00:21 I'm John Bradshaw. 00:22 Thanks for joining me for part 5 of our five-part series, 00:27 "Conspiracy, More Than Just a Theory." 00:30 We're looking at the greatest conspiracy of them all, 00:33 the conspiracy to bring down the government of God 00:37 and to cause Planet Earth to fall finally and forever 00:41 into the hands of a fallen angel. 00:44 This conspiracy is actually quite easy to see through, 00:48 but like most modern conspiracies, 00:50 your ability to see this one for what it really is 00:53 correlates with your desire to actually want to do so. 00:58 Look around the world. 01:00 Standards are down. Violence is up. 01:04 The amount of people in the United States 01:05 who claim no religious faith at all 01:08 has risen more than 250 percent in the last 25 years or so. 01:14 While the internet can be a tool for great good, 01:17 it's also a toxic wasteland. 01:20 Morality as we used to know it has been turned upside down. 01:24 It's evidence that there's something going on 01:27 behind the scenes. 01:29 There's a spiritual war taking place, 01:32 a battle for the soul of every person alive. 01:37 The Bible says in the book of Revelation, 01:39 "Rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. 01:42 Woe to the [inhabitants] of the earth and of the sea! 01:45 For the devil is come down to you, having great wrath, 01:48 because he knows that he has...a short time." 01:52 The less time he has, the more furiously the devil works. 01:57 What that means for us today is that you have 01:59 an increasing amount of people departing more and more 02:04 from solid biblical principles. 02:06 Now, you might expect that as knowledge increases, 02:10 that as we march down through the stream of time, 02:13 that people would actually trend towards believing 02:16 what makes sense, what's true, and what's accurate. 02:20 But in this massive universe-wide conspiracy, 02:24 that's not what's happening. 02:26 Now, I'm going to give you an example of that 02:28 in just a moment, but first, let's take a look 02:31 at another modern-day conspiracy theory. 02:33 ♪[Subdued dreamy music]♪ 02:37 When I was a kid growing up, 02:38 we had in our family home a globe. 02:41 I was fascinated by that globe. 02:43 Far-off countries and continents and vast oceans. 02:47 And like every other globe I had or have ever seen, it was round. 02:53 It was a representation of Planet Earth, 02:56 and it was spherical, like a ball. 03:00 Every photograph that you have ever seen taken of Planet Earth 03:02 from outer space-- 03:04 and there have been countless thousands of them taken-- 03:08 shows that this earth is round. 03:12 But in spite of what most would believe is scientific evidence, 03:16 photographic evidence, eyewitness testimony, 03:20 the flat earth movement is alive and well. 03:24 It was on the brink of dying out when the internet was born. 03:29 And with the advent of Facebook and then YouTube, 03:32 there's no shortage of people willing to share their claims 03:35 that the earth is not spheroid. 03:39 A number of very high-profile people have come out 03:42 and stated very publicly that they believe the earth is flat. 03:47 In fact, there's a surprising chorus of voices 03:51 around the world stating that, in their opinion, 03:54 the earth is not a sphere. 03:56 And why do they think that? 03:57 Well, they believe it's all a conspiracy led by NASA 04:01 and other government agencies. 04:03 What about those photos that we've seen from space? 04:06 It's showing us, we thought, the earth is round. 04:10 Well, they say they're all fakes. 04:13 So could it be true? 04:14 Has NASA spent the last 60 years fabricating false research, 04:19 staging fictitious missions, 04:21 creating thousands and thousands of fake photos and videos 04:25 all in the name of a hoax? 04:27 Not likely. In fact, no way in the world. 04:32 You don't have to look very hard to find major holes 04:35 in the flat earth theory. 04:37 But there are people just like you and me 04:39 who believe it wholeheartedly. 04:41 There's a reason I'm in beautiful Washington state. 04:43 I've come here to talk to a man who is fully persuaded 04:47 the earth is flat. 04:49 His name is Mark Sargent. 