00:01 It is a blessing to talk about India from India.
00:03 India is the largest democratic nation in the world,
00:06 with many languages, cultures and religions.
00:10 But who would guess one nation with 1.39 billion people.
00:14 India has freedom of speech,
00:16 so that one can talk, teach and preach.
00:21 Pastor John Carter has started his gospel meetings
00:25 in public in India in 2006,
00:28 and he found that millions of people
00:30 are unaware of the gospel.
00:33 So he started his television programs
00:35 in 2007 till today, nonstop.
00:38 In one of the South Indian languages
00:40 called Telugu that is taking this gospel
00:43 to nearly 500 million people.
00:46 And in last two deadly years,
00:48 there are millions of people dying in India with COVID
00:51 without knowing Jesus,
00:53 and that has pushed Pastor John Carter
00:55 to start his television programs in Hindi,
00:57 aiming to reach nearly a billion people.
01:00 And it is, it became possible just because of your help.
01:04 We thank you, everyone.
01:06 We thank every family of yours,
01:08 because you're standing in support
01:10 to Pastor John Carter, to do this great work in India.
01:13 We also pray God to strengthen you more,
01:16 to extend your support to Pastor John Carter,
01:18 to do this work India in future also.
01:20 We love you.
01:21 We thank you.
01:23 God bless you.
01:25 Today, on the Carter Report, He's the man who won't go away.
01:31 The Mighty One who came to earth,
01:34 the dictators in our world,
01:35 and tyrants in history
01:37 tried to kill off His followers,
01:39 but the believers only multiplied.
01:41 Even the grave could not hold Him.
01:44 Without a doubt,
01:45 He is the greatest and most influential person in history.
01:50 His name is Jesus.
01:52 Love Him or hate Him, you can't ignore Him,
01:56 or get rid of Him.
01:58 He will never leave or forsake His people.
02:01 Here is Pastor John Carter to tell us all about
02:05 the Man who won't go away.
02:13 Hello, friend, welcome today to the Carter Report
02:17 that comes to you from Australia,
02:19 where I'm in lockdown.
02:22 I'm trying to get back
02:23 to the United States of America,
02:25 but it's like going to the moon.
02:27 The borders are sealed.
02:29 And it's almost impossible
02:31 to get a permit to leave this place.
02:33 But I send you warm greetings today.
02:36 I wanna thank Wayne so much for joining us also,
02:39 this is going to be a program
02:41 you my friend will never forget.
02:47 How do you know that Jesus really existed?
02:53 Well, Wayne that's a good question.
02:55 But how do you know Caesar Augustus existed?
02:58 How do you know Alexander the Great existed?
03:01 How do you know Napoleon existed?
03:05 Well, you say
03:07 because of reliable historical evidence
03:09 because of the documents.
03:12 That's why we know Jesus existed because of authentic,
03:17 reliable, trustworthy
03:20 historical documents.
03:24 Every educated person knows that Jesus existed.
03:29 Benjamin Netanyahu is the former Prime Minister
03:33 of the Great State of Israel.
03:36 Now, he's not a Christian.
03:39 He's Jewish Orthodox, I believe,
03:41 therefore, in the State of Israel,
03:44 he would believe that Jesus was an imposter.
03:49 I don't think he would believe in many things
03:51 that I'm going to tell you today.
03:53 But he believes in the historicity of Jesus.
03:58 Every educated person knows that Jesus existed
04:02 because of all the thousands of documents we have.
04:06 Now, the greatest, arguably
04:09 so the greatest atheist in the world today
04:12 is Professor Richard Dawkins,
04:14 from the great Oxford University.
04:18 Dr. Dawkins went on record as saying,
04:21 "I don't believe that Jesus existed."
04:23 But he's done a splendid about turn.
04:26 And Richard Dawkins now says,
04:28 "Yes, Jesus really did exist."
04:38 When was Jesus born?
04:42 Thank you, Wayne.
04:44 History tells us that Jesus was born before 4 BC.
04:48 You say, well, that's, that's impossible.
04:51 How could He be born before 4 BC?
04:55 Well, I can tell you about this some other time
04:57 because they didn't start to work out the records,
05:00 BC and AD until some years after the Christ event.
05:06 But most likely Jesus was born
05:08 around 6 or 7 BC.
