00:27 Welcome to Issues and Answers.
00:29 Today we're going to be talking about Mega Book Ministry.
00:34 And our guest today is Java Madison.
00:36 He's the publishing director for South Central Conference.
00:39 He's a graduate of Oakwood University
00:41 and Andrews University
00:43 and he is here to give us practical tips
00:45 on how to get involved in the Mega Book Ministry.
00:49 Welcome to the program, Java.
00:51 Hey welcome. Thanks for having me.
00:52 God bless you.
00:53 So tell me now,
00:55 have you done Mega Book Ministry yourself?
00:57 Yes, I actually have.
01:00 God has blessed me for the past 15 years
01:03 to be involved in the Mega Book ministry.
01:07 Oh really, so tell me how did you get involved
01:10 as a literature evangelist
01:12 you know from the early days until now?
01:14 I'm glad you asked.
01:15 It's a real phenomenal story
01:17 that still brings tears to my eyes.
01:20 You know my first couple years at Oakwood University
01:24 were almost like my wonder years.
01:26 I started to go to school.
01:29 I chose a degree field that I really have a passion for.
01:34 I really didn't know who I wanted to be just yet
01:38 and of course like the prodigal son,
01:40 I squandered my first two years there.
01:42 I squandered my time, my mom's money,
01:44 and you know got involved into activities
01:48 that kind of just made me not want to really be in school.
01:52 But praise the Lord for a praying mother.
01:55 Amen.
01:56 Yes, my mom, she prayed for me
01:58 and I went back home for about a few months
02:02 and I continued to go down this prodigal lifestyle
02:07 that I was leading.
02:08 And God met me on that road
02:11 and during that process,
02:14 it was almost like He knocked me off of my feet.
02:16 On several occasions,
02:18 major events happened in my life
02:20 that just brought me to a point of submission.
02:23 You know when I was younger,
02:24 my grandmother used to watch wrestling and...
02:28 Your grandmother? Yeah, my grandmother.
02:31 I used to sit down there by the side of her bed
02:34 and we would watch people on wrestling.
02:37 Great figures, I am sure you would know
02:38 if I would call them.
02:39 And, you know, they would put each other in a hold
02:43 and once they got their hold on you
02:46 where there was a leg lock, you know,
02:49 or a choke hold you know.
02:50 They would hit the canvas
02:52 and then they would raise their hand up
02:53 and if their hand kept falling that meant you were out.
02:56 And that's what God did to me, you know.
02:57 I just gave up, I just said you know what,
02:59 I am not fighting God anymore.
03:01 I said God just come into my heart,
03:03 come into my life and never before...
03:07 I remember it after I gave my life to the Lord,
03:10 I had this awesome experience with Jesus
03:12 but yet I still had this void
03:14 because again I wasn't in school.
03:16 So I was going to work
03:18 but I didn't have that quite purpose in my life.
03:21 And I remember like it was yesterday.
03:24 One morning I could remember the blue and yellow flags
03:27 that were flying, still do,
03:30 at Oakwood University during registration
03:32 and alumni weekend.
03:34 And I began to bawl and weep
03:38 because of that opportunity that I had squandered
03:40 and I asked God, I said God please allow me
03:43 an opportunity to go back to school.
03:45 And I kid you not,
03:47 immediately as I was praying that prayer,
03:51 tears in my eyes,
03:52 my mother called me and I tried to wipe my eyes
03:57 because I didn't want my mom to know I was crying.
03:59 I didn't want her to ask me for what reason.
04:01 And she told me that I had a scholarship
04:03 to go back to Oakwood.
04:05 That was the first time
04:06 I had a real direct encounter with God
04:09 where I prayed and He answered.
04:13 And I called my job and said, you know what,
04:16 I got a scholarship to go to school.
04:18 If I don't come back in three days then
04:22 I ask that you accept this is my resignation.
04:25 And so, as I was preparing to go back to Oakwood,
04:28 I heard God speak to me again, and this is what he told me.
04:32 He said, "I have something special for you to do."
