00:16 Hello and welcome to "His Words are Life."
00:18 I'm Kelly Mowrer and today
00:20 we are going to be reading in the Book of Ezekiel.
00:22 But let's pray together before we start.
00:25 Dear Heavenly Father,
00:26 thank you so much for this time
00:30 to listen to Your words that will teach us more of You
00:34 and that's what we hunger for.
00:36 Please be with us now as we read and teach us
00:40 what You would have us to know.
00:42 We love You so much and thank you for loving us. Amen.
00:46 We're reading in Ezekiel Chapter 4
00:48 beginning with verse 6 and this is the King James Version.
00:53 "And when thou hast accomplished them,
00:54 lie again on thy right side,
00:56 and thou shalt bear the iniquity
00:58 of the house of Judah forty days.
01:01 I have appointed thee each day for a year.
01:05 Therefore thou shalt set thy face
01:07 toward the siege of Jerusalem,
01:08 and thine arm shall be uncovered,
01:10 and thou shalt prophesy against it.
01:13 And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee,
01:16 and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another,
01:19 till thou hast ended the days of thy siege.
01:23 Take thou also unto thee wheat,
01:26 and barley, and beans, and lentiles,
01:28 and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel,
01:31 and make thee bread thereof,
01:33 according to the number of the days
01:35 that thou shalt lie upon thy side,
01:37 three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.
01:40 And thy meat which thou shalt eat
01:42 shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day,
01:46 from time to time shalt thou eat it.
01:49 Thou shalt drink also water by measure,
01:51 the sixth part of an hin,
01:52 from time to time shalt thou drink.
01:55 And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes,
01:57 and thou shalt bake it with dung
01:59 that cometh out of man, in their sight.
02:02 And the Lord said, even thus shall the children of Israel
02:05 eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles,
02:09 whither I will drive them.
02:12 Then said I, Ah Lord God!
02:15 Behold, my soul hath not been polluted,
02:18 for from my youth up even till now
02:22 have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself,
02:25 or is torn in pieces,
02:27 neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.
02:32 Then he said unto me,
02:33 Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung,
02:36 and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.
02:40 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man,
02:42 behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem.
02:46 And they shall eat bread by weight, and with care,
02:50 and they shall drink water by measure,
02:52 and with astonishment.
02:54 That they may want bread and water,
02:56 and be astonied one with another,
02:58 and consume away for their iniquity."
03:02 Continuing in Ezekiel Chapter 5
03:04 and this is the King James Version.
03:07 "And thou, son of man,
03:08 take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber's razor,
03:12 and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard,
03:16 then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the hair.
03:19 Thou shalt burn with fire a third part
03:22 in the midst of the city,
03:24 when the days of the siege are fulfilled.
03:26 And thou shalt take a third part,
03:28 and smite about it with a knife.
03:31 And a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind,
03:34 and I will draw out a sword after them.
03:37 Thou shalt also take thereof a few in number,
03:39 and bind them in thy skirts.
03:41 Then take of them again,
03:43 and cast them into the midst of the fire,
03:45 and burn them in the fire,
03:46 for thereof shall a fire come forth
03:49 into all the house of Israel.
03:52 Thus saith the Lord God, this is Jerusalem.
03:56 I have set it in the midst of the nations
03:58 and countries that are round about her.
04:01 And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness
04:05 more than the nations and my statutes
04:08 more than the countries that are round about her,
04:09 for they have refused my judgments and my statutes,
04:12 they have not walked in them.
04:15 Therefore thus saith the Lord God.
04:17 Because ye multiplied more than the nations
04:21 that are round about you,
04:23 and have not walked in my statutes,
04:25 neither have kept my judgments,
04:27 neither have done according to the judgments
04:28 of the nations that are round about you.
04:30 Therefore thus saith the Lord God.
04:33 Behold, I, even I, am against thee,
04:37 and will execute judgments in the midst of thee
04:39 in the sight of the nations.
04:41 And I will do in thee that which I have not done,
04:45 and whereunto I will not do any more the like,
04:49 because of all thine abominations.