05:12 And so the historicity of Jesus
05:16 is without any question,
05:19 Jesus was a Jew,
05:21 who was born in the Middle East before 4 BC.
05:26 And the Bible tells us that He existed
05:29 billions and billions of years ago.
05:33 I wanna read you a text here.
05:35 This is John 1:1-2 and 14, it says,
05:40 "In the beginning was the Word, the Logos,
05:44 and the Logos was with God, and the Logos was God."
05:48 This means
05:50 He was of the very nature of God.
05:52 It goes on to say,
05:54 "He was in the beginning with God."
05:56 And the Logos, the Bible tells us
05:58 very, very plainly was Jesus Christ,
06:00 because it says, in verse 14,
06:03 "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
06:07 and we be held His glory,
06:10 the glory of as of the only begotten of the Father,
06:14 full of grace and truth."
06:18 So in the very beginning, when was that?
06:22 Billions of years ago, because God had no beginning.
06:26 But in the beginning was God the Father,
06:29 and with God, the Father was Jesus Christ,
06:32 the Logos, who is actually called God,
06:35 He partakes of the very nature,
06:39 and the very essence of God.
06:41 This is the Word of the Lord.
06:44 And in His great prayer
06:46 that is recorded in John Chapter 17,
06:49 my dear friend, Jesus talks about the glory
06:54 He had with God the Father,
06:56 before the world began.
07:02 Many say Jesus was just a man.
07:05 Some dismiss Him entirely.
07:08 Can you tell us who Jesus really was?
07:15 There are really three possibilities
07:17 I would like you to think about today
07:20 that Jesus was a good man,
07:23 or a mad man,
07:26 or the God man.
07:30 Now, let's think about Jesus being a good man.
07:34 Good people don't go around telling lies,
07:37 and Jesus went around telling people
07:41 that He was one with the Father.
07:43 He claimed to be one with Almighty God.
07:47 Either He was a liar,
07:50 which would exclude His being a good man,
07:52 or else He actually was the person He said He was.
07:57 Now usually people who go around were always
08:00 except with one case, one exception.
08:03 People who go around claiming to be God
08:05 are crazy.
08:09 But Jesus was judged sane by His contemporaries,
08:13 and Jesus claimed to be God.
08:17 You say, "Is this absolutely."
08:19 Did Jesus really claimed to be God?
08:21 Absolutely.
08:23 I'm going to read you the ancient record.
08:26 John 8:51-53,
08:29 out of the New King James Version.
08:31 Jesus said, "Most assuredly, I say to you,
08:35 if anyone keeps My word, he shall never see death."
08:40 What an extraordinary remark.
08:42 He said, "If you keep my sayings,
08:45 you're never going to see death."
08:47 "Then the Jews said to Him,
08:49 'Now we know that you have a demon!
08:52 Abraham is dead and the prophets, and you say,
08:54 if anyone keeps My word, he shall never see death."
08:58 We know you got a demon.
09:00 "Are you greater than our father Abraham,
09:02 who is dead?
09:03 And the prophets are dead.
09:06 Who do you make Yourself out to be?"
09:08 Who do You think You really are?
09:12 The Jews said to this carpenter
09:16 2000 years ago.
09:18 John 8:58-59.
09:22 Amazing words.
09:23 Jesus said to them...
09:25 Now just get this,
09:26 my friend I want you to hear this.
09:29 I want you to hear it loud and clear.
09:31 I want you to hear it
09:32 as though I'm sounding it out with the trumpet.
09:35 "Jesus said to them, 'Most assuredly,
09:37 I say to you
09:41 before Abraham was,
09:44 I AM.'"
09:48 Incredible, amazing.
09:50 If you said it, if I said it, we would be crazy.
09:53 Jesus said before Abraham existed,
09:56 not I was.
09:58 Jesus said before Abraham was, I AM.
10:04 The response was dramatic, but expected it says,
10:08 "Then they took up stones to throw at Him,
10:10 but Jesus hid Himself,
10:12 went out of the temple,
10:14 going through the midst of them,
10:15 and so passed by."
10:18 The Jews got it.
10:21 The Jews got it.
10:24 They knew that this man was claiming
10:26 to be Almighty God.
10:28 Because the expression I AM is the expression that pertains
10:32 only to Yahweh Elohim, Almighty God.
