00:02 for the great Manila programs. 00:04 But with the pandemic, 00:06 John Carter brings this teaching on the occult 00:09 from his studio in Los Angeles. 00:12 John Carter will now bring out into the open, 00:15 the secretive and hidden world of the occult. 00:23 Hello, friend. 00:24 Today we're talking about the sinister, 00:27 evil world of the occult. 00:31 I want to welcome our viewers around the world, 00:33 across the East, great United States of America, 00:36 down there to the great land down under to Australia. 00:39 But especially, today, to my friends 00:44 in the great land of India. 00:47 What a tremendous place, 00:50 population of 1.2 to 1.3 00:55 billion people. 00:58 And many of those people there believe in the spirit. 01:01 They believe in the occult. 01:03 And seeing we're on Indian television, 01:05 I'm talking to you right now. 01:08 And I want you to listen very, very carefully 01:11 to the texts out of a holy scriptures 01:14 that we believe were given to us 01:17 by God Himself. 01:20 In the first segment of this program 01:22 on the sinister world of the occult, 01:26 we told you the story of the king of Israel, 01:29 King Saul, 01:30 who went along to see a spiritist. 01:33 And the medium or the witches, 01:38 as she is called in the scriptures, 01:40 brought up the Prophet Samuel. 01:43 But the truth of the matter was, 01:45 it wasn't the Prophet Samuel at all, 01:47 because Samuel was dead. 01:50 And Jesus said that the dead are sleeping, 01:53 awaiting the resurrection. 01:56 Therefore, 01:58 if it was not the Prophet Samuel, 02:00 who was it? 02:01 And we answered that question. 02:03 It was a masquerading, 02:07 deceiving, evil spirit. 02:11 And the Bible tells us, yes, 02:13 listen to this very carefully, my friends. 02:16 The Bible tells us, are you ready for this? 02:19 The Bible tells us 02:20 there is an unseen world of evil spirits. 02:27 I'll say it again, the Bible teaches, 02:30 I want you to hear this, 02:32 there is an unseen world of evil spirits. 02:38 Let this sink down 02:40 into the molecules of your mind, 02:43 I tell you today. 02:45 Now I'm going to turn over here to a text. 02:48 I'm going to come over here 02:49 to 1 Corinthians 51 and onwards. 02:51 And you might wonder, 02:53 "Why on earth are you reading this text?" 02:54 Well, it'll be self-evident. 02:57 "Behold, I tell you a mystery: 03:00 We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed." 03:04 In the New Testament, 03:06 as well as in the Old Testament, 03:08 death is symbolized by the word, sleep. 03:12 When a person dies, the Bible says, 03:15 "He goes to sleep." 03:17 In other words, he becomes unconscious. 03:20 You may say to me, 03:22 this goes against what all the preachers say. 03:24 I'm not very concerned 03:26 because I want to follow Jesus and the Bible. 03:29 It says, we're not all going to sleep, 03:32 but we should all be changed. 03:34 Verse 52, "In a moment, 03:37 in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. 03:41 For the trumpet will sound, 03:43 the dead will be raised incorruptible, 03:46 and we shall be changed. 03:48 For this corruptible," this corruptible body, 03:52 "must put on incorruption, and this mortal," 03:55 this mortal body, "must put on immortality. 03:58 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, 04:02 and this mortal has put on immortality, 04:04 then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, 04:07 'Death is swallowed up in victory.'" 04:10 My friend, and just wait for this. 04:12 I do not believe in the immortality of the soul, 04:16 because the doctrine of the immortality of the soul 04:19 is not found in the Holy Bible. 04:21 It came to us from the ancient Egyptians, 04:25 who passed it on to the Babylonians, 04:28 who passed it on to the Persians, 04:31 who passed it on to the Greeks, 04:34 who passed it on to the Romans, 04:36 who passed it on to the Roman Church. 04:39 Not taught in the Bible. 04:41 And the Bible says that the dead are sleeping, 04:45 a beautiful peaceful sleep. 04:48 And they are awaiting the resurrection. 04:53 So the Bible says, 04:55 all the saints are sleeping 04:58 and it's not talking about church. 05:01 Listen, 1 Corinthians 15: 6, 05:05 "After that he was seen by over 500 brethren at once," 05:09 speaking of Christ, 05:11 "of whom the greater part remained to the present, 05:14 but some have fallen asleep." 05:18 The Bible, Jesus, 05:20 all the great saints in the New Testament 05:23 talk about death as a sleep. 