00:01 And then, Miss Cinda said.
00:02 Yeah, she said to squeeze the lemons.
00:06 Hey, Jason.
00:07 Hey, girls, have you seen my sandwich
00:09 I left it in here yesterday?
00:12 Was it a chickpea sandwich with lettuce and tomato?
00:15 Yeah, that's the one.
00:17 Uh-oh.
00:18 Here you go.
00:20 You go ahead and hold on to that,
00:21 I'll find something else to eat.
00:23 Okay. Hey, I have an idea!
00:25 We can make you a new sandwich. Yeah.
00:29 Oh, I make the best peanut butter
00:31 and jelly sandwich in the whole planet.
00:34 I make my own special jelly.
00:35 Well, Julie, I don't know about that.
00:37 My vegan grill cheese is so good,
00:40 it'll make your taste buds say, "Mm-hmm!
00:42 That's a might good sandwich!"
00:44 That doesn't even make any sense,
00:46 taste buds don't talk!
00:48 Oh, they will after you eat my sandwich.
00:51 Well then, why don't we both
00:53 make Jason a sandwich and see
00:54 which one he likes best?
00:58 I don't really have time for that.
00:59 Are you ready?
01:01 Wait there. On your mark.
01:02 Get set.
01:03 Hang on a second. Go!
02:40 Well, Jason, it's the moment we've all been waiting for.
02:44 May we present you with your lunch.
02:49 As you can see, the grilled cheese
02:51 was prepared with wheat bread
02:52 because I know that that's your favorite.
02:54 Oh, Jason, would you like
02:56 some orange juice to go with your lunch?
02:59 Whoa, whoa, whoa, hey, that's a foul!
03:01 Ref, ref.
03:03 Tiara, you are the ref.
03:05 Oh, no.
03:07 No, wait don't!
03:17 Tiara, that's rather intriguing.
03:21 Oh, thank you.
03:28 And, Julie, this is rather interesting.
03:32 So, who's do you like best?
03:35 I think I'm gonna go with a banana for the day.
03:37 What, oh... Are you sure?
03:39 You didn't even try
03:40 my original mustard dipping sauce.
03:42 Girls, you know what, I really have to run.
03:44 Okay.
03:46 Well, bye, Jason, we'll save you some extras.
03:52 You know, he doesn't know what he's missing out on.
03:55 Tell me about it.
03:57 Hey, do you wanna try some of my mustard sauce?
04:00 With my PB and J?
04:02 Yeah, sure.
04:04 Oh, looks like Kitchen Fun's about to start.
04:06 Oh.
04:07 Stay tuned to find out how to make
04:08 all new recipes here on Kitchen Fun.
04:11 Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do...
04:14 Do it all to the glory of God.
04:18 Hey, girls, have you seen my soup?
04:44 Hello.
04:46 And welcome to our Kids Camp Kitchen Fun.
04:50 Boys and girls,
04:52 I hope you love to be in the kitchen
04:54 because it is always gonna be fun,
04:58 if you're doing something in the kitchen.
05:02 Who loves to be in the kitchen?
05:04 Me!
05:06 Me too!
05:08 Oh, boy, who would like to find out
05:11 what we're cooking today?
05:13 I know.
05:14 What do you think?
05:16 I think we're cooking blueberry muffins.
05:18 Are you sure? Yes.
05:20 Are you sure
05:21 it's not Brussels sprout muffins?
05:24 Yes, I'm sure it's blueberry muffins.
05:28 Who would like to make Brussels sprout muffins?
05:31 Not me. Not me.
05:33 No?
05:34 Oliver, not you?
05:36 How about if we make turnip muffins?
05:39 No!
05:42 Jonah's raising his hand.
05:44 He did.
05:45 Well, I think that Scarlett's saw
05:51 and this is what we're making boys and girls.
05:54 This is...
05:55 What is this?
05:57 Blueberry muffins.
05:58 Right.
06:00 This is oatmeal blueberry muffins.
06:04 Okay, let's get started.
06:08 Okay, I want you to take your,
06:11 get your little bowl like this
06:15 and get your flaxseed
06:18 and your assistants can help you with flaxseeds.