04:52 Mark, let me begin by asking you this. 04:54 >>Mark Sargent: Yes. 04:55 >>John: How did you get into, how did you come to embrace 04:57 the idea that the earth is flat? 05:00 >>Mark: Boredom, sheer conspiracy boredom, 05:02 and that, and that is not a lie, and by that I mean 05:05 I was into just about every conspiracy you can think of. 05:08 And I wasn't a tinfoil hat-wearing, you know, 05:11 Ted Kaczynski type guy. 05:13 I was, I had an opinion on just about every conspiracy. 05:15 And every conspiracy person knows about flat earth, 05:19 and they all hate it. 05:20 It's terrible. 05:21 Everyone knows--it's like flat earth is silly. 05:22 Uh, it's ridiculous. 05:24 And it was one of my bucket lists. 05:26 It's like, okay, I can shut this thing down. 05:28 And so that's what I wanted to do, and I said, 05:30 "I'm going to look at flat earth for the first time ever." 05:33 And I clicked on a flat earth video on YouTube 05:36 and immediately had a visceral response to it. 05:39 Nine months later, uh, beginning of 2015, 05:42 I was, I was beside myself. 05:44 I couldn't prove the globe in a court of law anymore. 05:47 So I made a series of videos called "The Flat Earth Clues," 05:50 put them out to the internet. 05:52 I said, you know what, the internet's smarter than I am. 05:54 tell me where I went wrong. 05:56 And everybody came back and said, 05:58 "You know what, you may be on to something." 06:00 And here we are, four years later. 06:02 >>John: So, many people are going to say--here's the earth. 06:07 >>Mark: Right. 06:08 >>John: It's a very small earth, if this was the earth. 06:09 >>Mark: Right. 06:10 >>John: But here's the earth. This is what we grew up knowing. 06:12 >>Mark: Yeah. 06:12 >>John: So-- 06:13 >>Mark: Right. 06:14 >>John: ...explain to me how that-- 06:16 >>Mark: How is-- 06:16 >>John: ...isn't that. 06:18 >>Mark: Yeah, how is this globe not what we think it is? 06:20 >>John: Correct. 06:21 >>Mark: And I'll give you some short, the crib notes of this. 06:23 Uh, mainstream science says that we are exactly this. 06:26 We are this tiny little rock covered by a thin sheen 06:30 of water, which is covered by a thin sheen of, 06:32 of smoky atmosphere that's spinning around the universe 06:36 in five different directions, 06:38 and we are absolutely meaningless, 06:39 we have no purpose in life, and we're an accident. 06:43 Flat earth community says the exact opposite-- 06:45 that you're not this, that you're more something like this, 06:48 which is a flat enclosed world 06:52 with the North Pole at the center 06:53 and the outer rim being made out of a continent 06:57 called Antarctica, 06:58 that we're covered in some sort of dome-like structure, 07:02 that it was made by the Creator, or God, 07:06 and if it was made by the Creator, 07:08 then we absolutely have purpose. 07:11 And this is what all cultures believed in at one point. 07:14 Up until really about 500 years ago, 07:16 just about every culture you could think of drew this image, 07:20 instead of this. 07:21 And it was only science that came along later that changed it 07:23 from this to this. 07:24 >>John: So why do you think science would have done that? 07:27 The, the understanding, as I understand it, 07:29 is that there are people who, who, 07:31 who know the earth is flat-- 07:32 >>Mark: Right. 07:33 >>John: ...claim, however, that it is spherical. 07:35 Why make that claim? 07:36 >>Mark: Well, [sighs] 500 hundred years ago, 07:38 I can't exactly tell you why they said it, 07:41 but what I'm saying here is even our best and brightest, 07:44 even our best scientists didn't know until about 1960 07:47 what the world actually looked like. 07:48 So, the big question is, is that, if you, 07:52 the best and brightest figured out in 1960, 07:55 would they tell people? 07:56 If they've been telling people for 500 years that it was this, 07:58 they say mathematically this is what it should look like, 08:01 and then 500 years later in 1960 it's not this, but it's this-- 08:05 would you tell people? 08:06 No, no, you wouldn't because at that point 08:08 the major institutions that you've built up 08:10 over the last five centuries are in jeopardy, 08:12 so you have to keep this a secret for as long as possible. 08:15 >>John: So you think that science just feels like it has 08:17 too much to lose because it would be embarrassed 08:20 about its last so many years of-- 08:21 >>Mark: Way, way more. 08:22 >>John: ...teaching? 