05:25 Do you hear me? 05:27 Do you get it? 05:28 Listen very, very carefully. 05:31 All the saints are sleeping. 05:34 Samuel, the prophet is sleeping. 05:37 Therefore, that being 05:39 that appeared in the form of Samuel 05:41 was not Samuel, 05:43 but a masquerading demon. 05:45 Do you get it? 05:46 Peter is sleeping. 05:48 Now, my great friends, 05:49 in the Roman Catholic Church 05:51 tell me that their church is built 05:53 upon St. Peter, 05:54 but I wouldn't want a church 05:56 that was built upon a dead saint. 05:58 I want a church that is built upon a living Christ. 06:02 That's the difference. 06:03 So Peter is sleeping. 06:05 The Blessed Virgin Mary is sleeping. 06:09 Paul, the great apostle is sleeping. 06:12 All the holy apostles are sleeping, 06:15 awaiting the blessed resurrection, 06:18 when Christ shall return. 06:20 And our loved ones are sleeping. 06:22 In fact, it says in Acts 2:34, 06:26 that the man who wrote the Book of Psalms, 06:30 this mighty prophet of God whose name was David. 06:35 It tells me something very significant. 06:38 It says in Acts 2:34, just listen to this, please. 06:43 "For David did not ascend into the heavens." 06:45 You say, 06:47 "Well, that's not what my preacher says. 06:49 That's not what my church says. 06:51 That's not what I want to believe." 06:53 My friend, I believe in Christ. 06:56 I believe in the Holy Scriptures. 06:59 I believe in the teachings of the prophets. 07:02 "For David did not ascend into the heavens." 07:05 David is not in heaven. 07:07 David is sleeping, 07:09 awaiting the resurrection 07:11 when he will be with Christ in paradise. 07:14 But he says himself, 07:16 "The Lord said to my Lord, 'Sit at my right hand.' 07:19 For David did not ascend into the heavens.'" 07:22 Therefore, Samuel is not in heaven, 07:25 Peter is not in heaven, Mary is not in heaven, 07:29 Paul is not in heaven. 07:31 All the holy apostles are not in heaven. 07:34 Our beloved dead, 07:37 our beloved dead, I tell you are sleeping, 07:41 awaiting the resurrection. 07:44 That's why the Bible tells me not to trust in the apostles, 07:47 not to pray to the apostles, not to pray to Peter, 07:51 not to pray to Mary. 07:53 You say, "But I've been taught to pray to Mary." 07:55 I'm sorry. I'm sorry. 07:57 But the Bible tells me that Mary cannot save. 08:01 Acts 4:12 is one of the great text. 08:05 Acts 4:12, says, 08:10 "Nor is there salvation in any other, " 08:13 that includes Mary, 08:15 "for there is no other name under heaven 08:17 given among men by which we must be saved." 08:20 And it is talking about Jesus. 08:26 The only way, my friend, you can be saved 08:28 is through the Lord Jesus Christ, 08:31 not through the saints. 08:37 Now I know in Mexico, other parts of the world, 08:41 people have great feasts. 08:44 And they go to honor the dead. 08:47 And they take little offerings and so forth. 08:49 They do the same in India, 08:53 because they believe the dead are conscious 08:56 and the dead becomes spirits 08:58 and the spirits can come back to them. 09:00 Listen to me, please listen to me, 09:03 for your soul salvation, 09:06 the Bible teaches that only Christ can save us 09:10 because the true church is built 09:14 upon the living Christ. 09:17 False churches are built upon men. 09:23 The Bible tells me that Jesus saves. 09:28 All right, then, you folks are logical. 09:31 I'm trying to be logical. 09:34 Here's the next question. 09:36 Who are the spirits in spiritism? 09:38 Who are these beings 09:40 that appear in the seance chamber? 09:43 Who are the gods, the spirits in India? 09:49 Who was that being 09:51 that appeared so long ago 09:53 in the seance chamber with King Saul? 09:55 Will anybody tell me please? 09:57 Who are these beings, who are the spirits, 10:01 if they're not the spirits of the dead? 10:03 Well, I'm turning over here to Revelation 12:7-9, 10:09 dear hearts and gentle people. 10:12 Revelation 12:7-9. 10:15 I want to give it to you out of the Bible, 10:19 Revelation 12:7-9. 10:21 "And war broke out in heaven." 10:24 Can you believe it? 10:27 There was a tremendous cosmic struggle. 10:29 How long ago? 10:31 Aeons ago. 10:32 "War broke out in heaven. 10:34 Michael, " that's another name for Christ, 10:36 "and his angels fought with the dragon." 10:39 You have Christ and you've got the dragon. 10:41 "And the dragon and his angels fought." 