00:27 Welcome to "Issues & Answers."
00:29 How many of you like super heroes?
00:31 You know, you like those guys that fly through the sky,
00:35 that have super powers, that have--
00:37 Do all kinds of cool things.
00:39 Well, we are going to meet a super hero today.
00:42 We're going to meet none other than
00:44 "Bible Patrolman."
00:47 Hoo... We sure will.
00:49 Matter of fact, it's gonna be the pastor Mark Hyde,
00:52 who is a graduate
00:54 of the Mission College of Evangelism.
00:56 And his dynamic Girl Friday, Angela Hyde,
01:01 who is a nutritionist with the University of Tennessee.
01:04 But that's the last time
01:05 we're gonna mention them by those name
01:07 because they're Bible Patrolman team.
01:10 Welcome to the program, Bible Patrolman.
01:13 Thank you for having us.
01:14 It is a delight a have a super hero in our studio.
01:20 I see you didn't wear your cape today.
01:22 Yes, I didn't.
01:23 But you got the robe of Christ's righteousness.
01:25 Isn't that right? Yes, I do.
01:27 So tell me, how did this all come to be?
01:29 Well, the Bible Patrolman, it is very interesting.
01:33 You know, I moved from Colorado.
01:36 I got a call to come to Memphis, Tennessee.
01:40 And upon leaving Colorado,
01:43 one of the members there at church
01:45 that I was pastoring at, was so gracious enough
01:47 to give me a Crown Victoria car.
01:50 Yeah and so we-- Gave you a Crown Victoria car?
01:52 That is correct. Yes. A Crown--
01:54 Okay, that's probably a special model now, right,
01:57 it's a collector's item.
01:58 Yes. Yeah, a Crown Victoria car.
02:00 And so coming to Memphis
02:02 and working at the church there in Memphis,
02:05 my job was to go out into the community
02:08 because they have a long list of potential members.
02:13 And so I-- my job was to visit these individuals
02:16 and see how I could get them to be
02:19 actually a member of the church.
02:20 And so I would drive my Crown Victoria to their--
02:23 To their homes and I would go and knock on the door,
02:26 and I wouldn't get no response.
02:29 But as I was there, knocking on the door,
02:31 I could see someone looking out through the window,
02:34 you know, like through the blind.
02:36 And I would hear in the background,
02:37 they would yell out, "It's the police,"
02:40 you know, and so they-- no one...
02:42 And what would they do? They dashed away?
02:44 They dashed away because-- Close the blind.
02:45 Yes, and so
02:47 because it was a Crown Victoria, you know--
02:49 All right. May be you had a police car.
02:53 Yes. It was a Crown Victoria.
02:54 Someone gave you that one.
02:56 Yes, yes. That's kind of interesting.
02:57 But it was-- Yeah.
02:59 It wasn't, you know, in Colorado,
03:02 it wasn't a police car.
03:04 It was just a car. It's just a car in Colorado.
03:06 But when you came to Memphis...
03:08 Yes.
03:09 They had just adopted those wonderful vehicles
03:12 as part of their police force.
03:15 Memphis' finest. Yes. Yes, yes.
03:17 And so, and so we were there going in--
03:20 And so I went home that afternoon
03:23 and I was like literally crying to my wife,
03:26 and saying nobody is coming...
03:29 Yes. Nobody coming to the door.
03:30 Because I was very passionate about,
03:32 you know, doing my work.
03:33 And no one was turning up,
03:35 you know, day after day, no one.
03:36 And so I said, we have to- Wait, wait, wait.
03:38 Everyday you're going--
03:41 And they are ducking and hiding.
03:42 That is correct. That is correct.
03:44 And so, and so I said to my wife,
03:47 we have to do something.
03:48 And so, you know, we were there,
03:50 we sat at the dinner table at that time,
03:52 when we just moved to Memphis,
03:53 I was staying with my mother-in-law.
