How did you get started? 01:17 About seven years ago 01:19 we decided to put together ministry 01:21 that God can use to reach young people 01:23 and just reach anybody 01:24 that needed to hear about the word of God. 01:26 Yes, and the name Laos and Harmony, 01:29 tell us about that. 01:30 Laos is Greek for people. So we're people in harmony. 01:34 And we got it from a side ministry, 01:36 the Laos movement and they are missionaries. 01:39 So we decided to take that name Laos, People in Harmony. 01:43 And do you write most of the songs 01:45 or they, or they original songs or they are covers? 01:48 Yeah, well, we do all original songs 01:50 and God did bless me with the ability to write 01:52 and arrange songs. 01:54 I get help though from them... 01:56 That's great. I'm from Tampa. 14:17 Arlan Hapton from Orlando, Florida. 14:19 All right. 14:20 So now some of you guys are from Florida 14:22 and Virginia did you say? 14:25 How did you get together? 14:28 I'd say, probably because a lot of us 14:30 know each other from either singing together 14:32 in another groups and things like that. 14:34 Okay. 14:35 The Lord kind of work it out that 14:36 when we needed a new member someone knew somebody else 14:39 and kind of workout that way. 14:41 Oh, cool. And often do you practice? 14:43 Wow. 14:46 Whenever we can. 14:48 Which is like, do you get together often? 14:51 'Cause you're in different states. 14:52 Well, we use technology. 14:55 What we do-- first of all 14:56 when we get together we come from our different destinations 15:00 and we meet in a mutual place 15:03 so that travel is good for everybody. 15:04 Oh, so kind of a central location? 15:07 Yeah, correct. Okay. 15:09 'Cause it's interesting to me how groups function. 15:12 You know, like especially when you're 15:14 kind of all over the country, 15:15 like Take 6 is all around the country 15:17 and so you kind of wonder, 15:19 how do you guys ever get together? 15:22 Well, what helps a lot is, 15:27 Kelvin will record everybody's parts at his house. 15:33 Okay. 15:34 Each, each individual harmony part 15:36 and then he would email it to the corresponding members, 15:40 so we practice the part on our own. 15:43 So when we get together it cuts down the learning time. 15:47 So all we do is, when we get together 15:49 we just polish the rough edges, 15:51 but, by that time everybody pretty much knows 15:54 what their assignment is and what they need to do. 15:56 I love it. I love it, that's great. 15:59 Where did the name 3AM come from? 16:03 Well, 3AM actually, it's an acronym 16:05 for Three Angels Message taken from Revelation 14. 16:08 Like 3ABN, Three Angels Broadcasting. 16:11 Kind of sort, this is something like that. 16:12 It's amazing. 16:13 Actually it's funny, so many times people 16:15 when they announces, they will say, no 3ABN, 16:17 I mean 3AM, so we're pretty used to that. 16:21 We actually use it a lot to kind of, 16:24 open the door for conversation. 16:27 Lot of my co-workers, friends, 16:29 things like that will ask those questions. 16:30 Hey, 3AM is it 3 o'clock in the morning? 16:33 Well, somebody said, what time is it? 16:34 Three Adventist Men or like there was a I think 16:37 a little more than just 3. 16:38 But yes, that's really word comes from, 16:42 it's a matter of... making sure people understand 16:44 what it is that we're all about? 16:45 Which is the second coming of Christ 16:47 and that we have to be ready when He comes. 16:49 Yes.