10:43 What a fight this must have been. 10:46 "But they did not prevail, 10:48 nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 10:52 So the great dragon was cast out, 10:55 that serpent of old, 10:56 called the Devil and Satan," 10:58 Satan, "who deceives the whole world, 11:01 he was cast to the earth 11:03 and his angels were cast out with him." 11:06 The Bible tells me 11:07 that there was a cosmic struggle 11:09 over truth and error, 11:12 righteousness and evil. 11:15 And the Bible makes it plain, 11:16 there was one great personality, 11:20 the one who we worship, Christ. 11:23 And the Bible tells me that His angels fought 11:26 against the dragon, Satan, the great serpent of old, 11:31 and he was so magnificent in his persuasive powers that, 11:37 wait for this, 11:38 one third of the angels joined with him 11:42 in rebellion against Almighty God! 11:45 What chance have you got? 11:48 You and I got no chance at all against this power, 11:51 except if we are in Christ. 11:55 And Christ is our Lord. 11:58 So one third of the angels, they were spirit beings, 12:00 they remained spirit beings. 12:03 They apostatized. 12:04 They gave up the holy faith. 12:06 They were deceived, 12:08 and they joined forces with a mastermind of evil. 12:15 There he's our mastermind of evil. 12:19 Are you listening to me? 12:22 He's a mastermind of evil. 12:25 And I think there must be 12:27 billions of these fallen angels. 12:31 They are the spirits in spiritism, 12:34 not your loved ones. 12:36 Don't be taken in. 12:39 They are the ascended masters, 12:41 these so called gods that come back to talk to us. 12:45 They are the demon gods of paganism. 12:49 You say, "You're too strong." 12:51 No, I'm just telling you the truth. 12:52 Do you want to know the truth 12:54 or you just want a lot of hogwash? 12:56 If you turn to this program, you're gonna get the truth. 12:58 So help us God. 13:01 The spirits in the seance chamber, 13:03 the gods of the New Age, the gods of paganism. 13:10 I've been to these places. 13:12 I have gone into their temples 13:16 and I have felt their presence. 13:20 I went only with Christ beside me. 13:23 I went there because I needed to. 13:25 But stay away from those places, my friend. 13:29 These are the realms not of the dead. 13:33 These are the realms of evil spirits, 13:39 fallen angels, much smarter than you, 13:42 much smarter than me. 13:43 That is why we hang to Christ. 13:46 That's why we need Christ. 13:50 Now Bible prophecy teaches 13:52 that evil spirits will invade and occupy planet earth 13:56 during the last days, our times. 13:59 I seem to think it's already happening. 14:02 Come over here to Revelation 16:13-14, 14:05 I give it to you for your consideration 14:08 out of the Bible. 14:10 People tell me today, 14:11 "Well, we just don't want too much." 14:13 Well, I'm going to give you too much 14:15 because I want to see you saved. 14:17 Verse 13 and 14, 14:19 "And I saw 14:20 three unclean spirits like frogs 14:23 coming out of the mouth of the dragon, 14:25 out of the mouth of the beast, 14:27 out of the mouth of the false prophet." 14:30 That's the great triple apostasy. 14:32 I can't talk about it now. 14:34 Verse 14, 14:35 "For they are the spirits of demons, 14:39 performing signs," 14:41 doing miracles, 14:42 "which go out to the kings of the earth 14:44 and of the whole world, 14:45 to gather them to the battle 14:47 of that great day of God Almighty." 14:49 The Bible teaches 14:50 that planet earth is going to be 14:53 invaded in the last days, by millions, 14:55 probably billions of mighty deceiving angels. 15:02 Now we're going to talk about the demons 15:04 from the bottomless pit. 15:05 I'm going to turn to Revelation Chapter 9. 15:08 And I'm going to tell you something 15:09 that most folks haven't got a clue about. 15:12 But I've come to understand this, 15:14 I've studied this 50-60 years. 15:17 At last I believe I understand it. 15:19 It is a prophecy 15:21 that concerns you and me in the last days. 15:24 "Then the fifth angel sounded. 15:27 And I saw star 15:28 fallen from heaven to the earth, " 15:30 that Satan. 15:31 Satan! 15:33 "To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. 15:36 And he opened the bottomless pit, 15:38 a smoke arose out of the pits 15:40 like the smoke of a great furnace. 15:43 So the sun and the air were darkened 15:46 because of the smoke of the pit. 15:48 Then out of the smoke locusts came," 15:53 locusts came, 15:54 we're gonna have next verse, 15:56 "came upon the earth. 15:58 And to them was given power, 16:00 as the scorpions of the earth have power. 