03:56 And so we all gather around the table
03:58 and we say this, we have to come up
03:59 with a name to put on this car,
04:01 so that we, you know, they can know
04:03 that it's not the police.
04:04 And we deliberated for a good two hours
04:07 trying to come up with a name.
04:09 And for some reason, I had to go out to the car
04:11 to pick up something out of the car.
04:12 And I kid you not, as soon as I put my hand
04:15 on the latch to open the door, the name hit me,
04:18 "Bible Patrolman."
04:20 "Bible Patrolman."
04:22 And that's it. And it's been history.
04:25 It's been history. That is an incredible story.
04:27 Yes. Wow!
04:30 So you became Bible Patrolman because of the car.
04:33 Because of the car. The car.
04:34 Yes.
04:35 But you're already gonna be out there.
04:37 Giving the word of God. That is correct.
04:38 You had a find a way to meet the people.
04:40 Oh, my, talk about Paul.
04:42 Doesn't Paul say something about
04:44 being something to all people so he could reach them?
04:46 Yes, because I was not gonna get rid of my Bible--
04:49 The Crown Victoria, you know.
04:51 So-- That was a free car.
04:52 That is correct. Praise God.
04:53 That is correct. Wow!
04:55 So what happened after--
04:57 so then how did you dress up the car?
04:59 Did you, kind of, you know, soup it up and everything?
05:01 Or does it has special features in it?
05:03 We didn't actually soup it up.
05:05 But what we did, we went to one of the local stores there
05:08 and we got one of those big magnetic stickers.
05:12 And they made up the name, "Got a question?
05:15 Who're you gonna call? Bible Patrolman."
05:18 And so-- So cool.
05:19 Yes, and so we put it on the side of the car
05:23 and we were driving around in town with my number,
05:25 everything on that.
05:27 And I tell you, it took off from there.
05:28 So what did people do?
05:30 Okay, now before, before Bible Patrolman,
05:32 before the Bible Patrol car, ride,
05:36 people were running and hiding from you.
05:38 That is correct.
05:39 But when you got the logo and once you got everything
05:42 set up for Bible Patrolman, what happened?
05:45 Some nights, I have to turn off my phone
05:46 because it just kept on blowing up.
05:48 So did people, I mean, when you came
05:50 into the neighborhood with Bible Patrolman,
05:52 what did the kids do?
05:54 What did the community do?
05:55 People was, it was, so--
05:57 I don't know, if they're shocked
05:59 because they couldn't believe it,
06:00 because they're used to seeing that as police car.
06:03 And now they see, Bible Patrol--
06:05 Is this for real?
06:07 You know, that was the question.
06:08 "Is this for real?"
06:10 "Bible Man. Is that serious?"
06:12 They came up and talked to you, did they?
06:13 Yes. Yeah.
06:14 Did you ride the car too, this one?
06:16 Of course, I rode in the car.
06:17 Girl Friday rode the Bible Patrolman.
06:18 That's so cool, team effort.
06:20 Yes, yes, yes.
06:22 So what kind of work does the Bible Patrolman do?
06:25 Well, what the Bible Patrolman does,
06:27 the Bible Patrolman goes out into the community
06:30 and better yet, some people are familiar
06:32 of what we call, Bible Workers, you know.
06:34 And so basically it's on the, kind of,
06:36 the same line, as a Bible Worker.
06:38 And what does a Bible Worker do?
06:40 Well, a Bible Worker, what we do,
06:41 we go into their home, sit down
06:43 and explain the word of God, to individuals.
06:46 You know, one of thing that we found out
06:47 that there are a lot of people who are becoming anti-church,
06:51 you know, and so they--
06:53 feel more comfortable in their own home.
06:55 And so the Bible Patrolman
06:57 offer that service free of charge to them.
06:59 And so we will go into their home,
07:01 and sit down with them,
07:02 and my wife as it would go with me.
