00:33 Welcome to the Carter Report. 00:35 Here's John Carter. 00:38 Welcome back, my friend. 00:40 We're talking about Are You a Marked Man? 00:42 The coming world boycott 00:44 and the coming world dictatorship. 00:46 We're talking today in this section of the program, 00:49 part two, we're talking about the image of the beast. 00:53 The first beast is the great church 00:56 of the dark ages. 00:57 We're going to have a text here, 00:58 Revelation Chapter 17. 01:02 And I'm going to read it to you Revelation Chapter 17 01:06 and verses 3 and onwards. 01:07 "So he carried me away in the Spirit 01:11 into the wilderness. 01:13 And I saw a woman," that's the church, 01:15 "sitting on a scarlet beast 01:17 which was full of names of blasphemy, 01:19 having seven heads and ten horns. 01:22 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, 01:24 and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, 01:28 having in her hand 01:29 a golden cup full of abominations 01:32 and filthiness of her fornication." 01:35 This is the Church of the Dark Ages. 01:38 "And on her forehead a name was written, Mystery, 01:41 Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots 01:43 and of the abominations of the earth. 01:46 I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints 01:49 and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. 01:53 When I saw her, I marveled with great amazement." 01:58 This is what the great American preachers 02:03 used to preach. 02:05 This woman here is the picture of the Church 02:09 of the Dark Ages 02:11 that had her hands crimson with a blood of the saints. 02:16 She is a union, the woman, 02:20 the church, the beast is the state. 02:23 She is a union behold of church and state, 02:27 which is the very antithesis, 02:30 the very antithesis of the gospel of Christ 02:33 but the very essence of antichrist. 02:38 Now I've got a statement here from the great historian. 02:41 I don't know if I got time to read it, 02:43 but I'm gonna try to. 02:45 Now let me show you this. 02:46 Here you got the Pontifex Maximus. 02:49 There you got Caesar, divine Caesar Augustus. 02:52 Notice what he's called. 02:54 Just have a look at this, my friend. 02:55 He is called Pontifex Maximus. 02:59 That's the same title of the Pope. 03:01 Over here you've got the name of the Pope 03:04 and you've got his title, it is Pontifex Maximus, 03:08 the title of the pagan Roman emperor 03:11 was Pontifex Maximus. 03:13 It became the title of the Church of Rome. 03:19 Now Neumann spoke about this, the great church historian, 03:24 he spoke about this. 03:26 And from these readings and from history, 03:29 we have deducted the infallible truth 03:33 that the church not only conquered Rome 03:37 but Rome conquered the church, 03:40 and that became the Great Apostasy 03:43 of the antichrist of the Church of the Dark Ages. 03:49 Are you listening to me, my friends? 03:52 This is the church 03:54 that carried out the persecution of dissidents. 03:58 This was the church of the bloody inquisition. 04:02 But the pagans actually won. 04:05 The church accommodated the teachings of the pagans. 04:09 Just look at this. 04:11 They had the day of the Sun, Sunday. 04:14 They had the worship of the Virgin Queen of Heaven. 04:16 They had salvation by works. 04:18 They had Pontifex Maximus. 04:20 They had an army of priests. 04:22 They got it all from the dragon. 04:24 They got it all from the dragon. 04:26 They got it all, my friend, from the Roman Empire. 04:31 You say this is speculation. 04:33 No, no, no, my friend. 04:34 This is the truth. 04:35 This is history. 04:37 This is God's own truth. 04:38 This is not my opinion. 04:41 They had an army of priests. 04:43 They had the veneration of dead saints. 04:46 They had prayers for the dead. 04:47 You don't read about these things 04:49 in the Holy Scriptures. 04:51 They had the relics, 04:52 the veneration of the relics of dead people, 04:55 they had church join the state. 