16:03 And they had a king over them, 16:05 the angel of the bottomless pit," 16:07 wait for it, 16:09 "whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, 16:11 but in Greek has the name Apollyon." 16:14 And it means destroyer! 16:19 The Bible says right in the very last days. 16:22 I believe we're living in the last days. 16:26 There comes the great fallen angel, 16:28 Satan! 16:30 God gives him permission to open up the bottomless pit. 16:35 And out of the bottomless pit comes the demons from hell. 16:41 Jesus spoke about the scorpions and all of these things. 16:44 He spoke about the evil spirits. 16:47 He described them as scorpions, 16:49 these terrible monsters. 16:50 This is symbolic language. 16:52 You say to me, 16:53 "Why does the Bible talk 16:54 about only things in symbolic language?" 16:57 Because a picture is worth a 1,000 words. 17:03 And in the last days, 17:06 the bottomless pit is opened up. 17:09 And out of the bottomless pit, come the demons from hell. 17:18 You say to me, "Oh, I know, I reckon, 17:20 I don't need to read my Bible. 17:22 I don't need to understand the truth about death. 17:25 I don't need to understand 17:26 the truth about the commandments. 17:27 My friend, 17:30 get ready to be overwhelmed by the demons from hell. 17:34 I tell you, 17:35 our only salvation is in Christ speaking through His Word. 17:41 Do you hear what I'm saying? 17:43 Our only hope today is in Christ. 17:48 Don't trust in me. 17:50 I am a mere human mortal, 17:53 full of false and everything else. 17:56 Our only hope... 17:57 Listen to me, I'm talking to you. 17:59 Are you listening to me? 18:00 I'm talking to you. 18:01 Our only hope is in Christ because in the last days, 18:07 the bottomless pit is opened up. 18:09 And the demon, the demon of demon, 18:12 Satan! 18:14 The great, great being, 18:20 the great spirit creature, 18:22 who used to stand next to God. 18:24 He was the covering cherub. 18:26 He stood in the very presence of God, 18:28 but he turned away from God and became God's enemy 18:32 and your enemy too, friend. 18:37 And with his hordes, with his hordes, 18:43 he is the great power in the seance chamber. 18:46 If you're going along to the pagan gods, 18:49 if you're praying to the spirits, 18:51 and if the spirits are visiting you, 18:54 fall upon your knees now and call out for Christ. 18:59 Call upon Christ and say, "Lord Jesus, save me now, " 19:04 while you got a chance, while you have an opportunity. 19:07 This may be your time. 19:08 I want you to know this. 19:12 Our only hope and salvation is found in Christ the Lord. 19:15 I'm going to take you 19:16 to a wonderful, wonderful story. 19:18 Luke 8:22-25. 19:21 I want you to think about this. 19:23 Luke 8... 19:24 "Now it happened, on a certain day, 19:26 that He got into a boat with His disciples. 19:28 And He said to them, 19:29 'Let us cross over to the other side of the lake.' 19:32 And they launched out. 19:33 But as they sailed He fell asleep. 19:35 And a windstorm came down on the lake, 19:38 and they were filled with water, 19:40 and they were in jeopardy." 19:43 And so boat's going to sink, 19:46 but they've forgotten that Jesus is in the boat. 19:50 And this is just a wonderful, wonderful story. 19:54 "And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, 19:56 'Master, Master, we're perishing!' " 19:57 "Don't you care we're dying. 19:58 We're gonna drown." 20:00 "He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water." 20:04 And the Bible tells us, 20:07 "They ceased, and there was a calm. 20:10 And He said to them, 'Where is your faith?' " 20:12 Faith. 20:13 "And they were afraid and marveled 20:15 saying to one another, 'Who can this be? 20:19 For He commands even the winds and the water, 20:22 and they obey Him!' " 20:24 I want you to know, so don't you forget it. 20:28 Jesus Christ is Lord of all. 20:31 He's Lord over the winds. 20:34 He's Lord over the waves. 20:36 He's Lord 20:37 over the bad circumstances in your life. 20:39 Are you still listening? 20:41 The Bible tells me 20:42 this Jesus Christ 20:44 is Lord over the demons. 20:49 Yes, He is Lord over the demons. 20:52 And if you don't have Him in your life, my friend, 20:56 beware, beware, beware. 20:59 And Luke 8:26-35, it's a long passage, 21:02 but we're just going to work through. 21:03 "Then they sailed 21:05 to the country of the Gadarenes, 21:06 which is opposite Galilee. 21:07 And when He stepped out on the land, 21:09 there met Him a certain man from the city 21:11 who had demons for a long time." 21:13 Are there demons? 