01:36 I'm John Carter. 01:38 Welcome today to the Carter Report 01:40 that is coming from my home. 01:43 We're in lockdown here in Australia. 01:46 I'm trying to get back to the United States, 01:48 but hasn't worked out so far 01:50 because I haven't been vaccinated. 01:51 I'm trying to get vaccinated but so far, 01:55 they haven't had the supplies of the Pfizer vaccination. 01:59 I want to thank my dear friend and team member Wayne Hackett, 02:04 just such a great guy. 02:06 Wayne, thank you for being such a blessing to us all. 02:09 I want to thank all of the Carter Report team 02:12 especially those working so hard in the United States 02:15 of America to put these programs 02:18 together but especially you. 02:21 What would we do without you, my friend? 02:23 And so today, 02:25 we give an extraordinary welcome to our watching 02:29 audience across Australia, 02:31 across the great United States of America 02:34 and right around this great world. 02:39 Many believe they have a conviction 02:42 burning in their bones that Jesus Christ 02:45 is going to return soon. 02:49 They believe that the great events 02:52 of Bible prophecy are now being fulfilled, 02:57 are coming to pass. 02:59 Look at their television screens, they read 03:02 The Economist magazine, they look at social media 03:06 and they see extraordinary events. 03:11 They believe we're living in the era of the return 03:14 of the King. 03:16 Listen please to the evidence 03:19 and you be the judge. 03:24 What did Jesus say about the destruction of Jerusalem? 03:31 Well, here's a passage I want to read to you out 03:34 of the scriptures. 03:35 Matthew 24:1-3. 03:41 Now just listen to this because it's quite extraordinary. 03:47 "Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple." 03:49 That's the great Jewish temple, one of the wonders of its age. 03:55 "His disciples came up to Him to show Him 03:58 the buildings of the temple." 04:00 It was absolutely a marvelous and a wonderful building. 04:05 Verse 2, "Jesus said to them, 04:07 'Do you not see all these things? 04:10 Assuredly, I say to you, 04:12 not one stone shall be left here 04:14 upon another that shall not be thrown down.'" 04:18 And verse 3, 04:20 "Now, as he sat on the Mount of Olives, 04:23 the disciples came to Him privately saying, 04:26 'Tell us, when will these things be? 04:30 And what will be the sign of Your coming, 04:32 and of the end of the age?'" 04:36 This is absolutely incredible. 04:40 Jesus tied in the destruction 04:42 of the Jewish temple that happened in 70 AD 04:46 with the end of the age 04:48 and with His own personal return. 04:52 And the question is, 04:54 what on earth has the destruction 04:57 of Jerusalem in 70 AD 05:01 got to do with the return of the King? 05:05 It's very, very simple. 05:08 The great events that occurred back there when Jerusalem 05:10 was destroyed in AD 70. 05:15 These great events were an illustration 05:19 or a type of the very end of the world. 05:24 The things that happened back there are going to be repeated. 05:27 They haven't back there in the narrow 05:30 locality of Israel, but the things that happened 05:34 back there in 70 AD are going to be repeated 05:39 on a worldwide scale up. 05:43 Listen to the evidence, you be the judge. 05:48 Is the return of Christ taught in the Bible? 05:54 The return of Christ is mentioned literally hundreds 05:56 of times in this book 05:59 which we call the Bible. 06:02 Jesus Himself said, 06:04 "I will come again." 06:08 And Jesus said that before He returned 06:11 as the King of the universe, 06:13 there will be certain worldwide signs. 06:17 We're going to talk about those today. 06:20 When Jesus came the first time 06:23 He came to pay the price of our sins. 06:27 He came as the Redeemer of the world. 06:29 That's why, my friend, He was crucified on the cross. 06:34 Only Jesus Christ can fulfill 06:38 the restless longings of the human heart, 06:42 your heart and mine. 06:44 He's going to come again in power and in great glory. 06:49 I'm quoting now from Hebrews 9:27-28. 06:54 It says, 06:56 "And as it is appointed for men to die once, 07:01 but after this the judgment." 07:03 Want you to think about this. 07:05 The Bible teaches that there is a judgment day 07:08 as it is appointed unto men to die once, 07:12 but after this the judgment. 07:14 "So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. 07:19 To those who eagerly wait for Him, 07:21 He will appear a second time, 07:24 apart from sin, for salvation." 07:28 He is coming again. 07:31 That is the truth. 