mover and shaker.
45:28 And he's always, he's a visionary.
45:30 So he goes from one thing to another to another,
45:33 but he always completes what he starts of this one
45:35 before he goes to another one.
45:37 I appreciate that about him.
45:38 Tell us about Bibles for Africa?
45:41 We were praying this year saying,
45:43 Lord, what can we do to get to reach more
45:46 of the world and how can we get more people involved?
45:49 It takes everybody, it takes you,
45:51 it takes people that are out there,
45:52 people that maybe not even call themselves Christians,
45:55 how Lord can we reach this world
45:57 like the leaves-of-autumn with books
45:59 and we decided, we had somebody,
46:02 the southern Indian Ocean African division president
46:05 that came to ASI last August and he said,
46:08 and he came up to our booth and he said,
46:09 I know about Remnant, you print good quality books.
46:13 He said, "We would like to see you
46:15 get us two million books to two million people
46:19 in our division by next year."
46:21 And so they flew into Remnant, and we talked
46:25 and we prayed about it, we said, we'll do this.
46:26 Well, I flew over there, Danny, in October
46:29 and that was amazing.
46:31 There was a coliseum filled with people
46:32 that were taking Bible studies from lay people.
46:35 There was around 45,000 people in this stadium.
46:38 It wasn't from an evangelistic series
46:39 and I like evangelist series, these are lay people.
46:42 Lay people getting involved, amen?
46:44 Like you folks.
46:46 And so they were doing this and as I was talking,
46:48 I said, well, where are their Bibles.
46:52 They don't have Bibles.
46:54 They don't have money.
46:55 Some people will go four days.
46:57 Think about this, four days, no food, only water
47:00 so they can buy a Bible.
47:03 And we've got Bibles, I've got probably five
47:05 or six Bibles sitting on my shelf,
47:07 they will go four days with no food
47:09 because they don't make any money.
47:11 There's probably 35, 40% that are unemployed,
47:14 they have no job.
47:15 And 35% of those, the people in Southern Africa
47:18 have the HIV virus between ages 15 and 30.
47:21 Do we need to get to those people?
47:22 Yeah.
47:24 And so we got, we said,
47:25 well, we've got to get Bibles out
47:26 and we, we said, we're going to get
47:28 four million Bibles out between January
47:31 and December of this year.
47:33 We've just gotten 300,000 Bibles
47:35 that we're shipping over there and we've been shipping,
47:38 we shipped a container of 110,000 books like
47:41 Ten Commandments books, Danny, they're anxious to get those.
47:44 I've been over there three times
47:45 in the last five months
47:47 and those people over there watch 3ABN.
47:49 Amen. Amen.
47:50 I love it when people, when I go around,
47:52 they said, I saw you on 3ABN and I want you to know,
47:54 you tell Danny, you tell the people of 3ABN
47:56 that we watch that show not because of Danny
48:00 or you but because there's truth,
48:03 and we are blessed
48:04 and we're telling people about it.
48:05 It's exciting.
48:07 Amen. You can clap about that.
48:13 And, Danny, the neat thing about it is,
48:15 is that now people are calling us because
48:17 we're getting these Bibles, these Bibles right here,
48:20 Red Letter edition.
48:21 It's got a topical index in the back for $2 a Bible.
48:25 Can you imagine?
48:27 A Bible and not a cheap Bible.
48:28 What I mean by that is it's a cheap price.
48:31 I don't like cheap things.
48:32 I like cheap prices, but I like good quality stuff.
48:35 And we're getting those out.
48:36 We've got Baptists, we've got Catholics,
48:39 we have all the Christians out there,
48:41 they are saying, we wanna be a part of this.
48:42 How do people here
48:44 if they wanted to be a part of this?
48:45 How do they...
48:47 How do they help sponsor these?
48:49 There's two things you can do.
48:50 Send your used Bibles that are good used Bible,
48:54 send them to us and get on your knees
48:56 and pray what God would have you get
48:57 for every $2 that you give,
49:00 we get one Bible out,
49:01 and that's including a freight over to Southern Africa.
49:04 Amen. I mean, that's amazing.
49:07 Are you excited?
49:08 Yes. Amen.
49:10 I think we just have time.
49:11 Do you have that DVD clip ready?
49:13 Yes Were they able to get it? They got it, yes.
49:15 Just tell us quickly who you're interviewing?
49:18 We got a letter in the mail, we're getting lots of letters,
49:20 we got this letter and it's from Pastor CD Brooks.
49:23 How many you know Pastor CD Brooks?
49:25 He was watching Danny, I bet you can't guess
49:27 what station he was watching.
49:29 Oh, 3ABN, of course.
49:30 Amen, and him and his wife were watching.
49:32 He said he was in bed, they were watching the show
49:35 and he said this Bibles for Africa came on
49:38 and he gave a donation and he is excited.
49:41 And so this little clip tells about what, how he felt.
49:44 Let's see it right now.
50:26 I want you to let everyone know how you kind of got involved.
50:28 How did you find out about all this?
50:31 Dwight, it was almost accidental.
50:33 My wife and I were relaxing in bed
50:36 and you know there are not a lot of things
50:37 you can look at on television,
50:39 but we turned to one of our own stations
50:42 and you popped up with another fellow
50:46 and I wondered, what they're gonna talk about.
50:49 And you introduce this thing, Bible for Africa.
50:52 I'll never forget it.
50:53 I rose up and I said honey,
50:55 we can do that and she said, yes, we can.
50:58 It was just like our minds met.
51:01 And then we wrote you a letter and what a privilege
51:04 we think it was to be a part of it.
51:08 If we had the money, we'd be all of it,
51:10 you know, but to be a part of that
51:13 was a great blessing to us
51:15 and then to think of how much the Bible means
51:19 personally to these individuals.
51:21 Over here, we got Bibles lying around,
51:24 and we don't touch them.
51:26 I look forward to something, I almost dare
51:29 not think it
51:32 because I know who win souls.
51:35 Men don't.
51:37 God does, the Holy Spirit does.
51:39 I know that.
51:40 And yet the promise is that when we get to heaven,
51:44 people will come up and say towards you
51:47 who invited me here.
51:49 There are people listening to tapes and watching DVDs
51:55 that you don't know anything about.
51:57 But they are listening for a true word
52:01 and they will associate that and the invitation to heaven
52:04 with an individual.
52:06 Somebody will come up and say, Dwight,
52:08 because you got those Bibles to Africa.
52:19 So, folks, if you want to make a sacrifice
52:22 for a great cause and you wanna do it
52:25 with people who are not trying to become rich,
52:30 who are interested in putting your funds
52:33 and your contributions into the work itself
52:37 that of getting these Bibles out to hungry men and women.
52:41 This project rings true.
52:54 Amen.
52:56 All right.
53:00 Dwight, you're planning on not only getting books
53:03 and Bibles to Africa,
53:05 but books into different continents
53:06 by the container load, right?
53:08 By the containers, it's past the cases, folks,
53:10 past pallets, it's containers.
53:11 Dwight told me earlier today, he said, I'm ready, I'm tired.
53:15 I'm ready for Jesus to come back.
53:17 I want to do more than I've ever done before.
53:19 Give us an address if people wanna support
53:22 and find out more information.
53:24 Do we have an address ready?

57:18 and we're just thankful for the babies
57:20 and for these young people, and these are...
57:23 Should the Lord tarry, it's all of our young folks
57:25 who are at the church, not only tomorrow,
57:27 but some of them are in the church today
57:29 because they're already doing Kids' Times programs.
57:31 You know, our young people have some tremendous resources
57:35 and we need to be using them, don't we?