04:36 My eyes lit up.
04:37 I was excited because I was beginning
04:39 to be aligned with my purpose.
04:42 And that semester, I was just looking,
04:45 what was it that God would have me to do.
04:47 I was looking for that voice.
04:49 And I can remember it like it just happened today, 4 a.m.
04:53 in the morning that spring semester,
04:56 I was about to go back home to the people
04:58 I had just up and left in my life.
05:00 And I met a gentleman there at a vending machine
05:05 and this individual said Brother Madison...
05:09 It's 4 a.m. in the morning.
05:11 I had just packed my clothes up to go home.
05:13 Are we dreaming or is this real life
05:14 4 a.m. in the morning?
05:16 This is reality.
05:17 You know that the life of a college student
05:18 can really go into the wee hours
05:21 but I had just finished up all my assignments,
05:24 and I was packing my clothes, and I was about to retire,
05:27 but I wanted to get something to drink.
05:28 And I met this guy, he asked me, he said,
05:30 we have one more spot to go to New Orleans
05:34 to go on a literature evangelism program.
05:38 Right then I became angry. I was upset.
05:40 I was furious because that voice
05:42 that I had been becoming accustomed to I heard
05:45 as this gentleman was speaking to me.
05:48 It wasn't him I was hearing but it was God.
05:51 Wow. And I didn't want to go.
05:53 And I said you know what the first thing
05:55 I'm going to think about in the morning
05:56 is what I'm going to do.
05:58 Well long story short, the first thing that I heard
06:01 when I woke up in the morning
06:03 wasn't the voice of God saying go to New Orleans.
06:05 It was a friend saying when are we going to Atlanta,
06:08 which is where I'm from
06:09 and I told him, I said you know what,
06:11 I think God wants me to go to New Orleans.
06:14 Let me call you back and pray on it.
06:15 I decided that moment to go to Louisiana, New Orleans.
06:21 I didn't call anybody.
06:22 I cut my phone off.
06:24 I didn't tell anybody where I was going.
06:26 My mom was waiting on me all day.
06:28 But I was a no show.
06:29 And it wasn't until 9 p.m.
06:32 that night I showed up
06:33 at the church called New Life Seventh-day Adventist Church,
06:36 there in New Orleans and I called my mom and said,
06:39 Mom, I decided to go and tell other people about Jesus
06:43 on my spring break program.
06:44 And that was my first experience
06:46 as a literature evangelist
06:48 and from that experience again I heard God during that week
06:54 telling me that He was calling me into ministry.
06:57 And so it's been a beautiful experience since then.
07:00 So now, I have this great relationship with Jesus
07:03 and I've got purpose in my life.
07:06 And from that moment I started sharing
07:08 God's word through literature.
07:09 Wow, so you started, that's an amazing story to me.
07:13 So you went from New Orleans,
07:16 so what did you do next after that?
07:18 Did you continue with the literature ministry or...
07:23 How did you get to where you are now...
07:24 You're the publishing guy... Yes.
07:26 Okay, you're the publishing man for South Central Conference
07:28 from no I'm not going to go to New Orleans
07:31 to publishing guy.
07:32 How did that happen?
07:33 Well, you know, God is amazing and it makes me,
07:35 it humbles myself every time when I'm think about the text
07:38 when the Bible says the steps of righteous
07:40 man or woman are ordered by the Lord.
07:42 We don't know what that next thing is
07:45 that God has for us in our life.
07:47 But we'll never know
07:48 if we're not willing to take the steps
07:50 that He is telling us right now in our lives.
07:52 Wow. Say that again.
07:53 That's powerful, that's powerful.
07:55 You know the steps of righteous man or woman
07:56 are ordered by the Lord.
07:58 We don't know every thing that God has in store for us.
08:01 But we'll never know what it is that
08:02 God has in store for us
08:04 if we're not willing to take those small steps now.
08:07 By his grace I could go through so many accounts in my life
08:11 where if I hadn't taken that small step,
08:14 for example, I would never met my wife...
08:16 Wow. Praise the Lord.