06:20 Let me show them, just a minute, Scarlett.
06:22 Your flaxseed is like this,
06:25 and you wanna put one tablespoon
06:28 of ground flaxseed into your bowl.
06:32 So put the flaxseed into your bowl.
06:37 That's one tablespoon of flaxseed,
06:40 we're gonna put that in our bowl,
06:42 and now we're going to put in
06:44 three tablespoons of water.
06:48 So we're gonna measure out three tablespoons of water,
06:52 thank you.
06:54 So take your water in your bowl here
06:56 and put in three tablespoons of water
06:58 into your flaxseed.
07:01 Thank you, Caitlin.
07:02 One, now let Caitlin, okay that's fine.
07:07 So take turns, let Jonah do it too, Sebastian.
07:11 Take turns.
07:12 Okay three, then, I want you to just kinda go like this.
07:18 Just swirl it around, okay?
07:21 Just kinda swirl it around and mix it up a little bit.
07:24 Does anybody know why I'm starting
07:27 with flaxseed in water?
07:30 Because this is going to be
07:33 a vegan muffin.
07:37 And when you do vegan, you don't add an egg.
07:41 So instead of an egg, we add flaxseed and water.
07:46 And flaxseed and water will help to bind
07:50 which is means it helps
07:52 make your ingredients stick together.
07:55 So you guys learned something new.
07:58 So you're gonna do this first and you let it sit.
08:01 So set it aside, 'cause we're not gonna use it.
08:05 We're gonna let it sit, okay?
08:07 Now get your big green bowls,
08:10 put in half a cup oats,
08:15 then you're going to put in your flour.
08:18 Now, this is the white whole wheat flour.
08:22 Then you're going to put in
08:25 your baking powder and your baking soda,
08:30 which is your two white.
08:32 And then you also have salt, which is white.
08:35 You can put that in.
08:39 Then you're going to have your ground ginger.
08:45 Smell this, you guys, smell it.
08:48 That's ground ginger.
08:52 That's brown sugar, Jonah.
08:55 So get the little one, smell the little one.
08:59 That Sebastian, smell that.
09:00 That's ginger.
09:03 Okay, then you're going to need
09:06 your ground cinnamon.
09:08 So you get your ground cinnamon
09:10 and you need one teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
09:16 So one teaspoon and when you're measuring,
09:20 kids, make sure that you measure
09:23 and then level it off
09:26 'cause you don't need like big heaping.
09:28 So level it off, you could level it off
09:31 with your spatula if you have it, okay.
09:35 So you have your cinnamon in.
09:37 Now I want you to stir it up a little bit.
09:41 When you get it all stirred up,
09:44 'cause you want all those dry ingredients
09:46 to be mixed together well.
09:49 When you get it all stirred up,
09:51 then I want you to make a little hole in the middle
09:54 of the dry ingredients.
09:57 Oh, you didn't add your flour?
10:01 Add your flour and add your baking powder.
10:06 And go ahead
10:07 and add your brown sugar too, kids.
10:10 Add your brown sugar.
10:12 All of your brown sugar and then mix it up.
10:16 One of you can pour.
10:17 Here, you can put the ginger in.
10:20 How you doing, guys?
10:22 Okay, you have it.
10:23 You guys, get you salt in there.
10:27 Okay, did you put your cinnamon in?
10:29 Yes. Okay.
10:30 Now, when you get all that mixed up,
10:32 I want you to make a hole in the center,
10:36 make a hole in the center.
10:38 Good job.
10:39 And add your apple sauce,
10:41 and make sure you use your spatula
10:43 so you get it all out.
10:46 Okay?
10:50 Add, yeah.
10:52 Use your spatula to get it all out.
11:01 Very good, very good.
11:03 How's it going? Good job.
11:07 Okay.
11:08 Now you're gonna add your flaxseed.
11:10 But before you add your flaxseed,
11:13 pick it up, and kinda swirl it.
11:15 Do you see how it's gotten congealed?
11:18 It's gotten thicker, do you see that?