21:15 If you believe in Christ, yes. 21:16 "And he wore no clothes, 21:18 nor did he live in a house but in the tombs." 21:22 The story goes on, and says, 21:25 this man who is living in the tombs, 21:28 he confronts Christ. 21:29 "When he saw Jesus, he cried out, 21:31 fell down before Him, 21:32 with a loud voice said, 21:33 'What have I to do with You, Jesus, 21:35 Son of the Most High God?' " 21:36 He's a Son of the Most High God. 21:38 "'I beg You, do not torment me!' 21:41 For He had commanded the unclean spirit 21:43 to come out of the man, 21:45 for it had often seized him, 21:46 and he was kept under guard, 21:48 bound with chains and shackles, 21:51 and he broke the bonds 21:52 and was driven by the demon into the wilderness." 21:54 There is no power that can bind Satan, 21:58 except Christ. 22:00 And so here's the confrontation. 22:04 "Jesus asked him, saying, 'What is your name?' 22:07 And he said, 'Legion,' 22:09 because many demons had entered him. 22:12 And they begged Him that He would not command them 22:15 to go out into the abyss. 22:18 Now a herd of many swine 22:20 was feeding there on the mountain. 22:21 So they begged Him 22:22 that He would permit them to enter them. 22:25 And he permitted them. 22:27 Then the demons went out of the man 22:29 and entered the swine, 22:31 and the herd ran violently down the steep place 22:34 into the lake, 22:36 and they got drowned." 22:38 I want you to know Jesus is Lord over the demons. 22:42 And there's another text 22:43 I think I'm gonna read you here, 22:46 because it tells us the sequel. 22:49 "When those who fed them," 22:51 the pig, "saw what had happened, 22:53 they fled and told it in the city and in the country. 22:56 Then they went out to see what had happened, 22:58 and came to Jesus, 23:00 and found the man 23:02 from whom the demon had departed, 23:03 sitting at the feet of Jesus, 23:05 clothed and in his right mind. 23:08 And they were afraid." 23:12 Jesus is Lord over the forces of nature. 23:17 He's Lord over the winds. 23:19 He's Lord over the waves. 23:22 Jesus is Lord of all. 23:25 And what is more, my friend? 23:29 You better believe this. 23:30 He's Lord over the demons. 23:33 He cast out all of those demons, 23:36 and the man was restored. 23:38 The man was redeemed by the power of Christ! 23:44 You say, "I'm scared of the demons." 23:46 Well, if you don't know Christ, you ought to be. 23:49 But when you take Christ into your life, 23:53 you become a fortress invincible 23:58 because Christ is Lord of all. 24:01 So what's my message today to you folks in India, 24:04 in Australia, in America, 24:06 Great Britain around the world? 24:09 Here it is. 24:10 Believe in Jesus. 24:14 Accept Him now as your Lord and Savior. 24:16 Believe with the mind, with the soul, with the heart. 24:20 Number two, believe in the Bible, 24:23 the Holy Word of God. 24:24 Get away from all the nonsense stuff. 24:27 Believe in the Bible. 24:28 Number three, 24:30 beware of the healer 24:32 who heals by the power of the spirit. 24:35 They do this all the time in the Philippines. 24:37 Been there, I've seen it done. 24:39 Beware of the healer 24:40 who heals by the power of the spirit. 24:43 Number four, refuse to go to the medium. 24:46 When they say, "Hey, come along, 24:48 we'll find out what the future holds. 24:50 Well, we'll find out who you ought to marry, " 24:52 all this rest of the stuff. 24:54 Refuse to go to the medium. 24:55 If you go to the medium, 24:56 you are going into the presence of Satan. 25:00 Number five, turn your back on evil spirits. 25:04 Number six, 25:05 renounce the devil and his evil ways. 25:09 And don't put it off. 25:11 Do it now. 25:13 Do it now, N-O-W. 25:15 Do it now. 25:19 Will you do it? 25:21 Will you come to Christ? 25:23 Let me pray for you. 25:24 Oh my Father, we thank You for Your powerful Word. 25:29 And we thank You 25:30 that Jesus Christ is Lord of all 25:34 that He's Lord over the demons. 25:36 He's Lord over the evil spirits. 25:40 And today we renounce these evil forces. 25:44 We ask You to cast them out of our lives. 25:47 And we ask You, Lord Jesus, 25:51 to come into our hearts and to make us clean, 25:55 and to make us whole. 25:58 And we say this prayer in the powerful, 26:02 in a mighty name of Jesus Christ, 26:08 our Lord and our Savior, 26:11 and for His sake and for His glory, amen. 26:17 Amen. 26:21 Time, it takes only a minute to have eternal life. 26:25 How can you get saved in a minute?