04:57 You had the persecution of heretics, 05:00 the immortality of the soul, images and idols, 05:05 prayers to the dead saints and much, much more. 05:10 And so many people went along with this 05:13 because nobody wanted to step out of line. 05:15 They became just a race of conformists. 05:21 And so the image of the beast 05:22 will be a copy of this antichrist system, 05:26 the image of the beast, 05:28 let me get this into your heads today, 05:30 the image of the beast 05:32 will be a copy of church and state 05:36 and persecuting the true saints of God. 05:39 That's what the image of the beast is. 05:43 I've got a statement here 05:44 from a great and profound commentator. 05:48 Ellen White wrote in 1910, 05:51 "When the Protestant churches 05:53 shall unite with the secular power 05:56 to sustain a false religion for opposing 06:00 which their ancestors endured the fiercest persecution, 06:06 when the state shall use its power 06:08 to enforce the decrees 06:09 and sustain the institutions of the church, 06:14 then will Protestant America 06:16 have formed an image to the papacy 06:20 and there will be national apostasy 06:24 which will end only in national ruin," 06:27 said the great American prophetic commentator, 06:31 Ellen White. 06:35 Let me ask the searching protenant, 06:38 powerful question, 06:40 which certainly is politically incorrect. 06:44 Are you able to bear it, my friend? 06:46 Are you saying I can't... 06:47 Are you like, 06:48 "I just don't want to hear this"? 06:50 My friend, this is the truth 06:51 and that is going to judge you in the last days. 06:53 It is the truth that will save your souls 06:56 if you will listen. 06:58 I asked the question, could this happen soon? 07:03 Church and state joined together 07:06 in the United States of America. 07:09 Could we have a theocracy 07:11 and a time of persecution? 07:15 Could we face this biggest test? 07:18 Could our government be part of this? 07:21 Could we become so involved in nationalism 07:24 and party politics 07:26 that we could become participants 07:28 in the last great work of Satan? 07:34 Here it is, from my heart based on the Word of God. 07:38 You might say, "I don't like it," 07:39 but that's not my problem that's yours. 07:43 You and I need to seek God and seek the truth. 07:49 "The final deception will not come from atheism. 07:54 It will come from the lamb that speak says a dragon. 07:57 It'll come from the church. 08:01 It will not come from the far left 08:03 with his anti-Christian agenda," which I oppose. 08:07 "But it comes from the lamb that speaks as a dragon. 08:10 It comes from counterfeit Christianity. 08:12 It comes from the false prophet," 08:14 anybody listening? 08:18 "It may well be an aggressive reaction 08:20 to the dangerous liberal anti-Christian ideas 08:24 of the radical left." 08:26 Now I know 08:29 I'm being completely politically incorrect, 08:32 but I say to you, I don't care because it is the truth. 08:38 Let me give you some examples of the radical left agenda. 08:43 Let me tell you 08:44 how the radical left is destroying America 08:46 that arose as a nation 08:48 founded on Christian truths. 08:53 Now let me make it very plain. 08:58 We love homosexual, we love gays, 09:01 we love people of all different types of religion 09:07 and different sexualities 09:11 because it seems to be many today. 09:15 But we see in America, 09:16 we have seen in America 09:19 the bringing in of same sex marriage revolution. 09:24 You may agree with it, my friend. 09:27 And we see the war 09:28 upon the traditional American family, 09:30 who would have believed it. 09:32 If I'd said these things 50 years ago, 09:34 you would have run me out of town. 09:38 The Clintons fought to establish DOMA. 09:41 You remember this? 09:42 The Defense of Marriage Act, one man, one woman. 09:46 That's what the Clintons did. 09:48 It would have been impossible 09:50 to get elected to the White House, 09:51 Congress or Senate 09:53 while promoting same sex marriage, 09:55 an anathema couldn't have been done. 09:58 But how quickly things changed? 