07:04 And we go there, she would deal--
07:05 sometime we have little ones,
07:08 you know, sometimes they're very distracting.
07:09 And oh, she is gifted with the kids.
07:11 She is gifted.
07:12 And so she would keep the attention with the kids
07:15 and then I would deal with the adults
07:17 and explain the word of God to them.
07:19 So how did you get in the homes?
07:20 How did you get the--
07:22 How did you know which homes
07:23 that would be willing to have you come in?
07:25 Well, sometimes, what I would do?
07:27 I would just say.
07:28 Today, I'm gonna blanket a neighborhood.
07:30 And I would just start knocking a neighborhood.
07:32 But when the car came out,
07:35 as I said, calls were coming in, I couldn't--
07:37 You have a phone number on your car?
07:39 That is correct, the phone number--
07:40 Do you have special horn?
07:42 No. Is there certain colors?
07:44 The car is just white... What color is your car?
07:45 The car was white. Is it white and black?
07:47 White and with blue writings.
07:50 Yeah. Yes.
07:51 So, you know, it was just as I said,
07:53 it was just a typical police car.
07:55 But what color is the car itself, not just the--
07:57 The car is white.
07:59 The car is all white. All white car, yes.
08:01 Okay, at Memphis, police cars are all white?
08:03 That is correct, with the blue trim.
08:05 With a blue trim? Yes.
08:07 Okay, so your car is all white with the blue trim.
08:11 With a blue-- With a blue logo.
08:12 Blue logo. Yes.
08:15 It's so cool. I just love it.
08:18 Yes.
08:20 So when you say you're gonna blanket a community.
08:21 What do you do?
08:23 Well, when I go into the community,
08:24 I say today, I'm gonna focus on this community.
08:26 And so I'm going there and I start knocking on doors,
08:28 you know, knocking on doors and...
08:30 Do you have a uniform?
08:31 Well, this is, this is,-- This is it.
08:32 This is it. Okay.
08:34 This is what we wear here.
08:35 And we go out into the neighborhood
08:37 because we want to be different
08:38 and, you know, make people know who we are.
08:40 Or sometimes, if I don't have the uniform,
08:42 I have a badge, you know, that I put on
08:45 and people would identify and know exactly,
08:46 because one of the thing with people,
08:48 you knock on door, people want to know
08:50 exactly who you are.
08:51 Of course. And so.
08:52 And so they would identify because they look on the badge
08:54 and they see, okay, you know, some neighborhood I go in,
08:58 if one day I may not have the uniform
09:00 and you go into some neighborhood,
09:02 they would identify you as probably somebody
09:04 doing insurance or something.
09:05 So you have to have on the badge
09:07 to distinguish yourself from those people.
09:10 Okay, now certain areas of certain urban cities have--
09:15 You know, not everybody goes over to the certain areas.
09:19 You know what I'm saying.
09:21 How was that dealing with individuals
09:23 that are in charge unofficially of certain areas?
09:27 Well, well, what, what I have run into
09:29 because I've been into certain areas,
09:31 and as soon as I get in to the areas,
09:33 you know, somebody would look out that door
09:35 and they would call "The police."
09:38 Yes, yes. They would call "The police."
09:40 And next thing I know, I see some lights flashing
09:42 behind me and they would say to,
09:44 "What are you doing in the neighborhood?"
09:46 And I tell them exactly what I'm doing in the neighborhood.
09:48 Some would say "it's okay."
09:50 But some would gently ask me to leave the neighborhood.
09:53 But there have-- Go ahead, go ahead.
09:55 There have been areas that he has gone in
09:59 and he's been accused of the being "the snitch."
10:02 Oh, okay, by the local unofficial establishments,
10:07 sure, sure say that.
10:08 Yeah. Okay.
10:09 So they said that he was a snitch?
10:11 Right, they thought that he was--
10:13 Yeah, let's explain it for our viewers
10:15 exactly, what is a snitch?