10:37 Jesus was claiming not to be just a man,
10:40 or a good man, He was claiming to be the God man.
10:46 Now I'm going to read you from Exodus 3:13-14,
10:51 Moses said to God,
10:52 this is the part about the burning bush,
10:54 you know the story.
10:55 "Moses said to God, 'Indeed,
10:57 when I come to the children of Israel,
10:59 and say to them,
11:00 the God of your fathers sent me to you,
11:03 and they say to me, what is His name?
11:07 What shall I say to them?
11:11 And God said to Moses, 'I AM who I AM.'
11:16 And He said,
11:17 'Thus you shall say to the children of Israel,
11:20 I AM has sent me to you.'"
11:24 Now are you listening to me?
11:27 This is either just a load of nonsense,
11:30 or else this is the greatest truth
11:33 in the history of the human race.
11:36 We're not talking here about some angel or some person
11:40 or some supernatural being,
11:42 we're talking about the great self existent God.
11:47 Jesus said before Abraham, was, I AM.
11:52 And then Moses is talking to Almighty God
11:54 at the burning bush.
11:55 And Almighty God says,
11:57 "I want you to go and tell the children of Israel my name,
12:00 tell them, I AM.
12:04 I AM."
12:06 This person is called in the scriptures,
12:08 my friends, He is called El Shaddai,
12:12 the Mighty One.
12:14 He is called Yahweh Elohim.
12:16 This is the most exalted title in the history of the universe,
12:21 in the history of the world.
12:25 It is the title of Almighty God,
12:28 and this title, Jesus Christ,
12:30 the carpenter, claimed for Himself.
12:35 He's more than a good man, He certainly not a crazy man.
12:39 The Bible teaches Jesus is the God man.
12:47 Who did Jesus claim He really was?
12:50 Wasn't this a dangerous thing for Him to claim?
12:56 Jesus claimed to be the author of life.
12:59 Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life."
13:03 Muhammad never said that.
13:05 Moses never said that.
13:07 The great Apostle Paul never said that.
13:09 If a person said that today,
13:11 it's because he's a crazy person.
13:13 Jesus said, "I am the way, I am the truth."
13:17 If you want to understand truth,
13:19 you discover truth in Christ.
13:21 Jesus said, "I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life."
13:26 Jesus forgave sins.
13:30 You can't forgive sins.
13:32 No human being can't forgive sins.
13:35 I can't forgive sins.
13:38 God only can forgive sins.
13:40 And Jesus claimed to have the right and the ability
13:44 and the authority to forgive sins.
13:46 Jesus raised the dead.
13:52 Wow!
13:54 Jesus walked out of His tomb by the power
13:58 that was within Him.
13:59 Jesus said, "I've got power to lay down my life.
14:04 I've got power to take it up again.
14:07 I have this because I'm in harmony with my Father,
14:10 God the Father."
14:13 Jesus promised to raise all of His true believers
14:17 from the grave at His Second Coming.
14:20 Jesus said, "If we believe in Him,
14:24 we have everlasting life."
14:26 Moses never said that.
14:29 The Apostle John never said that.
14:31 The great preacher Paul never said that.
14:33 Any person who says that is a fraud.
14:36 But Jesus said, "If we believe in Him,
14:39 we have everlasting life."
14:41 Jesus said, "He would resurrect all who believed in Him."
14:46 Jesus said, "He would be the great judge
14:49 of all men and women at the end of time."
14:53 He said, "I have received this authority,
14:55 because the Son of Man is going to be the judge.
15:00 He is going to be the judge,
15:02 because God Almighty is the judge.
15:06 Jesus said, "That the only way to salvation was through Him."
15:12 Buddha never said that.
15:14 Muhammad never said that.
15:17 No other human being said that.
15:19 But Jesus said that, He said,
15:22 "He is the only way to find salvation."
15:26 And the only way that you can come
15:27 to Almighty God is through Jesus.
15:30 Jesus said, "He was the living water."
15:33 Jesus said, "He was the bread of life."
15:37 Jesus said,
15:39 "He was the resurrection and the life."
15:41 He said,
15:42 "He was the only way to salvation."
15:45 Jesus said, "He and His father were one."
15:49 He is more than a prophet.
15:52 Are you listening to me?
15:55 Jesus is more than a prophet.
