00:01 I'm John Carter in Moscow.
00:04 In Havana, Cuba.
00:07 Now in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine.
00:10 I'm John Carter in Petra.
00:13 Right here in Communist China.
00:16 Reporting from India.
00:18 Hi, I'm John Carter in the Solomon Islands.
00:21 I'm John Carter in Soweto.
00:24 From El Salvador.
00:26 I'm John Carter in Sydney, Australia.
00:29 Today an in-depth study of Constantine
00:33 and the Mark of the Beast.
00:36 Welcome back.
00:38 We're talking about when Constantine rides again,
00:42 Constantine and the Mark of the Beast.
00:46 In the last program,
00:48 we talked about the great falling away
00:49 that happened in the Christian church
00:52 when Constantine became the emperor
00:54 and set up a theocracy.
00:57 And what we're saying today
00:59 is that what happened back in the third,
01:02 and the fourth, and the fifth centuries
01:04 is going to be repeated on a worldwide scale
01:08 starting right here
01:10 in the United States of America.
01:13 So we're talking about
01:14 the coming of a new Constantine.
01:18 When firmly established the Roman Church,
01:23 instead of the old pagan Rome
01:27 became the persecutor of heretics.
01:31 And in Europe, you had a theocracy
01:33 that lasted for more than 1,000 years.
01:36 It's going to happen again.
01:38 I want you to take your Bibles
01:40 and come over here to Revelation 17:1-3,
01:44 dear hearts and gentle people,
01:47 Revelation 17:1-3
01:50 and notice it please in the Bible.
01:54 "Then one of the seven angels
01:55 who had the seven bowls came and talked with me,
01:57 saying to me, 'Come, I will show you
01:59 the judgment of the great harlot
02:01 who sits on many waters.'"
02:03 Listen to me,
02:04 in Bible prophecy a woman is a symbol of the church.
02:09 A good woman is the good church,
02:12 and a bad woman or the harlot
02:14 is the symbol of the bad church,
02:17 or the Antichrist church.
02:19 And verse 2 says, "With whom the kings
02:21 of the earth committed fornication..."
02:23 They got married to this church.
02:26 "And the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk
02:28 with the wine of her fornication."
02:31 And on holy alliance.
02:33 "So he carried me away
02:35 in the Spirit into the wilderness.
02:37 And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast
02:40 which was full of names of blasphemy,
02:42 having seven heads and ten horns."
02:45 All commentators know whether they're Roman Catholic
02:49 or Jewish or Protestant,
02:50 they all know that in Bible prophecy,
02:53 a woman represents the church.
02:56 And this harlot woman here
02:57 represents the great Antichrist church.
03:02 And if you notice now in Revelation 17:4-5,
03:07 "The woman was arrayed with purple and scarlet,
03:12 and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls,
03:16 "she is filthy rich,
03:18 "having in her hand
03:20 a golden cup full of abominations
03:23 and the filthiness of her fornication."
03:27 And verse 6 says, look at this,
03:29 "I saw the woman," the church,
03:33 "drunk with the blood of the saints
03:36 and with a blood of the martyrs of Jesus.
03:39 And when I saw her,
03:41 I marveled with great amazement."
03:44 Here is a church.
03:47 Hey, are you listening?
03:51 What's going on today in America?
03:53 Does anybody read these prophecies anymore
03:56 or are they...
03:58 Have they become so politically correct
04:00 that they're not interested in the truth?
04:03 Now here you got a woman, that's the church,
04:06 and she's riding the beast,
04:08 and the beast is the state.
04:13 That happened in the Dark Ages.
04:15 And when the church was riding the state,
04:18 millions of people were tortured
04:21 and they were put to death.
04:23 That's the great Antichrist of Bible prophecy
04:27 and it started in the days of Constantine.
04:31 Now please, will you notice 17:18
04:38 because it tells you
04:39 where you can find this corrupt system.
04:42 "And the woman of the church,
04:44 whom you saw is that great city
04:49 which reigns over the kings of the earth."