08:23 >>Mark: Way more than that. 08:24 What I'm talking about is, is three-fold, meaning-- 08:26 think about what would happen 08:27 if all of a sudden the UN announced that, 08:28 "Oh, yeah, by the way, this is what it looks like." 08:30 Think of what might happen. 08:32 Uh, first thing would be academically. 08:34 Uh, every university in every country-- 08:36 we're talking astrophysics and astronomy-- 08:38 would have to shut down tomorrow. 08:39 And they would not reopen. 08:40 The remaining physical sciences-- 08:42 geology, hydrology, biology, archaeology-- 08:44 you'd have to be retooled from the ground up. 08:45 That's every university. That's just academically. 08:48 Economically, world markets would have to shut down 08:50 for several months just to figure out 08:52 what this means exactly. 08:53 You know, I mean, come on, 08:54 if Donald Trump caught pneumonia tomorrow, 08:56 the markets would react. 08:57 Imagine what would happen if you showed them this. 08:59 But the big thing is religiously, 09:00 which is the five major religious houses of this world, 09:03 uh, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity. 09:07 You're all of a sudden giving them leverage against science, 09:10 and you're asking them to show restraint. 09:12 Not an easy thing to do 09:13 because science would come back and say, 09:15 "Okay, so you were wrong about this; 09:18 what else are you wrong about? 09:19 Let's revisit things like carbon dating, evolution, 09:21 the Big Bang theory, dark matter." 09:23 It goes on and on. 09:24 >>John: I'm really fascinated that you connect the flat earth 09:26 with creation. 09:27 >>Mark: Yes. 09:28 >>John: And it seems that you connect the spherical earth 09:31 with Darwinism and evolution. 09:33 >>Mark: Yes. Yeah, very, very much so. 09:35 Uh, science built their institution off this icon. 09:39 Everything that they do is based off of this. 09:42 This is where the, this is their starting point. 09:44 >>John: So, we've sent satellites to Jupiter 09:48 and through, almost through the bands of Saturn 09:50 and so on and so on. 09:51 >>Mark: Right. 09:52 >>John: What are they sending back? 09:53 What are we seeing from the Hubble Telescope? 09:54 >>Mark: You're seeing what they want you to see. 09:57 And that's a great question because what I mean is 10:01 every space story comes out, 10:03 and we've been seeing a lot more of them recently 10:05 in the last few years. 10:06 Ever since we started doing our thing, 10:08 there have been something--what I call "space beat" stories. 10:11 They don't care if you even read the article. 10:14 All they want you to do is glance at the headline 10:16 because if you glance at the headline, 10:17 and you even register the words, just for a second, 10:20 it's all the same thing, and that is, 10:21 "Hey, there's a thing on Mars that could be a face." 10:24 "Hey, there's a hexagon on Saturn." 10:25 "Hey, we're reclassifying Pluto." 10:27 And so on and so on. 10:28 It's all the same thing, and that is, "You're on a globe." 10:31 It's just reenforcement for the globe. 10:33 They're trying to keep this as secret as long as possible, 10:37 and it's only now starting to fall apart. 10:38 >>John: So, are the other planets spherical? 10:41 >>Mark: They don't even exist. They're just lights in the sky. 10:43 If you go to a planetarium, and you look up at Jupiter, 10:46 and you have a pair of binoculars, 10:47 well, does it make Jupiter more or less real? 10:50 It's like, well, it doesn't matter 10:51 because I'm in a building. 10:52 It's like, yeah, who's to say when you walk out 10:54 of that building you're just walking into a much bigger one? 10:56 That's all we're really talking about here, 10:58 a giant Truman Show, 10:59 a giant structure with walls and a floor and a ceiling. 11:03 >>John: As you were researching this, 11:04 you said it took you nine months to arrive at the position 11:07 you now find yourself in. 11:08 >>Mark: Right. 11:09 >>John: What were the difficult questions 11:10 where you said, "Ooh, the, the round earthers 11:12 have really got a good point here"? 