10:17 Well, this would be an individual
10:18 who would report to the authorities,
10:22 things that were not necessarily lawful, so--
10:27 Illegal activities. Right.
10:29 With a monitory value attached to that.
10:31 You guys, if you can read between the lines there.
10:34 Yes, okay.
10:35 So in one particular area,
10:38 you know, and I would really pray for him
10:40 because I knew that he was not going to stop,
10:44 going out into the communities, and witnessing to people,
10:47 and providing just the Bible studies,
10:51 the base lessons and just opening the doors
10:54 for individuals to receive knowledge about God.
10:57 And so, but there were times, like I said,
11:02 that he was accused of being a telltale person,
11:07 a tattle-tale rather, person.
11:10 Or a snitch. Right.
11:12 But those individuals started to come around as well
11:16 as far as being receptive to him.
11:18 How did that come to be?
11:20 Did you hold conversations with said individuals?
11:24 Yeah, well, one of the thing--
11:25 And that's, you know, the thing that make's me sometimes,
11:28 I say a little bit different, as you used the term again,
11:30 you know, going into a neighborhood,
11:32 I just don't go into a neighborhood
11:34 just trying to share the gospel
11:36 and run out of the neighborhood.
11:37 If I'm in a neighborhood and I saw a group of young men
11:40 or people sitting underneath a tree
11:43 and just sitting there, I go there, I pull up a chair,
11:46 you know, and I sit with them.
11:48 Yes, I just sit with them, and we talk,
11:50 and then so they get comfortable and so...
11:52 And you had the Bible Patrolman gear
11:54 and going right up to those young guys.
11:57 And we sit there and it's just, just awesome.
12:00 And so they got comfortable
12:01 when they see the Bible Patrol, "What's up, Bible Patrol?"
12:04 You know, and so they got comfortable,
12:07 and so they understood
12:08 that I was not in the neighborhood
12:10 to report anything that they were doing.
12:12 And so they got comfortable
12:13 because I was there with them, you know, on a regular basis.
12:17 Yeah.
12:18 They figured out that he was not a threat to them.
12:21 Okay, so Girl Friday, I got to ask you.
12:23 When Bible Patrolman. I love it. I love it.
12:27 When Bible Patrolman decided
12:28 that he was going to take it on,
12:32 where did you decide that
12:34 your role would be in all of this?
12:36 Well, because ministry
12:39 has always been with us, since we--
12:42 Before we came together in marriage,
12:44 he was doing ministry and I was also doing ministry,
12:48 preaching or teaching something.
12:51 When we came together,
12:52 Lord blessed us just to continue.
12:56 And the Bible Patrol was just like
12:59 another extension of, of the ministry
13:01 that had already been going on.
13:03 Things that he'd already been doing,
13:05 it was just on another level.
13:08 There were times, I must admit,
13:10 that when he would go out into the communities
13:12 and it started getting a little late,
13:16 I just would be a little bit concerned.
13:19 But I prayed and just asked God to keep him
13:22 and He has continued to keep him,
13:25 throughout those days, throughout these days.
13:27 Now, how-- how many years
13:28 have you been Bible Patrolman?
13:31 Oh, wow, Bible Patrolman now is celebrating this year,
13:34 12-year anniversary.
13:36 12 years!
13:37 12 years.
13:38 Wow.
13:40 And it expands, not just to Bible study,
13:43 but we've, you know, going into the homes,
13:46 we've managed to meet individuals by the fire side.
13:50 And when we do that we find out about their needs.
13:52 Sometimes there's a need for food.
13:54 Sometimes there's a need for clothing.
13:56 Sometimes there's a need for professional counseling.
13:59 So we're not just going in now presenting the gospel,
14:05 we're providing for the needs of those families,
14:08 as best we can.