04:52 Now listen, my friend,
04:55 you don't have to be a minister,
04:57 you don't need to be a theologian,
05:00 you don't need to be a politician,
05:02 you just need to know a little bit about history.
05:05 History tells me that the great city
05:09 that reigned over the kings of the earth
05:11 in the days of the New Testament
05:14 was the great city of Rome.
05:20 And so here is a church that is joined to the state,
05:24 and the Bible says her headquarters are in Rome.
05:30 Now I come back to the question we asked in the first segment.
05:34 Whatever happened to the words of Jesus,
05:38 my kingdom is not of this world.
05:40 Jesus said, "My ministers are not going to get
05:45 involved in politics.
05:49 My church is not going
05:50 to employ lobbyists in Washington.
05:56 My church is going to have
05:57 one great calling and one great mission."
06:01 You know what it is?
06:03 It is to preach the Gospel of Jesus.
06:06 My kingdom is not of this world,
06:09 but these people got so far from God,
06:13 it was their mission to bring the Kingdom of God
06:16 into this world through legislation
06:21 and through force.
06:24 All this was the product of a Christian theocracy,
06:29 the woman riding on the beast.
06:32 I want you to look at the screen.
06:36 These are not very nice pictures,
06:40 but these pictures illustrate
06:44 what was done when the church joined
06:47 with the state and persecuted people
06:50 who had different points of view.
06:53 Hundreds of thousands,
06:54 even millions were tortured and they were put to death
07:00 by a Christian theocracy.
07:04 And people in America say to me,
07:06 "Oh Jesus, bring back a Christian theocracy."
07:13 Edmund Burke, a British philosopher
07:16 who lived 1729-1797 said,
07:20 "Those who don't know history
07:22 are destined to repeat it."
07:28 Can I tell you one of the greatest tragedies
07:29 in America?
07:31 Many Americans have forgotten what made America America,
07:37 because people came to this country
07:39 because they were sick
07:41 of a Christian system of government,
07:47 sick of this Christian theocracy.
07:50 This lasted in Europe for more than 1,000 years.
07:56 Millions of people, Catholics, Protestants,
07:59 Jews, and Muslims tortured,
08:02 torn apart by Christian leaders
08:07 all in the name of Jesus
08:10 to bring in the Kingdom of God.
08:14 Finally, across Europe that had experienced
08:16 a time of great moral and intellectual darkness
08:21 for more than 1,000 years,
08:23 the Gospel Son arose with light,
08:25 healing, and prosperity.
08:28 After the night always comes the morning.
08:31 Martin Luther came preaching.
08:34 People say, "Oh, no, he must have been offended."
08:35 No, no, no, he was a hero.
08:38 John Knox came preaching.
08:42 The light of the Protestant Reformation revolution
08:46 burst upon the world.
08:51 Darkness fled before the rising sun.
08:56 Now finally, from England and Europe,
09:02 brave men and women set sail for America
09:07 where the air was free, and men and women
09:11 did not wear chains.
09:15 What I find another great source of consternation,
09:20 it appears to this pilgrim that so many Americans
09:25 have forgotten what made America America.
09:31 The Pilgrims fathers...
09:33 Hold on, who were they?
09:36 They were people who came to America
09:38 to establish a church without a pope
09:42 and a state without a king.
09:46 You see?
09:48 Lots of Americans don't know this, forgotten it.
09:54 They came to America to escape the despotism
09:59 and the persecution of a religious theocracy.
10:03 And now many of their children
10:05 are in Washington loving
10:08 the setup of Christian theocracy.
10:12 They will not setup a Christian theocracy,
10:14 they will setup Antichrist.
10:17 No! Yes.
10:20 Please be informed.
10:24 Today, many have forgotten what made America great.
10:27 And they want to take us back to the theocracy
10:30 of the Dark Ages.
10:34 Let me remind you of some of the silly laws
10:36 that came from a theocratic type of government
10:40 that is when the state is enforcing religious laws.
10:45 John Calvin, one of the great Protestant scholars
10:48 and a remarkable man,
10:50 he gave to the world the doctrine of predestination
10:53 that some of us don't like.