11:22 Kind of like what a egg white looks like.
11:25 See that?
11:27 Okay, dump that in and then stir everything up.
11:32 Use your spatula, get all your flaxseed out.
11:35 Now you're going to add
11:38 one-third cup of maple syrup.
11:42 So here's your maple syrup,
11:44 and when you are measuring
11:49 a liquid,
11:51 let me just ask you, kids,
11:53 when you are measuring a liquid,
11:55 do you know that
11:56 you always use a liquid measuring cup.
11:59 And don't ever hold it in you hand.
12:02 Set it on the counter.
12:04 Elijah, you wanna pour yours?
12:06 Find your third cup,
12:08 find the line that says one-third.
12:12 That's one and a line and a three.
12:15 Maybe, Miss Anna,
12:17 you can make sure they have a third.
12:19 Make sure it's a third.
12:21 Do you guys find the third?
12:23 Okay, put that in.
12:26 Always set it on a counter, boys and girls.
12:29 And look, do you have the third line?
12:31 Where's the one-third?
12:33 Now get way down here
12:34 and see you have to add a little bit more
12:37 because it's just under.
12:38 We have a half. Oh, okay.
12:40 Pour it some into. Give her a little bit more.
12:44 Very good.
12:46 Good job, Caitlin.
12:48 Okay, put your maple syrup in there
12:50 and stir it very good.
12:54 You need to have it
12:55 all your ingredients need to be combined.
12:59 How's it going, Jonah?
13:00 Good.
13:02 All your ingredients need to be
13:05 smooth and combined.
13:09 Good job.
13:10 Make sure you get to the very bottom,
13:13 take your spatulas and get to the very bottom
13:16 because sometimes your dry ingredients...
13:20 Very good, Kenzie and Kynadee, very good.
13:25 Now, you add your blueberries but very gently.
13:30 There's a technique, let me show you.
13:33 We call it "Folding in" okay?
13:36 So wait just a minute.
13:38 Let me show you
13:41 on the main on this one,
13:43 so I'm gonna put my blueberries in here,
13:46 let me just have you stand right here
13:47 by me, Scarlett.
13:49 Can you guys see?
13:51 I'm gonna pour my blueberries in.
13:55 Oh, we gotta get it all.
13:57 And then for folding, you don't wanna stir
14:00 because then we're gonna mash it up
14:02 so you're going to take your spatula,
14:05 go under, flip over very gently.
14:10 Under and flip over,
14:13 just to get your berries mixed a little bit.
14:19 Sometimes if you hold your spatula like this,
14:22 you can get a better grip.
14:24 See how I'm doing it with my thumb
14:26 here to support and I can go under,
14:29 and then I can go over.
14:31 So sometimes that helps.
14:33 If you hold
14:37 your spatula like this,
14:40 you'll be able to stir a little bit better, see?
14:43 There you go, that's it.
14:47 Very good, very good.
14:50 Let me see Jonah.
14:51 Jonah, sometimes if you hold your spatula like this,
14:55 and put your thumb there,
14:56 you'd be able to go under and fold it better, okay?
15:00 Now I want you to...
15:02 Assistants, you can put up the muffin tins,
15:05 and now we want you
15:07 to put it into your muffin tins,
15:09 and you wanna fill your muffin tins
15:12 just a little bit over half.
15:15 Halfway, okay?
15:17 A little bit over halfway.
15:20 You can take your spatula and gently drop in,
15:25 let me show you.
15:26 Okay, you want to take your spatula,
15:28 gently drop in
15:30 and you can use your finger if you want,
15:32 but since we all washed our hands,
15:35 and just put a little over halfway.
15:37 That might be a little much but you can try it.
15:44 Who loves blueberry muffins?
15:47 Oh, good.
15:52 Who needs a paper towel?
15:55 All right, I'll bring some paper towels over.
15:59 Here's a paper towel,
16:01 here's another paper towel for you, Scarlett,
16:05 and here's a paper towel for you Caitlin.
16:09 Jonah, you need a paper towel?
16:11 Yes, Miss. Okay, there you go.
16:16 Why don't you move the...