11:15 >>Mark: So, on a flat earth model, for example, 11:17 the, probably the weakest point we have-- 11:19 and it's not that weak because there's nothing 11:21 we can do about it-- is the Antarctic sun. 11:24 Meaning, if the sun and the moon are traveling around 11:26 like mobiles above a child's crib, uh, 11:30 and the North Pole's at the center, 11:31 well, the Antarctic coastline can't get 24 hours of sun 11:34 unless you have multiple light sources, 11:36 or there's something going on with the light sources 11:38 that we don't know about, and that wouldn't surprise me. 11:40 Remember, the technology that we have now that we're using 11:43 at this point is still not that advanced. 11:45 We've only had HD televisions for 20 years. 11:47 So the Antarctic sun is probably the, the, the worst, 11:50 but compared to all the other points we have, 11:53 doesn't even begin to balance the scales. 11:55 >>John: So, tell me about the flat earth community. 11:58 How big is this community? 12:00 >>Mark: It's huge. 12:01 There's, there's so many millions of people in this. 12:04 I, I'm scared to even, uh, suggest the numbers. 12:07 Meaning, uh, and I didn't even know how big they were 12:09 until a survey came out by a research company in Britain 12:14 called You.Gov--but not affiliated with us in any way. 12:17 They're a scientific research company. 12:18 They wanted to prove it for themselves, 12:20 so they polled 10,000 Americans to see who was believing in this 12:23 and who wasn't. 12:24 And the number that really, really jumped out at them 12:27 was the, uh, 18- to 24-year-olds, 12:29 was a full third were believing in this model. 12:33 And that's what has scared a lot of scientists 12:35 to where there were scientific people that were coming out 12:38 and making articles, saying, 12:39 "Well, it's obvious that You.Gov did bad research." 12:42 It's like, what are you talking about? It's your guys. 12:44 [Scoffs] Why are you attacking your own team? 12:46 It's like, "Well, they obviously did it wrong. 12:47 The numbers can't be 30 percent, 34 percent 12:50 for 18- to 24-year-olds; it cannot be." 12:52 It's like, yeah, it is. 12:53 I'm, I'm absolutely guaranteeing that 12:55 because not only am I talking to the 18- to 24-year-olds; 12:58 I'm talking to the 12- to 17-year-olds. 13:00 They're contacting me daily 13:02 and trying to get me to do things with them. 13:03 >>John: Mark, thank you, really appreciate your time. 13:05 >>Mark: Thank you. 13:06 >>John: Thank you very much. 13:07 So is the earth flat? 14:17 Eyewitness accounts. 14:18 You've seen the photos, 14:19 and people have been up there and seen the spherical earth. 14:24 Does it matter what you believe? 14:26 Well, you might debate that one way or the other 14:28 when it comes to the earth being flat, 14:30 but what about spiritually? 14:32 Does it really matter what you believe? 14:35 Look at this with me. 14:36 It's Revelation 19, starting in verse 11: 14:39 "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; 14:43 and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, 14:46 and in righteousness He doth judge and make war. 14:50 His eyes were as a flame of fire, 14:52 and on His head were many crowns; 14:54 and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself. 14:58 And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: 15:02 and His name is called The Word of God." 15:06 Goes on for two or three more verses. 15:08 It's the return of Jesus to the world. 15:11 Paul wrote about that same event in several places. 15:14 Here's how he described it to the church of Thessalonica: 15:18 "For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven 15:22 with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, 15:25 and with the trump of God: 15:27 and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 15:30 then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up 15:33 together with them in the clouds, 15:34 to meet the Lord in the air: 15:37 and so shall we ever be with the Lord." 15:41 Does it matter what you believe? 15:43 Well, absolutely, as far as that affects your readiness 15:46 for the return of Jesus. 15:48 What you believe impacts how you live. 15:50 Satan knows better than anyone that Jesus is coming back 15:53 to the earth, and he doesn't want you to be ready for that. 15:56 He's even prepared a huge deception, 16:00 a huge issue at the close of time that will cause 16:02 masses of people to lose their way spiritually. 16:07 Revelation 13:3 says, 16:09 "And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; 16:13 and his deadly wound was healed: 16:15 and all the world wondered after the beast." 