00:18 I'm Kelly Mowrer and thank you for coming apart with me 00:21 to read the word of God together. 00:23 When we last read, Moses, was conducting a census 00:26 of the children of Israel according to God's instruction. 00:29 And we're going to pick up that story in the book of Numbers, 00:32 but before we start Let's pray. 00:34 Our Father in heaven, thank you so much for loving us, 00:39 and for redeeming us. And we need you to be, 00:43 not only our Saviour, but our Master. We need to know your 00:47 words so we can serve you better. 00:49 So please send the Holy Spirit to teach us 00:52 from your word today. Amen. 00:54 In Numbers, chapter 26 and we're picking up in verse 54 01:00 with the story of the census of the children of Israel. 01:03 And God is speaking in this verse, to Moses. 01:09 To many, thou shalt give the more inheritance, 01:12 and to few, thou shalt give the less inheritance: 01:15 to every one shall his inheritance be given 01:18 according to those that were numbered of him. 01:19 Not withstanding, the land shall be divided by lot: 01:23 according to the names of the tribes of their fathers 01:25 they shall inherit. According to the lot shall the possession 01:29 thereof be divided between many and few. 01:31 And these are they that were numbered of the Levites 01:34 after their families: of Gershon the family of the Gershonites: 01:37 of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites: 01:39 of Merari, the family of the Merarites. 01:41 These are the families of the Levites: 01:43 the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, 01:46 the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, 01:48 the family of the Korathites. And Kohath begat Amram. 01:51 And the name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, 01:54 the daughter of Levi, whom her mother bare to Levi, 01:57 in Egypt: and she bare unto Amram, Aaron and Moses, 02:01 and Miriam their sister. 02:04 And unto Aaron was born Nadab and Abihu, 02:06 Eleazar, and Ithamar. And Nadab and Abihu died, 02:11 when they offered strange fire before the Lord. 02:13 And those that were numbered of them were 23,000, all males 02:16 from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered 02:20 among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance 02:22 given them among the children of Israel. 02:24 These are they that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar 02:28 the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains 02:30 of Moab by Jordan near Jericho. But among these there was not 02:36 a man of them whom Moses and Aaron, the priest numbered 02:39 when they numbered the children of Israel 02:41 in the wilderness of Sinai. For the Lord had said of 02:44 them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. 02:47 And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb 02:51 the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. 02:55 Continuing now in Numbers, chapter 27, King James Version. 02:59 Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, 03:04 the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, 03:07 of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: 03:10 and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, 03:14 and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah. 03:17 And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, 03:20 and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door 03:23 of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying, 03:26 Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not 03:30 in the company of them that gathered themselves together 03:33 against the Lord in the company of Korah; 03:34 but died in his own sin, and had no sons. 03:37 Why should the name of our father be done away 03:41 from among his family, because he hath no son? 03:43 Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren 03:47 of our father. And Moses brought their cause before the Lord. 03:52 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, The daughters 03:56 of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them 04:00 a possession of an inheritance among their father's brethren; 04:03 and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father 04:06 to pass unto them. And thou shalt speak unto the children 04:10 of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, 04:13 then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass 04:16 unto his daughter. And if he have no daughter, 04:19 then ye shall give his inheritance unto 04:20 his brethren. And if he have not brethren, then ye shall 04:23 give his inheritance unto his father's brethren. 04:25 And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his 04:27 inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him 04:30 of his family and he shall possess it: and it shall be 04:33 unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, 04:36 as the Lord commanded Moses. And the Lord said unto Moses 04:39 Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land 04:44 which I have given unto the children of Israel. 04:46 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shall be gathered 04:50 unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered. 04:53 For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert 04:56 of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me 04:59 at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in 05:02 Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin. And Moses spake unto the Lord 05:07 saying, Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, 05:11 set a man over the congregation, which may go out before them, 05:15 and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out 05:18 and which may bring them in; that the congregation 05:20 of the Lord be not as sheep which have no shepherd. 05:23 And the Lord said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun 05:28 a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him; 05:33 And set him before Eleazar the priest, 05:35 and before all the congregation; and give him a charge 05:37 in their sight. And thou shalt put some of thine honour 05:40 upon him that all the congregation of the children of 05:44 Israel may be obedient. And he shall stand before Eleazar 05:48 the priest, who shall ask counsel for him 05:51 after the judgment of Urim before the Lord: at his word 05:54 shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, 05:58 both he, and all the children of Israel with him, 06:01 even all the congregation. 06:02 And Moses did as the Lord commanded him: 06:05 and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, 06:09 and before all the congregation. And he laid his hands upon him, 06:13 and gave him a charge, as the Lord commanded 06:15 by the hand of Moses. 06:17 We are continuing to read in the book of Numbers, chapter 28 06:22 this is the King James Version. 06:24 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 06:27 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them. 06:29 My offering and my bread for my sacrifices made by fire, 06:33 for a sweet savour unto me, shall ye observe to offer to me 06:38 in their due season. And thou shalt say unto them, 06:40 This is the offering, made by fire that ye shall offer 06:43 unto the Lord; two lambs of the first year without spot 06:46 day by day, for a continual burnt offering. 