14:09 And to just see the joy on the faces sometimes
14:14 when you come back with a basket of groceries,
14:17 or when you come back with maybe a coat or a sweater
14:21 'cause while you were giving the study,
14:23 you looked and you saw somebody shoes
14:25 not looking like they needed to look,
14:27 or a child not having a coat or something like that.
14:30 And then when you come back and you bring it,
14:33 they realize, these people are serious
14:35 about me and my needs.
14:38 They're not just out to get a Bible study or, you know,
14:41 just the people coming through the neighborhoods,
14:43 knocking on the doors, and then they're gone.
14:45 They realize that we were serious
14:47 about having a relationship with them that was genuine.
14:52 And so it's been very rewarding, very rewarding.
14:55 Wow, so 12 years, that's a long time.
14:59 How have you guys kept this going?
15:00 I mean, you're talking about buying groceries and shoes,
15:04 how have you kept this funded?
15:05 Well, you know, to be honest with you,
15:07 people see what we're doing and they wanted to--
15:11 Sometimes people want to be with something that is good,
15:13 if I can use that.
15:15 And so sometimes, we would go
15:17 and because people found out where we were living.
15:19 And sometimes we would go home
15:20 and I would literally see on my doorsteps,
15:23 bags of clothes that people just dump--
15:27 When I say dump, but just put on my doorstep,
15:29 just because they know that we are helping the people.
15:31 And so people would call and would give--
15:33 And one other thing that went off to in the city,
15:36 it so happened that one day--
15:37 You're asking how do we support.
15:39 You know, one of the local newspaper, a car,
15:44 they were driving past the Bible Patrol
15:46 and they saw the Bible Patrol car,
15:48 and they called the number.
15:51 And they say, "Is this the Bible Patrol?"
15:52 And I say, "Yes."
15:54 She says, the young lady says, "I'm from this local newspaper,
15:57 could I meet with you?"
15:58 And she asked and I said, "Yes."
15:59 And she met me at one of the local restaurant.
16:01 And it took off from there because she wrote a article
16:04 and put in the local newspaper.
16:06 And as a result of that, people started calling.
16:09 And people start giving. "Oh, can we donate to this?
16:11 Can we donate to this?" And so people--
16:13 And we just go out in the community,
16:14 right now, we have needs that--
16:16 there people are calling and asking, "Oh, my son,"
16:19 one lady called last week,
16:21 "Oh, my son is sleeping on the floor, 10-year old,
16:24 do you have anything that can help me,
16:25 I need a bed, I need a-- " and so we try to fill in those
16:28 and as a result of that going in there,
16:30 now we are able to reach that family
16:32 and share the love of God with them.
16:34 And so that's what people come, you know, we come up...
16:36 You know, we come up some times,
16:38 people just come to us and says here's an envelope,
16:41 you know, that how the Lord blesses us.
16:43 Wow.
16:45 And sometimes, he goes into my cupboard
16:49 and starts to help people.
16:50 I remember, I was on my way home,
16:53 I'm thinking, I already planned in my mind,
16:55 okay, we're gonna have spaghetti for dinner tonight,
16:57 I'm gonna do this, I already have this in the cabinet.
17:00 And I get home and he's at the door,
17:04 giving away things, out of my cabinet.
17:08 And I said, okay, but they were on their--
17:12 I said, "Mark, why did you give them that,
17:15 why did you give them the pasta sauce?"
17:18 He said, "Well, they needed it, they needed it."
17:21 I said, "Well, I thought we needed it
17:23 for dinner tonight, but I guess I was wrong."
17:25 So sometimes it happens like that,
17:28 I'll go home and things are missing
17:30 because he is so generous
17:33 but the Lord always, always, always blesses.
17:37 He always provides for our needs,
17:40 as He said, "According to His riches and glory,"
17:42 and He's never been slack
17:44 concerning those promises towards us.
17:46 He's so faithful and we're so grateful.
17:48 Yes.