16:18 Now verse 8: 16:20 "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, 16:23 whose names are not written in the book of life 16:25 of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." 16:29 Then later in the chapter: 16:30 "And he causeth all, both small and great, 16:33 rich and poor, free and bond, 16:36 to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 16:40 and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, 16:45 or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." 16:49 If you were to read that without any sort of view 16:52 of the big picture, 16:54 it might sound as farfetched to you as the idea 16:57 that the earth is flat, or that Bigfoot exists, 17:00 or that chemtrails are poisoning the planet, 17:03 or that aliens are being kept at Area 51, 17:06 or that the moon landing never happened and was faked. 17:09 But when you look at the Bible, there's no doubt. 17:12 It's all leading to the return of Jesus, 17:14 and when Jesus returns, 17:17 time is up for the inhabitants of Planet Earth. 17:19 Revelation 22:11 says, 17:21 "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: 17:24 and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: 17:28 and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: 17:31 and he that is holy, let him be holy still." 17:36 There will come a time that it will be too late; 17:39 salvation will no longer be on offer. 17:43 It's important to be ready for Jesus' return. 17:45 As Jesus Himself said in Matthew 24, 17:48 "Therefore you also be ready." 17:52 What does the ending of this great conspiracy mean 17:55 for people on Planet Earth? 17:57 Well, one day there'll be no more sin 17:59 and no more of everything bound up with sin. 18:02 Revelation 21:4 says, 18:04 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; 18:07 and there shall be no more death, 18:09 neither sorrow, nor crying, 18:12 neither shall there be any more pain: 18:14 for the former things are passed away." 18:17 No more death, no more funerals, 18:21 no more surgery, no more illness, 18:23 no more violence, no more crime. 18:26 No more. Not forever. 18:30 The Bible says we'll live in a place where the streets 18:32 are paved with gold. 18:34 Revelation 21:21 says, 18:37 "And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: 18:39 every several gate was of one pearl: 18:42 and the street of the city was pure gold, 18:44 as it were transparent glass." 18:47 The tree of life will be there. 18:49 "In the midst of the street of it, 18:51 and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, 18:54 which bare twelve manner of fruits, 18:57 and yielded her fruit every month: 19:00 and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." 19:05 A world without sin, which means a world, 19:09 a universe without the devil. 19:12 Ultimately, sin and Satan will be no more. 19:16 That's God's plan for the world. 19:18 And of course, it's God's plan for you. 19:21 God wants you to be saved. 19:23 John 3:16 tells us that 19:25 "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, 19:28 that whosoever believeth in Him 19:30 should not perish, but have everlasting life." 19:33 Peter wrote that God is "not willing that any should perish, 19:37 but that all should come to repentance." 19:40 That's 2 Peter 3, verse 9. 19:42 Not that everyone will come to repentance, 19:45 but that's God's will. 19:46 It's what God is striving for. It's what His Spirit works for. 19:50 It's why angels minister, to turn you towards heaven 19:54 in one of the last days of the earth's history. 19:57 But the devil works: temptation, distraction, self-interest, 20:01 pride, skepticism, and on and on and on. 20:06 So what is it that God is offering? 22:11 The devil's offering slavery. 22:14 You see it when people are free to have a good time, 22:17 and then they wake up hungover 22:19 or sick or in jail or deeply ashamed. 22:24 The devil has convinced people 22:25 it's a bright idea to live independently of God. 22:28 Or worse, that they can claim to believe, 22:32 while that belief doesn't really change their lives-- 22:36 people who call themselves Christian while their actions 22:39 definitely say otherwise. 22:41 They might have fooled themselves; 22:43 they haven't fooled God. 22:45 There's not a person alive who's smart enough or strong enough 22:49 to defeat the devil. 