07:35 How was Jerusalem destroyed in the year 70 AD? 07:43 Well, it's actually 07:44 a fascinating story that I studied under 07:47 the great German archaeologist Dr. Siegfried Hahn. 07:53 Let me give you some other fascinating details. 07:58 In 66 AD, of course you know what AD means, 08:01 it means Anno Domini, in the year of our Lord. 08:05 In 66 AD, 08:08 the Jews rose up against the Roman oppressors. 08:11 They'd had enough and the Jews are a proud, 08:14 independent people. 08:16 They are mighty soldiers. 08:18 The Romans sent down their resident general up in Syria. 08:24 He was a guy by the name of Cestius Gallus. 08:29 He came down, he attacked Jerusalem, 08:32 he surrounded Jerusalem but the amazing thing is this, 08:35 he was completely unable to subdue the Jews. 08:44 Cestius Gallus retreated, 08:46 went down the Beth Horon road to the coast. 08:48 The Jews came out like wild bees 08:52 and attacked him in the Beth Horon passes. 08:55 They killed thousands and thousands of Roman soldiers. 08:59 They were so confident that they had won the battle 09:02 against the Romans that they struck a coin, 09:05 my friend, it said, 09:08 "In the first year of liberty." 09:13 But you see, they hadn't read the prophecies 09:15 of the Bible because it wasn't over. 09:19 The Romans came back 09:21 and they came back in 70 AD. 09:26 There was a great siege. 09:28 Everything had been predicted. 09:31 You say to me, John Carter, do you really 09:34 believe in the prophecies of the Bible? 09:35 My friend, I've been studying these prophecies 09:39 for more than half a century. 09:42 I've been to these places. 09:43 I've gone there with an inquiring mind. 09:47 Hopefully with an open mind, 09:50 open mind and an open Bible 09:53 and I have actually seen the evidence. 09:58 Back there in 66 AD, there was a tremendous famine. 10:03 There were tremendous disasters. 10:06 These increased until you get to the year 70 AD, 10:11 when Jerusalem 10:12 is confronted by the armies of Titus, 10:17 the mighty Roman General. 10:20 It was all written down in the Bible 10:24 before it happened. 10:26 Consider the evidence. 10:31 The Prophet Daniel, 10:33 did he predict what would happen in Jerusalem? 10:39 Wayne, it's absolutely true. 10:41 And I'm going to quote you from Daniel 9:26. 10:46 This is amazing passage." 10:49 And after sixty-two weeks, 10:50 Messiah shall be cut off but not for Himself. 10:54 And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy 10:57 the city and the sanctuary. 10:59 The end of it shall be with a flood, 11:01 and till the end of the war, 11:03 desolations are determined." 11:09 Absolutely astounding. 11:11 This is written about 550 BC 11:15 which means it was written more than 600 years 11:18 before Titus came. 11:21 The Bible says that the Messiah would be cut off. 11:25 In other words, the Messiah would be murdered. 11:27 This came to pass. 11:29 Jesus died at the hands of the Romans. 11:32 He was nailed to the Roman cross. 11:35 But the text goes on to say, 11:37 now just listen carefully. 11:41 It says, "The people of the prince 11:45 who will come will destroy 11:48 the city and the sanctuary." 11:52 It doesn't say the prince would destroy the sanctuary. 11:55 It says, "The people of the prince." 11:59 The prince was Titus. 12:02 The people were the Roman soldiers. 12:07 Titus with all the zeal 12:10 of a Roman general did everything he could to preserve 12:15 and protect the Jewish temple. 12:17 But the Bible said, 12:19 "The people of the prince shall destroy the sanctuary. 12:25 They'll destroy the city." 12:26 It came to pass, every word came to pass. 12:30 The Roman soldiers when they saw the gold, 12:33 they were just overcome with passion, 12:37 the passion of conquest. 12:40 When they saw the obstinacy of the Jewish leaders, 12:44 they were just filled with a tremendous hatred. 12:48 And they rushed to the Jewish temple 12:51 and a Roman soldier against the protests of Titus himself, 12:55 a Roman soldier threw a flaming torch into the temple. 13:00 It was soon on fire. 13:03 I say to the skeptic and I hope we've got lots 13:06 of skeptics watching and listening today. 13:09 I say to the skeptic, 13:10 what are you going to do with this prophecy? 13:13 The people of the prince that shall come shall destroy 13:17 the city and the sanctuary. 13:20 Now listen up. 13:22 What happened back there was a type or an illustration 13:27 of the end of the world. 13:32 What happened back there 13:33 is going to be repeated 13:36 on a worldwide scale. 13:40 Listen carefully. 