17:49 Wow, so, I mean, this is Bible Patrolman
17:52 and Girl Friday, okay, you guys have full time jobs as well.
17:57 So how do you manage the lovely work,
18:02 incredible work?
18:03 You know, for me, with my job
18:07 that I have Bible patrol is just a asset to it,
18:11 you know, to my job, you know, you know, and so, you know,
18:14 I thank God at the office,
18:16 you know, everybody calls me Bible Patrolman,
18:18 you know, nobody really knows me,
18:20 you know, by my name because, you know,
18:22 my ministry is an asset to what I do.
18:25 Yes. Yes.
18:28 And how do you manage things
18:29 with your busy schedule, Girl Friday?
18:31 Busy schedule is really the story
18:35 that I've been able to-- I've been really blessed
18:37 because I do nutrition and teach nutrition,
18:42 that has opened the door for us to be able to go out
18:45 into the community as well,
18:47 and talk to people about getting healthy
18:50 and staying healthy, introducing vegetarian diets
18:54 or introducing just a better diet.
18:57 Some people aren't even eating properly,
18:59 when we go into their homes.
19:02 And I talk to them about, I talk to them about modifying
19:06 some of the habits that they have,
19:08 to better their health.
19:10 So it, kind of, works in with my current job.
19:14 And on the side, whenever there is a little side,
19:19 I still enjoying doing cooking classes
19:22 and programs for children, I enjoy writing programs,
19:27 VBS programs, I've written one for...
19:29 Really?
19:30 About health for kids,
19:31 we are just having a really good time with it,
19:33 the whole ministry thing,
19:34 we just having a really good time.
19:36 It's awesome, it sounds like God gave you guys vocations
19:39 that go in nicely with this really cool super hero.
19:43 Yeah, you know, and so, you know,
19:44 and I say it's the ministry as the Lord has blessed,
19:47 we have took it all the way to the Pacific,
19:50 you know, all the way to...
19:52 Tell us-- tell me about Bible Patrolman
19:54 has flown through the airways.
19:56 All the way to the Pacific,
19:58 you know, we've been as far as Tanga,
20:00 as far as Fiji, you know, God has been blessed.
20:03 And what did you do there, Bible Patrolman?
20:05 What did you do over there?
20:07 We went to Tanga, we there shared
20:10 with people in the community,
20:12 we did evangelistic series there,
20:14 we also did the same thing on the island of the Fiji.
20:17 How long was the series?
20:19 Well, the series that we did, a two-week series,
20:22 and then we are there-- we share with them,
20:23 we had some baptism, my wife
20:25 and some of the other people, they ran a clinic, you know,
20:28 we were with high clinic and different things.
20:30 We teamed up, we were able to teamed up
20:33 with the ministry out of California,
20:35 the Quiet Hour, you know, yeah, we were able to team up
20:39 with them and so it was a blessing.
20:40 So Bible Patrolman, the Lord has blessed, the Lord...
20:44 So I just have to ask you,
20:46 Bible Patrolman went to a foreign country,
20:49 then to United States,
20:50 he went over to Tanga, is that right?
20:52 And you were Bible Patrolman over there?
20:55 You did the same thing? The same thing.
20:56 How was it received over there?
20:58 It was-- well, one of the thing
20:59 that we found out that people
21:01 even in those other third world countries,
21:03 if you want to use that word,
21:05 sometimes are more-- even more receptive,
21:07 than here because some of them
21:09 are actually doing the work.
21:10 When we go into those countries,
21:12 we found out that the laity, those people who are so--
21:14 we consider sitting in the pews,
21:16 they are the one going out and doing the work.
21:18 So with me going there it was just an asset,
21:22 you know to them, to helping them going out
21:24 because they're already doing those kind of works over there,
21:27 in those countries.
21:29 Wow, that's awesome. Yes.
21:31 That's awesome.
21:32 So what's been the result of--
21:35 Have you made more than one trip?