16:18 Yeah, move it like that and let's go like that
16:22 and you can go in between, okay.
16:26 You guys have paper towels.
16:27 You want more?
16:30 You know, if you happened to get it on your hand,
16:34 it won't hurt if you taste it because there's no egg in this.
16:39 There's no dairy in this.
16:47 What you think, Tucker?
16:54 How are they doing, Miss Anna?
16:56 Good?
16:58 Looks good, girls.
17:01 How we doing, guys?
17:05 Does anyone need another spatula?
17:08 Kynadee, would you like my spatula here?
17:11 That might be easier than this spatula.
17:14 Let's do that.
17:18 And, as soon as you get this done,
17:21 I'm gonna teach you
17:23 how to make a frosting, so that you can frost them.
17:29 Oh, I should just keep this in my hand, huh?
17:35 Do you know what?
17:36 When you get all messy with cooking,
17:38 you know what that means?
17:40 We're having fun? Yes, exactly!
17:44 And you know, if you make a mess,
17:47 you can have fun cleaning it up, can't you?
17:50 Yes!
17:51 Boys and girls, I hope that you are learning
17:56 some special tips on how to make
18:00 some yummy muffins.
18:03 And you know what? Don't worry, is it good?
18:06 Don't worry if you don't have the recipe
18:09 because you can go on to our website,
18:12 and that is 3ABNkidsCamp.tv
18:18 and you can download the recipes
18:20 and print them yourselves
18:22 so you'll have them.
18:23 So don't worry about it.
18:24 Okay, how many do you have your muffin tins filled?
18:29 You have some more to go, Hun.
18:31 There you go, Scarlett.
18:32 You want another paper towel?
18:34 Okay, how we doing over here?
18:39 Does it taste good? Yes, very.
18:43 And it's gonna taste even better baked,
18:45 do you know that?
18:47 Yes. And you know what?
18:49 Miss Cinda baked some ahead of time
18:53 so that you can frost
18:56 two muffins each and eat them.
19:00 So, assistant, if you can take if they finished that,
19:04 then let's get their frosting ingredients,
19:08 give them each their own bowl,
19:11 and let's set this over here,
19:14 let's set this right over here you're gonna need these.
19:19 Thank you so much.
19:22 Okay, you each get your own bowl.
19:27 How you're doing over there? Okay.
19:30 Okay, you're gonna each get your own bowl,
19:34 and you're each gonna get...
19:38 Here's your bowl.
19:41 Very good, Scarlett, that's awesome.
19:47 Okay, we're gonna start now
19:51 with making our glaze.
19:53 So you're gonna each get
19:55 one cup of powdered sugar
20:00 so you can get one cup,
20:02 put it in your bowl,
20:04 and then you're gonna take two teaspoons
20:08 of fresh lemon juice.
20:09 So, as soon as you get ready, squeeze your lemons.
20:14 Yes.
20:18 Yes, we'll share.
20:19 As soon... Let him get his first.
20:24 Okay, then you need to squeeze your lemons
20:26 and you'll want two teaspoons of fresh lemon juice.
20:34 And here's your tea...
20:35 You guys can use this teaspoon.
20:38 Okay, good.
20:39 You want to squeeze it?
20:41 Yes, squeeze your lemons.
20:43 We each need a lemon?
20:45 Yes, and two teaspoons,
20:48 it'll probably do like half a lemon
20:50 or little bit more,
20:52 but you could do all three of your lemons.
20:55 That's good.
20:58 Okay, all right.
21:00 So squeeze your lemons, and then here's...
21:02 You each have spoons,
21:05 so that you'll be able to stir with.
21:08 So after you need two teaspoons of fresh lemon juice,
21:13 then we're going to have
21:15 a fourth of a teaspoon of vanilla
21:18 and a fourth of a teaspoon of almond extract, okay?
21:28 Good job.
21:29 Gonna need lots of muscles, Jonah.
21:32 Jonah, you twist it, that's it, you twist it.
21:37 Good job.
21:38 You knew what, Jonah, you can, let me show you.
21:40 You can go back and forth, look.
21:44 Like that. Okay?