04:52 Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons
04:55 in the midst of thee,
04:56 and the sons shall eat their fathers,
04:58 and I will execute judgments in thee,
05:00 and the whole remnant of thee
05:02 will I scatter into all the winds.
05:05 Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord God,
05:08 surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary
05:12 with all thy detestable things,
05:14 and with all thine abominations,
05:16 therefore will I also diminish thee,
05:20 neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.
05:26 A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence,
05:30 and with famine shall they be consumed
05:32 in the midst of thee.
05:33 And a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee,
05:37 and I will scatter a third part into all the winds,
05:40 and I will draw out a sword after them.
05:43 Thus shall mine anger be accomplished,
05:45 and I will cause my fury to rest upon them,
05:49 and I will be comforted.
05:50 And they shall know that I the Lord
05:53 have spoken it in my zeal,
05:55 when I have accomplished my fury in them.
05:58 Moreover I will make thee waste and a reproach
06:01 among the nations that are round about thee,
06:03 in the sight of all that pass by.
06:06 So it shall be a reproach and a taunt,
06:09 an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations
06:12 that are round about thee,
06:14 when I shall execute judgments in thee
06:16 in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes.
06:21 I the Lord have spoken it.
06:24 When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine,
06:28 which shall be for their destruction,
06:29 and which I will send to destroy you.
06:32 And I will increase the famine upon you,
06:35 and will break your staff of bread.
06:37 So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts,
06:40 and they shall bereave thee,
06:42 and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee,
06:45 and I will bring the sword upon thee.
06:48 I the Lord have spoken it."
06:51 Continuing to read in Ezekiel Chapter 6
06:54 and this is the King James Version.
06:57 "And the word of the Lord came unto me,
06:59 saying, Son of man,
07:00 set thy face toward the mountains of Israel,
07:03 and prophesy against them,
07:04 and say, Ye mountains of Israel,
07:07 hear the word of the Lord God,
07:08 thus saith the Lord God to the mountains,
07:12 and to the hills, to the rivers and to the valleys.
07:15 Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you,
07:19 and I will destroy your high places.
07:21 And your altars shall be desolate,
07:24 and your images shall be broken.
07:26 And I will cast down your slain men before your idols.
07:29 And I will lay the dead carcases
07:31 of the children of Israel before their idols,
07:34 and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.
07:38 In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste,
07:42 and the high places shall be desolate,
07:44 that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate,
07:47 and your idols may be broken and cease,
07:52 and your images may be cut down,
07:54 and your works may be abolished.
07:58 And the slain shall fall in the midst of you,
08:01 and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
08:05 Yet will I leave a remnant.
08:08 That ye may have some that shall escape
08:11 the sword among the nations,
08:13 when ye shall be scattered through the countries.
08:16 And they that escape of you shall remember me
08:19 among the nations whither they shall be carried captives,
08:22 because I am broken with their whorish heart,
08:25 which hath departed from me, and with their eyes,
08:28 which go a whoring after their idols.
08:31 And they shall lothe themselves for the evils
08:35 which they have committed in all their abominations.
08:38 And they shall know that I am the Lord,
08:42 and that I have not said in vain
08:44 that I would do this evil upon them.
08:47 Thus saith the Lord God, Smite with thine hand,
08:50 and stamp with thy foot, and say,
08:53 Alas for all the evil abominations
08:55 of the house of Israel!
08:57 For they shall fall by the sword,
08:59 by the famine, and by the pestilence.
09:02 He that is far off shall die of the pestilence,
09:04 and he that is near shall fall by the sword,
09:07 and he that remaineth and is besieged
09:10 shall die by the famine.
09:12 And thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.
09:16 Then shall ye know that I am the Lord,
09:19 when their slain men shall be among their idols
09:22 round about their altars, upon every high hill,
09:26 in all the tops of the mountains,
09:27 and under every green tree, and under every thick oak,
09:30 the place where they did
09:31 offer sweet savour to all their idols.
09:35 So will I stretch out my hand upon them,
09:38 and make the land desolate, yea,
09:40 more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath,
09:43 in all their habitations.