21:37 Have you taken this Bible Patrolman,
21:39 hit the airways more than once?
21:41 Or was it one trip?
21:43 Three times we went to Mexico.
21:44 Three times. We went to Mexico.
21:46 Donned in his cape, flew across the ocean.
21:50 I love it.
21:52 We went to Mexico and we went to...
21:53 Mexico. Yes, we went to Tanga.
21:55 And we went to the island of Fiji
21:57 and yes, we also did some work there,
22:00 in my home country in Jamaica.
22:02 So I want to ask you about Mexico,
22:04 when Bible Patrolman went to Mexico, hablas espanol.
22:07 No, no. What we...
22:10 So how did Bible Patrolman
22:11 get around with no hablas espanol?
22:12 We had. No hablar espanol.
22:14 We had interpreter there that we worked with,
22:17 even in Fiji when I preached, not in Fiji, with in Tanga,
22:22 when I preached there I had a interpreter,
22:24 you know, so we had somebody to...
22:25 So you had to train this assistant,
22:27 so you had to give him all the orientation
22:30 for Bible Patrolman, so that he would know
22:32 what to do or did he just interpret.
22:34 He just interpret, because the interpreter
22:36 was there actually, it was someone
22:38 that was from the island,
22:39 that flew with us from California.
22:41 And so he was aware of that and so we went there.
22:44 I understand that besides Bible Patrolman
22:48 and Girl Friday, that there is a another person
22:51 that's a part of the team,
22:52 lets welcome him on the set right now,
22:56 General, the awesome Joseph.
23:01 Joseph, how are you doing? I'm doing fine and you.
23:03 Joseph is one of my former students.
23:06 He's now graduated in High School.
23:08 It's so good to see you, you look so handsome.
23:10 Thank you.
23:11 Okay, so now I have to ask you, as young person,
23:13 how has it been in the family of Bible Patrolman?
23:16 It's been, it's been a journey. I enjoyed it so far.
23:20 I learned different things.
23:21 I go to different Bible studies with him.
23:24 And I learned how to share my faith at my school
23:27 and different places with different people.
23:28 Okay, so have you done any preaching yourself?
23:32 I have, I recently, not too long ago,
23:34 preached at Way 2 Life.
23:36 And I gave a message
23:39 and the people really enjoyed it there.
23:41 Okay, so Bible Patrolman, what all does Joseph do
23:45 as far as a team?
23:46 What talents does Joseph have?
23:48 Well, one of the thing that, you know, is very helpful
23:51 from Joseph's perspective, you know, going out
23:53 and doing ministry these days,
23:54 you want to reach the younger crowd.
23:56 And Joseph brings that to the table
23:58 because he, now even with technology
24:01 and taking pictures and then showing,
24:03 "Daddy, this is how you need to do it to,
24:04 kind of, reach the young people."
24:06 And so he's a great asset to the team
24:09 because he, you know, sometimes,
24:10 you know, we don't have that young people mindset
24:13 and he brings that to the table.
24:16 Okay, so Joseph, what kinds of things have you done
24:18 to keep Bible Patrolman current?
24:21 I'm trying to get Bible Patrolman
24:24 on the technology, social sites,
24:26 trying to get him to, get on the social media.
24:29 Facebook? Yeah, Facebook, Twitter.
24:31 Instagram... Twitter?
24:34 Bible Patrol, that kind of things.
24:35 There young go.
24:38 It's pretty cool, it's pretty cool.
24:39 So what talents do you have,
24:41 do you preach, what else do you do?
24:42 I play the piano. You play the piano.
24:44 Yes, Ma'am, I do.
24:45 So you play for Bible Patrolman,
24:47 in some of his meetings?
24:48 I do, some of the meetings that we go to,
24:50 when we went overseas on a mission trip, I played...
24:51 You went too?
24:52 I played when I went on a mission trip with them.