08:18 I am glad that I took that small step.
08:20 You just never know God's plan
08:21 but you've got to take the small step
08:23 and that's what I did.
08:24 And since then I decided this one thing
08:27 that I was going to be committed to follow that voice
08:31 until he tells me to do something different
08:35 and 15 years later
08:36 He hasn't told me to do anything different
08:38 and that's why I'm still
08:40 in the publishing ministry today.
08:42 Wow, that is, what a wonderful story.
08:44 Yes.
08:45 So you are the person now
08:47 that's in charge of helping other students?
08:49 Yes, you know I live my life now
08:52 to see God manifested
08:55 in the lives of other young people
08:58 like I've come to see him manifested in my life.
09:02 I had no clue that these decision
09:05 to serve the Lord in mission work
09:09 was critical to the development of who I am today.
09:12 I serve the Lord by His grace faithfully
09:15 and so my passion today is to provide
09:19 and foster atmosphere
09:21 where other young people can come to know God
09:24 in their life through an atmosphere
09:27 of mission service oriented acts of love to other people.
09:32 That's where the purpose I have now
09:36 in my life was developed
09:37 and I know that's critical for other young people
09:40 to come to know God
09:44 by being in these type of missionary programs.
09:46 So that's why I love literature evangelism.
09:48 And I love the Mega Book Ministry
09:50 because it provides purpose for individuals
09:53 that are seeking God in their life.
09:55 So in other words, a person,
09:57 a young person doesn't have to be totally perfect?
10:02 You're saying that you see this ministry
10:05 as being able to help invest in that young person's life
10:10 as well as to draw them closer to God.
10:12 Yes.
10:14 See you cannot know
10:17 what it is God is calling you to become, right,
10:23 unless you're submitted totally to Him.
10:26 Paul said it to Timothy in this way,
10:29 you have to stir up the gift that's in you.
10:31 And one of the ways that the gift
10:33 that God places through the Holy Spirit
10:34 in the lives of everybody is stirred up
10:38 is when you are living your life
10:41 as Jesus did for somebody else.
10:44 And that's what happens
10:45 when you are involved in missionary service
10:49 and the best place to start is in our schools.
10:52 That's where it started for me.
10:53 Wow.
10:55 Well, I tell you, I'm a firm believer
10:57 in the Mega Book Ministry...
10:58 Yes, Ma'am.
10:59 And my daughter wanted to go to France to Cologne...
11:02 Okay.
11:03 And she was trying to figure out how to get there.
11:05 And she ended up going through the publishing ministry
11:08 where she was able to go out
11:09 and become a part of this Mega Book program.
11:12 So I want you to tell us about the Mega Book program
11:16 and what you're doing?
11:17 I see that cool T- shirts over there.
11:19 You've got gear.
11:21 You know just break it on down.
11:22 Just tell us all about what's involved
11:25 because there's lot of mystery,
11:26 you know, some people think, oh, it's just for some.
11:28 But you know...
11:29 Well, let me share this with you,
11:31 service to Jesus is for everybody.
11:34 And the good thing I like about it is
11:38 telling other people about Jesus
11:40 is not some special spiritual gift.
11:43 It's actually a call that everyone is to participate in.
11:46 For example think about it,
11:48 when Jesus met the woman at the well.
11:52 When he told her about her life
11:55 and she came to know him as that life spring,
11:59 that well that never runs dry
12:01 and in her spirit flowed fountains of living water.
12:05 She went immediately, dropped her water
12:07 and she told everybody about Jesus.
12:11 That's what everybody to be involved in.
12:15 And so what you need to understand
12:16 about the Mega Book Ministry,
12:18 it is literature evangelism,
12:20 particularly for young people, all right.
12:23 And I would like to read this quote to you,
12:26 it says, "The very best education
12:27 young men and women can obtain
12:30 is by entering the canvassing field,
12:33 all right, for doing house to house work."
12:37 And why it's so important for house to house work
12:39 is because it's personal ministry,
12:41 all right.