10:00 The Supreme Court entered the realm of religion 10:03 and, I would say, making a tremendous blunders, 10:08 Justice Roberts said 10:12 and the Supreme Court overturned 10:13 thousands of years of civilization. 10:18 We are seeing a war today against the Bible 10:23 and against Christ and against the home 10:26 and against Christians. 10:29 And we talk about freedom of speech. 10:34 The radical left doesn't believe 10:35 in freedom of speech. 10:37 On University, university campuses in America, 10:40 conservatives are shouted down. 10:44 No freedom of speech for Christians 10:46 who believe the Bible, 10:47 think of the Christian Baker in Colorado, 10:50 who was persecuted for his faith. 10:54 Where was the tolerance? 10:58 The radical left 11:00 believes in freedom of speech for themselves 11:04 and the promotion of every sexual practice, 11:07 men becoming women, women becoming men. 11:12 And the Clintons passed DOMA, the Defense of Marriage Act, 11:16 what went wrong in 20 years? 11:20 Well, I guess votes had something to do with it. 11:22 What did Jesus say? 11:24 Genesis 1 and 2, 11:25 it talks about the creation of men and women, and the home. 11:30 Notice what Jesus said in Matthew 19:4, 5. 11:35 "And He answered and said to them, 11:36 'Have you not read 11:38 that He who made them at the beginning 11:39 made them male and female', and said, 'For this reason, 11:43 a man shall leave his father and mother 11:47 and be joined to his wife, 11:48 and the two shall become one flesh.'" 11:51 I'm here to tell you something. 11:52 I'm a Christian. 11:54 I believe in Jesus. 11:56 I believe in the Bible. 11:58 I believe in America, I believe in freedom of speech. 12:03 I believe that you've got the right 12:05 to express your opinion. 12:07 And I've got the right to preach the truth 12:10 as Jesus taught it. 12:13 I believe in freedom. 12:16 I think the state schools 12:17 and the indoctrination of little boys and girls, 12:20 the great intolerance, we will silence you, 12:23 we will destroy you if you dare say a word against us. 12:27 That's the liberal left, the far left. 12:29 It is a war against Christianity, 12:32 especially fought by the liberal media 12:34 in America. 12:36 We have today 12:38 sometimes the destruction of Christian symbols, 12:40 Jesus, Mary, the desecration of places of worship, 12:46 the burning of churches by God haters. 12:49 What would the Pilgrim Fathers say they would be aghast? 12:54 Washington said it's impossible to govern a nation 12:57 without God and the Bible. 13:00 What do people say about that? 13:02 I've even heard people tell me, 13:04 the founding fathers were atheists. 13:06 I mean what ignorance. 13:08 We have today the repudiation of the work ethic 13:11 and the glorification of communism. 13:14 I've seen enough of communism to last for eternity. 13:18 When I was in Russia, when I went there, 13:20 when communism was ruling, I saw the empty shelves, 13:25 and I saw people starving. 13:27 That's what communism does. 13:29 What's wrong with people? Don't they remember anything? 13:33 Are they brain dead? 13:35 I remember once I bought a truckload of fish 13:39 because the people were starving. 13:40 I bought all this fish and I gave it to them. 13:43 That's what communism does. 13:45 It starves people to death. 13:47 I believe in the good old 13:50 biblical work ethic. 13:55 Now it could well be, listen to me. 13:58 The Lamb that speaks as dragon in the last days 14:02 may well be a reaction 14:03 to the radical agenda 14:06 of the radical far left. 14:10 But now he is something which will sober you up. 14:14 But the reaction may be even worse. 14:17 Nothing could be worse. 14:19 But the Bible says it could be. 14:22 I want you to look at history. 14:25 You know, bear with me, please. 14:28 I want to say this to you. 14:30 Those who forget the past 14:34 are condemned to repeat its errors 14:37 I'm amazed today in America at the ignorance of people 14:42 concerning history. 14:44 Some people tried to tell me 14:46 the other day that Hitler was a communist. 14:56 He hated communism. 14:58 He was a dictator but he hated communism. 15:03 And let me just tell you 15:06 why Hitler won over the masses. 