24:54 That's awesome, okay, and do you sing?
24:57 I do sing, I do sing, well, most of the times,
24:59 I leave that to my mother, but I do sing sometimes.
25:01 Oh, wow, Girl Friday, go ahead, okay
25:04 and what about guitar?
25:07 I dabble with the guitar,
25:09 I'm not really good at it but I dabble with it.
25:12 Do you see yourself, do have a purple shirt?
25:15 Just want to know.
25:17 Do you have the Bible Patrolman shirt?
25:18 I haven't got one yet, but I'm working on it.
25:20 Oh, you're working on it, okay, all right.
25:22 So what do you see as far as your future goes?
25:26 Do you see continuing on with what your dad is doing
25:29 or maybe adding on to it and doing something--
25:31 I mean, what's in your future?
25:33 What would you want to do when you,
25:34 you're very close to the point of growing up?
25:36 Yes, ma'am I'm-- I want to be a photojournalist.
25:39 And I want to take pictures.
25:41 And I really want to do mission work,
25:43 so media, media for the mission team
25:46 and that kind of thing.
25:47 And I would take up the Bible Patrol,
25:51 well, maybe in a different way,
25:52 in a different light and a different stand point.
25:56 Okay, so let's talk about
25:58 how we can get a hold of you guys, okay.
26:00 How can we reach Bible Patrolman?
26:01 What's the phone number?
26:03 Bible Patrolman, you can reach me at 901-650-2697
26:10 or you can just email me at biblepatrolman@gmail.com.
26:15 Again that number?
26:16 901-650-2697,
26:21 or just email me at biblepatrolman@gmail.com.
26:25 Okay, well, this has been very great, very wonderful,
26:28 great and exciting, how very wonderful and grand.
26:30 I mean, a real super hero and the whole family,
26:33 it's all been so very wonderful.
26:35 Bible Patrolman, would you be so kind to us
26:37 to offer us a closing prayer for us
26:39 and for all the viewers around the world,
26:42 who are looking for super heroes,
26:44 now who's the real super hero?
26:45 Jesus Christ. Amen.
26:47 But you're here down earth,
26:48 so we'll take your prayers, okay.
26:50 Let us pray.
26:52 Heavenly Father, again, we just want to say thank You
26:54 for Your goodness and Your mercy towards us.
26:56 We thank You for allowing us to be here today.
26:58 And we want to thank You
27:00 for all that You have done for this ministry.
27:02 And we thank You
27:04 for the listening audience on today,
27:06 that you may continue to be with them all over the world.
27:09 Lord, Father, there may be some one out there
27:10 who are thinking just to do a ministry like this.
27:12 And so I'm asking you to give them the strength,
27:15 the peace of mind to do this kind of work.
27:17 Because as we look, we can see that
27:19 the days are coming to a close.
27:21 And we thank You
27:22 for what You're doing in the ministry,
27:24 in the mighty name of Jesus, I do pray.
27:26 Amen. Amen.
27:28 Amen, thank you so much for coming,
27:30 thank you so much for sharing, Bible Patrolman,
27:34 it's been real, it's been rich, Girl Friday,
27:37 you look so cute over there and the son too,
27:40 the whole family doing ministry,
27:42 it's been great.
27:43 We thank you so much for joining us today,
27:45 this is your opportunity, you too can be a super hero,
27:49 you too could take on the power of God,
27:52 harness it and do a ministry in your city.
27:54 You say, "But no, I cannot, maybe I'm not equipped."
27:57 But listen to this,
27:58 Bible Patrolman got to start it from a car.
28:01 Somebody gave him a car,
28:03 slapped the logo on it, bam, Bible Patrolman.
28:06 Look and see what God may do for you.
28:09 Look for great powerful things
28:11 that God wants to do in your life.
28:12 And watch and see Him bring your wonderful ministry,
28:16 to be able to bless the world.
28:17 God bless, we'll see you next time.