12:42 It's young people who are in our schools
12:45 learning about Jesus
12:46 taking that knowledge from the classroom
12:48 and applying it to everyday life circumstances.
12:52 And so how do you explain
12:54 that God became flesh to a person
12:58 who is hurt because their loved one died?
13:02 How does that translate?
13:03 You've got to come down to their level,
13:05 so it teaches them how to be courteous,
13:07 literature evangelism does.
13:09 It teaches them how to meet all classes of people.
13:12 It allows them to make their faith real.
13:16 See that's the difference.
13:17 See Samuel, the Bible says,
13:19 he was raised in the house of God,
13:23 but he had not yet heard the voice of God.
13:27 So there's a difference from being raised in church
13:31 and coming to know the Lord of the church.
13:35 When I was a literature evangelist,
13:37 it would stump me all the time
13:38 when people would ask me questions
13:40 that I was not prepared for.
13:43 What it did was it allowed me to go back
13:46 and study and ask God,
13:47 God, how could I have reached that person.
13:50 I feel like I lost him.
13:51 I feel like I didn't do well enough.
13:53 In that agonizing,
13:54 God was transferring His feelings
13:58 for lost souls to me and so the hurt of rejection,
14:03 the hurt like when the rich young ruler walked from Jesus
14:07 that Jesus felt the travail of his soul,
14:09 I was able to know what it was like
14:12 for the shepherd to lose a sheep
14:14 or for the woman to lose a coin
14:16 and so my love for souls expanded.
14:18 And this is what literature evangelism
14:20 does for our young people.
14:22 It allows them to come into contact
14:24 with the real heart of Jesus.
14:26 Wow, that is just awesome.
14:29 I like the way you said that it...
14:31 So it's experiential.
14:33 It's experiential.
14:34 So there's not like a class or something
14:36 that a person takes in school
14:38 to be a part of a literature evangelism.
14:39 I'm glad you asked.
14:40 One of the first qualifications
14:43 for becoming a literature evangelist
14:45 is having a desire and love for God.
14:48 If you have experienced the love of God,
14:51 then you can become a literature evangelist.
14:54 Because you have experienced God,
14:56 now you're qualified to go tell somebody else about God.
14:59 Now we do have instructional training.
15:03 We do teach you a canvas.
15:05 We do introduce you to the books
15:07 that you're going to show
15:08 because you can't tell somebody else
15:10 about what you haven't experienced yourself.
15:12 So we do go through some formal training,
15:14 but most importantly Jesus,
15:16 we're told is the master teacher.
15:19 It's like on-the-job training.
15:21 You get to meet Jesus in action
15:24 as He is already engaged in the lives of people
15:27 that you're going to knock on their door.
15:29 What you find out is that Jesus is already there
15:33 and more so importantly you're learning something
15:36 more than you're telling somebody else about Jesus.
15:40 So the young people are benefiting from like you said,
15:44 they take it from the classroom
15:45 what they're learning at school
15:47 and then they're actually able to apply it.
15:49 And they're getting public speaking skills,
15:52 courtesy, how to relate socially to,
15:55 like you said, all walks of life.
15:56 Exactly.
15:57 I can tell you right now that
15:59 young people watching the show
16:00 and seeing that gear over there,
16:02 they're going to want to know one question.
16:03 How do I get those clothes?
16:05 How do I get that shirt?
16:07 How do I get all that, you know?
16:09 That's kind of exciting, nice logo and everything.
16:10 Yes. Tell us about that?
16:12 What is that all about? I'm glad you asked.
16:14 Now, this is Youth Excel Scholarship Program
16:19 because this ministry has two purposes.
16:22 The first purpose we are told is to instruct the students
16:26 that they are laboring for the advancement
16:29 of the kingdom of Christ.
16:31 This is paramount.
16:32 This ministry is about mission,
16:35 it's about sharing the gospel of Jesus.
16:37 So first, we're advancing God's kingdom
16:39 and secondly we are raising donations
16:43 from the books that we share
16:44 to help us go to school.
