00:15 Hi and welcome to His Words Are Life.
00:17 Thank you for joining with me
00:18 to read the Bible. We're reading
00:20 in Leviticus right now
00:22 the different laws and sacrifices and things regarding
00:27 the sanctuary. Before we start, let's pray together.
00:30 Dear Jesus, thank you so much for this time to step aside
00:34 and to read Your Word and to be strengthened
00:37 by what we will hear. Thank you for the stories
00:40 of how You have led so long ago.
00:42 We know that just as You led your children all through the
00:46 centuries You are leading in each of our lives today.
00:49 We want to grow closer to You.
00:50 Please be with us now as we read.
00:52 We love You, and thank you for loving us. Amen.
00:56 We are reading Leviticus starting in chapter 27.
00:59 And this is the King James version.
01:01 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
01:04 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them,
01:07 When a man shall make a singular vow,
01:10 the persons shall be for the Lord by thy estimation.
01:13 And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old
01:17 even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be
01:21 fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.
01:25 And if it be a female, then thy estimation shall be
01:28 thirty shekels. And if it be from five years old even unto
01:32 twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male
01:36 twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.
01:38 And if it be from a month old even unto five years old,
01:43 then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels
01:46 of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be
01:49 three shekels of silver.
01:51 And if it be from sixty years old and above;
01:54 if it be a male, then thy estimation shall be
01:58 fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.
02:01 But if he be poorer than thy estimation,
02:04 then he shall present himself before the priest,
02:06 and the priest shall value him;
02:09 according to his ability that vowed
02:11 shall the priest value him.
02:13 And if it be a beast, whereof men bring an offering
02:17 unto the Lord, all that any man giveth of such unto the Lord
02:21 shall be holy. He shall not alter it,
02:24 nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good:
02:27 and if he shall at all change beast for beast,
02:31 then it and the exchange thereof shall be holy.
02:34 And if it be any unclean beast, of which they do not offer
02:39 a sacrifice unto the Lord, then he shall present the beast
02:42 before the priest: And the priest shall value it,
02:45 whether it be good or bad: as thou valuest it,
02:49 who art the priest, so shall it be.
02:52 But if he will at all redeem it,
02:55 then he shall add a fifth part thereof unto thy estimation.
02:59 And when a man shall sanctify his house to be holy
03:03 unto the Lord, then the priest shall estimate it,
03:06 whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it,
03:10 so shall it stand.
03:12 And if he that sanctified it will redeem his house,
03:15 then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation
03:19 unto it, and it shall be his.
03:21 And if a man shall sanctify unto the Lord some part of a
03:25 field of his possession, then thy estimation shall be
03:29 according to the seed thereof: a homer of barley seed shall be
03:33 valued at fifty shekels of silver.
03:36 If he sanctify his field from the year of jubilee,
03:39 according to thy estimation it shall stand.
03:42 But if he sanctify his field after the jubilee,
03:45 then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according
03:47 to the years that remain, even unto the year of the jubilee,
03:51 and it shall be abated from thy estimation.
03:54 And if he that sanctified the field will in any wise redeem it
03:58 then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation
04:01 unto it, and it shall be assured to him.
04:04 And if he will not redeem the field,
04:06 or if he have sold the field to another man,
04:09 it shall not be redeemed any more.
04:11 But the field, when it goeth out in the jubilee,
04:14 shall be holy unto the Lord, as a field devoted;
04:18 the possession thereof shall be the priest's.
04:20 And if a man sanctify unto the Lord a field which he hath
04:23 bought, which is not of the fields of his possession;
04:26 Then the priest shall reckon unto him the worth of thy
04:29 estimation, even unto the year of the jubilee:
04:32 and he shall give thine estimation in that day,
04:34 as a holy thing unto the Lord.
04:37 In the year of the jubilee the field shall return unto him
04:40 of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession
04:43 of the land did belong.
04:45 And all thy estimations shall be according to the shekel of the
04:49 sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel.
04:52 Only the firstling of the beast, which should be the
04:55 Lord's firstling, no man shall sanctify it;
04:57 whether it be ox, or sheep: it is the Lord's.
05:00 And if it be of an unclean beast, then he shall redeem it
05:04 according to thine estimation, and shall add a fifth part of it
05:07 thereto: or if it be not redeemed,
05:10 then it shall be sold according to thy estimation.
05:13 Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote
05:17 unto the Lord of all that he hath, both of man and beast,
05:20 and of the field of his possession,
05:22 shall be sold or redeemed:
05:24 every devoted thing is most holy unto the Lord.
05:27 None devoted, which shall be devoted of men,
05:30 shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death.
05:34 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land,
05:38 or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's:
05:41 it is holy unto the Lord.
05:43 And if a man will at all redeem aught of his tithes,
05:46 he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.
05:50 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock,
05:53 even of whatsoever passeth under the rod,
05:56 the tenth shall be holy unto the Lord.
05:59 He shall not search whether it be good or bad,
06:02 neither shall he change it: and if he change it at all,
06:04 then both it and the change thereof shall be holy;
06:07 it shall not be redeemed.
06:09 These are the commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses
06:12 for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.
06:15 We are continuing now with the
06:17 book of Numbers beginning in
06:19 chapter 1, and this is the King James version.
06:22 And the Lord spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai,
06:26 in the tabernacle of the congregation,
06:28 on the first day of the second month, in the second year
06:31 after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying:
06:34 Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children
06:37 of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers,
06:41 with the number of their names, every male by their polls;
06:46 From twenty years old and upward, all that are able
06:49 to go forth to war in Israel:
06:51 thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.
06:55 And with you there shall be a man of every tribe;
07:00 every one head of the house of his fathers.

08:03 And Moses and Aaron took these men which are expressed
08:07 by their names: And they assembled all the congregation
08:09 together on the first day of the second month,
08:11 and they declared their pedigrees after their families,
08:14 by the house of their fathers,
08:16 according to the number of the names, from twenty years old
08:19 and upward, by their polls.
08:21 As the Lord commanded Moses, so he numbered them
08:25 in the wilderness of Sinai.
08:27 And the children of Reuben, Israel's eldest son,

10:23 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of
10:26 Zebulun, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.
10:31 Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of
10:34 Ephraim, by their generations, after their families,
10:37 by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the
10:40 names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able
10:43 to go forth to war; Those that were numbered
10:46 of them, even of the tribe of Ephraim,
10:48 were forty thousand and five hundred.

13:00 For the Lord had spoken unto Moses, saying,
13:03 Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi,
13:06 neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel:
13:09 But thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle
13:13 of the testimony, and over all the vessels thereof,
13:15 and over all things that belong unto it:
13:17 they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof;
13:21 and they shall minister unto it,
13:22 and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.
13:25 And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall
13:29 take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched,
13:32 the Levites shall set it up:
13:34 and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
13:37 And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents,
13:40 every man by his own camp,
13:41 and every man by his own standard,
13:43 throughout their hosts.
13:44 But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle
13:47 of the testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation
13:51 of the children of Israel:
13:52 and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle
13:56 of testimony.
13:57 And the children of Israel did according to all
14:00 that the Lord commanded Moses, so did they.

14:17 far off about the tabernacle of the congregation
14:20 shall they pitch.
14:22 And on the east side toward the rising of the sun
14:24 shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah
14:26 pitch throughout their armies:
14:28 and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be captain
14:31 of the children of Judah.