22:51 This conspiracy against the God of heaven, 22:53 against His government, against His Word, 22:56 in this conspiracy you've got on the one side 22:59 human beings who have been weakened by 6,000 years of sin, 23:03 who live in a world that is marinating in wickedness, 23:06 and on the other side, you have a fallen angel 23:09 who once dwelled in the presence of God, 23:11 and his followers who also are fallen angels. 23:15 What chance do we have? 23:17 Well, thank God, we have every chance. 23:20 While human beings are under the death sentence that sin brings, 23:23 the Bible says in 1 John 1, verse 9, 23:27 that "if we confess our sins, 23:30 He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, 23:33 and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 23:36 God will forgive you of your sins. 23:39 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them 23:41 which are in Christ Jesus, 23:43 who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." 23:47 Romans 8, verse 1. 23:48 Then Jesus Himself will fill you with His presence. 23:52 The Holy Spirit brings the personal presence of Jesus 23:55 into your life. 23:56 Paul wrote in Romans 6:18 that, "Being then made free from sin, 24:01 ye became the servants of righteousness." 24:04 God frees us from the power of sin, 24:07 enabling us to live His way and not our own way, 24:11 to live lives characterized by love and not selfishness. 24:15 Paul said that if anyone is in Christ, 24:17 that person is a new creature. 24:20 "Old things are passed away," he wrote, 24:23 "behold, all things are become new." 24:26 Second Corinthians 5:17. 24:28 With faith in Jesus, 24:29 you can live confidently as you look forward to eternity. 24:33 He died for you. 24:35 He's your Mediator in heaven, 24:37 and He'll keep you through His power. 24:39 And He's coming back to the earth 24:41 to end this whole terrible thing 24:43 that the devil has pressed upon the world. 24:45 There's a massive spiritual battle raging in our world 24:48 right now, but not a single person needs to end up 24:51 on the wrong side of this. 24:53 If you've sinned, God will forgive you. 24:56 If you're weak, God will strengthen you. 24:59 In fact, He says that His strength 25:01 "is made perfect in weakness." 25:03 If you're a failure, God will give you success. 25:07 If you're new to faith in God, 25:08 He pledges to grow you and nurture you and guide you. 25:13 And God says He'll never leave you, 25:16 and He'll never ever forsake you. 25:20 >>Announcer: Many nations are mentioned 25:22 in the prophecies of the Bible, 25:23 but what prophetic role does the United States play 25:26 in earth's final days? 26:12 Let's not make the mistake of looking into the future 26:14 and saying, "I don't know if I can be good enough then." 26:18 It's not a question of being good enough. 26:20 It's a question of accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior 26:23 and claiming His goodness as your own. 26:26 When you've done that, you grow in His grace, 26:28 and you just keep on growing in His direction 26:31 and grow towards His kingdom. 26:33 If you claim Jesus as your friend, as your Savior, 26:35 as your Lord, you're claiming everlasting life. 26:39 You're claiming readiness for Jesus' return. 26:43 Let's accept that readiness from Jesus now. 26:47 ♪[Soft music]♪ Our Father in heaven, 26:49 no, we're not good enough, no, we're not righteous enough, 26:52 not righteous at all, and so we claim Jesus, 26:56 not presumptuously, but in faith. 26:58 We claim Him, saying thank You for His righteousness. 27:02 And thank You for changing us from the inside out, 27:06 for making us what we could not make ourselves. 27:08 Friend, are you willing to accept Jesus? 27:09 I'm sure you are. He's willing to accept you. 27:13 When we say "amen" in just a moment, 27:15 I want you to say "amen" knowing that heaven is yours, 27:19 that your name is written in the book of life 27:20 and that when Jesus comes back, 27:23 gravity will lose its power over the soles of your feet, 27:25 and you will go up. 27:28 Our Father, we thank You for the reality of Your love, 27:31 of Your goodness, 27:32 and of Jesus' return and of eternity with You. 27:36 We thank You in Jesus' name. 27:39 Let's say together: Amen. 27:42 Thank you.