16:46 And so one of the challenges in my life is that
16:49 I couldn't go to school
16:50 because I had wasted all my mother's money.
16:54 So she said done.
16:55 She was done, she was tapped out.
16:57 She didn't have any more money.
16:59 And so, that's why God introduced me to this ministry,
17:01 so that I could learn how to earn funds for myself
17:06 by sharing my passion for Jesus.
17:08 And when you have a passion for Jesus,
17:10 the funds come naturally
17:12 because God wants us to share this ministry
17:15 more than we want to share it.
17:17 And so then He equips you with a uniform.
17:19 Good, I'm going to come over. Come on over.
17:21 All right, I'm going to come over and check it out.
17:23 Let's see here now.
17:24 'Cause I'm also a teacher and I've got students
17:26 that would like to know about all of this good stuff.
17:28 Yes.
17:29 So tell me about this one first.
17:31 What is this?
17:32 Well, first of all this is your ID badge,
17:34 because we want to be professional.
17:37 And so, this allows people to identify you
17:40 with a bonafide, legitimate organization,
17:42 because there are so many scammers that are out there.
17:45 People are nervous when you come to their door
17:47 so we want to dispel and break down any barrier.
17:50 So you have an ID badge that has a number
17:52 that you can contact the main office.
17:54 It has a website address where people can go
17:57 and even donate after
17:59 you have shared books with them.
18:00 Okay now. How about this one?
18:02 I'm going to come down a little bit
18:03 because I don't want to take away
18:04 from this great looking shirt here.
18:06 Now this is a shirt that allows you to breathe.
18:10 It says Youth Excel Scholarship Program.
18:14 So we want you to excel in their spiritual life,
18:17 we want them to excel in their educational work.
18:19 We want them just to excel as people, loving people.
18:24 You know, there's an idea that's out there now,
18:27 character versus content, all right?
18:30 So basically businesses are more concerned
18:34 that you have character development,
18:36 all right, than the content of knowledge
18:40 that you have acquired in school.
18:41 There are so many professionals today
18:43 who have the content,
18:45 but they don't have the character and so this...
18:48 This is another shirt?
18:50 Yes, now this is our shirt that we like to go have fun,
18:52 all right.
18:54 So let me just say this.
18:55 We invite students on their off seasons
18:59 when they're not in school
19:01 because Spirit of Prophecy tells us
19:03 that when the school is out,
19:05 the student should go into more practical fields of labor
19:08 doing house-to-house work as a literature evangelist.
19:10 So on their spring breaks, on their summer breaks,
19:13 which is a 10 week program.
19:15 So for 10 weeks
19:16 we'll house you, we'll feed you.
19:18 Really? Yes.
19:20 House you, feed you? House, feed.
19:22 So let me see now. So the parents...
19:23 This is interesting. Yes.
19:25 Let me come over here and get little closer.
19:27 Okay, so you house the kids?
19:29 Yes.
19:30 You feed them? Yes.
19:31 You transport them to where they need to go?
19:33 Yes. Really?
19:34 All we ask is that they show up.
19:36 Okay, tell me about this bag here,
19:38 I'm going to pull this out a little bit
19:40 before we get into these cool little books here.
19:42 The Mega Book program is what we're talking about.
19:45 I'm really excited about this.
19:46 Okay, tell me about this bag?
19:48 So this is our bag.
19:50 This is the bag that holds and house the literature,
19:53 all right?
19:54 It has our logo on it.
19:56 It allows our students to look professional.
19:59 Here is...
20:00 What's this here? Is this a walkie talkie?
20:01 Yes.
20:03 They get a walkie talkie too?
20:04 They get a walkie talkie too.
20:06 It takes a lot of funds to actually make this work.
20:08 These are high frequency, business radios, all right?
20:12 And so, we can get about a five mile radius.
20:15 So this is for safety because we want to make sure
20:17 that our young people are safe,
20:19 that we get them back home to their parents.
20:20 And so God has really been blessing.
20:22 So they have a bag.
20:23 They have an ID badge.
20:24 They also have a radio and they have a shirt.