13:45 Did Jesus tell His disciples 13:47 what signs would take place before 13:51 the end of human civilization? 13:57 That's a great question, Wayne. 14:00 Let me read you from a book that is called 14:02 the little apocalypse because it seems to be... 14:06 No, not, it doesn't seem to be, it is. 14:08 It's talking about the return of the King 14:10 and the end of the age. 14:12 And also, it's building on what happened 14:15 back there in 70 AD 14:18 which was a type of the end of the world. 14:20 Now I hope I'm making this plain. 14:22 I'm going to read to you from Matthew 14:25 24:3-8. 14:30 Great passage, you're going to be astounded. 14:34 "Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, 14:37 the disciples came to him privately, saying, 14:39 "Tell us, when will these things be? 14:42 And what will be the sign of Your coming, 14:44 and of the end of the age?" 14:46 Now let's just have a little pause here. 14:50 You've got a time here 14:53 between what happened back there in 70 AD 14:55 and the end of the age. 14:57 What's going to be the sign of Your coming, 14:59 and of the end of the age? 15:02 They thought these two events were going to be one event, 15:06 but now we know there's been a lot of time between. 15:09 But just as it happened back there in 70 AD, 15:12 is going to happen, my friend, 15:14 at the end of the age. 15:16 Let me keep reading to you verses, let's see, verse 4. 15:21 "Jesus answered and said to them: 15:23 'Take heed that no one deceives you. 15:26 For many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ, 15:30 and will deceive many. 15:31 And you will hear wars and rumors of wars. 15:34 See that you are not troubled, for all these things 15:38 must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 15:43 For nation will rise against nation, 15:45 kingdom against kingdom. 15:48 There will be famines, pestilences, 15:50 and earthquakes in various places. 15:53 All these are the beginning of sorrows,'" 15:59 said Jesus. 16:03 When He said all these are the beginning of sorrows, 16:07 He was alluding to the birth pains that happened before 16:11 a baby is born. 16:14 Now every mother knows that before 16:17 the baby is born there are the birth pains 16:21 and they become more intense, they become more rapid. 16:25 And at the end of this process of pain, 16:29 the baby is born. 16:33 Now Jesus said that certain things would 16:36 happen in the world. 16:37 And these things happened back there before 16:38 Jerusalem was overthrown, 16:40 but they're going to happen on a worldwide scale. 16:44 Jesus said certain things are going to happen in the world. 16:47 And these are going to be the birth pangs, 16:51 the birth pains and they will precede 16:56 the birth of a grand new and marvelous world. 17:00 Let me talk about some of these things. 17:04 Jesus said there would be wars. 17:10 Did you watch the Chinese celebrations 17:12 for their 100th anniversary? 17:17 Did you see what China is doing? 17:20 Did you see the size of the Chinese army? 17:26 Did you see their precision? 17:29 Did you hear how they're building 17:31 a huge number of nuclear missiles? 17:36 We are living in the time, my friend, 17:39 when the nations are preparing for Armageddon. 17:42 Jesus said it. 17:46 Jesus spoke about famines. 17:47 Now you say to me, 17:49 but they've always been famines, of course. 17:52 But remember this idea that Jesus spoke 17:54 about this prophecy about the birth pangs. 17:59 They would become more intense, more and more and more, 18:03 more of the same. 18:04 More wars, world wars, 18:08 nations destroying each other, 18:10 but then Jesus spoke about famines. 18:14 I mentioned before the great Chinese people. 18:17 Did you know that the Chinese Communist during 18:20 the days of Mao Zedong put to death between 15 18:25 and 50 million innocent Chinese people, 18:28 they starved them to death. 18:31 As I'm talking to you today, 18:34 millions of people around the world are starving 18:38 and most of them are going to die. 18:41 Wars and famines. 18:43 This is the age in which we live. 18:45 Jesus spoke about the pestilences. 18:50 Now all of these things, my dear viewer, 18:54 happened before Jerusalem was overthrown in 70 AD. 18:58 There were wars, there were famines 19:01 and there were pestilences. 19:03 You can read it in the ancient historians. 19:06 What I'm telling you is the truth. 19:09 This prophecy has been fulfilled. 19:12 It is going to be filled full in our day 19:17 and our age. 19:20 Now Jesus spoke about the pestilences. 19:24 Would you like to know why this program 19:26 is coming today from Australia, from my home? 19:31 Because we're in lockdown here in Australia. 