15:10 Well, there was injustice. 15:12 You know, people all the time today talking about injustice, 15:15 injustice, injustice. 15:18 Well, the British, French, 15:19 and the Americans treated the Germans 15:22 after the First World War rather unjustly. 15:26 So the Germans were talking, 15:28 "We're not being treated properly 15:29 injustice, injustice, injustice." 15:33 And it was true. 15:34 Then there came the collapse of the German economy. 15:38 The Deutsche Mark collapsed. 15:44 In the morning, if you wanted to buy a loaf of bread, 15:46 you took along a wheelbarrow of Deutsche Marks. 15:51 But if you wanted to buy a loaf of bread in the evening, 15:54 you had to get a truckload. 15:57 And if you went out for dinner 15:59 and if you got there at seven o'clock, 16:02 you prolong the meal for as long as you could 16:06 because the currency was collapsing, 16:08 because if you waited a couple of hours, 16:11 you'd get your meal for say 25%. 16:15 So you had a collapsing economy, 16:19 that always gets the attention of the masses. 16:22 And this brought about the rise of the rabid 16:25 left in Germany, the communists. 16:29 And Marxism of course, 16:31 communism originated with a German, 16:33 Karl Marx came from Germany. 16:37 And then Hitler came on the scene. 16:40 And he was saying to the people, 16:41 "We're going to make Germany great again, 16:44 we've been beaten up by the allies, 16:47 but we're going to get on top 16:49 and we're going to rule the world." 16:52 Let me tell you something. 16:53 There's nothing wrong 16:54 in trying to make your nation great again, that's good. 16:59 But when it becomes a dictatorship, that's bad. 17:04 Now Hitler was popular 17:08 because he was standing out against... 17:10 Listen to me. 17:12 He was standing out against the war 17:15 on traditional German Christian values. 17:19 Are you listening to me? 17:22 The German people who saw their values being eroded 17:25 and the church knocked down, 17:27 and Hitler came out and he said, 17:29 "I'll be your champion." 17:34 Is there anything new under the sun? 17:36 He became their Constantine. 17:39 And the German people said, "Thank God." 17:44 Hitler was against the radical, socialistic left. 17:49 He hated communism. 17:52 Now I'm going to tell you something 17:54 that a lot of people don't teach anymore 17:56 and they denied because it's politically incorrect. 18:00 But it is the truth and history will support me. 18:05 Hitler had the support of the Pope. 18:10 The Pope thought Hitler was a great, 18:12 great blessing to the world 18:14 because he was getting rid of the communists 18:18 and the liberals. 18:20 So Hitler had the support of the Pope, 18:23 there's a book called "Hitler's Pope," 18:25 you ought to read it. 18:26 He had the support of the Roman Catholic Church. 18:29 He had the support of virtually all of the Lutherans 18:33 and all of the Protestants in Germany. 18:38 Now even the king of England, 18:41 who abdicated 18:43 over the Wallis Simpson scandal, 18:48 he was a supporter of Hitler. 18:53 And when he went over to Germany 18:56 after his abdication, he gave the Sieg Heil. 19:01 I'm glad they got rid of that king, 19:04 that many of the British people at the start 19:07 thought Hitler was a blessing to the world. 19:11 Ninety-five percent of the Germans loved Hitler 19:16 and supported his agenda. 19:19 He was seen as the savior of the church 19:22 and the German home. 19:26 So are you still with me? 19:28 Are you following me? 19:30 Is this too strong? 19:33 So the radical right is a reaction 19:36 usually to the radical left. 19:40 So it was in Germany, 19:42 so it has been around the world, 19:44 so it will be in America. 19:48 The Lamb that speaks is a dragon 19:50 could easily be a Christian reaction 19:53 to the left-wing socialists 19:56 with their perverse 19:57 sexual revolution. 20:02 And we've got all of the symptoms 20:04 here in the United States of America. 20:08 We have the war against the church, 20:12 the war against the Bible, 20:15 the war against marriage, 20:18 one man, one woman. 