15:57 Jesus is Almighty God in human flesh.
16:06 Most Christians believe
16:08 that worshiping anyone but God is idolatry.
16:13 Do we worship Jesus and God?
16:18 Sure, anybody worshiping any person,
16:22 but God is an idolater.
16:25 Idolatry is a terrible sin.
16:28 It is a sin akin to blasphemy.
16:31 But when you come in the Bible, this marvelous book,
16:35 when you come to the Book of Hebrews,
16:38 you will find in Hebrews Chapter 1
16:41 that Jesus Christ is actually called Almighty God,
16:46 the Creator, and the Lord Himself.
16:50 He is called in the Book of Hebrews,
16:52 which in Hebrews Chapter 1 quotes and Psalm 102,
16:56 He is called Yahweh,
16:58 the Lord, the Creator, the Mighty One.
17:02 Let me read it to you, Hebrews 1:6, 8, 10.
17:06 "And when He again brings the firstborn into the world,
17:10 He says: 'Let all the angels of God worship Him.'"
17:14 Did you get this?
17:16 The angels worship Jesus.
17:19 Now somebody listening to the telecast today may say,
17:22 I don't worship Jesus.
17:25 Well, my friend, the angels worship Jesus,
17:29 because the angels recognize that Jesus is Almighty God,
17:35 He is God the Son.
17:37 The text goes on to say, "But to the Son,
17:39 He says: 'Your throne...'"
17:42 This is God talking, this is God talking.
17:43 "But to the Son, He says:
17:45 'Your throne, O, God, is forever and ever.'"
17:50 God the Father turns to Jesus and calls Him God.
17:55 "A scepter of righteousness
17:56 is the scepter of Your kingdom."
17:58 But here is the big text that please listen up to this,
18:03 because this is the deal breaker.
18:06 This finishes all arguments.
18:10 The Father says, here it goes.
18:12 "And You, Lord, in the beginning
18:17 laid the foundations of the earth,
18:20 and the heavens are the works of your hands."
18:24 Hey, are you listening to me?
18:27 Do you hear this?
18:29 This is the most amazing truth you're ever going to hear.
18:33 God the Father turns to Jesus Christ and He says,
18:37 and You, Lord, created the universe.
18:42 You laid the foundations of the heavens and the earth.
18:46 And the author of Hebrews Chapter 1,
18:48 now wait for this.
18:50 He quotes Psalm 102.
18:52 This is a quotation from Psalm 102.
18:57 And in Psalm 102, when it says, "You, Lord,
19:02 laid the foundations of the heavens and the earth,
19:05 you made the stars and everything."
19:07 The word in the Hebrew
19:10 is Yahweh YHWH
19:14 translated Jehovah
19:16 or LORD in caps.
19:20 This is absolutely overwhelming.
19:24 This is amazing.
19:25 The Jesus whom we worship
19:28 is the creator
19:32 of the universe.
19:35 He is Almighty God.
19:38 He is the great I AM,
19:39 and so we say in the words of the hymn,
19:43 oh, come, let us adore Him.
19:47 Let us adore this Christ, the great creator,
19:51 Yahweh Elohim, our Savior,
19:55 our King, our Redeemer.
20:01 Why was He born in poverty?
20:04 To Christians, Jesus is the King.
20:10 Wayne, my friend, that's an excellent question.
20:14 He came in poverty
20:16 because He came to save every person.
20:20 Can you imagine what folks would say Jesus was born
20:24 into a very, very wealthy family
20:26 and lived in a palace.
20:29 He became because He is the Savior,
20:32 and the God of every human being,
20:35 whether you're rich, or whether you're poor,
20:37 whether you're white, or whether you're black,
20:41 whether you're brown,
20:42 whether doesn't matter who you are.
20:45 Christ is the Christ for you.
20:49 Christ is your Savior, He died for you.
20:53 Jesus was born in the Middle East.
20:56 The Middle East is at the very center
20:59 of the world.
21:00 Christ is the center of the world.
21:05 He's the savior of the Africans,
21:08 and the Americans,
21:09 and the savior of the Australians,
21:13 and the Europeans,
21:14 and the Russians, and the Chinese.
21:17 And the people down in Latin America,
21:19 He's the savior of men and women,
21:22 it doesn't matter who they are.