06:49 The one lamb shalt thou offer in the morning, and the other lamb 06:52 shalt thou offer at even; And a tenth part of an ephah of flour 06:56 for a meat offering, mingled with the fourth part of an hin 06:59 of beaten oil. It is a continual burnt offering, 07:02 which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet savour, 07:05 a sacrifice made by fire unto the Lord. 07:08 And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of an 07:12 hin for the one lamb: in the holy place shalt thou cause 07:15 the strong wine to be poured unto the Lord 07:17 for a drink offering. And the other lamb shalt thou offer 07:21 at even: as the meat offering of the morning, 07:23 and as the drink offering thereof, thou shalt offer it, 07:25 a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord. 07:29 And on the sabbath day 2 lambs of the first year, without spot, 07:34 and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, 07:38 mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof: 07:41 This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, 07:43 beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering 07:47 And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt 07:51 offering unto the Lord; two young bullocks, and one ram, 07:54 seven lambs of the first year without spot; 07:57 And three tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, 08:00 mingled with oil, for one bullock; and two tenth deals 08:04 of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one ram; 08:08 And a several tenth deal of flour mingled with oil 08:12 for a meat offering unto one lamb; for a burnt offering 08:14 of a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the Lord. 08:19 And their drink offerings shall be half an hin of wine 08:22 unto a bullock, and a third part of an hin unto a ram, 08:26 and a fourth part of an hin unto a lamb: 08:28 this is the burnt offering of every month throughout 08:31 the months of the year. And one kid of the goats 08:34 for a sin offering unto the Lord shall be offered, beside the 08:38 continual burnt offering, and his drink offering. 08:40 And in the fourteenth day of the first month is the Passover 08:44 of the Lord. And in the 15th day of this month is the feast: 08:48 seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten. 08:50 In the first day shall be an holy convocation; 08:53 ye shall do no manner of servile work therein; 08:56 But ye shall offer a sacrifice made by fire 08:59 for a burnt offering unto the Lord; two young bullocks, 09:02 and one ram and seven lambs of the first year: 09:05 They shall be unto you without blemish, and their meat offering 09:09 shall be of flour mingled with oil: three tenth deals 09:12 shall ye offer for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram; 09:16 a several tenth deal shalt thou offer for every lamb, throughout 09:21 the seven lambs. And one goat for a sin offering, 09:24 to make an atonement for you. Ye shall offer these beside 09:28 the burnt offering in the morning, 09:29 which is for a continual burnt offering. After this manner 09:32 ye shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the meat of 09:36 the sacrifice made by fire of a sweet savour unto the Lord. 09:39 It shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, 09:43 and his drink offering. And on the seventh day ye shall have 09:47 an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work. 09:51 Also in the day of the first fruits, when ye bring a new 09:54 meat offering unto the Lord, after your weeks be out, 09:57 ye shall have an holy convocation; 10:00 ye shall do no servile work; But ye shall offer the burnt 10:03 offering for a sweet savour unto the Lord; 10:06 two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year; 10:10 and their meat offering of flour mingled with oil, 3 tenth deals 10:14 unto one bullock, two tenth deals unto one ram, 10:17 a several tenth deal unto one lamb, throughout the 7 lambs; 10:21 and one kid of the goats, to make an atonement for you. 10:24 Ye shall offer them beside the continual burnt offering, 10:29 And his meat offering, they shall be unto you 10:32 without blemish, and their drink offerings. 10:36 Continuing in Numbers Chapter 29. 10:37 And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, 10:41 ye shall have an holy convocation; 10:43 ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets 10:47 unto you. And ye shall offer a burnt offering for a sweet 10:50 savour unto the Lord; one young bullock, one ram, and seven 10:54 lambs of the first year without blemish: 10:56 and their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, 11:00 three tenth deals for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram, 11:05 and one tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the 7 lambs: 11:09 and one kid of the goats for a sin offering, 11:12 to make an atonement for you: beside the burnt offering 11:15 of the month, and his meat offering, 11:17 and the daily burnt offering, and his meat offering, 11:19 and their drink offerings, according unto their manner, 11:22 for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire 11:26 unto the Lord. 11:27 And ye shall have on the tenth day of this seventh month 11:32 an holy convocation Ye shall afflict your soul. 11:36 Ye shall not do any work therein: 11:38 But ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the Lord 11:41 for a sweet savor; one young bullock, one ram and 7 lambs 11:47 of the first year; they shall be unto you without blemish: 11:51 And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, 11:54 three tenth deals to a bullock, and two tenth deals to one ram, 11:58 A several tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the 7 lambs: 12:02 One kid of the goats for a sin offering; 12:05 beside the sin offering of atonement, 12:07 and the continual burnt offering, and the meat 12:10 offering of it and the drink offerings. 12:11 And on the 15th day of the 7th month ye shall have 12:15 an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work, 12:19 and ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days: 12:22 And ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice 12:26 made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord; 12:29 thirteen young bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs 12:34 of the first year; they shall be without blemish: 12:36 And their meat offerings shall be of flour mingled with oil, 12:40 three tenth deals unto every bullock of the thirteen bullocks 12:45 two tenth deals to each ram of the two rams, 12:49 and a several tenth deal to each lamb of the 14 lambs: 12:54 And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; 12:57 beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, 13:00 and his drink offering. 13:01 And on the second day ye shall offer twelve young bullocks, 13:06 two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without spot: 13:11 And their meat offering and their drink offerings 13:13 for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs 13:16 shall be according to their number, after the manner: 13:18 And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; 13:21 beside the continual burnt offering, and the meat offering 13:24 thereof, and their drink offerings. 13:26 And on the third day eleven bullocks, two rams, 14 lambs 13:32 of the first year without blemish; and their meat offering 13:34 and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, 13:38 and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, 13:41 after the manner: And one goat for a sin offering; beside the 13:46 continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, 13:48 and his drink offering. And on the fourth day ten bullocks, 13:53 two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish: 13:58 Their meat offering and their drink offerings 14:00 for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be 14:04 according to their number, after the manner: 14:06 And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; 14:08 beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, 14:10 and his drink offering. And on the fifth day nine bullocks, 14:15 two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without spot: 14:20 Thank you for joining with me today to read the word of God. 14:24 Until we come together again, let us also bring our sacrifice 14:28 of praise to the Lord for a sweet savour to thank Him for 14:31 His kindness and His mercy to each one of us.