20:20 I tell you, my friend, it is time, 20:24 it is time for the lamb 20:26 to come. 20:30 But the lamb that comes in Revelation 13 20:36 speaks as a dragon 20:39 because it is 20:41 counterfeit Christianity. 20:45 I want you to get this. 20:48 This lamb that comes as pseudo Christian power 20:52 that arises in the last days 20:57 that identifies with Christ, 21:00 this is pseudo Christianity. 21:06 This is the image to the beast. 21:10 This is the power, my friend, 21:13 that arises as a reaction against the left 21:19 with all its heresies. 21:24 I want you to notice now what's going to happen next. 21:33 and onwards. 21:35 Hey, this is tough stuff. 21:38 Revelation 13:15 and onwards 21:40 is talking about church and state joined together. 21:45 "He was granted power 21:46 to give breath to the image of the beast," 21:48 that's the copy of the church Dark Ages church and state, 21:51 "that the image of the beast should both speak 21:54 and cause as many as would not worship 21:56 the image of the beast to be killed." 21:58 So church and state come to... 22:00 Many people say, "That's the greatest thing 22:02 if church and state got together in America." 22:04 Listen to me, 22:05 when church and state unite in America, 22:08 we will have the very embodiment of antichrist. 22:12 That's what the Bible says. 22:14 That's why I'm preaching these things. 22:18 "Cause as many as would not worship 22:19 the image of the beast to be killed, 22:22 He causes all, both small and great, 22:25 rich and poor, free and slave, 22:28 to receive a mark on their right hand 22:29 or on their foreheads, 22:31 and that no one may buy or sell 22:33 except one who has the mark or the name of the beast 22:37 or the number of his name." 22:39 Are you listening to me? 22:42 The Bible says that in the last days, 22:46 church and state are going to unite together 22:51 and we are going to have a modern dictatorship. 22:55 People are going to say, "Hallelujah, 22:57 it is the power of God." 22:58 No, my friend, it will be the power of the devil. 23:01 Church and state enforcing religious laws. 23:07 It is starting to happen 23:08 here in America. 23:14 The angry religious right will join with the state 23:17 repudiate the constitution and enforce religious laws. 23:21 What I can't do through the power of the Spirit of God, 23:23 they will do with the sword. 23:26 It will be a rerun of the Dark Ages 23:29 with a modern twist 23:30 complete with computers and cameras 23:33 and dissidents will be prosecuted. 23:37 And finally, the left will come to the party 23:40 to save their own damned souls. 23:47 This is the truth. 23:50 Dietrich Bonhoeffer 23:52 was a dissident Lutheran pastor. 23:55 He stood out against the Nazis. 23:58 He stood out against Hitler, 24:01 almost all the Lutherans, all of them 24:04 95% or more 99% shouted Sieg Heil 24:09 and marched in lockstep with a fuehrer, 24:12 for the glory of God. 24:14 One of us said no. 24:18 In the end, they put him to death, 24:21 but he'll be with Christ in paradise. 24:24 I want to tell you today we need courage, fidelity, 24:27 and loyalty to Christ. 24:29 And we need to break with the crowd. 24:31 We need holy nonconformity. 24:34 I ask you today, are you are a conformist? 24:37 Are you a marked man? 24:41 Or will you stand for Christ? 24:43 Like the three Hebrews. 24:46 Three Hebrews, 24:48 back on the Plain of Dura in days of Babylon, 24:51 you know the story Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. 24:54 They wouldn't bow down to the image. 24:56 You know the story. 25:02 Saints, heroes. 25:04 Then the king got them 25:05 and threw them into the blazing burning fiery furnace. 25:12 Dissidents, you and I need to be dissidents 25:15 for Christ's sake, not conformers. 25:19 But Christ came down and stood with those young men 25:24 and they were delivered. 25:26 And history tells us the story of these young men 25:29 they would not budge, 25:33 they would not bend, 25:36 they would not bow, and they would not burn. 25:45 Are you ready for it?