19:36 Sydney is locked down, a city of 5.5 to 6 million people. 19:40 It's in total lockdown. 19:41 Melbourne has gone into lockdown. 19:45 South Australia has gone into lockdown. 19:48 More than 12 million Australians right now 19:50 are in total lockdown because of the new variant 19:54 of COVID-19 which is delta. 19:58 And as I'm talking to you, 20:00 I've just received word that the stock 20:02 exchange in the United States of America plummeted almost 800 20:06 points because of fear 20:09 of COVID-19 delta. 20:13 Now, Beverley and I have been trying to get vaccinated here. 20:17 We've been trying to get the Pfizer vaccination, 20:19 so we can get back to our team in the United States 20:22 of America, but up to now we've been 20:25 unable to get it because apparently there's not 20:28 enough to go around. 20:30 So most Australians right now are in a very perilous 20:35 situation because about at least 85 or 90% 20:40 of Australians, at this present time, 20:42 are not vaccinated. 20:46 Now, Jesus said there would be pestilences. 20:48 And what we're going to see in the future is more of the same. 20:54 COVID-19 is the shape of things to come. 21:00 The birth pains 21:03 of the next world order and the return of the King. 21:07 It is true, my friend, it's happening. 21:12 Can we expect more pandemics? 21:18 Great question, Wayne. 21:20 We're pushing back the rainforests, 21:24 pushing back the rainforest all around the world. 21:27 Pushing them back in the Amazon terrain, 21:29 where we seem to have 21:31 a desire to destroy life on this planet. 21:35 It seems sanity of sin. 21:37 So we're pushing back the rainforest. 21:40 They're pushing back the rainforest, 21:42 even in Queensland, just to the north 21:44 of me in Australia here. 21:46 And as they push back the rainforests, in some parts 21:49 of the world they're exposing long secret, 21:54 shielded lost viruses. 21:58 We haven't been in contact with them. 22:01 But as we push back the rainforest, 22:04 so the viruses are exposed. 22:09 Do I think we're going to see more? 22:10 I'm not just thinking about it. 22:12 I'm absolutely certain about it. 22:14 People say to me, "Well, you know, 22:16 always been famines, always been pestilences." 22:18 Hey, they're missing the point. 22:21 The things that happened back there in 70 AD 22:25 and prior to 70 AD, 22:28 we're talking there about historical reality. 22:30 The things that happened back there are going to be repeated 22:35 on a worldwide scale. 22:38 It is happening today. 22:40 Soon, we are going to see, soon we're going to see 22:43 the coming of Jesus Christ in power 22:47 and great glory. 22:48 Nothing can stop the return of the King. 22:55 What about earthquakes? 23:01 Well, Wayne, my old friend, 23:03 we've lived most of our lives in Southern California. 23:07 My family and I have lived in Southern California for about, 23:10 I've got to think now, 32 years. 23:16 We know what it is when the earth rocks 23:18 and rolls. 23:20 I've been, we've been in our house 23:23 when our houses seemed to roll around. 23:26 David was in his house once, his refrigerator just rushed 23:29 across the room. 23:31 The paintings he had on the walls, 23:33 thought they were propellers and they spun around. 23:39 When the earth rumbles, it is God talking. 23:43 God needs to get our attention. 23:45 The best way He gets our attention 23:48 is through natural disasters. 23:52 There have always been earthquakes. 23:54 There were earthquakes back there in the days 23:56 of Jesus before Jerusalem was overthrown. 24:00 But the Bible teaches that earthquakes are going 24:03 to multiply in intensity around the world. 24:08 Right around the world, we're going to see it, 24:10 we're seeing it now. 24:12 Around the World, in Japan. 24:13 We're going to see it everywhere. 24:15 Maybe coming to a location near you, my friend. 24:20 The rumbling of the earth is a sign that the King is coming. 24:24 This is the word of the Lord. 24:44 Many people no matter 24:46 what their age still have their first teddy bear. 24:50 It's hard to let them go. 24:52 Their stitches might be loose, the stuffing flat, 24:56 one ear a little lopsided, 24:58 but they were always there for us. 25:01 Imagine giving a child their very first teddy bear, 25:05 especially when they are sick and lonely. 25:08 They will always remember that someone they didn't even 25:11 know cared enough to bring them a new friend 25:14 when they needed it most. 25:16 Will you help the Carter Report bring cheer to these children?