20:27 Now do they go by themselves
20:29 or are they in groups or partners
20:30 or how does it work.
20:32 You know, you're talking about cities.
20:33 That's kind of a big deal, safety issues.
20:35 Safety is important, and so this is how it works.
20:37 The concept is community.
20:39 We go and minister in community
20:42 so a band of seven students
20:44 will go to a targeted area in the city.
20:47 A lot of times we'll link up with local area pastors.
20:50 Because not only are we sharing literature,
20:52 we're also gaining Bible studies.
20:54 We're also offering prayers.
20:56 We're also passing out advertisement
20:58 for any evangelistic or community
21:00 outreaches of those churches.
21:01 All right, so these are some of the things that we do.
21:05 So we go out in community in a band of seven.
21:07 The leader goes and monitors each student's activity,
21:12 so we may place them say in a parking lot,
21:15 some type of business.
21:17 We may place them in a small enclosed subdivision
21:20 one way in and one way out and we keep track.
21:23 Most of the time I'll position people
21:25 on either side of the street
21:27 so they can always keep each other in contact view.
21:30 And in worst case scenario,
21:32 they're not in each other's view,
21:33 the leader who is driving up and down the roads
21:35 has the radio and we stay in contact that way.
21:38 Ooh, that's pretty good. Yes.
21:39 So now these books, tell me a little about...
21:43 These are the Mega Books right here?
21:44 Yes. Okay.
21:45 So one of my favorite. I see you have one.
21:48 That's one of my favorite... Bible Answers.
21:49 Bible Answers.
21:51 Now, this is very important, Bible Answers,
21:53 it answers questions people most commonly
21:55 ask about the Bible.
21:56 So for example my generation,
21:59 there's a rapper named Tupac
22:01 that a lot of people may have heard of who has passed.
22:04 He had a question, he had...
22:05 Can you hold this one?
22:07 Yes, his question was is there a heaven for a thug?
22:09 Very fundamental Bible question.
22:13 He is basically asking God understanding my lifestyle,
22:17 knowing that you know everything,
22:19 Only You Can Judge Me is one of his favorite songs,
22:22 only God can judge me now.
22:23 He wanted to know God,
22:25 is it possible for somebody like me to be saved.
22:27 What a fundamental question?
22:29 And so, this book right here has questions
22:32 most commonly asked about the Bible.
22:33 One fundamental question that's asked is about
22:36 who is the Creator.
22:37 And so it gives you question in dark print
22:39 and answers come from the Bible.
22:41 So we're going to go through these pretty quickly here now.
22:43 So Man of Peace.
22:44 Now, Man of Peace is one of my favorites.
22:46 This goes over the life of Jesus
22:48 from the Matthew, Mark, Luke and John gospels
22:51 and it creates a complete story.
22:52 Watch this, out of 10,000 volumes
22:54 in the Library of Congress on the life of Jesus,
22:57 this is the one most read outside of the Bible.
22:59 Wow. And this is Desire of Ages.
23:00 Desire of Ages. Look at this.
23:03 This is beautiful.
23:04 Okay, now, I've got to tell you this one.
23:06 Yes.
23:07 The Great Controversy.
23:08 I gave this to someone in Memphis,
23:12 who, like you said,
23:14 was not a person went to church.
23:15 Tell us about this book? He loved it.
23:17 He liked the cover, you know, America and all that stuff.
23:19 This is our best seller
23:22 and it's selling by leaps and bounds
23:24 because it's easy to sell it
23:25 because everybody realizes the tension for freedom.
23:30 So many places live without freedom.
23:32 So many countries don't have freedom
23:35 that we in America cherish
23:37 and this book traces the path of freedom
23:40 throughout the annals of history
23:42 but shows us ultimately
23:44 the love of God triumphs in the end.
23:45 And so I love this book.
23:47 This is a great read.
23:48 This book has helped thousands
23:50 to understand the Book of Revelation.
23:51 Wow. So this is all part of.
23:52 And then of course the last one we have.
23:55 What is this, living...?