10:56 Activities forbidden in Geneva "Feasting, dancing, singing,
11:01 pictures, statues, relics, church bells, organs,
11:04 altar candles, indecent or irreligious songs, staging
11:09 or attending theatrical plays, wearing rouge,
11:12 that's the red stuff ladies put on their cheeks
11:15 so used to, jewelry, lace or immodest dress,
11:19 speaking disrespectfully of your betters,
11:24 extravagant entertainment,
11:26 swearing, gambling, playing cards, hunting,
11:29 drunkenness, naming children after anyone
11:32 but figures in the Old Testament,
11:34 reading immoral or irreligious books."
11:37 I believe that some of these things are wrong.
11:41 That it is not the church's job to enforce their laws.
11:47 It took a long time even for the Protestant reformers
11:49 to get away from a theocracy.
11:53 A father who christened his son Claude
11:56 was jailed for four days.
12:00 In the days of John Calvin called his boy Claude,
12:03 lock him up four days.
12:05 When religious people
12:07 use the state to enforce religious laws,
12:10 the result is persecution.
12:12 Not Christ, but Antichrist.
12:15 You see, my friend,
12:18 God has given us freedom of choice.
12:21 God says, "Serve Me because you love Me,
12:24 not because you're forced to serve Me."
12:27 Legislation cannot change the heart.
12:30 That is why I am appalled by ministers
12:36 and vast religious groups that try to use
12:39 the power of the state to enforce
12:43 the teachings of their church.
12:46 That is un-American, unchristian,
12:52 and evil.
12:55 Christian lobbyist,
12:57 one day I was cleaning my car on a Sunday,
13:00 person came by and said,
13:02 "We're seeking, we're going around everybody,
13:04 we're seeking to get votes for our pastor
13:07 who's gonna run for Congress."
13:09 I said, "What's wrong with him?"
13:11 Oh, he wants to get through Congress.
13:14 We want to make this a Christian nation.
13:18 Well, they talked to the wrong person.
13:22 That is a delusion.
13:23 That is a snare.
13:25 Jesus said, "You got to be born again."
13:28 Legislation can change
13:30 the outward action,
13:34 but it cannot change the heart,
13:36 only the Gospel of Christ can change the heart
13:39 and society needs a new heart.
13:42 Ministers ought to stop their politicking
13:46 and start preaching the Gospel of Christ.
13:49 How amazing?
13:50 You turn on television
13:52 and there you've got all these ministers
13:54 and they're talking politics, politics, politics
13:57 that's because they've lost their souls to the devil.
14:02 Oh, that's too strong. No, I can say it stronger.
14:06 Listen to me, a minister is called to preach Christ
14:12 and the gospel.
14:13 The gospel saves, not Washington, DC.
14:19 What's wrong with people?
14:20 If you don't remember the past,
14:22 you're going to commit its errors.
14:27 Here's another one.
14:28 This is from the Code of Connecticut.
14:30 Can you believe it?
14:31 "No one shall run on the Sabbath."
14:32 This is the state law, "Or walk in his garden,
14:35 or elsewhere except reverently to
14:37 and from meeting.
14:39 No one shall travel, cook victuals, make beds,
14:42 sweep house, cut hair, or shave on the Sabbath.
14:46 If any man shall kiss his wife or wife her husband
14:48 on the Lord's Day, Sunday,
14:50 the party in fault shall be punished
14:53 at the discretion of the court of magistrates."
14:59 That's Constantine, that is in Connecticut.
15:01 You laugh about this, it's going to happen again.
15:04 And it just won't be kissing your wife.
15:10 The genius of America.
15:16 The genius of America is seen in the Constitution.
15:20 Some people say we hate the Constitution,
15:21 we gotta get rid of it.
15:26 They are dangerous words.
15:27 The First Amendment said,
15:29 "Congress shall make no law respecting
15:32 an establishment of religion."
15:34 Congress has got no right
15:37 to setup a church.
15:42 Some of you look at me and say you don't believe it.
15:44 Where were you born I ask you?