09:45 And they shall know that I am the Lord."
09:50 Continuing in the Book of Ezekiel Chapter 7
09:53 and this is the King James Version.
09:56 "Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me,
09:58 saying, also, thou son of man,
10:01 thus saith the Lord God unto the land of Israel,
10:04 an end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.
10:09 Now is the end come upon thee,
10:11 and I will send mine anger upon thee,
10:13 and will judge thee according to thy ways,
10:15 and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.
10:19 And mine eye shall not spare thee,
10:22 neither will I have pity.
10:23 But I will recompense thy ways upon thee,
10:26 and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee.
10:28 And ye shall know that I am the Lord.
10:32 Thus saith the Lord God, an evil,
10:34 an only evil, behold, is come.
10:37 An end is come, the end is come.
10:39 It watcheth for thee, behold, it is come.
10:44 The morning is come unto thee, O thou
10:46 that dwellest in the land, The time is come,
10:48 the day of trouble is near,
10:49 and not the sounding again of the mountains.
10:53 Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee,
10:56 and accomplish mine anger upon thee,
10:58 and I will judge thee according to thy ways,
11:00 and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.
11:04 And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity.
11:07 I will recompense thee according to thy ways
11:10 and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee,
11:13 and ye shall know that I am the Lord that smiteth.
11:18 Behold the day, behold, it is come,
11:21 the morning is gone forth, the rod hath blossomed,
11:25 pride hath budded Violence is risen up
11:29 into a rod of wickedness,
11:31 none of them shall remain,
11:33 nor of their multitude, nor of any of their's,
11:36 neither shall there be wailing for them.
11:39 The time is come, the day draweth near.
11:43 Let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn,
11:47 for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
11:51 For the seller shall not return to that which is sold,
11:55 although they were yet alive,
11:57 for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof,
11:59 which shall not return,
12:01 neither shall any strengthen himself
12:03 in the iniquity of his life.
12:06 They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready.
12:09 But none goeth to the battle,
12:12 for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
12:15 The sword is without,
12:17 and the pestilence and the famine within.
12:20 He that is in the field shall die with the sword,
12:22 and he that is in the city,
12:24 famine and pestilence shall devour him.
12:28 But they that escape of them shall escape,
12:30 and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys,
12:33 all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.
12:37 All hands shall be feeble,
12:39 and all knees shall be weak as water.
12:42 They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth,
12:45 and horror shall cover them,
12:47 and shame shall be upon all faces,
12:49 and baldness upon all their heads.
12:53 They shall cast their silver in the streets,
12:56 and their gold shall be removed.
12:58 Their silver and their gold shall not be able
13:00 to deliver them, in the day of the wrath of the Lord.
13:05 They shall not satisfy their souls,
13:07 neither fill their bowels, because it is
13:10 the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
13:13 As for the beauty of his ornament,
13:15 he set it in majesty.
13:17 But they made the images of their abominations
13:19 and of their detestable things therein.
13:22 Therefore have I set it far from them.
13:26 And I will give it into the hands
13:28 of the strangers for a prey,
13:31 and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil,
13:33 and they shall pollute it.
13:35 My face, will I turn also from them,
13:37 and they shall pollute my secret place,
13:39 for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.
13:42 Make a chain, for the land is full of bloody crimes,
13:46 and the city is full of violence.
13:48 Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen,
13:51 and they shall possess their houses.
13:53 I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease,
13:56 and their holy places shall be defiled.
13:59 Destruction cometh and they shall seek peace,
14:02 and there shall be none.
14:04 Mischief shall come upon mischief,
14:06 and rumour shall be upon rumour,
14:07 then shall they seek a vision of the prophet.
14:10 But the law shall perish from the priest,
14:12 and counsel from the ancients.
14:15 The king shall mourn,
14:17 and the prince shall be clothed with desolation,
14:21 and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled.
14:25 I will do unto them after their way,
14:27 and according to their deserts will I judge them,
14:30 and they shall know that I am the Lord."
14:35 Thank you, for joining with me to read the word of God
14:37 and please join me again next time, goodbye.