21:27 He came in the midst of poverty so that nobody could ever say,
21:31 He doesn't care about me.
21:33 The news I want you to know today is this.
21:37 God invaded our earth, He came in into our realm,
21:41 He invaded time and space.
21:46 And He came and lived among us.
21:49 And He is our savior, it doesn't matter who you are,
21:53 He loves you.
21:54 And Jesus is God in human flesh.
21:58 This is the truth.
22:04 Who were His parents?
22:06 Did He have a big family?
22:11 Well, my friend, Wayne,
22:13 who is reading the questions today,
22:15 I'm glad you're with us in this telecast.
22:18 About his family, well, Jesus
22:22 had a very poor mother,
22:25 poor in this world's goods.
22:28 She was a Jewish girl, just a young woman.
22:32 She didn't come into a wealthy home.
22:37 But she was a marvelous person.
22:39 She's been venerated by millions
22:41 of people around the world.
22:44 His foster father was a man by the name of Joseph.
22:48 And Joseph was a decent good man
22:51 who worked with his hands.
22:54 He was a carpenter.
22:58 And His son became a carpenter too.
23:01 And I want you to know,
23:03 He must have been the greatest carpenter
23:04 this world has ever seen.
23:07 He was a strong young man.
23:11 He went to the cross in the prime of His youth.
23:16 From the record of the scriptures,
23:18 it appears that Jesus had four brothers,
23:22 you could read in the Bible,
23:23 it actually gives you their names.
23:26 And it appears that He had at least two sisters.
23:32 And people loved Him.
23:34 Little children would gather around Him,
23:36 they loved Him, He said,
23:38 "Allow the little children to come unto me,
23:40 forbid them not."
23:43 Jesus was brought up in a family
23:45 because a family is something
23:47 that is very, very important to God.
23:50 In today's day and age, my friend,
23:53 the family is being destroyed.
23:57 You know, it's true.
23:59 We see the family under attack in Australia,
24:02 in the United States of America,
24:04 we've got all these different types of lifestyles.
24:08 But Jesus was born into a family,
24:11 with a mum and dad, and brothers and sisters.
24:17 And Jesus was the most
24:20 wonderful, wonderful, wonderful child
24:23 that this world has ever seen.
24:26 He was not just like any other child in a way,
24:30 because He was God,
24:33 the great Creator in human flesh,
24:36 so we say, oh, come, let us adore Him.
24:40 Christ the Lord.
24:44 Did Jesus sin like the rest of us?
24:50 Jesus was totally sinless.
24:55 Jesus kept His father's commandments perfectly.
24:59 He was the best person that this world has ever seen.
25:04 He was not overly what you'd say religious,
25:10 He was not sanctimonious.
25:12 But people loved Him.
25:14 Everybody loved him.
25:16 He was the great defender of women.
25:19 Men admired Him.
25:21 They looked up to Him, you would have liked Him.
25:25 Did you hear this?
25:26 You would have liked Jesus.
25:29 Now I know today around the world.
25:32 So many people are giving up on the Christian church.
25:35 I want to say this to you today.
25:37 Don't give up, my friend,
25:39 because Jesus is the best person
25:42 that this world has ever seen.
25:44 And the world needs Jesus more today than it is
25:47 ever needed Him.
25:49 Children loved Him.
25:51 Women respected Him.
25:52 Men admired Him.
25:55 He was a complete human being but without sin.
25:58 He was like a tremendous mountain peak,
26:03 standing above all the other lofty mountains.
26:08 He was the Son of God and He was the Son of Man.
26:26 Many people no matter what their age
26:29 still have their first teddy bear.
26:32 It's hard to let them go.
26:34 Their stitches might be loose, the stuffing flat,
26:38 one ear a little lopsided,
26:40 but they were always there for us.
26:43 Imagine giving a child their very first teddy bear,
26:47 especially when they are sick and lonely.
26:50 They will always remember
26:52 that someone they didn't even know
26:54 cared enough to bring them a new friend
26:56 when they needed it most.
26:58 Will you help the Carter Report bring cheer to these children?
27:03 You can mail a bear or send a donation
27:05 and we will buy the bears for you.
27:08 Please send your bears or donation
27:10 to the address on the screen.
27:14 For COVID protection,
27:15 please send the bears in their original packaging.
27:18 Thank you for your kindness and giving cheer