15:47 Surely not here in America.
15:49 You must have been born in some oppressive place,
15:52 where church and state work together."
15:55 Or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
15:58 I can practice my faith in America
16:01 at present and preach
16:03 what I want to preach, you see?"
16:07 Or abridging the freedom
16:08 of speech, or of the press."
16:13 If you get rid of freedom of expression
16:18 or the freedom of the press,
16:20 you go down the road
16:22 of the communists and the Nazis.
16:26 You may not like the press, I may not like the press,
16:30 but a world or country without the press
16:36 is a very, very sad,
16:38 desolate, dark, and awful place."
16:42 Or the right of the people peaceably to assemble,
16:45 and to petition the government
16:47 for a redress of grievances."
16:49 Thomas Jefferson, you know,
16:51 I meet people all the time
16:53 who say, we'd like to get rid of this First Amendment
16:57 because we want to have a Christian nation.
17:01 We want to enforce religious laws,
17:04 we want to change society.
17:07 Thomas Jefferson said this
17:09 in a letter to Dansbury Baptists,
17:13 "Believing with you that religion is a matter
17:16 which lies solely between man and his God."
17:20 My religion is between me and my God."
17:27 That he owes account to none other
17:29 for his faith or worship,
17:32 that the legitimate powers
17:33 of government reach actions only,
17:37 "they reach actions only, "and not opinions.
17:41 I contemplate with sovereign reverence
17:45 the act of the whole American people
17:48 which declared that their legislature
17:51 should make no law
17:52 respecting an establishment of religion
17:56 or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,
17:59 thus building a wall of separation
18:02 between church and state."
18:03 I've turned on television.
18:05 I've had famous religious preachers say,
18:08 "We are opposed to the separation
18:11 of church and state."
18:15 They're getting to ride with Constantine.
18:18 In fact, they may be
18:22 the new Constantine.
18:26 I say these words kindly of people
18:31 who are ignorant of history
18:33 are condemned to repeat the errors of history.
18:38 And that statement on the separation of church
18:40 and state does not mean that
18:42 the state should be antagonistic to religion
18:45 as it is often in California.
18:51 But it means that there is no place
18:52 for a theocracy in America.
18:57 Now I'll look into the future
19:01 and Constantine rides again.
19:05 When we went to Texas, part of the Bible Belt,
19:09 that was 30 years ago,
19:13 we had some wonderful experiences
19:15 and met wonderful people.
19:17 I love Texas, the old fashioned courtesy.
19:21 I miss Texas.
19:22 They respect the decency.
19:24 Some of my best friends are Texans.
19:28 We lived in Arlington between Dallas and Fort Worth.
19:31 I remember talking to a beautiful Christian lady,
19:35 one Sunday afternoon, and she said to me,
19:38 "Wouldn't it be wonderful
19:40 when Jesus is president of America."
19:46 And America is a Christian country,
19:51 not just Texas.
19:55 In Thousand Oaks,
19:56 where we live after one election,
19:59 some time back, a lady drove up and down
20:02 the street with a big sign saying, "Hallelujah.
20:06 Jesus won." Jesus won.
20:11 Jesus has got a political party.
20:13 Yes, He's got a... Has he?
20:17 You're getting into bed with Constantine.
20:21 Today that's the voice of millions
20:23 of conservative Christians in America,
20:27 and many of us are filled with prejudice,
20:30 and we don't want to know the truth.
20:34 I stand for the Bible,
20:37 an old fashioned American values.
20:41 Thank you very much.
20:44 Now look at Revelation 13:11, 13 and 14,
20:50 "Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth,
20:52 had two horns like a lamb,
20:54 "that's the gospel, "spoke like a dragon."
20:56 That's what he's going to do.
20:57 "He performs great sign,
20:59 so that he makes fire come down
21:01 from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
21:03 and deceives those who dwell on the earth
21:05 by those signs that he was given power
21:08 to do in the sight of the beast,
21:10 telling those who dwell on the earth
21:11 to make an image to the beast,
21:14 which was wounded by the sword and lived."