23:56 Yes, yes, one of my favorite.
23:59 So in other words, is that's
24:00 what's in the pack that they get?
24:01 That's what's in the bag.
24:03 We're looking at what's actually in the bag.
24:04 Yes, this is what's in the bag.
24:05 This one is a part of this?
24:07 Lessons for Living.
24:08 Now Lessons for Living is going to be
24:09 on the parables of Jesus.
24:11 So Jesus, His teachings are lessons
24:14 that actually help your life
24:16 live out a better existence than what you now have.
24:19 Lessons on love, lessons on peace,
24:22 lessons on persistence,
24:23 lessons on the love of God.
24:25 So many people view God as a harsh God,
24:27 but He is such a God of love.
24:29 How about that book over there?
24:31 Yes, now this is a new one. I like it.
24:33 I mean, there are couple of these here.
24:34 Okay, tell me about that one?
24:36 This is a book on Happy Couples.
24:37 It actually gives... It's new?
24:39 It's new, yeah, it's new.
24:40 It lets people who are interested in courtship,
24:44 relationships at every level, whether it's dating
24:47 or whether it's in marriage, the cycles of relationship,
24:50 how to build effective communication skills.
24:52 So this is a really hot one here.
24:54 Wow, okay, so we've got Peace in the Storm...
24:58 Peace in the Storm. Prince of Peace.
24:59 Okay, so, now I've got to ask you another question
25:01 that a lot of people want to know...
25:03 And I know I ask these questions too.
25:05 What about the canvas? Yes.
25:08 You know, does a person have to be
25:09 an excellent public speaker
25:11 to be able to be a part of the Mega Book program?
25:14 You know, can people...
25:15 Is there like this mad long thing
25:17 that they've got to memorize?
25:19 Tell us about that? I'm glad.
25:20 First of all I want to let you know this.
25:23 Ellen White says
25:25 that it is not the capabilities you now possess
25:29 or ever will possess that will make you successful.
25:33 It is that which God can do for every believing soul.
25:39 Your key to success in this ministry is your faith.
25:43 That's why I love it
25:45 because it's an exercise in the faith
25:46 and so, yes, you do have to learn to canvas
25:49 but if you believe, there is no limit,
25:52 she says, that you can't achieve.
25:57 The sky is immeasurable which lets us know
26:02 and believe that anybody can do this ministry if you believe.
26:06 There's no limitations on God.
26:07 And so we will teach you to canvas.
26:09 I'm going to drill you,
26:11 I'm going to make you know the canvas.
26:15 I'm going to be rougher on you than somebody else would be.
26:18 Is this a little bit of a boot camp
26:20 in a nice Christian way
26:22 with food and everything and exercise?
26:25 Yes, you get all of that.
26:26 But then you spread the love of Jesus.
26:27 Yes, yes.
26:29 Discipline is one word that a lot of young people lack.
26:33 So they get that also?
26:34 This ministry will show you how to be disciplined.
26:37 For example, you count money every day.
26:40 Yes, we count money.
26:42 Very quickly, it seems we've got
26:43 like a couple minutes left in the show.
26:45 Money, very quickly,
26:46 how much money can a person make doing
26:48 the Mega Book program?
26:49 I'm glad you asked.
26:50 My first time doing it in 10 weeks,
26:52 I raised $8,500...
26:54 Seriously?
26:56 And that was a long time ago.
26:57 Now just recently I had a young man in 10 weeks,
27:00 all right, that's two months,
27:01 I get paid once a month.
27:03 So in two checks, he made $16,000.
27:07 The anointing of God was definitely upon him.
27:09 So there's no limit to what God can do.
27:12 And so I ask and invite all young people to give it a shot.
27:15 Trust me, God is going to treat you better than Starbucks,
27:19 He's going to treat you better than McDonalds,
27:20 any job you can find in any profession,
27:22 I guarantee you, God can beat it.
27:24 You can't beat His giving.
27:25 Well, I tell you, I'm going to talk to the folks at home.
27:28 We'll say okay. Here we are.