21:48 Gotta get your elbow going, Jonah.
21:50 That's it.
21:52 Perfect.
21:57 Okay, you guys, now measure
21:59 when you get that much, measure out two teaspoons.
22:05 And this is a teaspoon so you can measure it in that.
22:08 Okay, and then when you get your lemon juice in,
22:11 you're gonna put in one fourth teaspoon of vanilla,
22:15 one fourth teaspoon of almond extract.
22:21 I think you might have two teaspoons here.
22:24 Use your teaspoon,
22:25 and you can just pour it like this
22:28 and measure that way.
22:30 We need two of those, all the way full.
22:44 If you roll them, exactly.
22:49 Exactly, one of the almond and one of the vanilla.
22:54 You did two?
22:56 Okay, so now take your little one,
22:59 we'll have to borrow...
23:02 We'll borrow this, okay?
23:05 Just a minute.
23:06 You're gonna take...
23:08 Fill this with that once and this once, okay?
23:12 So a fourth of cup...
23:14 I keep saying a cup!
23:16 Oh my, you guys are gonna
23:18 have awfully funny tasting muffins.
23:24 A fourth of a...
23:25 What is it?
23:27 A teaspoon. Thank you.
23:29 A fourth of a teaspoon, boys and girls,
23:32 of almond extract,
23:34 a fourth of a teaspoon of vanilla.
23:38 When you get all that in there, stir it up.
23:44 And it should be the consistent...
23:47 When you lift your spoon,
23:48 it should gently glide off of your spoon.
23:54 Okay?
23:56 And then I'm gonna give you each two muffins,
23:59 and I'm gonna show you, take your spoon,
24:02 and stir it up.
24:03 And don't start, don't glaze your muffins yet
24:06 because I wanna show you how to do it.
24:08 There you go.
24:11 Pardon?
24:14 Add more lemon juice to it.
24:17 If you didn't measure
24:21 your powdered sugar good,
24:23 that's when it gets too thick, so add more lemon juice.
24:29 Just add more lemon juice, there's no harm in it.
24:33 Here's two muffins.
24:34 Pardon?
24:37 Just add more lemon juice
24:38 and if there's a whole lemon right there.
24:41 Not yet, we're gonna frost it.
24:45 We're gonna frost it first.
24:48 Did everybody get...? Did I give everybody two?
24:51 Oh, no. Yes, Sebi, I got you two.
24:54 Did everybody get two?
24:57 There you go.
25:00 Okay, all right.
25:02 How's everybody's...
25:07 Oh, very good.
25:09 Okay, Scarlett,
25:11 I'm gonna use yours for an example.
25:15 Okay, this is how it should be, boys and girls.
25:20 Can you see mine?
25:22 This is how it should be, look.
25:26 Like this?
25:28 Perfect, Caitlin, perfect.
25:34 Is yours doing that?
25:35 If it's not doing that, add more lemon juice.
25:38 And if you need more lemon juice,
25:40 let me know because we have more.
25:46 So here's what you do.
25:49 You're gonna drizzle it over your muffin.
25:53 In fact, Scarlett, can you turn right here?
25:57 Kids, look at...
25:58 So hold this, can you hold this for me?
26:00 Okay kids look real fast, here's what you do.
26:04 You're just gonna drizzle it over your muffin like this.
26:07 You can drizzle one way,
26:09 and then you can drizzle it the other way, see.
26:11 Okay?
26:13 And there's yours over here to do.
26:15 And if you want, you can lick your fingers.
26:22 What do you think?
26:24 And when you get your muffin all drizzled, you can eat it.
26:33 You're welcome to eat it.
26:36 What do you think, Elijah?
26:38 What do you think, Caitlin?
26:39 It's good. Is it good?
26:41 You can eat it. Mmm.
26:44 Is that good?
26:46 Is that good, Scarlett?
26:49 What'd you think, Jonah and Sebastian?
26:51 It's good.
26:54 Of you haven't got to eat your muffin yet.
27:00 Oh, that's a good glaze.
27:03 And then just drizzle it over.
27:05 Perfect.