21:16 You have two beasts here.
21:20 One is the beast of the Dark Ages,
21:23 the church and state, the theocracy,
21:26 the image of the beast
21:28 is the copy of the church and state.
21:31 And the Bible says that in the last days,
21:34 a power will arise that starts at very, very good
21:38 to protect the gospel.
21:41 But it gives its authority to the first beast,
21:44 the church of the Dark Ages and it sets up an organization
21:48 that is a union of church and state.
21:54 This is fundamental
21:58 American truths
22:01 that will save our souls, but more important than
22:05 American truth it is Bible truth.
22:08 The image of the beast is the copy,
22:10 the union of church and state.
22:12 Intolerant Christians who want to enforce
22:14 their religious laws upon others.
22:18 Look at Revelation 13:15-17,
22:23 "He was granted power to give breath
22:25 to the image of the beast," church and state,
22:27 "that the image of the beast," church and state,"
22:29 should both speak
22:31 and cause as many as would not worship
22:32 the image of the beast to be killed.
22:35 He causes all, both small and great,
22:37 rich and poor, free and slave to receive
22:39 a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads
22:41 and that no one may buy
22:43 or sell except one who has the mark of the beast,
22:47 or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
22:53 I know these things are not preached much today.
22:56 I wonder why?
23:00 The Bible says the beast
23:02 is the union of church and state.
23:03 It was the church that Constantine started.
23:07 Then the image of the beast
23:09 is a copy of the church and the state
23:12 and forcing religious laws
23:14 as happened in the early days of America,
23:17 Connecticut, other places, and in the Dark Ages
23:21 when Pontifex Maximus was the ruler.
23:26 Religious laws that tell you how to worship
23:28 and when to worship and this movement
23:31 will be led by people all in the name of Jesus.
23:37 The laws of the church instead of the laws of God,
23:41 and they will be forced conformity either you do it
23:46 or else we won't buy from you, we won't sell to you.
23:49 We will boycott you, we will put you to death.
23:52 It's the voice of the dragon.
23:56 And there will also be another type of conformity.
23:59 It will be willing conformity,
24:01 where heaps and heaps of people
24:04 who think they are Christians get up in a big queue,
24:08 get in a big line and they will say me too.
24:13 Don't miss me out.
24:15 I wanted so much.
24:17 Give it to me.
24:19 I want a mark of beast.
24:25 Listen to me.
24:29 The stage work is being set as I speak.
24:33 Let me tell you the great need.
24:37 The great need for Christians, non-Christians,
24:40 everybody
24:44 is courage to stand alone
24:47 against the majority for the sake of conscience.
24:51 Remember, remember, Martin Luther,
24:56 here I stand I can do none other.
25:01 Remember, Dietrich Bonhoeffer,
25:05 a Lutheran pastor in Germany.
25:08 Do you know how many went with the Nazis?
25:12 Almost all.
25:15 Not this man.
25:17 In the end they strung him up with piano wire.
25:21 Probably 99% of the Christians said me too.
25:27 If you conform now, you're going to conform then.
25:33 So I say to you, God will at the end
25:38 He will have His remnant, His Daniels, His Elijahs,
25:44 His Pauls, His Noahs.
25:48 God will have His heroes.
25:54 Let me tell you something.
25:57 Listen, if you're not God's hero now,
26:01 you won't be God's hero then.
26:06 But you and I should say with Luther,
26:11 here I stand,
26:14 I can do none other.
26:18 God help me.
26:21 Amen.
26:30 Hello, friend. I'm John Carter.
26:32 Behind me is the great city of Manila,
26:37 the capital of the Philippines.
26:39 Did you know, this is quite amazing.
26:41 There are more people living in this area
26:43 than in New York City.
26:45 And Christ died for these people.
26:48 We came here, oh, long time ago back in 1984.
26:54 What's that, 34, 35 years ago,
26:57 and we came here with a team of young people
26:59 and we came to the PICC.
27:02 It is our intent to come here,
27:05 hire the biggest hall that's available,
27:07 the greatest outdoor stadium, whatever it takes.
